Abstract

The appearance of a product influences consumer product choice in several ways. The concern of appearance packaging is necessary to encourage consumers to be more interested to consume the Dadih. Hence, improved Dadih packaging is expected to expand its market, extend the shelf life, and ease in consumption. Kansei engineering (KE) is defined as a technology that translates consumer’s feeling into design specifications. By using KE, we focused on analyzing and designing product and packaging appearance element design of Dadih based on consumer preferences. This paper was conducted to determine the requirement typical Dadih product main features packaging appearance element design by using KE. In order to determine the requirement typical Dadih product main features, Principal component analysis (PCA) was used as the methods to determine the product and packaging appearance element design. The result showed design support to find out the optimal combination product form element in term of sets of given product strategies. Finally, it was expected that using this methods will obtain optimal formulation on design of Dadih product on each personality type, so as to product attractive, innovative, preferred Dadih by consumer as well as minimize the risk of failure of new product design on the market.

Abstract

Kebutuhan akan tersedianya udara bersih sudah menjadi kebutuhan masyarakat pada umumnya. Salah satu upaya dalam menciptakan udara bersih baik di sarana Indoor maupun outdoor adalah melalui pengadaan sarana yang bebas asap rokok. Upaya tersebut tertuang dalam Perda No 5 Tahun 2008 yang mengatur mengenai Kawasan tanpa rokok.Tujuan dari survei adalah mendapatkan gambaran opini masyarakat kota Surabaya mengenai ketersediaan sarana bebas asap rokok. Survei dilakukan di semua kecamatan di kota Surabaya yaitu 31 kecamatan. Pada masing – masing kecamatan diambil satu kelurahan dan sampel kelurahan ditentukan secara proporsional. Sampel sebanyak 501 warga yang tinggal di kota Surabaya dan memiliki Kartu Tanda Penduduk. Sarana yang dimaksud meliputi Sarana kesehatan, sarana pendidikan, sarana taman bermain anak, sarana transportasi, sarana tempat ibadah, tempat umum dan tempat kerja.Hasil menunjukkan dukungan warga kota Surabaya terhadap terciptanya sarana bebas asap rokok adalah sebesar 91,4 %. Bila dibedakan berdasarkan sarana dari yang paling besar yaitu sarana fasilitas kesehatan 97,8%; pendidikan 97,4%; tempat ibadah 96,8 %; transportasi 95,8 %; kantor 93,4% dan yang paling rendah fasilitas umum yaitu 87,4 %. Besarnya harapan masyarakat demi terciptanya sarana bebas asap rokok maka semakin menguatkan pengembangan peraturan Kawasan Tanpa Rokok 100% di kota Surabaya.

Abstract

Large quantities of dyes used in the textile industry are lost to the effluents and flows into surface water during the manufacturing and processing operations. Many methods have been used such as biological, physical and chemical treatment of dye containing wastewater. Among these treatment technique, activated sludge, flocculation, and adsorption are the most commonly applied methods in Indonesia. Dyes are usually resistant to aerobic degradation, for example decolorization of azo dyes has been found to be less effective solely using this treatment. On the other hand, flocculation and adsorption methods are not destructive, mainly just concentrate and separate the pollutants phases. This research paper investigates the removal of color and chemical oxygen demand/COD from textile wastewater using advanced oxydation process either by ozone-UV and zinc oxide photocatalyst. Effects of various variables on decolorization and COD removal process have been investigated. The results showed that ozone/UV could achived a complete decolorization (100% removal) when 40 mg/l dye initial concentration was treated with 170.43 ppm/min ozonation for 120 min of incubation period. The same color removal efficiency also achieved when 20 mg/l dye initial concentration treated in the photocatalytic reactor contained 0.71 mg/cm2 of ZnO nanoparticle after 135 min of incubation period. COD removal efficiency for ozone/UV and ZnO photocatalytic treatment was 60% and 77%, respectively.

Abstract

Steel plate shear wall (SPSW) is one kind of steel earthquake resistant building structural stiffener that can dissipate the tremendous amount of quake energy, where the steel plate itself had been developed from years, and still in development. Ideally, SPSW is designed so all of its parts can absorb the energy of lateral force, seismic load for instance, through inelastic deformation. Because of that, the thickness of applied steel plate in a section of a building (a portal in this case) is determined by the shear force of the portal itself. In this research, experiment had been done using multiple applicable methods for the SPSW, where the use of it depends on the architect aspect and necessity. In this experiment, the specimen will be tested with some applicable lateral loading, where in the steel plate itself, there are two openings applied to the web plate. The result of the research shows some behavior changing of the dissipating energy throughout the steel plate, especially along the edge of the openings. Because of that fact, there are some performance degradation in the specimen, compared to the normal steel plate with stiffeners, which is 26.61% reduction of ultimate strength (624.01) kN at perforated specimen, compared to 850.24 kN at non-perforated specimen) and 11.5% reduction of dissipated energy

Abstract

The role of the property sector to the national economy is very important. Not only its role in absorbing labor but also contributions to improving national economic growth. Great relevance to other sectors of the economy also makes the property sector requires strict protection and supervision of various parties, especially the government. It aims to prevent systemic risk due to the fall of the property sector to other economic sectors. Risks and uncertainties always occur in property development. The risk of an effect on every stage of the process of the development of ideas, feasibility studies, commitment to the construction and operation phase. The risk management process is generally a continuous and iterative process, even every kind of development is different and unique properties. This study aims to identify sources of risk, risk factors, the level of hazard, vulnerability level, the level of capacity and determine the priority risks in property development process. Steps being taken in this study include: the identification of sources of risk, the stage of identification of risk factors, the stage of identification of the level of hazard, the stage of identification of the level of vulnerability, the stage of identification of the level of capacity, the stage of risk analysis and risk priority index ( IPR). Conceptually, the proposed method in this study refers to the key measures of risk management that includes identification, qualitative risk analysis in the process of property development. Data collected through interviews and questionnaires by resource persons involved in property development in the tourism area Mandalika Resort Lombok in West Nusa Tenggara Province. Results of research on the development of the area Mandalika Resort Lombok can be concluded that the stages of development that are most at risk is the stage of an idea (IPR = 0.152), followed by the stage of feasibility (IPR = 0.067), then the commitment stage (IPR = 0,036), construction (IPR = 0.026) and stage management (IPR = 0.010). The results of this assessment indicate that the idea stage is the stage of development of the property are recommended to get treatment or priority risk response. Concluded the process of property development in the region Mandalika Resort Lombok is not worth continuing before risk mitigation that is unacceptable

Abstract

Kecamatan Rungkut merupakan kecamatan dengan angka kepadatan penduduk yang tinggi, oleh karenanya Kecamatan Rungkut dituntut untuk memiliki sarana dan prasarana sanitasi yang baik. Berdasar pada kondisi eksisting yang ada di lapangan, didapati masih adanya masyarakat yang membuang limbah domestic blackwater dan greywater langsung pada saluran drainase. Sementara itu, saluran drainase seharusnya terbebas dari air limbah, selain dapat mencemari karena beban organiknya yang tinggi, tambahan debit dari air limbah tersebut dapat menyebabkan beban tampungan dari saluran drainase menjadi terlalu berlebihan. Tujuan perencanaan ini adalah untuk  merencanakan bangunan pengolahan air limbah domestik di Kecamatan Rungkut dan menghitung biaya yang dibutuhkan.Teknologi yang digunakan dalam perencanaan ini adalah Anaerobic Baffled Reactor (ABR). Data kualitas air limbah diperoleh dengan melakukan pengujian di laboratorium terhadap air limbah berdasarkan parameter yang telah ditentukan. Berdasarkan data kualitas air limbah domestik yang didapatkan, dilakukan perencanaan dan perhitungan untuk desain ABR serta perhitungan biaya yang diperlukan.ABR yang direncanakan dirancang untuk dapat melayani 100KK dengan total panjang x lebar x tinggi sebesar 15,5m x 2,3m x 2,6 m. Biaya yang diperlukan untuk pembangunan ABR adalah sebesar Rp 159.853.000,-

Abstract

Meme sinetron merupakan bentuk kreativitas warganet dan digunakan sebagai sarana penyampaian kritik sosial terhadap konten sinetron di Indonesia. Penyampaiannya yang unik dan menarik merupakan bentuk strategi penyebarluaskan gagasan/ideologi yang efektif dan efisien.  Meme internet terdiri atas elemen teks, konteks, dan kognisi sosial. Hal ini sangat sesuai dikaji dengan menggunakan instrumen analisis wacana kritis yang dikemukakan oleh Van Dijk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meme sinetron memiliki 3 tema utama yaitu kritik terhadap konten moral, kritik terhadap logika berpikir, dan kritik terhadap kreativitas. Substansi kritik yang digagas oleh komunikator meme dikemas melalui media gambar yang menarik, sesuai konteks dan kondisi masyarakat Indonesia antara lain (1) meme sinetron menunjukkan bias gender dengan lebih banyak menggunakan teks dan gambar  perempuan sebagai daya tarik meme, (2) meme sinetron menempatkan anak-anak, remaja, dan perempuan sebagai kelompok yang paling rentan terdampak tayangan sinetron, (3) kritik tidak hanya ditujukan kepada produsen sinetron namun juga kepada komisi penyiaran Indonesia (pemerintah) yang dianggap tidak mampu menjalankan perannya dengan baik, selain itu kritik juga ditujukan kepada penonton sinetron (kelompok rentan) yang secara tidak langsung ikut melestarikan tayangan sinetron yang tidak mendidik

Abstract

Keberadaan ITS memberikan pengharapan besar bagi masyarakat di sekitarnya terutama dalam usaha peningkatan sosial ekonomi. Untuk merealisasikan harapan warga di sekitar kampus, maka ITS bermaksud mengadopsi konsep tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan. Konsep perusahaan yang dikenal dengan corporate social responsibility (CSR) akan disesuaikan oleh ITS menjadi campus social responsibility (CSR). Penelitian ini bertujuan menyusun program CSR ITS, yang dilaksanakan di masyarakat di sekitar Kampus ITS Sukolilo. Kegiatan CSR ITS akan melibatkan dosen dan mahasiswa ITS. Berdasarkan data dan kebijakan-kebijakan yang ada, maka disusun Visi CSR ITS yaitu ITS pioneer kawasan cerdas berteknologi, berwawasan bahari dan lingkungan. Sedangkan misi CSR ITS adalah Menciptakan Kawasan ITS dan Sekitarnya yang Aman, Nyaman dan Tentram; Membangun, Melestarikan dan Menumbuhkembangkan Kawasan Pesisir; Menciptakan Kawasan Cerdas, Berkelanjutan dan Manusiawi. Setelah disusun Visi dan Misi selanjutnya dapat membuat strategi dan roadmap untuk CSR ITS selama 5 tahun

Abstract

A CSP (Concentrating Solar Power) system must have a receiver to receive solar ray reflection from parabolic dish collector. Based on the receiver installation to the collector, there are two type installation such as parallel to collector (horizontal direction) and perpendicular to collector (vertical direction). In this research not only we compared the receiver orientation but also we varied geometry concentration ratio. The experiment results show that the focal shape diameter elongates 2 mm and surface temperature increases 5-10°C for vertical orientation with greater concentration ratio. However, there is no significant effect to receiver with horizontal orientation. Thermal efficiency was affected by radiation and convection heat loss but for geometry concentration ratio above 100, radiation and convection heat loss gived small impact.

Abstract

Role of tool’s in enterprise is important, because a machine cannot assembled if one of tool’s is not available. The problem that occured during transaction prosses of tools due to lack of information about the availability of tools, so the operator spend some time for searching the tools and the borrower is waiting for the operator. To solve this problem, a new system of tool’s crib is requied for the tools storage. This system uses web as tools availability and uses PLC instead of operator. PLC is connected to PC using ethernet cable and programmed with Visual Studio as master. But in communication between PLC and HMI cannot communicate because PLC and HMI is a differend vendor, therefore requied an application to connected them. OPC is solution for of communication between PLC and Visual Studio because OPC is special to connected different hardware and software vendor. This OPC called CX – Server Lite from Omron. The previous system is changed to automatic and called Automation Tool’s Crib and gives the fastest time than tools crib approximately 90 secondwith this communication.
