Abstract

PT X merupakan perusahaan yang memproduksi paint bucket (ember cat) yang terdiri dari tiga jenis paint bucket, yaitu bucket polos, lid (tutup bucket) dan bucket berlabel. Persentase bucket polos cacat sebesar 1,95%, persentase lid cacat sebesar 0,65% dan persentase bucket berlabel cacat sebesar 6,28%. Peningkatan kualitas paint bucket dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Six Sigma DMAIC. Pada tahap D (Define) dilakukan pembuatan deskripsi proses produksi, pembuatandiagram SIPOC dan penentuan critical to quality (CTQ). CTQ untuk bucket polos dan lid diperoleh sebanyak dua buah, sedangkan CTQ untuk bucket berlambel sebanyak delapan buah. Pada tahap M (Measure) dilakukan pengukuran performansi sebelum perbaikan berupa rata-rata DPMO.Rata-rata DPMO bucket polos, lid dan bucket berlabel berturut-turut sebesar 7.591,88, 3.420,77 dan 8.109,44. Pada tahap A (Analyze) dilakukan penentuan prioritas perbaikan CTQ dengan membuat diagram Pareto dan mencari penyebab terjadinya cacat pada bucket polos, lid dan bucket berlabel. Berdasarkan diagram Pareto, penelitian fokus memperbaiki 1 jenis cacat pada bucket polos dan lid, yaitu cacat susut dan 5 cacat pada bucket berlabel, yaitu perbedaan tinggi pada pertemuan foil, foil terkelupas, foil hanya menempel sebagian, penempelan tidak menghasilkan pertemuan foil dan bintik putih. Setelah diketahui penyebab terjadinya jenis cacat, dilakukan tahap I (Improve).Tindakan perbaikan yang dilakukan adalah penggunaan infrared thermometer, pembuatan alat bantu, penggunaan microfiber gloves, pembersihan jalur keluar bucket polos, dan lain-lain. Setelahdilakukan perbaikan, dilakukan tahap C (Control). Tindakan perbaikan mengakibatkan terjadinya penurunan nilai rata-rata DPMO pada bucket polos, lid dan bucket berlabel, yaitu berturut-turut sebesar 2.621,54, 1.169, dan 713,69.

Abstract

PT Mangle Panglipur adalah perusahaan yang menerbitkan majalah berbahasa Sunda dimulai21 November 1957. Dalam menerbitkan majalah, dibutuhkan bahan baku yaitu kertas untuk bagiandalam majalah. Dalam memilih supplier yang memasok kertas, perusahaan tersebut menerapkancara yang konvensional. Proses pemilihan supplier yang tidak tepat akan berdampak padapenjualan dari perusahaan karena berhubungan dengan proses produksi dan juga produk yangakan dijual nantinya. Banyak hal yang harus diperhatikan dalam memilih supplier. Dalam prosespengambilan keputusan untuk memilih supplier, harus diperhatikan faktor-faktor (kriteria) yangsatu sama lainnya mungkin saling terkait. Metode Analytic Network Process (ANP) merupakanmetode pengambilan keputusan dengan banyak kriteria yang saling terkait. Permasalahan inidirepresentasikan dalam sebuah sistem dengan ketergantungan (dependence) dan feedback.Keterkaitan yang terdapat pada metode ANP adalah keterkaitan dalam satu set elemen (node comparison)dan keterkaitan terhadap elemen yang berbeda (cluster comparison). Penggunaan metodeANP akan menghasilkan bobot nilai prioritas pada seluruh elemen yang terdapat dalam sistempengambilan keputusan. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan di PT. Mangle Panglipur terdapat 4kriteria pertimbangan yang terdiri dari 12 sub-kriteria, dan 3 alternatif pilihan. Berdasarkan darihasil pengolahan data, alternatif supplier CV Karya Jaya terpilih sebagai alternatif supplier terbaikdengan nilai bobot tertinggi sebesar 0,158 kemudian CV Makmur Jaya dengan 0,145 dan CV SinarJaya sebesar 0,134. Maka dari itu, alternatif supplier Karya Jaya merupakan alternatif supplierterbaik bagi pihak perusahaan.Kata Kunci: Pengambilan Keputusan, Pemilihan Supplier Bahan Baku, Banyak Kriteria, KeterkaitanKriteria, ANP (Analytic Network Process).

Abstract

Kue balok merupakan makanan ringan tradisional yang saat ini menjadi kegemaran bagi masyarakat kota Bandung. Semakin tinggi permintaan konsumen terhadap kue balok, akan mengakibatkan produsen kue balok semakin sering berinteraksi terhadap alat cetak kue balok. Namun ternyata alat cetak kue balok yang digunakan oleh produsen kue balok saat ini merupakan alat cetak kue balok yang belum mempertimbangkan aspek ergonomis ENASE (Efektif, Nyaman, Aman, Sehat, dan Efisien). Beberapa masalah yang dialami oleh produsen kue balok saat menggunakan alat cetak kue balok saat ini, diantaranya: pinggang dan punggung sakit karena terlalu sering membungkuk, panas yang berasal dari arang sebagai bahan bakar alat cetak kue balok langsung memapar tubuh produsen, tidak adanya bahan isolator pada pegangan alat cetak kue balok, dll. Masalah ini akan berisiko terhadap keselamatan para produsen alat cetak kue balok, bila semakin sering berinteraksi dengan alat cetak kue balok saat ini tersebut. Jika semakin sering produsen kue balok berinteraksi, maka akan semakin tinggi pula kemungkinan masalah-masalah tersebut dirasakan oleh produsen. Oleh sebab itu dalam penelitian ini dilakukan perancangan alat cetak kue balok dengan menggunakan metode EFD (Ergonomic Function Deployment). Dalam metode ini perancangan produk dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan aspek-aspek ergonomis ENASE

Abstract

Manufacture industry develops very rapidly, it could be seen from the various technology that is used inthe process of the production. This developments causes the increasing of consumers needs, so the businessmenof manufacture have to be able to increase the quality and quantity of the products that are produced. Oneof the way to increase it that is by using aids of productions which are Jig and Fixture. This paper is talkingabout the design of Welding Fixture which this kind of fixture is always used for welding processes. Theseaids are used for the welding process of front engine mounting cars products of Suzuki Baleno. The design ofwelding fixture is done to decrease the defects of the products caused by the less precise components placementwhen the welding process is underway. Moreover, the design is done to hasten the processes of loading andunloading (setup).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is  to evaluate the effect of shift work on level of fatigue and  performance of railway controller. Seventeen participants are the railway controller of Bandung Station. Fatigue was measured using subjective questionaire Swedish Occupational Fatigue Inventory (SOFI) and performance was measured using Psychomotor Vigilance Task based on reaction time.  Friedman test and Bonferonni-Dunn test were used to process data. Statistical analysis indicates there was significant difference level of fatigue and human performance between shift work. Fatigue occurs at sleepiness, phsysical discomfort and lack of motivation dimensions, while performance occurs at mean 1/RT, fastest 1/RT and slowest 1/RT (P < 0,10). %. The highest fatigue and the worst performance occurs after night shift. After night shift, the level of fatigue increased about 37% to 162%, meanwhile performance were decreased about 3% to 11%. Although there were significant difference of level fatigue, the average scores are below 1 (score 0-7). This result indicates that the fatigue of controllers  are very low.  Although maybe is not really necessary to redesign shift work system, but working hours on each shift still need to be concerned.

Abstract

Spare parts is one of the production support components which plays an important role for the survivalof gas production in the gas processing facility owned by SKN JOB Pertamina Talisman Jambi Merang. Thehigh inventory level increased the high inventory cost for the industry which get the benefit from the efficiencyof processes and resources. This research involved consumable spare parts for Solar Turbine engine as muchas 25 SKUs with demand character patterned lumpy demand and Poisson distribution. The implementationof policies using Periodic Review (R, s, S) with Power Approximation approach in the inventory systemcapable to generate a lower total cost inventory by pressing the backorder volume, the booking volume and theinventory levels in a balanced manner. Calculation of Periodic Review (R, s, S) with Power Approximationapproach resulted inventory parameter which was able to press the total cost of inventory at 8.54% lower andincrease the service level by 1.11%.

Abstract

Computer games, especially First Person Shooter (FPS) have become one of the fastest growing and most economically sucessful software in Indonesia. Given the potential economic benefits of the FPS games, it is important to design its user interface as usable as possible to win the market. In accordance, it is crucial to find out what user interface factors should be considered in designing an FPS game. These factors can be used as a designing guide for game developers in Indonesia. The purpose of this paper is to discover the main user interface factors that should be considered in designing an FPS game especially from usability point of view and to suggest improvement of the user interface in current FPS game.Fourty (40) usabilty attributes from literature review are qualitatively grouped into 5 factors. Those factors are: Basic FPS Feature (BFF), Basic Game Feature (BGF), Display & Sounds (D&S), Help & Hints (H&H), and Enjoyment (E). Usability testing on the factors is conducted in three different groups of players: Novice, Experienced, and Expert. Mann-Withney Test are conducted to understand performance difference for each group. The result shows that BGF and H&H are not significantly difference for all groups. While for BFF, the novice group tend to have different preference rather than other groups since there is not enough time duration given on novice users accessing the FPS feature. For D&S, expert tend to have different preference rather than other groups. Some future research potentials are also proposed in this paper.

Abstract

Seiring dengan bertambah baiknya perekonomian, teknologi, ilmu pengetahuan terutama ilmukedokteran di Indonesia berdampak terhadap meningkatnya harapan hidup (life expectancy) pendudukIndonesia. Hal ini menyebabkan meningkatnya jumlah paruh baya di Indonesia. Studidan penelitian yang telah dilakukan seringkali tentang performansi golongan lanjut usia (elderly)menggunakan alat-alat elektronik yang berteknologi daripada golongan usia paruh baya (middleagedadults).Secara relatif, paruh baya tidak mendapatkan perhatian yang cukup, padahal golongantersebut masih tergabung pada usia produktif dan seringkali berhadapan dengan teknologi dalamaktivitas sehari-harinya. Travelling merupakan salah satu aktivitas yang digemari sebagian besarparuh baya yang seringkali membutuhkan interaksi dengan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmerancang sebuah aplikasi yang dapat menunjang kelancaran aktivitas travelling bagi paruhbaya.Teknik yang digunakan untuk merancang aplikasi travelling bagi paruh baya adalah cooperativeprototyping dimana partisipan terlibat dalam proses pembuatan prototipe. Penelitian ini melibatkandelapan orang partisipan paruh baya dengan hobi travelling dalam tiap tahap desain dimulai dariidentifikasi kebutuhan, pembuatan daftar kebutuhan, persona, dan skenario, dilanjutkan denganproses desain, pengembangan konsep desain terpilih, pembuatan prototipe, dan evaluasi prototipe.Hasil dari proses desain adalah empat buah konsep desain dari kegiatan design workshopdan diperoleh sebuah konsep terpilih yaitu My Agenda. My Agenda adalah rancangan aplikasitravelling yang menjawab identifikasi kebutuhan paruh baya. Prototipe Trip for Us dibuat setelahkonsep My Agenda dikembangkan lebih jauh. Prototipe yang dibuat adalah low-fidelity prototypeyang selanjutnya diuji coba dalam suatu prototype workshop dan dilakukan perbaikan sehinggadidapatkan prototipe final yang dievaluasi kembali dengan partisipan paruh baya. Hasil evaluasimenunjukkan skor System Usability Scale (SUS) sebesar 70 dengan perbaikan pada fitur Memory.Kata kunci: Travelling, Paruh baya, Cooperative Prototyping

Abstract

Lighting is one of the human basic needs that must be fullfiled. Compact fluorescent lamps is the most used lamp as source of lighting. However, they contain mercury, which is classified as heavy metals, that can potentially harm the environment. Even as mercury container, many people didnt know that. Many people dont know the method to handle the broken or used compact fluorescent lamp. They just dispose the broken compact fluorescent lamp to trash without considering the effect of mercury contained.Inverse Manufacturing concept is about designing product life cycle that aims to repair and reuse product components so that the negative impact can be reduced and minimized. In this research, the concept of Inverse Manufacturing is applied on handling the compact fluorescent lamp product in Bandung, West Java. The study is begun with designing the Inverse Manufacturing concept’s model by adding the step of collecting back (two scenarios), sorting, repairing, remanufacturing, and recycling into the life cycle of compact fluorescent lamp. The results of recycling rates of 15 Watt compact fluorescent lamp  (about 234 grams) starts from the lowest value,  and the maximum value are 27,51 % (64,366 grams),  and 27,61 % (64,609 grams). By applying this concept, the result are the reduction on the amount of compact fluorescent lamp waste dumped into the environment and the achievement of  the conservation of natural resources through the reuse of used components.

Abstract

Safety climate is an important component of the responsibility of health services and the safety climate survey provides a measure of the safety climate within the organization and identifies opportunities to improve service. Implementation of safety climate in healthcare has been done in many developing countries or developed countries, assessment of safety climate on healthcare by using questionnaires. Low safety culture has a positive contribution to the errors in health services, unsafe therapy, and a variety of other unexpected accidents (medical errors, unsafe therapies, and unintended injuries). Based on this background, this study aims to evaluate the existing safety climate at the regional general hospital in Yogyakarta province, and to know the general picture of the safety climate condition in the hospital. This study was conducted at the emergency department at the hospital with 3 hospitals in Yogyakarta with 84 respondents consisting of nurses, doctors and midwives working in the unit. The results obtained from this study resulted in a valid and reliable questionnaire for each dimension with validity> 0.3 and reliable over 0.6, and also the validity results from questionnaires on other hospitals resulted in consistency of psychometric questionnaires. In this study also shows the index level of each dimension to the hospital. Overview of each hospital on the safety climate can be illustrated based on the level obtained that RSUD II and RSUD I leadership, communication, and also teamwork already has a pretty good level, while RSUD III 3 dimensions that are at level 1 for the dimension of leadership , personal and communication. The personal dimensions of the three hospitals are at level 1 explaining that personal dimensions are still poor in all three hospitals. And also from result of test of Mann Whitney can be seen that there is no difference of perception between doctor and nurse so that equation of perception toward interest of safety climate same between doctor and nurse at RSUD Yogyakarta
