Abstract

Abstract: This-research aims to-develop interactive multimedia using a-problem based learning design on coordinate system topic for 8th grade students. The background of this research was development of information and communications technologies which have made some impact on the practice of education and that limited teacher preparation for the use of ICT in teaching/learning process. The research was conducted to provide learning media that can be directly use in Problem Based Learning (PBL). This research used ADDIE development model by Dick-and Carry. Development is done through the following steps:-(1)-Analyze; created a-need analysis, identified problem (needs)-of-the-students;-(2)-Design; drew a-storyboard which presented the contents of the display of interactive multimedia, prepared everything that will be required among the creation of the media;-(3)-Development; made the media on the computer based on the storyboard that has been design;-(4) Implementation and Evaluation; tested the learning media and analysis the result. The research instrument used is validation sheet to assess the validity requirement of learning media and practicality instrument which is in the form of questionnaire of student response toward learning media implementation. The learning media validated by three-validators, then practicality test was-conducted in MTs-Darul-Hikmah Pekanbaru which is tested in a small-group and large-group. Based on the data analysis, the-result showed that interactive multimedia using a-problem-based-learning design on coordinate-system topic belong to the category of very-valid with an-average value is 3.89 and also could be used very well as learning media for 8th grade-students. Recommendation-for-further research is to test the media in learning process to observe the-effect-of-this-learning-media-to-increase-student’s-score-(learning-outcomes).Key Words : Interactive Multimedia, Development, Coordinate System

Abstract

Abstract: This study discussed one of literary creation that is novel. Novel studied was Andrea Hirata’s novels, entitled Sang Pemimpi. In this study, the formulation of the problem is how the level of student’s ability in write a review text of novel Sang Pemimpi by Andrea Hirata that are divided into the orientation, interpretation, evaluation, and summary. The study that aim to find out the level of student’s ability in write a review text used descriptive methods with statistical techniques. In this study found that the mean value of student's ability of grade VIII at SMPN 1 Sungai Apit in write review text is 78.72. This result also indicated that among the four parts of the review text, the structure that has improved is evaluation structure, while that has not been a good improvement was the summary.Key words: Novel, structure, review text.

Abstract

Abstract: The research was classroom action research that aims to improve learning process and mathematics learning achievement with applied the cooperative learning think pair square structural approach. The subject of the research is students of class X8 SMAN 2 Siak Hulu in the second semester academic years 2013/2014. There are 36 students in the class, consist of 18 girls and 18 boys with heterogeneous academic ability. This research is execieted in two cycles, and at the of every cycle end carried out mathematics achievement test. Data collected through observation and mathematics achievement test. Analysis data of observation was performed with narrative descriptive analysis. This research result in showed an increase in students from the base score with the percentage 30,5 % to 52% on the first test and 69,45% on the second test. This research result in indicates that the Learning Cycle 5E (LC 5E) can improve learning process and students' mathematics learning outcomes math class X8 SMAN 2 Siak Hulu.Key words: Mathematics Achievement, Learning Cycle 5E (LC 5E), Class action research

Abstract

Abstract: This research entitled is Language Style of Song Lyrics of Dunia Batas Album by Payung Teduh Music Group. The problem of this research was “what are the styles of language in song lyric of Dunia Batas album by Payung Teduh music group. It was theoretically and practically useful for the readers. To overcome the problem, the writer used Pradopo and Hasanddin „s theory. This qualitative research was conducted from January 2017 to December 2017. The writer also used qualitative descriptive method. The source of this research was Payung Teduh song lyric which exactly in their second album entitled Dunia Batas. This album had launched fourteen songs in 2012 basically in Compact Disc form. The design of the album was green tosca with a picture of shady tree sketch where in the right down corner was the album title “Dunia Batas” and in the center of the album was “Payung Teduh”. The writer used documentation method for data collecting. Data analysis techniques of this research were descriptive analysis, data presentation, and conclusions. The writer also used triangulation data technique for data validation. Based on the research can be found some results such as collation language style were 4 data, metaphor language style were 2 data, personification language style were 10 data, metonymy language style was 1 data, sinekdoke pars pro toto language style were 4 data, sinekdoke totum pro parte language style were 3 data, allegory language style were 6 data, parable language style was 0 data and fable language style was 0 data. In conclusion, this research describes and proves that song lyric of Dunia Batas album from Payung Teduh music group contain some language styles.Keywords: Language Styles, Lyric, Album

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce mathematic learning device in the form of syllabus, lesson plan, and student worksheet based on discovery learning on Lines and Angles topic for 7th grade. The study model used is ADDIE by Dick and Carry that consist of analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Development process is done until the development stage. The research instrument used is validity instrument and practicality instrument. The validity instrument is a validation sheet to assess the feasibility of syllabus, lesson plans and student worksheet. The practicality instrument is in the form of observation sheet of learning process implementation and questionnaire of student response . Learning device developed are validated by four validators. The research trials were conducted in SMP Negeri 13 Pekanbaru which is tested in a small group and large group. Small group trial aims to assess the practicability based on student response questionnaire, while the large group to assess the practicability based on the observation sheet of learning process implementation and student response questionnaire. Based on the data analysis, it can be conclude that the average value for syllabus is 3.42 in very valid category which means that syllabus is feasible to be used; as well as the average value for lesson plan and student worksheet are 3.71 and 3.71. That are in very valid category which means that lesson plan and student worksheet are feasible to be tested. The student worksheet valued as very practical with mean score for small group and large group testing are 3,67 and 3,38. The lesson plan also valued as very practical with mean percentage is 96,67%. These categories mean that the lesson plan and student worksheet are feasible to used in school.Keyword: Mathematics Learning Device, Discovery Learning, Development Research, ADDIE Model

Abstract

Abstract: Distorted action is a problem that often occurs in adolescents, both in the family environment, school and community environment. In schools it is shown by the act of fighting among students, doing the graffiti of the school wall, often absent. Because there are still a lot of juvenile delinquency occurs, therefore researchers feel the need to research about juvenile delinquency in terms of parental care and parent work. The purpose of this research is to know the description of juvenile delinquency level, to know the description of parent's parenting pattern, to know the description of parent's job, to know the description of juvenile delinquency based on parenting pattern, to know the description of juvenile delinquency level based on the work of the parents. The research method used qualitative method of descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used questionnaires. The population is 400 students with a sample of 200 students. The results showed that the picture of juvenile delinquency rates was higher among parents applying permissive parenting patterns in which the permissive parenting pattern was in very high category. While the picture of a higher level of juvenile delinquency occurs in students whose parents work entrepreneurs are in very high category.Keywords: Juvenile Delinquency, Patterns of Parenting, Parent Occupation

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the low result in learning math by the students. The researcher assumes that one of it reason is the ability of teacher to deliver material is less interest of less able to stimulate students to react and give respond. The use of instructional media will be able to raise the motivation and stimulation of learning activities. One of learning media that can be used is the interactive media. Interactive media is learning media, that is a combination of sounds, images, text, animation and color. The media have made a different atmosphere in the learning-teaching process which is usually the subject matter taught in lectures, assignment and monotonous discussions. With this media will make students become interested, memorable and long term in the memory. This type of research is a quasi experimental study, with the study design non equivalent control group design. The research subject were the students in third - grade of elementary school 101 Pekanbaru. A third - grade students as a control class and B third – grade students as an experiment class. Collecting data were analyzed by using normality test, homogeneity test, t-test, gain, and correlation coefficients. Based on the analysis of data obtained interactive learning media influence on classroom experiments at 65,76 %. In the (t-test) average of differences of significance test on the index gain experiment class with control class earned 1,502 > table 1.666. it is that there are no significant differences in learning result between control and experiment classes. Therefore, from the hypothesis of this study there are the effect of the use of interactive learning media toward the result of learning math students’ in third – grade of elementary school 101 Pekanbaru.Key Words: interactive learning media, learning math result

Abstract

Abstrak: The background of this research is the low ability of students' problem solving of mathematics which causes the low result of the mathematics students learning. This research is a pre-experimental research and use the design of The Static Group Comparison. Population in this research is all grade VIII students in SMP Negeri 14 Pekanbaru. The sample in this research consists of two class, where the VIII4 as a control class and the VIII7 as as experimental class. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of implemantation problem solving strategy in think pair share (tps) structural approach of cooperative learning towards students mathematics problem solving ability in KD 3.1 generalizing of patterns on sequence numbers and sequences of object configuration and KD 4.1 resolving problems related to patterns sequence of numbers and sequences of object configuration. The instruments in this research were mathematical early ability test and mathematical problem ability test (postest). The result of mathematical early ability test was used for determining the sample of class. The postest result was analyzed by nonparametric statistic test of Mann Whitney. The result of the research showed that implementation problem solving strategy in think pair share (tps) structural approach of cooperative learning give the positive effect towards students mathematical problem solving ability at class VIII SMP Negeri 14 Pekanbaru. The implementation of problem solving strategy in think pair share (tps) structural approach of cooperative learning gave effect for 31,30% towards students mathematical problem solving ability at class VIII SMP Negeri 14 Pekanbaru and included in the minimum category.Key Words: Problem solving strategies, Think Pair Share structural approach to Cooperative learning, Mathematical Problem Solving Ability

Abstract

Abstract: Shuujoshi is particle that show narrator attitude with respect to the associate narrator and event. Shuujoshi gives important role to make conversation become simply natural. Shuujoshi is type of fundamental language expression that are used in human daily activity. This circumstance had made it become interesting in translating process and unique as well. The objective of this research was to describe the translation of ending particle (shuujoshi) from japanese to indonesian language from doraemon comic in japanese language and its translation.The result showed that : 1. There were some of few words that can't be translated according to Shuujoshi translation. 2.The shuujoshi can’t be translated, mean of equivalent can be reached because expression of source language can be used in to target language, but a few word can’t be translated. 3. Abstract

Abstract: Interjection is a word that the writer uses to express the feelings and semosi characters. Interaction is commonly used in literary works such as short stories, novels, drama script, and film. This study aims to analyze the interjection function contained in the short story Cerpen Riau Cerpen Riau. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with documentation technique. Sources of data in this study is the text of the Short Story Cerpen 100 Year Cerpen Riau which amounted to 100 short stories. The data in this study are sentences in which there are interjections. The results of this study suggest that 13 interjection functions with the number of functions expressing shock (31), expressing annoyance (20), expressing anger (4), expressing pain (2), expressing amazement (3), expressing mockery (3), (3), states call / greeting (12), states unbelief (6), states ignorance (7), states admiration (16), and states fear (5). Then the total usage of all functions is 113.Keywords: Interjection, Short Story, Some Story 100 Years Riau Short Story
