Abstract

Abstract: Education is a main factor in shaping the good of the human person. Education is gained not only in schools but all factors can be used as a source of education. Especially the environment that plays a role or influence on student learning outcomes. With the development of the times, technology is growing rapidly. The world of education today has also begun to integrate technology in various aspects including in learning. Education policy is directed to the use of technology so as to prepare human resources capable of facing global challenges. The purpose of this research is to knowing the effect of utilization of information technology on student learning outcomes in Economics lesson SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru. The population in this study were students of class X IIS SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru as many as 156 people, and who became the sample are 61 people. Data measurement using questionnaire. Analysis of data used is simple linier regression. The result of the research based on simple linear regression showed that the utilization of information technology had an effect on the student learning outcomes of class X IIS SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru. This can be seen from constanta value (a) of 70,833 and regression coefficient (b) 0,269 with regression equation 70,833 + 0,269 . Seen from the calculation of R2 (R Square Change) obtained a value of 0,504. This is means that the contribution of the use of information technology to student learning outcomes of 50.4%Keywords: Utilization of Information Technology, Student Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research is to find out if there is any significant correlation between the second year students’ foreign language anxiety of English Study Program of Universitas Riau and their speaking ability. This is a correlational research with two variables. In conducting this research, 40 students were selected to be the sample using convenience sampling technique. The instrument used to collect the data was a questionnaire adapted from the FLCAS (Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale designed by Horwitz et al, 1986). There were two kinds of data used in this study i.e. primary data which are the students’ questionnaire responses and secondary data which are their speaking III scores taken from the third semester of 2016/2017 academic year. The calculation of the students’ questionnaire responses resulted in a mean of 3,14, indicating a moderate level of anxiety. The correlation between the students’ foreign language anxiety and their speaking ability were measured using Pearson Product Moment method using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) version 23. The data analysis shows that the correlation coefficient value is -.339 and the correlation is significant at the 0.05 level (2-tailed) which means that there is a significant, low negative correlation between students’ foreign language anxiety and their speaking ability. This shows that a student’s speaking ability which is indicated by his/her speaking score tends to decrease as the increase of his/her anxiety level.Key Words: Correlation, Foreign Language Anxiety, Speaking Ability

Abstract

Abstract: This research is background by the low value of students' repetition on the subjects of class X history SMAN 12 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted in class X IPS 1. Based on these problems, then the formulation of the problem in this study is how to use the method PAIKEM Broken Triangle-Square-Heart model to improve student learning outcomes of grade X SMAN 12 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research is to know the activity of teachers and students in the implementation of learning process by using PAIKEM model of Broken Triangle-Square-Heart model and to know the influence of Broken Triangle-Square-Heart learning model to student learning result of class X IPS 1 SMAN 12 Pekanbaru on the subject of history. This research was conducted with two cycles by analyzing quantitative data and qualitative data. Quantitative data is obtained from the assessment of learning outcomes through written test of multiple choice and description. While the qualitative data obtained from the observation sheet of student learning activities and teacher teaching activities in the use of PAIKEM model Broken Triangle-Square-Heart. In the first cycle of student learning achievement class X IPS 1 achieve classical mastery of 81.57%. And increased in cycle II by reaching 89.47% classical kentuntasan. Based on the results of this study can be concluded that the use of broken triangle-square-heart model paikem method can improve student learning outcomes of grade X SMAN 12 Pekanbaru on the subjects of history.Keywords: PAIKEM Method, Broken Triangle-Square-Heart Model, Learning Outcome

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a study about the ability on reading comprehension in Narrative text of the first year students of MAN Mandah Indragiri Hilir. This research aimed to know and describe the ability on reading comprehension in Narrative text of the first year students of MAN Mandah Indragiri Hilir. This research was quantitative descriptive. The data of this research was the results of the reading comprehension in narrative text test of the first year students of MAN Mandah Indragiri Hilir. The form of the instrument in this research was multiple choices which have five possible answers that related with the ability on reading comprehension in Narrative text of the first year students of MAN Mandah Indragiri Hilir. The data collecting technique was taken by test technique. The population in this research was 97 students while the sample was 71. The data was analyzed by quantitative descriptive thought Kruskall Wallis test. The validity was gotten by the data validation. The result of this research was sighted from the result of reading comprehension test of the first year students of MAN Mandah Indragiri Hilir. Based on the ability on reading comprehension in Narrative text of the first year students of MAN Mandah Indragiri Hilir was in very low category with the average score 40.81.Key words: Ability, Reading Comprehension, Narrative Text.

Abstract

ABSTRACK : This Researchis a correlation study. This research was conducted at the SMAN 6 Pekanbaru men basketball team. Data were obtained and collected by the independent variable tests (explosive power arm shoulder muscles) and test the dependent variable (shooting under ring capability). The data obtained were analyzed using product moment correlation analysis.Explosive relationship Sleeve Shoulder Muscle Power Shooting Capability under Ring with the SMAN 6 Men's Basketball Team Pekanbaru. Problem identification results showed that men's basketball player SMAN 6 Pekanbaru yet under the ring shooting ability not Maximum. It initials due to the lack of the factors associated with the development of these techniques. By therefore then with lifted Research carried problem "Does the Relations explosive power arm shoulder muscles with shooting capability under the ring at SMAN 6 men's basketball team Pekanbaru?" The proposed research hypotheses on Research husband is "There are Relationship explosive power arm shoulder muscles with shooting capabilities under men's rings on basketball team SMAN 6 Pekanbaru." This study aims to determine the relationship label explosive power arm shoulder muscles with shooting capability under the ring on men's basketball team SMAN 6 Pekanbaru.Results of the analysis showed that there is a relationship explosive power arm shoulder muscles with shooting under ring capabilities at the SMAN 6 Pekanbaru men basketball team. Based on product moment correlation analysis produced a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.5686, which means there is a correlation between the independent variable and dependent variables and the t test result of tcount 2.4883 and ttable 1,771. Means tcount > ttable so it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted and shows that a significant relationship between the two variables.Keywords: Explosive power arm shoulder muscles, Shooting under ring capability

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to find out the ability of the second year students of MAN 1 Pekanbaru in comprehending Narrative texts. The number of population was 352 students divided into eleven classes. The writer used cluster random sampling technique to determine the sample. The samples were 68 students. The needed data were taken from the students’ score in comprehending narrative texts. The test comprehends five narrative texts of which all text has eight items or 40 items all together. The time allocation was 90 minutes. The result of the study revealed that the mean score was 77.5 which indicated that the students were in good level of ability. The highest mean score (87.20) was in finding references. The lowest mean score (61.76) was in finding the meaning of vocabulary.Keywords: Students’ ability, Reading Comprehension, Narrative Texts

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of the study is to identify the correlation between the students attitude toward physics learning and student’s achievement class XI science of MAN Taluk Kuantan at 2015/2016 academic year. There wear 78 students participated as respondence in this research. The instruments of this study was questioner of students attitude toward physics learning. The study found that there are a positive and significant correlation between the students attitude toward physics learning and students achievement of MAN Taluk Kuantan. This study identified that there are 51% of negative attitudes respondence showed. We also identified the students achievement were low category.Keywords: study result, learning attitude, physics learning, correlation..

Abstract

            Abstract: This reasearch aimed to determine students' attitudes on science by applying cooperative learning model talking chips at junior high school science learning on Objects Classification matter. The subject of this research was the students of class VII C Mts Al-Huda Pekanbaru, that consisted of 26 students. The data of this reasearch was primary data obtained  from students’ prestest and post-test scores using students' attitudes questionnaire on science and then analyzed descriptively. It consisted of four indicators, they were interesting in science, science learning activities, the importance of science and views on science  environmental. Based on data analysis with Likert scale questionnaire obtained an average of 1-4 students' attitudes toward sians with initial score of 2.58 and a final score of 2.83 was obtained high category.   And then  students' attitudes increasing on science was analyzed by using a gain an obtained score 0.17 by low category. There for it  can concluded Aplication Cooperative Learning Model Type Talking Chips can improve students' attitudes on science in class VIIC Mts Al-Huda Pekanbaru with low gain category.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is aimed to find out whether there are significant effects of information gap technique on the speaking ability of the second year students of SMPN 1 Sungai Apit. This is a pre-experimental research conducted by using a pre-test – treatment – post-test design. This research used one group pre-test post-test design.The instrument used in this research was tests (pre-test and post-test). The population of this research was 113 of the Second Year Students of SMPN 1 Sungai Apit and the sample of this research was VIII 2 of SMPN 1 Sungai Apit which is total number of students of class was 20 students. Cluster random sampling method was used to select one class to be the sample. The data of this research were collected by giving the speaking tests (pretest-posttest) to the students. The collected data were analyzed by using t-test formula. The results of data analysis showed the mean score of pre-test was 52.47 and the mean score of post-test was 67.20.Based on the data analysis, It can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and the post-test because the t-test observed was higher than t-table. In other words, the alternative hypothesis of this researchwas accepted and null hypothesis was rejected. It also meant that teaching speaking by using information gap technique was effective to improve the students’ speaking ability. Keywords: Speaking Ability, Information Gap, Technique

Abstract

Abstract: The research was conducted because of the law learning achivement of student on the Hydrocarbon and Petroleum subject who has not reached KKM was 70,00 that has been establishted in school. The research aimed to improve learning achievement of students on Hydrocarbon and Petroleum subject in XI class MIA SMAN 1 Tapung Hulu. This research was a kind of experimental research with pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted in SMAN 1 Tapung Hulu. The samples of this research were the students of XI MIA 4 class, as the experimental class and students of XI MIA 3 class, as the control class, which were determined randomly after doing the normality test and homogeneity test. The learning process at experimental class and control class used scientific approach which was based on the curriculum in 2013. Experimental was the class which was given the treatment that used gallery walk method, while the control class was not. The data analysis technique we used is the t test. Criteria testing H0 accepted if tcount>ttable, dk=n1+n2-2 with α=0,05. Based on the result of data analysis test, we obtained tcount>ttable is 3,79 >1,67,it meant that the application of gallery walk of leraning method could improve learning achievement on the Hydrocarbon and Petroleum subject in XI classs SMAN 1 Tapung Hulu.Key Words : Gallery Walk Learning, Learning Achievement, Hidrocarbon and Petroleum
