Abstract

ABSTRACT Many people ascription that rural area of its environment of cleanness and free from pollution, opinion like that not yet of course can be made by reference for interpreting about situation of environment of rural. This matter earn us see from more and more him consumer of motor vehicle and industrial factories able to generate problems which serious enough so that can bother flora productivity residing in around factory area. This research aim to to know types of lichenes ( crust moss) got in Nagari Batang Barus District Of Gunung Talang Sub Province of Solok. This Research type is descriptive research by using method of survey. Gathering of sampel and Record Keeping of type of lichenes ( crust moss) conducted by direct field. Result of obtained research in Jorong Kayu Jao Kenagarian Batang Barus District Of Gunung Talang Sub Province of Solok in finding 32 crust moss species namely 11 species with morphology type of foliose, 8  species  with  morphology type of  fruticosa,  13  species  with  morphology type  of crustuse. Of conducted research hence concluded that air around plantation of tea of PTP Nusantara VI Danau Kembar and of Jorong Kayu Jao Kenagarian Batang Barus District Of Gunung Talang Sub Province of Solok still cleanness, because of to the number of types of lichenes ( crust moss) found.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study to generate worksheets include material mind map on the respiratory system are valid and practical. This research is a development reseach, using a 4- D model of development. The model consists of four stages, are define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate, but this study is limited to the stage of develop. Tests conducted to 29 students of class XI SMA PGRI IPA4 1 Padang. The results obtained inform the validation value by88% with very valid category, while the value of 88% and the practicalities of studentteachers practicalities of 96%, which indicates a very practical category. LKS equipped biology mind map on the respiratory system of the material generated to obtain valid results and practical, it can be used as teaching materials in the learning process at school.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe use of herbicides had the adverse impact on non-target organisms being one of the soil biota such as earthworms. One of the herbicide is glyphosate isopropylamine. The aimed of this study to know the influence of Isopropylamine Glyphosate Herbicides to fecundity and viability Earthworm Cocoon (Pontoscolex corethrurus Fr. Mull.). This study was conducted in July-August, 2013, held at the Zoology Laboratory of the Biology Department, Padang State University. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatment, 5 replicates. The treatment were herbicide glyphosate isopropylamine of 0% (A), 0.1% (B), 0.2% (C), 0.3% (D) and 0.4% (E) mixed media. Parameters in this study is the fecundity and viability of earthworm cocoons Pontoscolex corethrurus. The results showed. the average number of cocoons on providing the highest herbicide isopropylamine glyphosate on A (40) and followed by B and C are 14.6 cocoon, D (14.2) and the lowest in the herbicide glyphosate isopropylamine E are 0 cocoon. While the average percentage hatchability earthworm cocoons Pontoscolex corethrurus on providing the highest herbicide glyphosate isopropylamine A, B and C was 100% and the lowest concentrations of D and E are 0%. It can be concluded that the herbicide glyphosate isopropylamine can decrease fecundity cocoon, but had no effect on the viability of cocoons. Based on it, the civil must, to reduce the use of chemical herbicides cause poor soil.

Abstract

The less student understandingof the materialpresented by the teacherresulted inlow yieldsbiological spending the36eighth grade students ofSMPNPadangAcademic Year2012/2013. Still below the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) is 70. One alternative to overcome this problem is the application of active learning statemant type true or false. This study aims to improve the results of biological studies at the Junior High School eighth grade students in the Academic Year 36 Padang 2012/2013.This type of research is experimental research. The population in this study were 36 eighth grade students of SMPN Padang Academic Year 2012/2013 consisting of 3 classes. Sampling using purposive sampling, in order to obtain samples of the 2-class class VIII.3 as VIII.1 as experimental and control classes.The instrument usedwas atestof student learning out comesandthe averagevalues obtainedexperimental class70,95 andclasscontrol 59,62. Techniques of data analysis is the average similarity by testing  t-test at the 0.05 significance level. The results of the data analysis obtained while the price t 2.89 1.70 t table. This means t count> t table, so the hypothesis is accepted. From this study it can be concluded that the application of learning strategies statement true or false can improve learning outcomes biology class VIII SMPN 36 Padang academic year 2012/2013.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe low student learning outcomes due to the lack of biological activity of students , lack of facilities and infrastructure in schools and students in understanding the difficulty of the material being studied . One way to improve student learning outcomes by applying active methods type Guided Note Taking . This study aimed to determine the effect of the application of active methods type Guided Note Taking on learning outcomes biology class VII SMPN 3 South Solok the academic year 2012/2013.This type of research is experimental research . The population in this study were students of class VII SMPN 3 South Solok the academic year 2012/2013 which consists of 4 classes . Sampling was purposive sampling techniques , in order to obtain samples of the class 2 class VII.B as the experimental class and the control class VII.D class . From the results of experimental studies it appears that the class average value of 73.13 while the control class had an average score of 56.48 .the result of hypothesis test obtained ttable the level of confidence 95%= (α=0,05) is 1,67 and tacount =7,43 it meant tacount>ttable therefore, the hypothesis in this  search is received . It can be concluded that the type of active learning methods Guided Note Taking biology to improve learning outcomes of students of class VII SMPN 3 South Solok the academic year 2012/2013 .

Abstract

ABSTRACT Sonneratia caseolaris is one mangrove plant species belonging to family Sonneratiaceae. Sonneratia caseolaris has three morphological variations are dwarf, semi-dwarf and normal. In connection with such variation has been studied to determine the anatomical structure of the vegetative organs pedada red (Sonneratia caseolaris (L.) Engler) in Mangrove Forests Kenagarian Mangguang Pariaman city. This study was conducted in January-February 2013 by using the descriptive method of making permanent preparations. Based on the results, the differences in the complexity of the tissues of the three variations Sonneratia caseolaris. At the root Sonneratia caseolaris dwarf and normal tissue there is a sklereid amplifier, whereas the semi-dwarf Sonneratia caseolaris reinforcements in the form of fiber tissues. In the third variation stems from Sonneratia caseolaris there is no difference but the similarity of the complexity of their tissues  covering cuticula thin epidermis, cortex, vascular tissue and pith while the third variation on the leaves of Sonneratia caseolaris difference is the semi-dwarf and normal Sonneratia caseolaris there is substance ergastict in the form of crystalline type drush , while the dwarf Sonneratia caseolaris not found. Another difference is in the normal Sonneratia caseolaris  the epidermis consists of 2 layers, on Sonneratia caseolaris dwarf and semi-dwarf only 1 layer and the normal Sonneratia caseolaris  palisade tissue consists of  2 layers while Sonneratia caseolaris dwarf and semi-dwarf 3 layers.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The main factors which can determine preserves success fishes out is  store feeding in quantity, quality and the right time. Artificial feeding is one of production cost which largish effort preserve fishes out. One of effort to decrease feeding cost is by using artificial feeding it self. The alternative cheap feeding but it has nutrient content that suitable with fish’s needs. One of fish meals by using waste food that can use as a feeding is tofu waste. Tofu waste is waste of tofu makings that can use as raw material of feeding fish. Raw material of feeding fish is easy to find it. We can find it in tofu company with the price cheap relative. To increase fish meals material quality from tofu waste this was done fermentations by use EM4  (Effective Microorganisme 4). The purpose of the research is to know the effect of feeding tofu waste was done fermentations by using EM4 to growth Cyprinus carpio L. The experimental design that is Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatment and 6 repetitions. By treatment: A (control), B (by giving tofu waste was done fermentation 10%), C (by giving tofu waste was done fermentation 16%), and D (by giving tofu waste was done fermentation 24%). Based on the research result we can conclude that tofu waste was done fermentation can increase growth Cyprinus carpio L. By giving tofu waste was done fermentation 16% with commercial feeding can get same growth if we compare with tofu waste was done fermentations 10% and 24%.

Abstract

ABSTRAK The limited number and kind of learning material in the school will disturb learning process. For that, we must develope learning material. Based on the problem, we do the research to get the result like drawing handout and mind map in Plantae Kingdom material that valid and practice for students in class X Senior High School of  even semester 2006 curriculum. This research is developing research with procedural model to result a product. This product developed  by three stage from Four-D model, that is; define, design and develop stages. The subjects of this research are five validators, two teachers and twenty students in XI-IA1  from SMAN 2 Lengayang. The data is primary data analyzed descriptively. The result is shows handout with mind map in Plantae Kingdom topic for students in class X of Senior High School even semester 2006 curriculum. Handout is categorized valid by validator with 85,58% value and it categorized to very practice by teachers with 93,47%, practice by students with 86,95%. It can be concludec that handout suplement on the picture with mind map in Plantae Kingdom topic for students in X class of Senior High School even semeser 2006 curriculum is valid and very practice.

Abstract

ABSTRACTLemongrass is one of the favorite plants in Indonesia, which is often used by humans for cooking ingredients in addition to the lemon grass is also often used as ingredients of medicines . But the lemongrass plant has never been used as a vegetable fruit fly attractant material when compounds contained in the lemongrass was able to lure pests tanaman one methyl eugenol which is preferable by one insect Bactrocera dorsalis Hend . Based on the problems it has done research on the effect of lemongrass extract ( Andropogon nardus L. ) Fruit Fly Control Against Bactrocera dorsalis Hend . This research was conducted in the Laboratory of Zoology STKIP PGRI Padang West Sumatra in July-August , 2013, this study used a completely randomized design ( CRD ) with 4 treatments and 6 replicates of each concentration was 1 ml , 2 ml , 3 ml , 4 ml . From the research that has been carried out showed that the extract of lemongrass attractant effect on fruit fly Bactrocera dorsalis . On the activity of the flies the fastest time to reach the fruit fly extracts is on IV treatment while the longest time in treatment I. Analysis of variance results showed that there is a difference in treatment between the F count > F table which means treatment significantly affect fruit fly attractant Bactrocera dorsalis Hend.

Abstract

ABSTRACTCylas formicarius is pest that damage of sweet potato plants. These pest damage part of tuber, stem and leaf. The form attack toward tuber of sweet potato, cause the tuber yet hollow, on leaf will cause leaf hollow, and the stem will look damage and easily wilt. Relative to the problem, than has done research with the title pest density Boleng population (Cylas formicarius) (Coleoptera: Curculiodae) on the sweet potato plants in Taluak Dalam at Kanagarian Alahan Panjang Kecamatan Lembah Gumanti Kabupaten Solok. Using census sampling method in a way to make the square from measuring 1m x 1m. The result showed that the difference between stadia larva with stadia imago. The number of individuals on stadia larva is 256 tail/m² with andaverage 10,24/m², and then the number of individuals on stadia imago 177 tail/m² with and average 7,08/m². This can be regarded as pests because it resulted in decreased quality and production of sweet potato plants.
