Abstract

The division of­ roles of­ men and women particularly within the scope of the household becomes a crucial problem, especially if it is viewed from a gender perspective. And the extent to which equality is to fulfill a sense of justice for each part--husband and wife--in American households will be studied further.Feminism has changed the lives of American society in many aspects to come an equality so that men and women are in the same position. They eliminate gender role stereotype that classifies the working area into two: public and domestic. Balance position bargaining colors the division of roles in American households. Abstract

The Minister of Religious Affairs plans to submit the draft of Religion law courts on National Legislations 2010. These submission indicates the punishment jurisdiction for each agent of polygamy, marriage secretly, and mut’ah, where they practice marriages outside the supervision of Official Religious Affairs Office (KUA). Furthermore, the punishment will be dropped to anyone involved in marriage practice outside the supervision of Official Religious Affairs Office (KUA). Indeed, the matter of imbalance practical marriage as mentioned before points out a case of misinterpretation of the religious texts. Abstract

One of things which establish gender injustice comes from the inaccuracy of reading religious texts included in the Islamic religious texts that are not friendly toward women. This paper discusses a new reading proposed by some Feminist Muslim. It will be reviewed through the interpretation of the creation of women, leadership and woman as wittnesses. Abstract

Household Workers (PRT) are marginal groups which are the most vulnerable to the abuse of the employer. This proved by the absence of legal clarity or protection for their work. Constitutional Guarantees as a form of state contracts in order to provide Economical and Social protection as well as justice and welfare for human including domestic workers should be a fundamental regulation since Indonesian independence. The existence of normative , legal and even practical reasons to strengthen the argument that the protection of the law for domestic workers should be regulated in the legislation specifically in Drafts or Bill on Protection of Household Workers. Abstract

Di panggung kehidupan negeri ini, perempuan masih terbelenggu budaya patriarkhi yang menghempas kebebasan. Kaum perempuan seakan ditikam oleh tradisi yang mendekonstruksi eksistensi diri, melalui proses dehumanisasi, perempuan terjerembab dalam lubang hitam yang tanpa disadari secara utuh. Walaupun gerakan emansipasi telah berhembus kencang dalam beberapa dekade dewasa ini, akan tetapi perempuan belum sepenuhnya dapat menyuarakan suara nuraninya secara bebas. Kaum perempuan menjadi spoken majority, mayoritas yang diam, tak menggenggam kebebasan menggelorakan aspirasi. Inilah sebentuk sayatan yang menyebabkan luka perempuan sulit tersembuhkan. Bahkan, dalam ruang kapitalisme, perempuan kembali menjadi komoditas yang menguntungkan segelintir pihak. Di jagat iklan, perempuan hanya menjadi obyek untuk menaklukkan pasar komersial. “Tubuh” dan ekspresi perempuan dieksplorasi secara massif untuk memberi berbagai kesan yang mendukung citra iklan. Akan tetapi, penggunaan simbol perempuan dalam ruang gemerlap iklan, belum sepenuhnya menguntungkan kaum hawa. Bahkan, perempuan seakan tertindas secara tidak sadar. Dan, dari keprihatinan semacam ini, buku Manipulasi dan Dehumanisasi dalam Iklan ini lahir. Menurut Kasiyan, sang penulis, di ruang iklan yang merupakan sayap kapitalisme, perempuan menjadi tanda dan komoditas yang bebas digerakkan. Pembentukan citra mengenai tubuh perempuan, menjadi brand image, sebuah produk kecantikan. Pada titik ini, politik pencitraan menemukan muaranya. Simbol tentang kecantikan, tak lagi menjadi multitafsir. Akan tetapi, dimaknai secara subyektif dan membentuk perspektif massa secara menyeluruh. Alih-alih memihak kepentingan perempuan, konstruksi citra semacam ini, pada akhirnya akan menjadikan perempuan sebagai komoditas penting dalam ruang kapitalisme. Dengan demikian, perempuan hanya menjadi sarana yang mengukuhkan kepentingan iklan (hlm. 19).

Abstract

One of the most frequent research topic of procrastination is academic procrastination. Procrastination is a voluntary behavior to delay an action, though she/he has been able to predict that the delay will make things worse. This article examines the behavior of students who put off a number of academic duties until near the deadline for submission of assignments, or until they get awarningre lated totheirinaction. Based on the survey in 2010 at the State Islamic University student, it is found there is a difference in the percentage between male and female students of class 2004/2005. Percentage of male students of procrastination as much as 78.5% while the female studenst who put off her studies as much as 21.5%. It can then be concluded that for the students of class 2004/2005, male students of ten postpone their studies compared with the female ones. the phe nomenon at UIN Sunan Kalijaga is evidence of the achievements of female students in education characterized female students’ ability to complete the study more quickly than male ones. Abstract

Pendidikan Islam pra lahir diterima anak melalui orang tuanya.Prosespendidikan Islam pra lahir sebenarnya telah dimulai sebelum anak diciptakan oleh Sang Pencipta dan berlanjut saat bayi berada dalam kandungan selama fase janin kehamilan. Pendidikan pralahir yang semestinya memberikan tanggung jawab yang adil dan setara bagi kedua orang tua, pada kenyataannya banyak menunjukkan wajah ketidakadilan gender sehingga perempuan menjalani peran berlipat, peran produktif, peran domestik, peran reproduktif dan peran sosialnya. Suami dengan demikian harus berbagi tangungjawab dengan istri dalam menjalani peran tersebut, dengan berbagi melakukan tugas rumah tangga disamping melakukan pendidikan pra lahir seperti membacakan al-Quran, membacakan cerita, memperdengarkan musik atau memberikan sentuhan pada janin. Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to describe the mother’s role in guiding the adjustment of adolescents in the Tanjungkarang Jati Kudus. The research method is qualitative using interviews, observation and documentation for data collection. This study concludes that the role of women (mothers) in guiding adjustment of adolescents lies in: self-direct learning, the importance of education, the importance of keeping themselves in dealing with the opposite sex, the obedience to rules society, the ability to manage time, the responsibility with the use of money, and motivation in overcoming anxiety, conflict and frustration. Abstract

ABSTRACT: In today’s world, the existence of female circumcision is still in debate. It is called voluntary female circumcision or it is also known as Female Genital Mutilation(FGM). Here, female circumcision is often associated with religious teachings and traditions of society that must always be maintained. For some f­eminists, f­emale circumcision is considered as the practice of violence that should be eliminated from society. Community culture and religious traditions that have been more nuanced patriarchal, became the legitimacy of the continuity of this practice. This paper describes some trends of circumcision, implementation of women, the religious dimension, tradition and critical review of this practice. Abstract

The research in the year 2008 reviews the condition of men who have the same-sex desire in view of the islamic students in Kudus, Central Java associated to human rights perspective (HAM). although there were only two gay respondents and the interaction with them was not intensive but the actual number of gays in Kudus like an iceberg, the results showed that in facing the dominant culture, gay closed themselves because they feel marginalized. The responses of the students varied, i.e. : (1) they rejected because according to the message of religion, gay violates Islam, (2) they are indifferent as they do not want to know the affairs of others, (3) they feel pity knowing that being gay is the impact of fury hypersex and irresponsible people and not getting sweet touch of the family.
