Abstract

Abstract : The study design was a classroom action research (CAR). Research was conducted in two cycles of four meetings and two replications of material daily. Background of the problem in this study is the low student learning outcomes fourth grade in public primary schools 016 kusau makmur with an average value of 66.17% of 34 students reached the KKM beelom as many as 22 people (64,70%). KKM while reaching only 12 people (35,30%). formulation of the problem in this research “is the research debate active method can improve learning outcomes of students on the subjects of Civics fourth grade in public primary schools 016 Kusau Makmur ?”. The purpose of this research to improve the learning outcomes of students in learning civics by applying an active debate. The experiment was conducted in the second semester in March 2016 of the school year 2015/2016 subjects were fourth grade in public primary schools 016 Kusau Makmur by the number of students 34 people, consisting of 13 boys and 21 girls. Data collection instrument in this study is the observation sheet and the teacher and the student achievement test. Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of active learning methods debates can improve learning outcomes of students of fourth grade in primary school 016 Kusau Makmur Tapung Hulu district Kampar regency. Key Words: Active debate methods, learning outcomes

Abstract

AbstrakThe study was based on the low learning outcomes of SD Negeri 56 Pekanbaru on fourth grade students. From 30 students who achieved KKM only 10 students. The purpose of this research is to improve the learning outcomes of the students of fourth grade students in SD Negeri 56 Pekanbaru with the application of contextual learning model. The results of the activity of the teacher 's in first meeting of the first cycle percentage of 50% with less categories, improved in the second meeting be fairly categorized 56.25%. At the first meeting of the second cycle increased with the percentage of 62.50% with enough categories and at the second meeting of the second cycle of 68.75% categorized good. At the first meeting of the third cycle increased with the percentage of 81.25% with a very good category and at the second meeting of the third cycle increased to 87.50 categorized very well. In the first cycle, the first meeting of the first cycle percentage 50% less category, rising at the second meeting of the percentage of 56.25 % categorized good. At the first meeting of the second cycle increased to 62.50 categorized good. At the first meeting of the third cycle increased to 75% categorized very well, and at the second meeting of the third cycle increased to 87.50 categorized very well . Mastery learning students on the basis of scores of students who completed the 10 students who did not complete while 20 students, with classical completeness 33.33 % not finished). At the end of the first cycle of repeat students who complete 18 incomplete whereas 12 students, with classical completeness 60 % (not finished) . At the end of the second cycle replications increased thoroughness, students who completed the 21 students who did not complete whereas 9 students, with classical completeness 70% (not finished) . At the end of the replication cycle III also increased the thoroughness of students who completed 30 students, while students who do not complete 0, the classical completeness 100% (completed) .Keywords: Kontekstual, The Result Of Social Studies1.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is conducted based on the unsatisfied process in learning mathematics at grade VIII.5 of SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru. It was seen from the low motivation of the students to learn mathematics whilethe learning process. These problems impact on the number of students who pass KD 4.1 Determine the elements and parts of the circle; 4.2 Counting the circumference of a circle; And 4.3 Using the relationship of center angle, arc length, area of juring in problem solving test with percentage of 47,6%. The research was a Classroom Action Research that aims to improve the learning process and increase the motivation of the students to learn mathematics by implementing Cooperative Learning Approach Structural of Numbered Heads Together (NHT). There were 42 students in the class consisting 21 boys and 21 girls as the participant of this research. The instruments of data collecting in this research were observation sheets (observation of teacher and students activity and observation of students motivation) and the motivation questionnaire. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative descriptive, while the motivation questionnaire were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process and the motivation of students to learn mathematics at grade VIII.5 of SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru better after the action than before the action. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test for all indicators of motivation questionnaire obtained Z = -3,858, so that = 0,0001 < α = 0,05 and for each indicator of the motivation to learn mathematics obtained . From this test is rejected, in other words, the motivation to learn mathematics at grade VIII.5 of SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru increased after the action. Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of Cooperative Learning Approach Structural of NHT can improved the learning process and increased motivation to learn mathematics at grade VIII.5 of SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru on second semester of academic year 2015/2016.Key Words : Motivation to Learn Mathematics, Cooperative Learning ApproachStructural of Think Pair Square, Classroom Action Research2

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes in SD Negeri 067Tegar by implementing cooperative learning model Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) structural approach. Subjects of the research were students grade IVb whohave the academic ability of the heterogeneous. This research is classroom action research with two cycles. Each cycles has four stages, the stages are planning, action, observation and reflection. The results showed the activity of teachers and students have done well after doing the action. An increase in the number of students who achieved at UH KKM end of each cycle compared to the number of students who achieve KKM on base score. Results of this research indicate that the application of Cooperative Learning Model Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) Structural Approach can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of students grade IVb SD Negeri 067 Tegar Pematang Pudu in the first semester academic year 2013/2014.Key words: Mathematics learning outcomes, Cooperative learning, Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS), Classroom action research.WISUDA OKTOBER

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of learning inquiry trainingmodel on simple harmonic motion lessons to the students' science process skills ingrade X SMA Negeri 1 Tualang. The type of this study was quasi experiment with IntactGroup Comparison design and involved 1 control class and 1 experimental classconsisting of 68 students. The instrument used in this research is a science skill testconsisting of 18 validated description questions. The result of the analysis shows thatthe six aspects of science process skill consist of observation skills, collecting andprocessing the data, planning the experiment / research, formulating and testing thehypothesis, formulating the explanation and drawing conclusions in the experimentalclass with the treatment using inquiry training model higher than the control classUsing conventional models. Based on the data analysis and discussion it can beconcluded that the inquiry training model positively influences the science process skillson simple harmonic motion lessons.Keywords: Inquiry training model, Process Science Skill, Simple Harmonic Motion

Abstract

Abstract : The aim of this study is to find out the ability of the second year students of SMKN 2 Pekanbaru in comprehending procedure texts. The population of this research is all of the second year students which consisted of 301 students. There were 40 students who participated in this study as sample. The instrument was a test adapted from authentic material. The frame of the test was covered by 5 components such as, finding main idea, finding factual information, finding meaning of difficult word, finding references, and finding generic structure. Each component consisted of 6 questions. The test contained 30 items. Before the test was administered, the test was tried out to find out the difficulty level and the reliability of the test. To analyze the data, the raw score of the students was calculated and the level of ability was identified by using the classification of ability level by Harris (1974). The result showed that the ability of the second year students of SMKN 2 Pekanbaru in comprehending procedure texts was at Mediocre level with mean score 51.8. Therefore, it can be concluded that most of the students were able to comprehend procedure texts. To reach this, the students were suggested to do more practice in reading procedure texts in order to comprehend and to improve the ability in reading due to the poorness of their reading ability.Key Words : Reading Ability, Reading Comprehension, Procedure Text

Abstract

Abstract: As a productive skill, writing is considered a difficult subject for the students. It needs practicing to improve the ability. It is important for English learners of education faculty to acquire writing as a basic skill to face the global needs of communication in future life. Since expository is the common type of writing used in university, the students are expected to be able to write a good expository writing. This descriptive quantitative research is aimed at finding out the ability of the fourth semester students of English Study Program, FKIP-Universitas Riau in writing an expository essay. The samples of the research are 34 fourth semester students in academic year of 2017/2018 who are chosen by using cluster random sampling technique. The data are obtained from students’ performance in expository writing. There are 5 topics provided with several types of essay development; descriptive, chronological order, cause & effect, comparison & contrast and persuasion in which the students have to choose one to hand in. The time allocation is 120 minutes for the entire test. The data are graded by four raters by using analytical scoring system that assesses some aspects of writing; grammar, vocabulary, mechanics, fluency and organization. The finding shows that the students have good ability level in writing an expository essay with the mean score of 67,90. Besides, it is found out that the students’ ability in terms of organization is the highest among other aspects with the mean score of 72,50. The lowest score is in terms of mechanics with the mean score of 65,44. This study suggests that the students need to do more practice and be concerned more toward every aspect of writing, particularly in terms of mechanics and grammar.Keywords: Study, Writing Ability, Expository Essay

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to investigate the level of the eleventh grade students’ ability of MAN 1 Pekanbaru in writing hortatory exposition text. The research design is a descriptive quantitative research. There were 32 students chosen as the samples of this research and it was from XI Science 4 class. The instrument of this research was a writing test analyzed by using scoring system adapted from Anderson in Huges (1989) and the students’ scores were matched with ‘The Student Mastery Level’ adapted from Harris (1974). The data show that there were no students who reached excellent level and 1 student (3.13%) was in very good level. Then, there were 13 students (40.63%) who were in good level and 10 students (31.25%) who were in fair level. Moreover, 7 students (21.88%) were in poor level and 1 student (3.13%) was in very poor level. From the collected data, it could be concluded that this eleventh grade students’ ability level of MAN 1 Pekanbaru in writing hortatory exposition text was categorized into fair level. Besides, from the five writing indicators assessed, it was found that the students did the best in vocabulary and style with 3.51 as the average score and the students found it difficult in organization indicator (2.98).Key Words: student, ability, writing, hortatory exposition

Abstract

Abstrack: The development of oil palm plantations has a dual impact on the regional economy especially in creating employment opportunities. The development of oil palm plantations has provided benefits so that it can expand the power of distributions to the surronding community. So that the development of oil palm plantations is increasingly felt the impact on workers working in the plantation sector, the impact can be seen from the increase in additional income. The purpose of this study is 1) to determine the background of the establishment process of PT. Tri Bakti Sarimas in Pantai Village, Kuantan Singingi Regency 2) to find out how the socio-economic conditions of Desa Pantai community before and after the establishment of PT. Tri Bakti Sarimas in Pantai Village, Kuantan Singingi Regency 3) to find out the business that was carried out by PT. Tri Bakti Sarimas on the socio-economic community in Pantai Desa Kuantan Singingi. In this method using qualitative and quantitative methods where this will provide complete information that is useful for science. The results of this study that the coastal village community of Kuantan Singingi Regency (1995-2018) experienced a development in the socio-economic field which was influenced by the establishment of PT. Tri Bakti Sarimas with an effort / program of concern for the Pantai Desa community, namely Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).Key Words: PT. Abstract

Abstract: The formulation of the problem in this study is how to apply the discipline of teachers in the PKBM Bina Kreasi district of Tenayan Raya Kota Pekanbaru. The advantage of this research is to find out the application of the discipline by teachers to students / residents of learning. The purpose of this study was to find out how to apply the discipline of teachers in PKBM Bina Kreasi Pekanbaru City. This study uses a type of descriptive research with a qualitative approach, which aims to determine the application of discipline in the PKBM Bina Kreasi district of Tenayan Raya Kota Pekanbaru. The informants in this study were four people, namely teachers at PKBM Creative Development. Interviews are conducted on the basis of research indicators, namely the application of discipline consisting of all sub-indicators and consists of nine dimensions. The application of the tutor discipline to the PKBM Bina Kreasi district of Tenayan Raya Kota Pekanbaru can be seen on the basis of the results of interviews with teachers at PKBM via 18 questions. From the 18 questions it can be concluded that the application of discipline at PKBM Creation is flexible due to factors from the background of the learning community itself.Key Words: Application, Discipline, Tutor, In PKBM
