Abstract

This article deals two main points, the interpretation and mission of education, and the equality of educational quality as the main agenda of education in the contemporary discourse. This article is expository and argumentative in nature aiming at describing the real issue. Hence, an accurate investigation is needed to get conclusive findings.

Abstract

Abstrak:Tulisan ini mencoba memaparkan dan mengenalkan praktek meditasi sufi ke da­lam dunia pendidikan. Secara khusus meditasi yang dikenalkan di sini adalah me­ditasi yang dipraktikkan dalam Tarekat Qadiriah Hanafiyah dan diyakini se­bagai salah satu metode menuju penyembuhan fisik, mental dan spiritual, per­lin­du­ngan diri dari segala bahaya, dan pencerahan hati. Meditasi dalam dunia pen­di­dikan kita masih merupakan sesuatu yang asing, tidak dikenal. Ini berbeda mi­salnya dengan negara-negara maju semisal Amerika Serikat dan Eropa yang su­dah memasukkan program meditasi ini ke dalam kurikulum mereka.Abstract:This paper attempts to describe and introduce the practice of sufistic meditation into the formal education. In particular, the meditation introduced here is the me­di­ta­ti­on practiced in the Qadiriyah Hanafiah method, believed to be one of the methods toward physical, mental, and spiritual healing, self-protection from all dangers, and hearth enlightenment. Meditation in edu­ca­ti­on field is still unfa­mi­liar or unknown. This is different from the education in the de­ve­loped countries such as United States and Europe that have incorporated this me­di­tation program into their educational curriculum.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the theoretical concept, classification, and the imple-mentation of homeschooling in Indonesia. The discussion of homeschooling was in the perspective of child development. The conclusion based on the theoretical concept describes that it was an educational form which was done independently by family, and the learning materials were choosen in accordance with the chil-dren need. The homeschooling classification forms was divided into two forms namely single home schooling which was conducted independently by parents in one family withought collaborating with aothers.Compound homeschooling was conducted by two or more families for certain activities, but the main activities re-main to be implemented by the respective parents. Homeschooling was an educa-tion for the children who performed at home and was specifically provided by a parent or a professional tutor. Homeschooling in practice was to move the school from the public area to a more private area, which was home.

Abstract

Abstrak:Pembelajaran yang berlandaskan pada mutual respek, baik dari guru kepada siswa, juga siswa kepada guru maupun antara siswa dengan siswa sendiri, akan meningkatkan loyalitas, tanggung jawab, dan solidaritas yang tinggi sehingga menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang humanis, saling menghormati, dan menghargai satu sama lain. Artikel ini membahas secara kritis pengembangan respect education melalui pendidikan humanis religius. Pendidikan humanis religius menekankan sikap respek pada siswa, memahami, dan menghargai siswa apa adanya, mengenal siswa sebagai individu yang perlu diberikan keleluasaan untuk aktualisasi berbagai potensi kemanusiaannya.Abstract:Learning based on mutual respect from teachers to students, students to teachers, and between students and students themselves will increase high loyalty, responsibility and solidarity so as to create a humane learning atmosphere, mutual respect and respect for each other. This article discusses critically the development of respect education through religious and humanistic education. Religious and humanistic education emphasizes the attitude to respect students, understand and appreciate students as they are, recognize students as individuals who need to be given the freedom to actualize their human potentials.

Abstract

Evaluation in the world education constitutes an absolute activity, because, evaluation of the development students learning achievement, evaluation subject can be read. Besides that, through evaluation-teacher, lecturer, and manager who involve in a educational institution can know how far and big are the development and growth of teaching program that held in order to achieve the goal which is formulated. The evaluation can be done by using test technique and non test one.non test technique is very various, but this writing only explains two kinds namely; interview and questionnaire.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pendidikan dan masyarakat tidak dapat dipisahkan. Pendidikan berlangsung da-lam masyarakat, dan eksistensi dan kualitas hidup masyarakat ditentukan oleh tingkat pendidikan yang dialaminya. Sebagai institusi sosial, pendidikan tumbuh dan berkembang dalam masyarakat tanpa mengenal tingkat kebudayaan, apakah masyarakat bersahaja atau masyarakat modern. Seiring dengan perkembangan masyarakat, mucul pula kebutuhan-kebutuhan terhadap lembaga-lembaga/ins-titusi sosial merupakan kumpulan norma yang berkisar pada suatu kebutuhan pokok dalam kehidupan masyarakat, termasuk pendidikan. Dengan demikian, lahirlah lembaga pendidikan sebagai institusi sosial, mulai taman kanak-kanak, SD, SLTP, SLTA, dan pendidikan tinggi.Abstract: Education and society cannot be separated; education takes place in society while the existence and the quality of society’s life were determined by the level of education experienced. As a social institution, education grows and develops in society without knowing the level of culture, whether in traditional or modern society. Along with the development of society, raise also a demand to agencies and social institutions, a set of norms that revolve around a basic need in people's lives, including education. Thus, educational institutions are born as social institutions, from kindergarten, elementary, junior high, high school, and higher education.

Abstract

This study aims at describing the influence of Quan-tum learning combined with Mind Map towards the outcome of Islamic education. This study is queasy-experiment with pretest-posttest design, learning outcome by written test, and questionnaire. The data are analyzed by inferential statistic: covariate and per-centage. The result shows that (1) there is no interactional influence between teaching model and pretest. (2) There is a significant influence of Quantum Learning method combined with Mind Map towards the achievement of Islamic Education. (3) Students have positive perception of the Quantum Learning combined with Mind Map in teaching Islamic Education, as it develops conducive learning condition.

Abstract

Abstract: Self-regulated learning is very important for university students to adapt with their academic demand and it is very critical in the lifelong learning process that allow them to face later real life challenges. It refers to their active role in taking responsibility with their learning or their active activities in directing themselves in learning and regulating many areas such as their cognitive, behavior, context, and motivation in order to achieve their learning goals. Self-Regulated learning is based on social cognitive theory and factor affecting it which is explained in the reciprocal triadic between individual, behavior, and environment. Besides, the positive influences of self-regulated learning on students learning have been supported by many empirical evidences.Abstrak: Belajar berdasar regulasi diri sangat penting bagi mahasiswa untuk dapat beradaptasi dengan tuntutan akademik dan sangat penting dalam proses pembelajaran seumur hidup untuk beradaptasi dengan tantangan hidup di masa depan. Belajar berdasar regulasi diri mengacu kepada peran aktif mereka dalam mengambil tanggung jawab dalam belajar atau kegiatan aktif dalam menga­rah­kan diri dalam belajar dengan meregulasi berbagai area seperti kognitif, perilaku, konteks, dan motivasi untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajarannya. Belajar berdasar regulsi diri didasarkan pada teori sosial kognitif dan faktor yang berngaruh dijelaskan dengan hubungan triadik resiprokal antara individu, perilaku, dan lingkungan. Selain itu, pengaruh positif belajar berdasar regulasi diri terhadap pembelajaran telah didukung oleh bukti empiris.

Abstract

Education keeps on changing. This change is an implication of the change of all aspects of life in the society. Like wise, education in Indonesia must change along the changes of life in the so-ciety. This study describes social-cultural and economic change which took place due to political instability. It also analyses the impact of such change to education.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to find out why the transformational headmaster can instill islamic school culture, the role of transformational leadership and the success of transformational leadership role in instilling islamic shool culture in province of Jambi. The approach used in this study is a qualitative descriptive ap-proach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documenta-tion. Analysis of the data using the model of Miles and Huberman. Research re-sult; Principals have a muslim personality as Prophet, know the needs of his staff, build his staff confidence, building a shared commitment to make the shift to-wards change for the better, creative, productive and innovative, exemplary and courage to face challenges, sensitive to complaints and suggestions of staff, deli-beration and spirit of motivation. Principal transformational leadership roles are as Direction Setter, Agent of Change, Spokesperson, Coach, support-getter, suc-ces-guarantor and path-finder.
