Abstract

Abstract Metacognitive is knowledge and understanding of the cognitive process or knowledge of mind, and it’s work. Metacognitive is needed on solving the problem. Every student has different metacognitive abilities. This research is to describe students metacognitive level on solving chemicals molarity problem. This research was held in SMAN in South Tangerang, by 104 students as the subject research. This research is a quantitative descriptive by the essay results as the data. This result is analyzed, and the metacognitive level is stated based on the indicators. As the results of this research are 14.42% students are in Aware Use level, 73.08% in metacognitive Strategic Use level and 12.50% in metacognitive Reflective Use level. Metacognitive Reflective Use is the level for the high score students. Metacognitive Strategic Use is for middle score students. And metacognitive Aware Use for the low score students. Metacognitive Strategic Use level as the average. Most of the students can use and realized the right strategy on solving problems. Male students have a metacognitive level that is higher than for women. Abstrak Metakognitif adalah pengetahuan dan kesadaran tentang proses kognisi, atau pengetahuan tentang pikiran dan cara kerjanya. Dalam memecahkan masalah kimia, memerlukan keterlibatan metakognitif. Setiap siswa memiliki kemampuan metakognitif yang berbeda-beda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan level metakognitif siswa dalam memecahkan masalah pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri di Tangerang Selatan dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 104 siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif sehingga datanya berupa hasil tes essai. Hasil tes essai tersebut  dianalisis dan ditentukan level metakognitifnya berdasarkan indikator yang telah dibuat. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 14.42 % siswa berada pada level metakognitif Aware Use, sebanyak 73.08 %  siswa berada pada level metakognitif Strategic Use dan sebanyak 12.50 % siswa berada pada level metakognitif Relective Use. Siswa yang memiliki hasil belajar yang tinggi di dalam kelas berada pada level metakognitif Reflective Use. Siswa yang memiliki hasil belajar yang sedang di dalam kelas berada pada level metakognitif Strategic Use. Dan siswa yang memiliki hasil belajar yang rendah di dalam kelas berada pada level metakognitif Aware Use. Rata-rata level metakognitif siswa berada pada level metakognitif Strategic Use, karena rata-rata siswa dapat menggunakan dan menyadari strategi yang tepat dalam menyelesaikan masalah, tidak hanya mampu memahami masalah. Abstract

AbstractThis study investigates Muslim students' experiences at a Catholic university in Mindanao, including their perceptions of institutional support for religious practice and identity construction. A quantitative approach was utilized to gather data via an online survey, employing a snowball sampling technique, which involved 60 Muslim students from diverse academic programs participating in the study. The study assesses satisfaction levels across three primary domains: classroom instruction, co-curricular activities, and extracurricular engagement. The results demonstrate that Muslim students typically report a strong sense of satisfaction regarding their classroom instruction and participation in co-curricular activities. Nonetheless, participation in extracurricular activities garnered lower satisfaction scores, underscoring a disparity between the institution's dedication to inclusivity and the actual experiences of students in more informal social environments. This discrepancy indicates a necessity for focused institutional initiatives aimed at improving inclusion outside of academic environments, especially in extracurricular activities where informal interactions significantly influence student experiences. The findings enhance the discourse surrounding religious pluralism in higher education, highlighting the necessity for organized support systems that reach beyond just academic and co-curricular environments. By enhancing its dedication to inclusive extracurricular programs, the university can cultivate a more comprehensive and fair learning atmosphere. Finally, while the university has demonstrated strengths in promoting religious inclusiveness, resolving extracurricular concerns is critical to ensuring that students from all faith backgrounds feel appreciated and involved.. Abstrakpenelitian ini menyelidiki pengalaman mahasiswa Muslim di sebuah universitas Katolik di Mindanao, termasuk persepsi mereka terhadap dukungan institusional terhadap praktik keagamaan dan pembentukan identitas. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data melalui survei daring dengan teknik snowball sampling, yang melibatkan 60 mahasiswa Muslim dari berbagai program akademik dalam penelitian ini. Studi ini menilai tingkat kepuasan dalam tiga domain utama: pembelajaran di kelas, kegiatan ko-kurikuler, dan keterlibatan dalam kegiatan ekstra-kurikuler.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa Muslim umumnya melaporkan tingkat kepuasan yang tinggi terhadap pengalaman mereka dalam pembelajaran di kelas dan partisipasi dalam kegiatan ko-kurikuler. Namun, keterlibatan dalam kegiatan ekstra-kurikuler memperoleh skor kepuasan yang lebih rendah, menyoroti adanya kesenjangan antara komitmen institusi terhadap inklusivitas dan pengalaman nyata mahasiswa dalam lingkungan sosial yang lebih informal. Disparitas ini mengindikasikan perlunya inisiatif kelembagaan yang lebih terarah untuk meningkatkan inklusi di luar lingkungan akademik, terutama dalam kegiatan ekstra-kurikuler di mana interaksi informal memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap pengalaman mahasiswa.Temuan ini memperkaya diskusi mengenai pluralisme agama dalam pendidikan tinggi, dengan menekankan pentingnya sistem dukungan yang terstruktur dan mencakup lebih dari sekadar lingkungan akademik dan ko-kurikuler. Dengan meningkatkan komitmennya terhadap program ekstra-kurikuler yang inklusif, universitas dapat menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih komprehensif dan adil. Abstract

AbstractIslamic boarding schools (pesantren) as traditional Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia face challenges in integrating digital technology into their learning processes. This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital learning evaluation in the Qur'anic tahfizh program at Insan Mulia Islamic Boarding School (IMBOS) in Pringsewu, Lampung, and assess its impact on educational quality. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observation involving 52 tahfizh teachers (muhafizh/muhafizhah) overseeing 104 study groups (halaqah). Findings reveal that IMBOS has adopted two digital evaluation platforms: (1) a web-based system integrated with a mobile application for attendance monitoring, and (2) a spreadsheet application for assessing memorization progress. Data analysis indicates three key benefits of this technological implementation: enhanced evaluation efficiency through real-time monitoring, improved assessment accuracy via data visualization, and early detection of learning difficulties. These findings reinforce the critical role of digital transformation in improving the effectiveness of tahfizh education while providing a practical model for other Islamic boarding schools to adopt educational technology.AbstrakPesantren sebagai institusi pendidikan Islam tradisional di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi digital dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi evaluasi pembelajaran digital dalam program tahfizh Al-Qur'an di Pondok Pesantren Insan Mulia (IMBOS) Pringsewu, Lampung, serta mengukur dampaknya terhadap kualitas pendidikan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi partisipatif terhadap 52 guru tahfizh (muhafizh/muhafizhah) yang membina 104 kelompok belajar (halaqah). Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa IMBOS mengadopsi dua platform evaluasi digital: (1) sistem web terintegrasi aplikasi mobile untuk monitoring kehadiran, dan (2) aplikasi spreadsheet untuk penilaian pencapaian hafalan. Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa implementasi teknologi ini menghasilkan tiga manfaat utama: peningkatan efisiensi proses evaluasi (real-time monitoring), akurasi penilaian yang lebih baik melalui visualisasi data, serta kemampuan deteksi dini kesulitan belajar. Temuan ini memperkuat argumentasi tentang peran kritis transformasi digital dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pendidikan tahfizh, sekaligus menawarkan model praktis bagi pesantren lain dalam mengadopsi teknologi pendidikan. Abstract

AbstractThis study explores the YukNgaji community’s #LessWaste campaign as a community-driven Islamic ecotheology model. Amid environmental crises requiring sustainable action, the initiative bridges Islamic stewardship (khalifah) and responsibility (amanah) with ecological awareness. Using qualitative methods—virtual ethnography, community-based education theory, and Living Qur’an-Hadith analysis—data were gathered via observations, interviews, and digital content assessment. Results indicate #LessWaste effectively integrates Islamic ecological values through digital activism and offline practices (e.g., waste donation, reusable items). The campaign functions as both an environmental movement and adaptive educational platform, engaging Muslim youth with modern challenges. It highlights hybrid activism’s role in Islamic education, suggesting applicability across diverse Muslim communities. Future studies should test similar frameworks in varied socio-cultural contexts to evaluate sustained behavioral change.AbstrakPenelitian ini mengkaji kampanye #LessWaste komunitas YukNgaji sebagai model ekoteologi Islam berbasis komunitas. Menghadapi krisis lingkungan yang mendesak kebutuhan aksi berkelanjutan, inisiatif ini menghubungkan prinsip stewardship (khalifah) dan tanggung jawab (amanah) dalam Islam dengan kesadaran ekologis. Dengan metode kualitatif—meliputi etnografi virtual, teori pendidikan berbasis komunitas, dan analisis Living Qur’an-Hadith—data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipan, wawancara dengan anggota kunci, dan analisis konten digital. Hasil menunjukkan #LessWaste berhasil mengintegrasikan nilai ekologis Islam melalui aktivisme digital dan praktik offline seperti donasi sampah serta penggunaan barang reusable. Kampanye ini berfungsi ganda sebagai gerakan lingkungan dan platform pendidikan adaptif yang melibatkan generasi muda Muslim dengan isu kontemporer. Temuan menggarisbawahi peran aktivisme hibrid dalam pendidikan Islam serta potensi replikasinya di komunitas Muslim beragam. Abstract

AbstractIslamic Education 4.0 represents a critical response to the challenges and opportunities brought by the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This study fills a research gap in the comparative analysis of Islamic education systems by examining how Indonesia, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia integrate digital technology within their educational systems. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method and a descriptive qualitative approach, this study analyzes 63 scholarly sources published between 2019 and 2025. The results indicate that Malaysia is making progress with structured digital policies and student-centered pedagogy, while Saudi Arabia is leading in artificial intelligence (AI) integration through its Vision 2030 initiative; in contrast, Indonesia continues to face challenges related to infrastructure, digital literacy, and policy implementation. This study suggests a step-by-step plan to improve Islamic education in Indonesia by focusing on building ethical digital skills, updating teaching methods, and preparing institutions better. The study contributes to the discourse on Islamic Education 4.0 by providing a contextual strategic guide to harmonize technological adaptation with Islamic ethical values in today’s digital era.AbstrakPendidikan Islam 4.0 merupakan respons kritis terhadap tantangan dan peluang yang dibawa oleh Revolusi Industri Keempat. Studi ini mengisi kesenjangan penelitian dalam analisis komparatif sistem pendidikan Islam dengan mengkaji bagaimana Indonesia, Malaysia, dan Arab Saudi mengintegrasikan teknologi digital dalam sistem pendidikan mereka. Dengan menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, studi ini menganalisis 63 sumber ilmiah yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2019 hingga 2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Malaysia mengalami kemajuan melalui kebijakan digital yang terstruktur dan pendekatan pedagogi yang berpusat pada siswa, sementara Arab Saudi memimpin dalam integrasi kecerdasan buatan (AI) melalui inisiatif Vision 2030. Sebaliknya, Indonesia masih menghadapi tantangan yang berkaitan dengan infrastruktur, literasi digital, dan implementasi kebijakan. Studi ini mengusulkan rencana bertahap untuk meningkatkan pendidikan Islam di Indonesia dengan menekankan pada pembangunan keterampilan digital yang etis, pembaruan metode pengajaran, dan peningkatan kesiapan institusi. Studi ini berkontribusi pada wacana Pendidikan Islam 4.0 dengan menyediakan panduan strategis kontekstual untuk menyelaraskan adaptasi teknologi dengan nilai-nilai etika Islam di era digital saat ini. Abstract

AbstractHigh-order thinking skills (HOTS) is one of the key competencies in 21st-century education that requires students to be able to think critically, creatively, and solve complex problems. This study aims to assess lecturers' understanding, perceptions, and practices in implementing HOTS-based learning and evaluation in private Islamic higher education institutions (PTKIS) in the KOPERTAIS region I (DKI Jakarta and Banten). This study employed qualitative method with a case study approach. This research utilized two data collection techniques, namely open-ended questionnaires based on Google Forms and document analysis obtained through Semester Learning Plans (RPS) and learning outcome evaluation instruments. The participants in this study were 13 lecturers from PTKIS in the Kopertais region I that were garnered through snowball sampling. The findings of this study uncovered three main areas: lecturers’ understanding of HOTS concepts, implementation of HOTS in teaching, and the relevance of evaluation instruments to HOTS. Based on these three categories, the findings suggest that some lecturers have a good understanding of HOTS concepts, but there are also some who are unable to effectively apply these concepts in teaching and developing HOTS-based evaluation instruments. This study also signifies the importance of aligning the understanding, implementation, and the development of HOTS-based instruments to create high-quality learning. AbstrakKeterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (Higher Order Thinking Skills/HOTS) merupakan salah satu kompetensi kunci dalam pendidikan abad ke-21 yang menuntut peserta didik untuk mampu berpikir kritis, kreatif, dan memecahkan masalah kompleks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai pemahaman, persepsi, dan praktik dosen dalam mengimplementasikan pembelajaran dan evaluasi berbasis HOTS di Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Swasta (PTKIS) wilayah KOPERTAIS I (DKI Jakarta dan Banten). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi kuesioner terbuka berbasis Google Forms dan analisis dokumen yang diperoleh dari Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS) serta instrumen evaluasi hasil belajar. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 13 dosen PTKIS di wilayah Kopertais I yang dipilih melalui teknik snowball sampling. Temuan penelitian ini mengungkapkan tiga fokus utama: pemahaman dosen terhadap konsep HOTS, implementasi HOTS dalam pengajaran, dan relevansi instrumen evaluasi terhadap HOTS. Berdasarkan ketiga kategori tersebut, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian dosen memiliki pemahaman yang baik tentang konsep HOTS, namun masih ada yang belum mampu menerapkan konsep tersebut secara efektif dalam pengajaran maupun pengembangan instrumen evaluasi berbasis HOTS. Studi ini juga menegaskan pentingnya penyelarasan antara pemahaman, implementasi, dan pengembangan instrumen berbasis HOTS guna menciptakan pembelajaran yang berkualitas.

Abstract

AbstractDespite the increasing adoption of technology in education, Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) remain underexplored in terms of sustainable digital integration aligned with Islamic values. This study offers a comprehensive exploration of technology-based learning innovations within pesantren, examining how these innovations enhance pedagogical effectiveness while integrating principles of Islamic education management. Conducted as an in-depth qualitative case study across three pesantren in East Java, data were gathered through interviews, classroom observations, and documentation analysis. The study identified three core innovations: the use of digital learning media, the implementation of e-learning platforms, and the integration of mobile applications. These approaches have positively impacted student motivation, learning flexibility, and teacher-student engagement. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure and inadequate digital literacy among educators persist. Findings underscore the need for systematic teacher training, infrastructure investment, and culturally relevant digital leadership to ensure sustainable transformation. The study contributes to both academic discourse and practical policy development by offering context-specific recommendations for integrating technology in pesantren education without compromising core Islamic values.AbstrakMeskipun adopsi teknologi dalam pendidikan semakin meningkat, pondok pesantren masih relatif kurang dieksplorasi terkait integrasi digital yang berkelanjutan dan selaras dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Studi ini menawarkan eksplorasi komprehensif tentang inovasi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi di lingkungan pesantren, dengan menelaah bagaimana inovasi-inovasi tersebut meningkatkan efektivitas pedagogis sekaligus mengintegrasikan prinsip-prinsip manajemen pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai studi kasus kualitatif mendalam pada tiga pesantren di Jawa Timur, dengan data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi kelas, dan analisis dokumentasi. Studi ini mengidentifikasi tiga inovasi utama: penggunaan media pembelajaran digital, implementasi platform e-learning, dan integrasi aplikasi berbasis mobile. Pendekatan-pendekatan ini berdampak positif terhadap motivasi peserta didik, fleksibilitas belajar, serta interaksi guru dan siswa. Temuan penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pelatihan guru yang sistematis, investasi infrastruktur, dan kepemimpinan digital yang relevan secara kultural untuk memastikan transformasi yang berkelanjutan. Abstract

AbstractIslamic boarding schools (pesantren) as traditional Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia face challenges in integrating digital technology into their learning processes. This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital learning evaluation in the Qur'anic tahfizh program at Insan Mulia Islamic Boarding School (IMBOS) in Pringsewu, Lampung, and assess its impact on educational quality. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observation involving 52 tahfizh teachers (muhafizh/muhafizhah) overseeing 104 study groups (halaqah). Findings reveal that IMBOS has adopted two digital evaluation platforms: (1) a web-based system integrated with a mobile application for attendance monitoring, and (2) a spreadsheet application for assessing memorization progress. Data analysis indicates three key benefits of this technological implementation: enhanced evaluation efficiency through real-time monitoring, improved assessment accuracy via data visualization, and early detection of learning difficulties. These findings reinforce the critical role of digital transformation in improving the effectiveness of tahfizh education while providing a practical model for other Islamic boarding schools to adopt educational technology.AbstrakPesantren sebagai institusi pendidikan Islam tradisional di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi digital dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi evaluasi pembelajaran digital dalam program tahfizh Al-Qur'an di Pondok Pesantren Insan Mulia (IMBOS) Pringsewu, Lampung, serta mengukur dampaknya terhadap kualitas pendidikan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi partisipatif terhadap 52 guru tahfizh (muhafizh/muhafizhah) yang membina 104 kelompok belajar (halaqah). Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa IMBOS mengadopsi dua platform evaluasi digital: (1) sistem web terintegrasi aplikasi mobile untuk monitoring kehadiran, dan (2) aplikasi spreadsheet untuk penilaian pencapaian hafalan. Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa implementasi teknologi ini menghasilkan tiga manfaat utama: peningkatan efisiensi proses evaluasi (real-time monitoring), akurasi penilaian yang lebih baik melalui visualisasi data, serta kemampuan deteksi dini kesulitan belajar. Temuan ini memperkuat argumentasi tentang peran kritis transformasi digital dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pendidikan tahfizh, sekaligus menawarkan model praktis bagi pesantren lain dalam mengadopsi teknologi pendidikan. Abstract

AbstractThis study explores the YukNgaji community’s #LessWaste campaign as a community-driven Islamic ecotheology model. Amid environmental crises requiring sustainable action, the initiative bridges Islamic stewardship (khalifah) and responsibility (amanah) with ecological awareness. Using qualitative methods—virtual ethnography, community-based education theory, and Living Qur’an-Hadith analysis—data were gathered via observations, interviews, and digital content assessment. Results indicate #LessWaste effectively integrates Islamic ecological values through digital activism and offline practices (e.g., waste donation, reusable items). The campaign functions as both an environmental movement and adaptive educational platform, engaging Muslim youth with modern challenges. It highlights hybrid activism’s role in Islamic education, suggesting applicability across diverse Muslim communities. Future studies should test similar frameworks in varied socio-cultural contexts to evaluate sustained behavioral change.AbstrakPenelitian ini mengkaji kampanye #LessWaste komunitas YukNgaji sebagai model ekoteologi Islam berbasis komunitas. Menghadapi krisis lingkungan yang mendesak kebutuhan aksi berkelanjutan, inisiatif ini menghubungkan prinsip stewardship (khalifah) dan tanggung jawab (amanah) dalam Islam dengan kesadaran ekologis. Dengan metode kualitatif—meliputi etnografi virtual, teori pendidikan berbasis komunitas, dan analisis Living Qur’an-Hadith—data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipan, wawancara dengan anggota kunci, dan analisis konten digital. Hasil menunjukkan #LessWaste berhasil mengintegrasikan nilai ekologis Islam melalui aktivisme digital dan praktik offline seperti donasi sampah serta penggunaan barang reusable. Kampanye ini berfungsi ganda sebagai gerakan lingkungan dan platform pendidikan adaptif yang melibatkan generasi muda Muslim dengan isu kontemporer. Temuan menggarisbawahi peran aktivisme hibrid dalam pendidikan Islam serta potensi replikasinya di komunitas Muslim beragam. Abstract

Abstract Despite the increasing adoption of technology in education, Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) remain underexplored in terms of sustainable digital integration aligned with Islamic values. This study offers a comprehensive exploration of technology-based learning innovations within pesantren, examining how these innovations enhance pedagogical effectiveness while integrating principles of Islamic education management. Conducted as an in-depth qualitative case study across three pesantren in East Java, data were gathered through interviews, classroom observations, and documentation analysis. The study identified three core innovations: the use of digital learning media, the implementation of e-learning platforms, and the integration of mobile applications. These approaches have positively impacted student motivation, learning flexibility, and teacher-student engagement. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure and inadequate digital literacy among educators persist. Findings underscore the need for systematic teacher training, infrastructure investment, and culturally relevant digital leadership to ensure sustainable transformation. The study contributes to both academic discourse and practical policy development by offering context-specific recommendations for integrating technology in pesantren education without compromising core Islamic values. Abstrak Meskipun adopsi teknologi dalam pendidikan semakin meningkat, pondok pesantren masih relatif kurang dieksplorasi terkait integrasi digital yang berkelanjutan dan selaras dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Studi ini menawarkan eksplorasi komprehensif tentang inovasi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi di lingkungan pesantren, dengan menelaah bagaimana inovasi-inovasi tersebut meningkatkan efektivitas pedagogis sekaligus mengintegrasikan prinsip-prinsip manajemen pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai studi kasus kualitatif mendalam pada tiga pesantren di Jawa Timur, dengan data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi kelas, dan analisis dokumentasi. Studi ini mengidentifikasi tiga inovasi utama: penggunaan media pembelajaran digital, implementasi platform e-learning, dan integrasi aplikasi berbasis mobile. Pendekatan-pendekatan ini berdampak positif terhadap motivasi peserta didik, fleksibilitas belajar, serta interaksi guru dan siswa. Namun demikian, tantangan seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur dan literasi digital pendidik yang belum memadai masih menjadi hambatan. Temuan penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pelatihan guru yang sistematis, investasi infrastruktur, dan kepemimpinan digital yang relevan secara kultural untuk memastikan transformasi yang berkelanjutan.
