Abstract

Abstract: the purpose of this research is to know the effect of sand painting activity on spatial visual intelligence of child aged 5-6 years in TK Handayani Rambah Hilir Sub District Rokan Hulu Regency. This research is an experimental research using one group design with pre-test through observation sheet of spatial visual intelligence. The population in this study that children B classes totaling 15 children. The method used is pre-experiment with one group design that is experiment conducted on one group alone with no comparison group. The type of instrument used in this study was to use an observation guide to record the activities that occurred during the treatment given. Based on the result of hypothesis test, the effect of sand painting activity on spatial visual intelligence of children aged 5-6 years in TK Handayani Rambah Hilir Sub District Rokan Hulu Regency. This known t count of 23.189 with sig 0.000, because sig < 0.05 it can be concluded that there are differences in the intelligence visual spatial in significant students before and after using sand painting activities. Hypothesis test can be seen on t = 23.189> t table = 2.145. It has been suggested that there are significant differences in the results between the pretest and posttest. Abstract

Abstract: This descriptive qualitative research was aimed to know the frequency of types and functions of code switching by the English teachers in the classroom at SMA Darma Yudha Pekanbaru. The sample of the research was consisted of three English teachers. In order to gather the data, the writer used observation, recorder and students’ questionnaire to support the data. The types of code switching appearing in the classroom were observed based on the theory proposed by Poplack, while the functions of code switching appearing in the classroom were observed based on the theory proposed by Matton and Burenhult. Moreover, to interpret the data gathered, the writer analyzed them through four steps of analysis, they are: recording, rechecking, transcribing and classifying the data. While in the students’ questionnaire, the responses were analyzed through simple percentage calculation. The findings indicate that the types of code switching were simply found in three types: (a) thirty seven times in intra-sentential code switching, (b) thirty six times in inter-sentential code switching and (c) fifteen times in tag switching. Moreover, the functions of code switching used by the English teachers in the classroom were found in four functions; (a) twenty one times in elaboration function, (b) twelve times in affective function, (c) sixteen times in repetitive function and (d) six times addressee specification. Finally, the results of students’ questionnaire indicate that the students had a positive perception of teachers’ code switching in the English instructional process.Keywords: Code Switching, English instructional process.

Abstract

Abstract: This descriptive research aims to find out the ability of the second year students of MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru in comprehending hortatory exposition text. The population of this research were the second year students of MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru in academic year 2016/2017. The number of sample were 50 students which were chosen by using random sampling technique. The data were collected using reading comprehension test in multiple choice types by giving 5 hortatory exposition texts with 40 multiple choice items.The results of the data analysis showed that the mean score of the students’ ability in comprehending hortatory eksposition text is as big as 65.55. It can be concluded that the ability of the second year students of MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru in comprehending hortatory eksposition text is categorized good. Based on the result of the students’ ability in each of reading comprehension component, the lowest component of reading comprehension for the students was finding meaning of certain words (54.8) and the highest one was finding factual information (82). This result suggests that the students need to learn more in comprehending hortatory exposition text. Even though the mean score is classified in good level, but only few of students pass the minimum passing rate of their school.Keywords: Study, Ability, Hortatory Exposition Text.

Abstract

Abstract : Local wisdom has its own form or form, the form of local wisdom can be categorized into two aspects, namely tangible and intangible local wisdom. In this regard the researcher discusses the local wisdom and values contained in Rumah Gadang in West Sumatra. Minangkabau traditional house is called Rumah Gadang or Rumah Godang which is the result of local wisdom of the people of West Sumatra. Rumah Gadang which is a traditional house and found in many provinces of West Sumatra, Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to know the meaning of the philosophy that is contained in the carvings, shapes and colors of Rumah Gadang, the function of Rumah Gadang and to know the public perception of the existence of Rumah Gadang in Tanah Datar regency of West Sumatra. The method used in this research is histori and descriptive method. Data obtained through literature techniques, documentation and comparative studies. while the research location is in Tanah Datar regency of West Sumatra. The time of study counted from the start of the proposal results seminar until the test results. The result of this research is that the Minangkabau community is a dynamic society that will always change with the passage of time. As it has been rung in one of the Minangkabau adage proverb namely 'Alam Takambang Jadi Guru'. One interesting thing that we can conclude here is that every lesson learned from nature should be able to be accumulated as new inputs in life, even this is not covered in terms of their homes or residential facilities.Keywords : Rumah Gadang, Values of Local Wisdom, Minangkabau Cultur

Abstract

Abstract, Based on observations by the author and information from teachers at SDN 002 Penjasorkes Pasar Benai Singingi Kuantan District, there are still many students who penjasorkesnya low learning outcomes it is suspected because of the nutritional status of students is different. Therefore, researchers are interested to prove by means of research with nutritional status and the results of relationship the students learn some vital lessons SDN 002 Pasar Benai. This type of research is correlational comparing the measurement results of two different variables in order to determine the degree of correlation between these variables. As the independent variable (X) is the nutrition status while the dependent variable (Y) is the result of learning. The data in this study were obtained from the test height and weight to determine the nutritional status while learning the value of MID hail the semester students. Before the data is processed researchers to test data normality test results Liliefors with normal distribution of data. After the data were analyzed using product moment correlation was found the value of r count (-0484,) <rtabel (0.497) can thus be concluded that there is no correlation with the nutritional status of student learning outcomes SDN 002 V class son Pasar Benai Singingi Kuantan District.Keywords: NutritioNl Status, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstrack: This study discusses the politeness scale imperative speech in drama Gokusen 1 episode 1-5. The purpose of this study was to knowing the politeness scale used in imperative speech and determine the factors that influence politeness. The object of research is figures in the drama Gokusen 1 episode 1-5. This study is qualitative descriptive by interpreting the object under study based on the theory of politeness by Leech (1983). Data obtained by listening to imperative speech which used figures and noted then group them into each type of imperative. From the result of research, indicates that the characters in the drama Gokusen using five types of politeness scale by Leech. Cost-benefit scale used in data “Hikkomeya! (go out!)”. Optionality scale used in data “eiga wo mi ni ikimasenka? (will go to the cinema?)”. Indirectness scale used in data “kiite! (listen!)”. Authority scale used in data “yamero! (stop it!)”, and social distance scale used in data “Ganbare! (fighting!)”. In this study are also often found students who used the speech is not polite to the teacher. It is uncommon in everyday life. In addition, there are some factors that influence the politeness of the each speech.Key Word: Politeness Scale, Imperative Speech

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes IPS Grade IV SD Negeri 12 Pangkalan Jambi of learning IPS as expected has not been achieved 75% of the provisions. It is evident from the number of students who have not yet reached complete learn while the minimum standard criteria (KKM) set the school is 65. This is confirmed from the 19 students only five people (27%) of students who reached the KKM. And 14 (73%) of people do not reach KKM with an average value of 51.58, One of the learning that is expected to achieve this is by the application of learning models Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Increased activity of the teacher in the learning process in the first cycle of the first meeting of 57.14% with enough categories, and the second meeting of 67.85% with both categories. Then the increase in cycle II to the first meeting of 78.57% with a good category, and the second meeting of 85.71% premises nkategori very good. Increased activity of students in the first cycle of meeting pertama57,14% with less category, and the second meeting of 64.28% with enough category. Then increased again in the second cycle of meetings pertama7,14% with enough categories and the second meeting of 78.57% with a good category and resulting increases in social studies students from a base score to the first cycle ie from an average of 51.58 into 66.32 with an increase of 14.74% and an increase learning outcomes of the first cycle to the second cycle of an average of 66.32 into 76.58 with an increase of 25%.Key words: Implementation Approach Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL),, Learning Outcomes IPS.

Abstract

Abstract The research is begin from the low of the social studies students learning outcomes with an average grade 53,43 while the value of minimum criteria of completeness (KKM) is 65. This research is classroom action research (CAR). That suppose to increase the social studies student learning outcomes at fourth grade of elementary school 008 Sungai Segajah Kecamatan Kubu Rokan Hilir District. The formulation of the research is does the application of cooperative learning model type make a match to increase the students learning outcomes of social student at tree brade of elementary school 008 Sungai Segajah Kecamatan Kubu Rohil district. The data was collected by using observation paper. And god the result by examination I and II. The value before CAR by individual are 16 students that passed with average 65. And in cycle II that passed are students with average passed 70,93. So the improvement of students learning out comes from the bassed score to cycle I increase about 21,65% whereas from based score to cycle II increase about 32,75%. The activity of the teacher in first cycle with average 70,83% and in second cycle about 87,5%. The student is activity in first cycle is average about 62,5% and the scond cycle is everage 83,33%. The result of this research said that the application of cooperative learning model type make a match can increase the social studies students learning outcomes at tree brade of elementary school 008 Sungai Segajah Kecamatan Kubu Rokan Hilir District.Key Word : Kooperative type make a match, The social student achievement

Abstract

Abstrak: This study discusses about the Effectiveness of Cooperative Learning Method Type Jigsaw On Material Choukai III For Javanese Deparment Student FKIP UR. The purpose of this study is to know how the result of learning student in class before and after using in cooperative learning method type Jigsaw material of Choukai III, and how the student interaction in class before and after using in learning cooperative method type Jigsaw in Choukai material. The object of this study is the Javanese Deparment Student FKIP UR at grade II. In this study the writer used research design weak eksperimen is designed with pretest before doing the test and posttest after doing the test. Data accumulation technique have been done by giving the test and observing. The result test in this pretest and posttest used statistic test t- by using manual test for knowing some big level of result significance student learning when used learning Jigsaw type. Based on statistic data processing t-by manual test is got = 8 and = 2.1 (standart significance 5%) > so is unaccepted and accepted. It’s means that there is significance contrast to ward effectiveness of coorperatif learning method type Jigsaw on material Choukai III at student grade II in academic 2016/2017 Javanese FKIP Riau University.Key Words: Kooperatif Learning Method Type Jigsaw, Choukai III, Weak Eksperimen

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the low motivation of students in doing homework (homework) given by teachers at school. This study aims to determine the internal factors that influence students' motivation to do homework and the internal factors that most influence the motivation of students to do homework. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. This research was conducted in class V SD Negeri 147 Pekanbaru. Based on the results of the study, it was found that internal factors that influence students 'motivation to do homework consist of, factors of students' aspirations or aspirations, factors of student ability and factors of student conditions. The internal factors that most influence the motivation of students in class V SD Negeri 147 Pekanbaru, namely the ideals or aspirations of students is 34.4%.Key Words: Internal Factors, Motivation, Homework.
