Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the effect of the hormone combination with 2,4-D and BAP on callus growth Jeruk kuok (Citrus nobilis Lour) and to generate learning module design in senior high school biology. This study used a Factorial Completely Randomized Design from 5 x 4 with three replications. The first factor of 2,4-D (D) consists of 5 levels: 0 mgL-1, 1 mgL-1, 2 mgL-1, 3 mgL-1, and 4 mgL-1. The second factor of BAP (B) consists of levels: 0 mgL-1, 1 mgL-1, 2 mgL-1, and 3 mgL-1. The parameters measured were the time appeared callus, percentage of callus, callus width and texture of the callus. Data were analyzed using ANAVA and tested further with DMRT at 5% level. The results showed that the effect of 2,4-D and BAP significantly influenced the growth of Jeruk Kuok. The combination of 2,4-D and BAP showed the fastest callus in treatment of D4B2 compared to treatment D0B0. The combination of 2,4-D and BAP indicated that 8 treatments had a 100% live percentage value of D3B0, D3B1, D3B2, D3B3, D4B0, D4B1, D4B2, and D4B3. The combination of 2,4-D and BAP shows the highest rate of callus width at D3B2 treatment. The combination of 2,4-D and BAP shows the best callus texture on the treatment of D2B3, D3B0, D3B1, and D3B2. The best treatment of the combination of 2,4-D and BAP hormones is in the treatment of D2B3 to produce embryogenic callus so that it can be used for cell suspension cultures. The results of this study can be used as the design of learning resources in the form of modules in the concept of modern biotechnology high school class XII.Keywords: 2,4-D, BAP, Callus cultures, Module

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes Civics class V students of SD Negeri 59 Sebangar District of Saber, with an average grade 57.92. While the value of minimum completeness criteria (KKM) Civics is 70, among the students who totaled 24 people only 7 people who reach KKM. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) by applying cooperative learning model Mind Mapping. This thesis presents the results of studying the data obtained from the average results of study before action 57.92 increased to 64.79 in Cycle I. In the second cycle increased to 76.7. The activities of teachers in the first cycle of the first meeting of the percentage gain of 54.2% to the category, please, at the meeting of the two has increased roughly 75% of both categories. Furthermore, the first meeting of the second cycle activities of teachers also mengelami 79.2% increase in the percentage of both categories, and the second meeting of the second cycle increased by a percentage of 87.5% is very good category. Activity of students in the first cycle of the first meeting of the percentage of 58.3% enough category, at a second meeting has increased by 70.8% percentage of both categories, the first meeting with a percentage of 79.2% meniingkat both categories. At the second meeting of two cycles has increased with the percentage of 83.3% is very good category. Abstract

Abstract: This study is aimed at finding out if there is any effect of using Top-Down Processing approach on reading comprehension ability of the second year students of SMPN 40 Pekanbaru. This study was a pre-experimental research. The researcher used one group pre-test post-test design to distinguish the effect of using top-down processing approach between the pre-test and the post-test results. The total population in this study was 165 students from four classes. To choose the sample the researcher used cluster random sampling technique. Class VIII.C with 40 students was chosen as the sample. The instrument used to get the data is an objective test. The form of text in the test is narrative text. The test consists of 4 narrative texts with 20 objective questions. Each text has 5 multiple choice type of questions. The researcher used t-test by employing SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) statistics version 17.0 to measure and compare the students’ scores in reading comprehension between the pre-test and the post-test results. The post-test result (79.75) was higher than the pre-test result (61.12). The correlation coefficient between the pre-test and post-test results is 0.868 which indicates that it has a strong correlation. The result indicates that using top-down processing approach is effective to improve the students’ reading comprehension ability.Key Words: Effects, top-down processing approach, reading comprehension

Abstract

Abstract:The purpose of this study was to find out how good upbringing in the Al-Hidayah Children's Orphanage Labuh Baru Barat Village, Payung Sekaki District, Pekanbaru City, this study used a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was 20 for questionnaire tests and 30 people for research questionnaires with saturated sampling techniques in which all populations were sampled. The technique to collect data using a questionnaire. Techniques for data analysis using the percentage formula. The results of this study indicate that authoritarian parenting is reasonably good, tolerant parenting is classified as poor and democratic parenting is fairly good. So the three indicators of parenthood, if combined, are pretty good interpretations.Key Words: Parenthood, Foster Parents.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was based on the students achievement in learning mathematics especially grade VIII1 of SMP Negeri 15 Pekanbaru under the Mastery Minimum Criteria with percentage of 43,6% on the test about cube, cuboid, prism, pyramid. Beside, this research was based on the low of students learning activity with the percentage of 60,53% of students still looks passive in the process of learning math. This research is a class action research. This research aims to improve the leraning activities students and learning result in mathematics in grade VIII1 of SMP Negeri 15 Pekanbaru by implementation of CTL approach. The analyzed in quantitive showed there is an increase in againts the seven indicators of the activity of student learning. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning mathematic from the basic score with percentage 38,46% to 68,42% on the test I and 81,58% on the test II. Based on the result of this research could be concluded that the implementation of CTL Approach can improve the students learning activity and student’s achievement of learning mathematic in grade VIII1 of SMP Negeri 15 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic years 2016/2017.

Abstrac: The problem in this research is in study IPS student still be very low, this proved by lowering reached nya KKM student, While KKM determined only 7 student people ( 35 %) which can reach KKM, while 13 people ( 65%) which don’t reach KKM determined, pursuant to the problem require to be searched by the road; street to solve problem among other things is represent more interesting study model with environmental condition in everyday life. Model study kontekstual put in the way of student to learn actively and please, entangling student consciously and also unconscious which can improve student ability and can apply it in life one day- class V SD Country student day 003 pasir bongkal teaching year 2015 with student amount 20 people . This research is done by 2 is cycle times;rill twice is meeting twice is daily restating. Instrument of data collecting of at this research is, student observation sheet, teacher observation sheet, and final tes restating of cycle . This research in the form of class research ( PTK), aim to to increase study IPS class V SD Country student 003 pasir bongkal of at items of gestation period independence .these result in dicate direct learning kontekstual model can improve study IPS ability, this is visible from elementary score improvement with mean 65,5 with category unable to, cycle I with mean 75,75 with category able to and at cycle II with mean 77,25 with category able to. this proven from elementary score mean result of cycle I and II improvement became of by cycle II that is cycle I 15,65% and cycle II 17,93% data result obtained improve to ability standard model.Keywords : learning kontekstual model, IPS

Abstract:Lieutenant Colonel Syamsul Djafar was born on October 19, 1942, born in the village of Bandungrejo, East Java by parents named Kardjo Barso and Takjiman Marto Gami, Lieutenant Colonel Syamsul Djafar was thefifth child of eight siblings.The purpose of this research is to find out the life history of Lieutenant Colonel Syamsul Djafar, the struggle of Lieutenant Colonel Syamsul Djafar in Operation Seroja in 1976, the impact arising after Operation Seroja and the activities of Lieutenant Colonel Syamsul Djafar after serving in Operation Seroja. The method used is the historical method where data is collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. Data analysis uses historical writing method which consists of several stages, namely heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. Research time starts from the submission of the proposal title until the completion of the thesis of the author. Life background of Lieutenant Colonel Syamsul Djafar who comes from underprivileged families .Lieutenant Colonel DJafar in the 1976 Seroja operation, Lieutenant Colonel. Syamsul DJafar served as an investigative officer whose function was to interrogate prisoners of war.The impact caused after the Seroja operation included two parties involved that suffered many physical and non material losses including many who died on the battlefield and in the economic and social side Decreased after finished his service in Seroja Lt. Abstarak: The problem in this research is the lack of ability of science teaching in the fourth grade primary school 005 Chart of the West can be seen on the symptoms of the inability in learning the influence of the natural appearance and sky, low ability students in learning the effects of nature and the sky in the life of the community in accordance with the Their life. Lack of knowledge of students both morally and materially to the creativity peruhan nature. lack of skills in understanding concepts, reasoning, and problem solving, about science teaching fourth grade. Based on the problems it is necessary to find a way to solve the problem. Among them change the models of learning. Therefore in this study, researchers will implement cooperative learning model STAD learning. This study is classroom action research conducted by two cycles each cycle consisting of two meetings. The implementation of cooperative learning model STAD knowingly engage students to engage actively and creatively. Subjects in this study were students of class IV SDNegeri 005 West Bagan Semester II. This research data collection instruments consisted of the observation sheet activities of teachers and students and a test sheet to repeat the cycle end. This research is a classroom action research (PTK), the study aims to increase students' appreciation second semester Elementary School 005 West Bagan. The results of this study show that the implementation of cooperative learning model STAD can improve students' learning science appreciation Elementary School 005 West Bagan, with the average value becomes a value 90.8 42.9 early in the second cycle. The average value of teacher activity also increased from an average of 75.00 into 91.66. Activities of students also increased from an average of 70.83% in the first cycle to 91.66%. Thus the research hypothesis if applied local wisdom approach the learning ability of students IPA Class IV ElementarySchool 005 West Bagan increased, proven. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to; 1) To know the description of career planning before the students are given information about the understanding of career services. 2) To know the description of information understanding the process of career services tar student career planning. 3) To know the description given after the students career planning information services on understanding the career. 4) To determine differences instudents' career planning before and after the understanding of career information services.5) To determine the influence of information services on understanding the career of the students' career planning. The method used is a method Pre-experimental design, by using One group pretest-posttest design. The population was class X TKK and TKJ SMK Negeri 4 Pekanbaru, amounting to 103 people and sample the whole of the population, using sampling techniques saturated. Picture of students' career planning before being given information services are mostly located in the moderate category is 80.58%, and then in the unfavorable category at 11.65% and 7.77% for both categories. Picture of students' career planning after the given information services mostly located in either category, namely 54.37%, while the category of very good 24.27%, medium category at 20.39% 0.97% unfavorable category. Based on the results of the calculation of the correlation coefficient between x1 and x2 is determinant coefficient of 0.57 and r2 = 0.32. This means that the contribution of information on career planning services by 32%. From the calculation of the t-test obtained t greater than ttable (18.5> 1.960) then the hypothesis is accepted, there is a difference between a career planning class X TKK and TKJ SMK Negeri 4 Pekanbaru before and after understanding the information about career services.Keywords: informationservices, career planning

Abstract

Abstract: This research is classroom action research which aims to improve the learning process and the result of learning mathematics by applying Discovery Learning (DL) model. The subject of this research were the second semester students of class X MIA 5 MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru academic year 2016/2017 consisting of 13 male and 17 female students. Instruments on this reserach constisted of syllabus, lesson plans and worksheets; and instruments of data collection which is observation sheets and the test result sheets. The function of observation sheet is to obtain data from the learning process and analyzed in a narrative descriptive, while the function of results sheet of the mathematics learning tests is to obtain the results of the study and analyzed in statistics descriptive. From narrative descriptive analysis can be seen that there was improvement of learning process from before action in cycle I to cycle II. From statistic deskriptive analysis can be seen an increase in the number of students who reach the minimum criteria of mastery learning. The learning result of the student experience an increase from the basic score the Cycle I and Cycle II. On the knowledge competence, from the basic score with percentage 36,67% experience improvement in Cycle I with percentage 50% and 70% in Cycle II. On the skills competence, the number of students who reach the minimum criteria of mastery learning from Cycle I with percentage 23.33% improve to 50% in cycle II. Based on the results of this research can be concluded that the application of the Discovery Learning (DL) model can improve the learning achievement of the second semester students of class X MIA 5 MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru academic year 2016/2017.Key Words: Mathematics Learning Achievement, Discovery Learning model, Classroom Action Research
