Abstract

The purpose of this research are: 1) to analyze the reading and writing abilities of class II B students at Mojosongo VI State Elementary School and 2) to determine the factors that influence the reading and writing abilities of class II B students at Mojosongo VI State Elementary School, Surakarta. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. As for data sources, 1) primary data was obtained from interviews and documentation and 2) secondary data was obtained from teacher data and student data for class II B at SD Negeri Mojosongo VI Surakarta. The research subjects were: 1) class II B students, 2) class II B teachers, and 3) parents of class II B students and the research objects were obtained from documentation at SD Negeri Mojosongo VI Surakarta. The data collection techniques used were: 1) interviews, 2) observation, and 3) documentation. The validity of the data used is: 1) source triangulation and 2) technical triangulation. Data analysis, namely: 1) data collection, 2) data reduction, 3) data presentation, and 4) drawing conclusions. Based on the results of interviews and observations, it shows that based on students' reading and writing abilities there are still difficulties, namely 1) difficulties when learning to read, namely: a) difficulty reading certain letters, b) difficulty pronouncing diphthong letter sounds, c) difficulty pronouncing letter sounds double consonants, d) difficulty distinguishing between letters such as the letters "p, q, and x", and e) difficulty reading syllables 2) difficulty when learning to write, namely: a) writing is not neat, b) not being careful when writing, c) difficulty writing when leaving a distance between one letter and another, d) there are scribbles in the writing, e) difficulty when writing example sentences and words from the blackboard, f) difficulty when copying example words and sentences from the blackboard, g) difficulty when imitating examples of words and sentences from the blackboard, h) difficulty when drawing circles, and i) difficulty when drawing circle shapes and 3) factors that influence students' reading and writing abilities, namely: 1) internal factors, namely: a ) interest and b) motivation and 2) external factors, namely: a) family environment and b) school environment. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the school literacy movement program in fostering interest in reading in class IV SD Negeri 1 Sambi Boyolali for the 2022/2023 academic year. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The subjects used in this study were fourth grade students, homeroom teachers and school principals. Sources of data obtained in the form of primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques by observing, interviewing and documentation. The data validation technique was carried out by source triangulation and technique triangulation. Data analysis was carried out by: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that, (1) the school literacy movement program in fostering interest in reading in class IV students of SD Negeri 1 Sambi has been going well in accordance with the GLS theory guidelines. (2) the obstacle to the school literacy movement program in fostering interest in reading in grade IV students is that there are students who sometimes do not want to take the initiative to read for 15 minutes if they are not supervised by the class teacher. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using flash card media on the initial reading ability of class I students at SDN Tugu Jebres No.120 Surakarta in the academic year 2022/2023. This research was conducted at SDN Tugu Jebres No.120 Surakarta. The subjects in this study were class I students, totaling 28 students. The method used is experimental research type one group pretest posttest design. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis by comparing the results of the initial reading ability between the pretest and posttest. Data collection techniques used in this study were tests, observation and documentation. Judging from the hypothesis test with the Paired Sample t-test formula, it is obtained that tcount = 14.165 and ttable with d.b = so = 27 this value can be compared with the ttable value at a significant level of 5%, namely 2.052. So tcount > ttable or 14.165 > 2.052 which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Keywords: Flash Card Media, Initial Reading Ability

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of applying the problem-based learning model on learning outcomes and students’ learning interest in class IV in learning mathematics at SD N Joglo 76 Surakarta in 2023. This quantitative research has a design one group pretest-posttest design. The population were all students in class IV at SD N Joglo 76 Surakarta with a saturated sampling technique, the sample used was 28 students in class IVB. Data collection techniques were through observation, interviews, tests and questionnaires. Based on the test questions, the results of the t-count hypothesis was 12.608 with the value of t-table was d.b = (n-1) the result was (28-1) = 27 at the 5% significance level was 1.703. The normality test results t-count > t-table or 12.608 > 1.703. The average student questionnaire changed from the pretest to the posttest, 28.01 to 31.8. Based on the results of the simple linear regression test the F-count is 36.596 with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. So, it could be concluded that there is an influence in using the problem-based learning model on learning outcomes and students’ reading interest in class IV in learning mathematics at SD N Joglo 76 Surakarta in 2023. Abstract

The purpose of this reseach is to find out whether there is an influence of Indonesian language learning media on grade I students at Joglo Elementary School No. 76 Surakarta in the 2022/2023 academic year. This reseach is a quantitative reseach with a quasi-experimental design. The reseach sample is 27 student in class IA and 26 student in class IB. before being used for reseach instruments, validity tests were requested by experts in their field. Data collection techniques namely tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Based on the result of data analysis the Big Book media has an effect on the writing ability of grade I students at Joglo Elementary School No. 76 Surakarta in Indonesia language subjects. See from the hypothesis test result tcount 4,382 with (df) 51 and a significance level of 0,05, when compared to ttable 1,675 is grater 4,382 > 1,675, therefore Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that the use of Big Book media has an effect on the writing ability of students in grade I at Joglo Elementary School No. 76 Surakarta in ethe 2022/2023 academic yearKeywords: Big Book Media, Writing Ability

Abstract

Learning and tahfidz Al-Qur'an is now becoming a good trend among Muslims today. Methods for memorizing the quran for elementary school children are very diverse, but in reality there are still many methods that are not quite right so that children get bored quickly and tend to get bored easily. Recently, several well-known tahfidz methods have appeared for elementary school children, namely the talaqi, tawazun, tabarak, and Zahrawain methods. Undoubtedly, the main path for the revival of Muslims is to return to the Quran. So it is necessary to have At-Takbir At-Tajdid (early regeneration) to give birth to a golden generation of Muslims who excel in memorizing the Al-Quran. Memorizing the Al-Quran with various methods does not wait for the child to be good at reading the Al-Quran first. Children who do not know hijaiyah letters can use existing methods to memorize elementary school children. This research focuses on the tahfidz learning method for elementary school children. The purpose of this study is to find out the implementation of the talaqi, tawazun, tabarak, and zahrawain methods. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The approach used in research on the implementation of these methods for elementary school children is a phenomenological approach by approaching existing social phenomena. In this study, the comparison of the tahfidz method is the subject. The source of this research is literature reviewed. Researchers act in collecting and analyzing data, this research is more on process than results, there are limits to the problems found in the focus of research, and also data analysis tends to be inductive. Data collection techniques using literature review. In qualitative research, data analysis is carried out during and after data collection. Data is analyzed in the form of words, sentences, narratives that are descriptive in nature. The application of descriptive analysis techniques is carried out in three ways, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal. From the results of the research conducted, it was concluded that the zahrawain method is the most appropriate method for learning the Quran and perfecting the talaqi, tawazun, or tabarak methods. Although there are still several supporting and inhibiting factors.

Abstract

This research aims at describing how prepositions were translated from English to Bahasa Indonesia done by students of English Education Department FKIP UNISRI. There are 20 respondents involved in this research. In this research, first, the researcher analyzed the technique of the translation by comparing the source text and the target text. The second, the researcher analyzed the quality of translation both the accuracy and the acceptability. Some conclusions are drawn from this research; four translation technique are applied namely established equivalence (70%), implicitation (25%), discursive creation (4%) and deletion (1%); Overall, this study demonstrates a high quality of prepositional translation with an average total score of 2.89, namelly 2.88 for accuracy and 2.91 for acceptability.

Abstract

This research aims at describing how request expression found in film entitled The Last Song translated from English to Bahasa Indonesia. There are 27 data gained in this research. In the research first the researcher identified the request expression in the conversation from the film. The request expression then classified based on the types of request expression. In this research some conclusions are drawn from the analysis. There are two types of request expressions; direct request expression with the subtypes namely mood derivable, obligation statement and performative and indirect request expression with the subtypes namely suggestory formulae, query-preparatory and mild hint. It is also concluded that most of the translations of request expressions are accurate only small part of the translations are not accurate.

Abstract

EFFECTIVENESS OF SYMBOLIC MODELLING TO INCREASE THE LEARNING MOTIVATION OF SMP N 4 WONOGIRI. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of modelling symbolic technique to increaselearning motivation of students SMP N 4 Wonogiri. This research was Quasi Experimental Design with Non equivalent Control Group Design consisting of experimental group and control group. Research subjects of each experimental group and control group amounted to 10 students selected using purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used learn motivation questionnaires. Data analysis was used mann whitney with the help of SPSS 20. Based on the results of the analysis it could be concluded that the Mann-Whitney U test result was 5,000 with significance of 0.000. The significance value was 0.000 which was smaller than 0.05, so there are differences in learning motivation between the experimental group and the control group after treatment. Therefore, it could be concluded that learning motivationservice used modelling symbolic technique was effective to improve learning motivation of the students in SMP N 4 Wonogiri. Conclution of this study was to give an example of symbolic techniques effectively to improve learns’ learning motivation senior high student class 1 of state SMP N 4 Wonogiri. Abstract

This article contains a description of the moral values ​​found in Serat Pustakaraja by R.Ng.Ranggawarsita. The theory used is the theory of intrinsic elements in the narrative text of Panuti Sudjiman. The description of moral education is obtained based on an analysis of the intrinsic elements in the form of plot and plot of the Kunthi Choose play which is one of the stories in Serat Pustakaraja. Based on the plot analysis, moral values ​​are described in the form of proverbs or called unen-unen in Javanese. In the next story, these moral values ​​become the implementation of character education.
