Abstract

History records that women pre-Islamic Arabic has revealed their identity and position and glory, so worthy of being a pilot model of world civilization at the time, which in turn is next, Islam encourages. But history in the history also does not deny that Islam (read: the understanding of Islam) in the hands of some “defenders” are also played discrimination of women who then made the bearers of weapons by some groups that Islamic feminism nuanced misoginis (hatred of women). Abstract

Public policy is any selected by the government to do or to not do Unfortunately, many public policies are not good at this stage female friendly formulation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. This study aims to determine the extent to which stakeholders the role of women in the fight for women’s interests in APBDesa Temulus Year 2011. The results of this study indicate that only some women stakeholders that play a role in championing women’s interests at the budget meeting, while some others have contributed to improving the quality of life for women. Some of the constraints faced by stakeholders when mapped into two:internal and external constraints. Internal constraints include a lac kof understanding of the needs of women of women stakeholders, and it faces conflicting roles. Abstract

The presence of women in the media like horns of a dilemma. In one hand women want to show the ability they have and to compete with men professionally. On the other hand, women are often seen only one eye as an object for both men and media. The most private of women’s bodies have finally become pu blic property. The Media tends to reduce the problem of women is merely her body. This article concludes, sexism in the media comes from gender biased views against women in both the public and the media industry through the channel of capitalism. Abstract

Persolan/isu gender merupakan topik sering diperbincangkan, namun tidak banyak yang mengkajinya dari sudut pandang bahasa. Para pakar ilmu bahasa sejak lama sudah tertarik untuk menganalis apakah ada perbedaan antara bahasa laki-laki dan perempuan di lihat dari sudut pandang sosiolinguistik. Beberapa ada yang sepakat bahwa laki-laki dan perempuan berbahasa secara berbeda, tetapi ada juga yang tidak menyetujui pendapat tersebut. Namun ternyata secara luas diterima bahwa laki-laki dan perempuan berbahasa secara berbeda. Anang Santoso, yang merupakan seorang dosen atau staf pengajar di jurusan Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Sastra, Universitas Negeri Malang, adalah salah satu orang yang tertarik menganalisa relasi bahasa dengan gender yaitu tentang “konstruksi ideologi dalam bahasa perempuan” yang merupakan hasil penelitian multi-years selama dua tahun mulai 2006-2008. Kajian terhadap ideologi melalui bahasa perempuan dilakukan agar dapat diketahui bagaimana sebenarnya perempuan melihat dan menafsirkan dunia atau realitas, apa yang dianggap penting dan tidak penting, dan sebagainya.

Abstract

A domestic Worker (PRT) is anyone who works within the scope of the household either male or female, young or old, even a child. Actually, they have given a huge contribution to their family in Indonesia, and donated income for the country. But on top of legal documents, they are not recognized by the Labor Law as an appropriate form of formal employment that deserve to be given protection by the existing laws and regulations. In the Islamic perspective, women and men are required to work in accordance with the potential and capacity in order to obtain a decent living or to meet family needs. Al Quran does not mention a specific job for a certain gender. Women and men can work inside or outside the home. Working as a domestic worker is not lower than other professions as long as conducted by and for the good purpose. Keywords: Domestic Workers (PRT), Islamic Perspectives.

Abstract

Old perception that women only play a role on the domestic sector would be a myth. Women now enter the public sector that embody the dual role. Thus, women need to set the best time in order to create a balance between public and domestic roles. In this case, there is a need for awareness for women given the opportunity to change the structure and culture, both through the social environment and through themselves. This awareness is necessary for social change that makes women independent structurally and culturally by removing the subordination style. Basically men and women have equal position. However, in reality there is often discrimination in wages for women workers (laborers). Wage of women workers are not comparable with the job because there is no justice in the amount that must be accepted. Keywords: Women workers, wages, discrimination

Abstract

Recently we have been showing the emergence of character crisis phenomena in this nation that casused the natinal crisis in multy-dimention. Various aspects of life also responsible for the fragility of personality of this nation. Including the school as an institution that essencially as the medium of character builder. Education to borrow a term of Shapiro (2006) already lost the hearts, because the moral and spiritual dimension has been marginalized. So if the momentum “Education Day” (May 2, 2010), the government declared a “national movement in the nation of character education,” then it needs to be well received, though still in a search model. This brief paper tries to review how the essence of character education and curriculum design as it should be prepared in the perspective of gender justice. This paper concludes that character education is different from the of moral education. If moral education tends to teach the ethical dimensions, good and bad in cognitive level, then character education requires a holistic approach. Character education as confirmed (Lickona, 1991) should include three aspects of knowing, feeling and acting of the good. Therefore, in designing the curriculum needs to consider the three-sphere which is supported by intervention efforts and habituation, starting at the class, school, and family environment. In order for the construction of curricula is not gender-biased, the need to put forward a gender perspective in developing a character education curriculum in all level. Abstract

Many women became heads of house holds temporarily when their husband left work for a certain period in other places at the pre-prosperous family in the countryside This article is photographing gender insight and family management done by women. It concludes that gender insight of rural women is very low even though in some instances they are not consciously implement gender equitable principles such as fair and equitable treatment in assigning children to help with household work. Family manage ment in the financial management conducted by the respondent to sort out the requirements with emphasis on meeting the needs of shelter, clothing and food, although in its simplicity. Self-actualization and fulfillment of religious education is done by actively following the activity in their neighborhood. Gender injustice or discrimination is still common in society. This is caused by misunderstanding of the distinction between the concept of nature or sex and gender. Forms of gender injustice are stereotyping, marginalization, subordination, violence, and the double burden. Abstract

Profesi pelacur merupakan profesi yang penuh dengan stigma negatif dan identik dengan konstruksi sosial yang buruk serta seringkali dikategorisasi sebagai sampah masyarakat. Pelacur kental dengan penistaan, bahkan teror kultural dan struktural. Ragam “tuduhan” menghakimi pelaku profesi ini, dari struktur norma sosial hingga dogma agama, menghujatnya. Bagi agama, pelacur adalah identik dengan hitam, dosa dan neraka. Dunia pelacuran dibaca dengan cara hitam-putih, haram-halal, dosa-pahala, dan pelacur adalah termasuk yang paling hina dari kategorisasi pertama, hitam, haram dan dosa. Sementara bagi norma sosial, pelacur dikategorisasikan sebagai perilaku menyimpang, instabilitas sosial, dan boleh jadi merupakan konstruksi realitas sosial terburuk jika dijajarkan dengan problem sosial lain semisal korupsi, pelacur tetap lebih buruk. Membaca pelacur dalam perspektif dogmatis sebagai “pembangkang” kehendak Tuhan, adalah benar. Tidak ada agama manapun yang menghendaki umatnya terjerembab dalam belenggu pelacuran. Islam menghadiahkan dosa dan ancaman yang begitu ngeri dan seperti tidak ada bandingannya. Sama halnya, manusia dalam konstruk budaya, ekonomi, politik, tidak menghendaki pelacuran sebagai bagian dari realitas sosial. Ingatan kolektif tentang norma dan dogma agama sangat membantu dan bahkan memaksa masyarakat untuk menentukan sikap kolektif pada praktik prostitusi.
