Abstract

Abstract: This research was motivated by Batak Toba people in the church of “karismatik” who consider a marriage hold in the church is a legal marriage, it is no longer hold a ceremony. But, Batak Toba people consider a marriage is not perfect without a ceremony because it can lead to conflicts in the family. It motivated the writer to take a title “A Study on the People Perception of the Traditions in the Process of Batak Toba Traditional Marriage in the Church Rajawali Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru”. The formulation of the research was as follows: “How is the people perception of the traditions in the process of Batak Toba traditional marriage in the Church Rajawali Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru?”. The objective of the research was to know how the people perception of the traditions in the process of Batak Toba traditional marriage in the Church Rajawali Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru is. The population of the research was 572 KK and the sample was 43 people. The instrument to collect the data were questionnaires which consist of 16 questions and interviews which consist of 4 questions. The data was analyzed by Qualitative Descriptive through percentage. Based on the calculation of percentage by respondents, the  answer “good” was obtained as 70,79% placed on rank 66,67%-100%. Thus, the hyphothesis which explains the people perception that was “good” of the traditions in the process of Batak Toba traditional marriage in the Church Rajawali Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru was accepted. Based on the research finding, it can be inferred that a study on the people perception of the traditions in the process of Batak Toba traditionalmarriage in the Church Rajawali Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru was good.  Key word: Perception, Traditional marriage (custom).

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated harmonization households always ends with a divorce by the wife. As in the case of divorce occurred in Pangkalan Kuras district, the case is seen from the quantity is high. The issue raised in this research is the factors that cause the occurrence of divorce in  Pangkalan Kuras district, Pelalawan regency. This research aims to determine the factors that cause the occurrence of divorce in Pangkalan Kuras district, Pelalawan regency. The source for this research was people that involved in a case of divorce that occurred in 2013, there were 50 respondents. The technique that used in this research was a total sampling technique, so that it was just 40 respondents. The data were collected through observation, interview, questioner, literature study and documentation and it was been analyzed by using descriptive qualitative way. The result of this research can be concluded that the cause of divorce in Pangkalan Kuras district, Pelalawan regency is because of a husband left his wife for a long time. It was because the survey showed that 32 respondents or 80% said that. Contrary with this, based on hypothesis of the author that assumed the causes of divorce in Pangkalan Kuras district, Pelalawan regency were the economic factor and a third person wer rejected. Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research was to develop discovery learning-oriented student worksheets to improve students’ creative thinking skills in biotechnology topic on grade XII shs. The research held on December 2014 until March 2015. The research used Research and Development with ADDIE model as the method. Development was held in laboratory of Biology Education Riau University and limited trial was held in MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru.Validation sheet, respondent sheet and observation sheet of creative thinking skills were used as data collecting instruments. Validation sheet consist of 18 items and 4 aspects, there are didactic, construction, technique and creative thinking skills. The results of the validation of experts obtained the following data: didactic 3.43 (very valid), construction 3.62 (very valid), technique 3.75 (very valid) and creative thinking skills 3.69 (very valid). Discovery learning oriented worksheets that have been developed potentially to improve student’s creative thinking skills on biotechnology topic for grade XII shs. Worksheets need to be continued until implementation and evaluation steps to make sure the quality of worksheet product developed. Abstract

Abstract: Nongsa is Batam eastern coastal area which is crowded with a variety of industrial activities, transportation and domesti. The waste products of these activities will result in waste of heavy metals Pb and Cd which can pollute the surrounding waters. In order to investigate the quality of coastal waters in the nongsa beach, Batam city,  the measurement of heavy metals lead and cadmium in sea water, sediment and Anadara granosa has been done in June 2014 with a survey method. Results of measurement used for the preparation of the student assignment sheet on the concept of water pollution through the stages of analysis, design, and development. The average heavy metal Pb content in sea water is 2,760 ppm, in sediment is 3,870 ppm and in Anadara granosa is 1,460 ppm. While the average heavy metal content of Cd in seawater is 0,032 ppm, in sediments is 0,029 ppm and in Anadara granosa is 0,081 ppm. The results of research can be used as material for the preparation of the student assignment sheet on the concept of water pollution in high school with category Very Good. Meanwhile, to ensure the quality of this product, the testing steps still need to be followed up to the stage of Implementation dan Evaluation. Abstract

Abstract:A descriptive study has been conducted to determine students’ scientific attitude in biology learning with project based learning model on the topic of organic waste recycling for grade X SMAN 1 Lirik school year 2013/2014. The population of this study was grade X students of SMAN 1 Lirik school year 2013/2014 and the sample was 29 students of Xb class SMAN 1 Lirik, that consists of 8 male students and 21 female students. Parameters of this study were students’ scientific attitude and the indicators were curiosity, responsibility, collaboration, tolerationandthoroughness. Observation sheet and peers questionnaire were used as data collecting instruments. The result showed that the percentage of students’ scientific attitude obtained through observation sheet was 76,2% with good category and obtained throught peers questionnaire was 71,6% with good enough category. Based on the study that has been conducted in SMAN 1 Lirik school year 2013/2014, students’ scientific attitude has became better at biology learning with project based learning model on the topic of organic waste recycling Key words:Project Based Learning, Students’ Scientific Attitude

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the barriers junior high science teacher in the city of Pekanbaru in the implementation of Curriculum 2013 school year 2013/2014. This study was conducted from October to December 2014. The sample as many as 10 teachers IPA junior class VII Public and Private Pekanbaru city which was subjected to the implementation of Curriculum 2013, which was selected by purposive sampling technique. Data collection instruments included in the form of an open questionnaire and observation. Open questionnaire statement amounted to 35 items divided into three indicators, namely the planning, implementation and evaluation. Teacher activity observation sheet with three indicators that preparatory activities, core activities, and closing activities. Data were analyzed by descriptive. Junior high science teacher barriers in the city of Pekanbaru in the implementation of Curriculum 2013 were less criteria barriers with an average (0.4), indicating the average score on each indicator, namely planning (0.5), implementation (0, 3), and evaluation (0.4). The average activity of teachers to the teaching and learning junior high science teacher in the city of Pekanbaru in the implementation of Curriculum 2013 for SMP on the preparatory activities (67.9), the core (89.1), and the cover activities ( 28.6). As for the private high school in the preparatory activities (66.7), the core (81), and cover activities (29.2). This suggests a science teacher in junior class VII Pekanbaru city in the implementation of Curriculum 2013, there were some barriers to understand the syllabus Curriculum 2013 Curriculum 2013 RPP preparation, preparation of authentic assessment techniques, apply a scientific approach (scientific) through the selected model, interaction during the learning and assessment of learning outcomes.Keywords: Barriers, Implementation of Curriculum 201, Learning science

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine improvement the learning outcomes cognitive science of physics by using media posters. This research was conducted in SMPN 2 Kuantan Hilir Seberang precisely in maret to June 2015. The subjects were students of class  VIIIA and VIIIC totaling 64 students consisting of two class which has been in both classes homogeneity testing. Form the research is pre-experimental with design intact-group comparison. The instrument of data collection in this research is a cognitive achievement test consists of 20 multiple choice items. Analysis of the data in this research is a descriptive analysis. The results were obtained absorption class using the media posters is higher then the class without using the media poster with a good enough category, otherwise learning effectiveness declared in effective less, then completeness of learning’s students classically and completeness of lesson declared not complete, and then improvement the learning outcomes cognitive students with a low category. Nevertheless, it can be concluded application media posters can increase the learning outcomes students class VIII SMPN 2 Kuantan Hilir Seberang in the subject matter vibration and wave. Abstract

Abstrak:The purpose of this study to determine the analysis of kindergarten teacher withbachelor’s of degree educated atPayung Sekaki district of Pekanbaru. Population and sample in this study were 22 people who had bachelor’s of degree educated at Payung Sekaki district of Pekanbaru. The data collection techniques that used was observation. Technique of data analysis was using a percentage formula. The results that obtained were teaching skills of kindergarten teacher at Payung Sekaki District of Pekanbaru overall was gain a percentage of 72.28% which is included in category of "Good". Based on the analysis of teachers' length of work, showing that length of work of teacher influence the teaching skills of kindergarten teacher atPayung Sekaki District of Pekanbaru. It can be known from the data analysis of the chi-square calculation that obtained result score of 41.187. This score compared with the chi-square value in the table with dk of 26 is at 5% significance level that is equal to 38.885, showing the results of calculation of chi square is greater than the chi square results in the table (41.866 > 38.855). Based on the analysis of taking the training, showing that training thatteacher had took does not affect kindergarten teachers' teaching skills atPayung Sekaki District of Pekanbaru. It can be know from the data analysis of the chi-square calculation that obtained result score of 13.829. This score compared with the chi-square value in the table with dk of 14 is at the 5% significance level that is equal to 23.685, showing the results of calculation of chi square is smaller than the results of the chi square on the table (13.829 < 23.685). Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the relationship of job satisfaction and work motivation of kindergarten teacher in Payung Sekaki District of Pekanbaru city. The population in this study were 123 teachers. The sample used in this study were 94 teachers. This study used correlation method to see how much the relationship between independent variables and dependent variable. Thetechnique of collecting data that used  was questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale.The data were analyzed using analysis-scale testing and the statistical methods that used was SPSS for Window Ver. 19.The hypothesis of this study was that there is a positive and significant relationship between job satisfaction and work motivation of kindergarten teacher in Payung Sekaki District of Pekanbaru city.It can be seen from the value of the correlation coefficient of 0.512. The level of relationship between job satisfaction and work motivation included was in the medium category. Determinant coefficient that obtained was r2 = 0.262, that's mean that the job satisfaction have influence on work motivation kindergarten teacher on the amount of 26.2% Key Words:Job Satisfaction, Work Motivation

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve the learning process and learning outcomes IPS grade IV SDN 012 Kualu Kampar regency. This was indicated by 40.62% of the 32 students achieve mastery minimum criteria (KKM) of the test scores of students in grade IV SDN 012 Kualu Kampar District Mining District to the subject. On average students is 61.56 and KKM expressed by schools is 60 based on this issue is needed to carry out action research using cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS) type. This study aims to determine whether the implementation of cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS) type can improve students' learning process and learning outcomes of social science in grade IV SDN 012 Kualu Kampar district in 2014/2015 with 32 students. This research was conducted in two cycles. The first cycle consisted of three meetings with the daily tests and the first tournament, the second cycle consists of three meetings with the daily tests and the second Tournament. instruments to collect data in this study is teacher observation sheets, and test. By applying using cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS) type can improve student learning outcomes. Percentage of completeness in the base score is 40.62% (average 61.56), and it turned into a 65.62% (average 68.43) in the first cycle and, 81.25% (mean 76.25 average) at the second cycle. Percentage 'teacher activity in the first cycle was 64.59%, and 87.5% in the second cycle. Then the percentage of student activity in the first cycle was 62.5% and 87.5% in the second cycle. From these data prove that imlementation cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS) type can improve student learning and learning outcomes in grade IV SDN 012 Kualu Kampar regency.
