Abstract

One of the main challenges in education today is the low motivation to learn among students. Many learners feel less enthusiastic about participating in classroom learning processes. This is partly caused by monotonous learning activities, where the teaching methods used lack variety and innovation. Often, the learning process is still dominated by one-way lecturing methods, causing students to become passive listeners with little opportunity to actively engage in learning. As a result, students feel bored and less challenged to develop their potential and creativity. The aim of this research is to encourage students to be more active in the learning process as well as to build a comfortable learning atmosphere that is supportive and emotionally positive, so that students feel safe and able to express themselves during learning. A comfortable learning environment enables students to maximize their learning potential and improve their learning outcomes as reflected in their academic performance. This research uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design, specifically the One Group Pre-test and Post-test design. The subjects in this study were seventh-grade students at SMPN 1 Bantaran, selected using Simple Random Sampling (CRS) technique. From the randomization, class VII-A was chosen as the sole sample, consisting of 28 students. Learning outcome data were collected through a multiple-choice test consisting of 20 items, which had previously undergone validity, reliability, difficulty level, discrimination power, and distractor effectiveness tests using Anates V4 software. Data analysis techniques included normality test, homogeneity test, and Paired Sample t-test using SPSS version 25 for Windows, to determine whether there was a significant effect of the implementation of the Quantum Teaching model on student learning outcomes. The results showed that there was a significant effect from the Quantum Teaching model. Data analysis using the Paired Sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000, which is below the threshold of 0.05. This finding indicates a significant difference between learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the model. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Quantum Teaching model has a significant effect on improving student learning outcomes, particularly in Social Studies subjects at SMPN 1 Bantaran

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media based on Card Match Circle (CMC) to improve student learning outcomes in Social Sciences (IPS) subjects in class VII MTs Ma'arif Ambulu Jember, especially the material on Social and Cultural Diversity of Society. The background of this study is the low interest in learning and achievement of student learning outcomes that have not met the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM), due to monotonous learning methods and the lack of interesting media. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. The products developed were CMC media with colored cards and interactive spin-based games. The validation results showed that this media was very valid, with a score of 96% from media experts, 80% from material experts, and 86.6% from language experts. The practicality of the media was assessed as very good based on student responses. The effectiveness of the media was shown by an increase in students' pretest and posttest scores, both on a small scale (85% to 92%) and a large scale (80% to 90%). Thus, CMC media is proven to be valid, practical, and effective in improving students' social studies learning outcomes.

Abstract

As technology in education continues to develop, teachers are required to be more creative in designing learning methods. Based on observations at MTs Ma’arif NU Kota Malang, it was found that Social Studies learning—particularly in history material—is often considered boring, with too many reading materials that make students reluctant to read. In response to this issue, the Social Studies teacher at MTs Ma’arif NU Kota Malang implemented game-based learning using Kahoot. The research problem in this study is how the implementation of Kahoot-based media in Social Studies learning at MTs Ma’arif NU Kota Malang is carried out, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors. The approach used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive type, utilizing interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results of the study show that the implementation of Kahoot-based media in Social Studies learning at MTs Ma’arif NU Kota Malang consists of three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The supporting factors in using Kahoot include the availability of facilities and infrastructure, support from the school, the teacher’s skills, and students’ enthusiasm. On the other hand, the inhibiting factors include technical issues, limited time, dense material, and lack of student preparation. Despite these supporting and inhibiting factors, the researcher found that learning media using Kahoot is suitable for classroom application and can serve as an alternative for teachers to diversify learning models.

Abstract

Program bantuan sosial merupakan instrumen kebijakan pemerintah untuk mengurangi kesenjangan sosial dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Namun, efektivitas program ini kerap diperdebatkan, terutama terkait ketidaktepatan sasaran, transparansi, dan politisasi bantuan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi mahasiswa Program Studi Pembangunan Sosial Universitas Mulawarman terhadap program bantuan sosial. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dengan skala Likert dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan ANOVA (analysis of variance). Hasil analisis ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap aspek-aspek tersebut berdasarkan semester yang mereka tempuh. Berdasarkan analisis menggunakan statistika deskriptif di dapatkan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki pemahaman yang cukup baik terhadap program bantuan sosial, namun skeptis terhadap transparansi dan akuntabilitas implementasinya. Politisasi bantuan sosial juga menjadi perhatian utama, di mana mahasiswa menilai bahwa bantuan sering dimanfaatkan untuk kepentingan politik. Meskipun demikian, mayoritas responden berharap agar program bantuan sosial lebih berfokus pada pemberdayaan masyarakat dan keberlanjutan jangka panjang. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tentang bagaimana generasi muda, khususnya mahasiswa pembangunan sosial, menilai kebijakan sosial pemerintah. Rekomendasi yang diberikan mencakup peningkatan transparansi, akurasi data penerima, serta upaya untuk mencegah politisasi bantuan sosial guna mencapai tujuan kesejahteraan yang lebih adil dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dan sosial budaya yang terkandung dalam prosesi adat Posuo pada remaja putri Suku Buton. Tradisi Posuo merupakan upacara adat yang menandai masa peralihan dari remaja menuju kedewasaan dan berfungsi sebagai sarana pembentukan moral serta etika bagi perempuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam dengan Bhisa (pemimpin ritual), tokoh adat, serta peserta Posuo, dan dilengkapi dengan dokumentasi kegiatan. Analisis data dilakukan secara interaktif melalui tahapan reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Posuo mengandung lima nilai utama, yaitu nilai moral, spiritual, sosial, gender, dan edukatif. Nilai moral tercermin dalam ajaran kesucian diri dan tanggung jawab, nilai spiritual diwujudkan melalui doa dan dzikir, sedangkan nilai sosial terlihat dari solidaritas masyarakat selama prosesi berlangsung. Perempuan ditempatkan sebagai simbol kesucian dan kehormatan keluarga, sehingga mempertegas peran sosialnya dalam budaya Buton. Tradisi ini membuktikan bahwa kearifan lokal memiliki kontribusi besar dalam pembentukan karakter generasi muda. Penerapan nilai-nilai Posuo dapat menjadi inspirasi dalam pengembangan pendidikan karakter berbasis budaya di sekolah-sekolah Indonesia.
