Abstract

Museum as heritage tourism has its own unique selling point. The success of the museum in some western countries has triggered museum development in developing countries including Indonesia. However, the number of visitors to the museum in Yogyakarta (Central Java) is not as high as other popular tourist attractions in the city. The previous study found some reasons underlying this condition which are lack of promotion, lack of infrastructure facilities and lack of human resources quality. This paper is aimed to find out the challenge of museum brand enhancement with the use of social media as it has a great role in promotion. Social Media strategy is investigated in MuseumSonobudoyo, Museum Pendidikan Indonesia UNY and Museum Gumuk PasirYogyakarta with a qualitative descriptive approach. The result of the study found that the use of social media in the museum is not maximum because there is no person in charge of social media development, limited supporting tools and lack of political support

Abstract

This study focuses on analyzing the effects of product quality, price and quality of information on customers loyalty with customers satisfaction as a mediator variable toward the tourist destinations of Wendit Tourism Park. All tourism Diploma Program students aged 15-34 years were the population in this study which 75 respondents were taken as a sample. The results revealed the quality of the product had no effect directly the satisfaction of the customers of Wendit tourism, while the price affected directly the satisfaction of the customers of Wendit tourism, the quality of service directly affected the satisfaction of the customers of Wendit tourism, the quality of the product directly affected the loyalty of Wendit tourism customers, the price had no effect Wendit tourism customer loyalty directly, the quality of service had no affect the loyalty of Wendit tourism customers directly and product quality indirectly affected the loyalty of Wendit tourism customers through customer satisfaction

Abstract

Maria Tritis Cave is a holy place that has its uniqueness, a natural cave and has the beauty of stalagmites and stalagmites in it. This cave is located in the southern way, which is the way to get to some of the beaches in Gunungkidul. Besides being a beautiful cave, Maria Tritis Cave also has various supporting facilities for holy tours. Easy location and complete facilities will enhance the tourist’ decision to visit. The sampling technique was done by an accidental sampling of 100 archipelago tourists visiting tourists attraction of Maria Tritis Cave Gunungkidul. Methods of data collection use documentation and questionnaires, data analysis with instrument tests (validity and reliability tests), and partial or simultaneous our multiple regression analysis using SPPS for Windows version 16. The results showed that the location and facility variables significantly influence tourist’ visiting decision. Location and facility variables influence jointly the decision of archipelago tourists in visiting Maria Tritis Cave Gunungkidul. Suggestions from the research, the managers should pay attention to matters that are relating to the location such as the access to the cave and the clear directions from/to the cave, add facilities that support outbound activities and maintain existing facilities

Abstract

This study aims to look at the trends of the OYO Hotel in Yogyakarta. This research is qualitative research with a case study research design. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and literature review. Whereas data analysis uses an interactive analysis model. The results showed that the trend of OYO hotels is increasingly developing in Yogyakarta in line with the trend of travelling with a minimal budget. factors affecting tourists in choosing OYO are: cheap room rates, the number of room promotions, quality and service according to standards, adequate facilities, ease of application-based reservations, and payment can be done at the hotel

Abstract

This study intends to obtain comprehensive information about Homestay facilities readiness within the Smart Tourism development framework in Tanjung Lesung Pandeglang, Banten. This study uses a qualitative research design with a phenomenographic approach. Data collection was carried out by interviewing existing stakeholders, observing homestays in the study area and studying documents related to the Homestay program and tourism digitizing. The results of the study show that 1) The homestay program within smart tourism framework in Tanjung Lesung is based on driving the economy and welfare of the host community; 2) Implementation of the homestay facilities development within smart tourism framework in Tanjung Lesung is carried out in four stages: conversion, renovation, revitalization, and new development; 3) The application of smart tourism in Tanjung Lesung is done with information technology through marketing programs such as online market places; Pokdarwis and 10 pilot tourism villages in the Indonesia Tourism Exchange Program (ITX)

Abstract

Community-based ecotourism development is an opportunity to develop tourism attractions that are almost unknown to tourists in general and will reduce the social-cultural impact for the community. The potential of the Klegung river that forms the river flow and the natural wealth of its riverside ecosystem makes the community take the initiative to open tourism destinations to provide benefits both economically and for the sustainability of existing water resources. The research that has been conducted using a qualitative descriptive method aims to analyze the potential of human resources, culture, flora and fauna, and attractions in accordance with the characteristics of Padukuhan Klegung. Abstract

The research aims to determine the socio-economic conditions of the community in Sambirejo village before existing of tourism activities and after. The research is a qualitative study used to describe a situation or phenomenon. The method of collecting data uses observation and interviews with tourism actors directly involved in tourism activities on Tebing Breksi and are affected economically and socially. The result showed that the existence of Tebing Breksi had a positive effect on the socio-economic changes for the community of Sambirejo village. The economic impact is the creation of job and business opportunities, increased community income, CBT based management and accelerated infrastructure development. Social impact is the emergence of new livelihood structures in tourism and gives positive value transformation

Abstract

Customers are important people in business organizations, do not depend on the company, not people for debate, so that customer desires are the company's duty to be realized. The study purpose is to explain customer satisfaction value as an impact of implementing customer value. The verification method is used to explain the effect of customer value on customer satisfaction with regression analysis. The results explain that Saung Angklung Udjo performance art is a traditional art performance producing beautiful tones, can foster audience enjoyment and satisfaction, the impact of the growing value of performing arts, service, personal, image and cost value. The growth in visitor value has an impact on the growth of visitor satisfaction so as to foster knowledge, a sense of pleasure and the return of fresh feeling to people who experience boredom from their daily routines. This is an important aspect in society that can be used as a reference in the process of interaction as well as a pattern of behaviour and group thought patterns that are mutually recognized in travelling

Abstract

To improve Indonesian tourism, The Indonesian Government have launched the New Bali program where Lake Toba with the support of Samosir Island be prioritized to become New Bali. However, there have been some issues that happen, the problem is about the Human Resource problem where the behaviour of people in Samosir Island show that they are still not ready to change into New Bali. There are some factors that influence readiness for change, where one of them is self-efficacy. To find out the truth of whether or not there is a relationship between the two variables, based on data from 383 people of Samosir Island and using descriptive quantitative methods, this study aims to see if there is a relationship and how much contribution between self-efficacy to readiness for change in people of Samosir Island. The data obtained using the scale will be tested using Pearson Product Moment Correlation through the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 22 to test the hypothesis that the results of the study showed that hypothesis is accepted it means that there is a positive relationship between self-efficacy and readiness for change

Abstract

At present, the accommodation services business has become a service industry and is a labour-intensive business means Human Resources support becomes the mainstay of business success. Improved customer service requires a more professional Human Resource capability. As a standard measure that professionals in the field of tourism including hospitality staff and restaurants is possessed a certificate of competence recognized by the National Agency for Professional Certification. In Bantul Regency this accommodation business is growing very rapidly following the development of tourism. The number of existing hotels and inns has reached 95 units for the class with the number of medium rooms, but if recorded all including lodging in the location of objects that only have one room, the number reaches 261 pieces and may continue to grow in the future With the emergence of objects of new attractions. Bantul regency government tries to formulate its development strategy by conducting a study of the identification of human resource competency requirement for the hotel industry in order to give space for the growth and development of the hospitality industry in Bantul regency in the future. This study was conducted by taking 30 samples from the workforce and the guest response from the type of accommodation in the form of hotels totalling 5 pieces, the only business mentioning the lodgings amounted to 8 pieces, in 9 pieces, cabin 6 pieces and each 1 fruit is Inn and Guest House. The data collected by questionnaire and documentation is then processed using Spencer & spencer competency analysis, especially non-technical competency or soft competency to determine the level of incompetent to very competent while also ranking the competency level required in the hotel industry. From the research results obtained data real needs of hotel industry competence which then rearranged and selected based on priority scale likert between 1-4. By using competency guideline in Indonesia from work competency standard especially hotel and restaurant area mapped to get the requirement of human resource competence for the Hotel Industry in Bantul Regency.
