Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa dalam pembelajaran model Project-Based Learning menggunakan pendekatan Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penelitian dilakukan pada siswa kelas 5 Sekolah Dasar Negeri Puren, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa tes kemampuan komunikasi matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran Project-Based Learning terintegrasi STEM dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa dalam tiga aspek yang diteliti, yaitu menghubungkan ide matematis berdasarkan gambar maupun representasi matematika yang relevan, menggunakan gambar maupun representasi matematis yang sesuai untuk menyampaikan ide matematis, dan menggunakan bahasa matematika untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan matematis. Selain itu, sebanyak 78,125% siswa termasuk dalam ketegori tuntas berdasarkan KKM yang digunakan pada kelas penelitian.

Abstract

Reasoning and Proof ability are one of the five standards in NCTM. Its implementation in learning can be transformed into problem-based learning (PBL). The purpose of this study is to provide a description related to the internalization of Reasoning and Proof standards in the mathematics learning process in elementary schools. The type of research used is qualitative with descriptive analysis. The research subjects were 24 elementary school teachers in Cluster IV Mataram City. The data collection process was carried out by a survey method that was conducted online using the Google form platform. To strengthen the results of the questionnaire, interviews were also conducted via WhatsApp phone to each research subject. The results of the research showed that 45.8% (11 subjects) had never heard of the terms reasoning and proof, while 54.2% (13 subjects) had never heard of the terms reasoning and proof. The deepening of the results of this study found that the feasibility of Reasoning and Proof standards in learning was still not optimal. In addition, several interesting facts were found related to the method of proof that teachers often use, namely giving examples that are close to students (relate).

Abstract

Pada masa pandemi covid 19 pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara online dengan memanfaatkan e-learning. Multimodal model merupakan komponen pokok dalam pembelajaran online, yang meliputi konten, sosial emosional, tanya jawab, refleksi dan evaluasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektifitas penerapan multimodal model melalui e-learning pada pembelajaran geometri bidang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester 1 program studi pendidikan matematika sebanyak 63 mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi, observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan multimodal model efektif dalam pembelajaran geometri bidang. Komponen multimodal model meliputi konten, tanya jawab, sosial emosional, evaluasi dan refleksi dapat terlaksana dengan baik melalui e-learning. Penerapan multimodal model melalui e-learning membutuhkan aplikasi pendukung agar dapat optimal dalam pelaksanaannya, terutama pada komponen sosial emosional dan tanya jawab. selain itu, penerapan multimodal model dapat menumbuhkan kreatifitas dosen dalam menciptakan media yang mendukung pembelajaran online, seperti video berbasis powerpoint dan audio.Kata Kunci: E-learning; geometri bidang; multimodal model; pandemi covid 19. AbstractDuring the Covid 19 pandemic, learning was carried out online by utilizing e-learning. The multimodal model is a key component in online learning, which includes content, social emotional, question and answer, reflection and evaluation. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the application of the multimodal model through e-learning in field geometry learning. This type of research is descriptive. The research subjects were the first semester students of the mathematics education study program, totaling 63 students. Collecting data using documentation techniques, observation and tests. The results showed that the application of the multimodal model was effective in learning field geometry. The multimodal components of the model including content, question and answer, social emotional, evaluation and reflection can be carried out well through e-learning. The application of the multimodal model through e-learning requires supporting applications so that it can be optimal in its implementation, especially in the social emotional component and question and answer. In addition, the application of the multimodal model can foster the creativity of lecturers in creating media that supports online learning, such as powerpoint-based videos and audio.Keywords: Covid-19 pandemic; e-learning; field geometry; multimodal.

Abstract

Analytical thinking is an ability to observe objects thoroughly and solve facts comprehensively. This study is set to describe students' analytical thinking processes in solving mathematical problems, especially in quadratic functions. It employs a qualitative approach with qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in this study are one student with high mathematics ability, one student with medium mathematics ability, and one student with low mathematics ability of Tenth Grade of State Islamic Senior High School 3 Tulungagung. Data collection are carried out through task-based interviews. Meanwhile, data analysis technique are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it is concluded that (1) The student with high mathematical ability pass several stages, namely differentiating, and organizing, he/he can solve the quadratic function problem properly according to the problem solving steps. (2) The student with medium mathematical ability can go through differentiating and organizing stages. But at the attributing stage, he/she are less able to solve problems based on the objectives.  (3) The student with low mathematical ability tends not to pass differentiating, organizing, and attributing analytical thinking stages. He/she are less able to solve quadratic function problems according to the solving steps.Keywords: Analytical thinking process; problem solving; quadratic functions

Abstract

The creative Thinking Ability in Elementary School Mathematics Problem Solving. The purpose of this research is how to know the quality of learning used and how to find out the creative thinking ability in student problem solving. The subjects of this classroom action research were all fourth grade students of SDN Candirejo 01, West Ungaran District, Semarang Regency, 2020/2021 academic year. This research is a qualitative research. The results of this research indicate that 1) The learning quality shows good; 2) The creative thinking ability in solving mathematical problems is analyzed by paying attention to 3 criteria, such as fluency, flexibility, and novelty. Based on the discussion that has been done by researchers on 10 research subjects.

Abstract

The writing of this article is a survey research with the aim of knowing the relationship between mathematical disposition and self-efficacy of PGSD/ PGMI students in universities throughout Indonesia. This study used a total of 37 public and private universities with 357 students using questionnaire data collection techniques. The data obtained were analyzed using quantitative descriptive. In addition, data analysis used Spearman's Rho. The results explained that the mathematical disposition with self-efficacy of PGSD / PGMI students in Indonesia based on the average questionnaire filling reached a correlation coefficient of 0.612 which was included in the very strong category. Sig. Value (2-tailed) obtained 0,000 which is smaller than 0.01 which means that there is a significant relationship between mathematical disposition variables and self-efficacy. This caused a strong positive relationship between mathematical disposition and student self-efficacy. AbstrakPenulisan artikel ini merupakan penelitian survei dengan tujuan mengetahui hubungan disposisi matematis dan self-efficacy mahasiswa PGSD/PGMI yang berada di Universitas se-Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan subjek yang berjumlah 37 universitas negeri dan swasta dengan 357 mahasiswa dengan tekhnik pengumpulan data penyebaran angket. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Selain itu, analisis data menggunakan Spearman’s Rho. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa disposisi matematis dengan self-efficacy mahasiswa PGSD/PGMI yang berada di Indonesia berdasarkan rata-rata pengisian angket mencapai koefisien korelasi 0.612 yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat kuat. Nilai Sig. (2-tailed) didapat 0.000 yang lebih kecil dari 0.01 yang memiliki makna bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan antara variabel disposisi matematis dengan self-efficacy. Hal tersebut menyebabkan hubungan positif yang kuat antara disposisi matematis dengan self-efficacy mahasiswa.

Abstract

This research explained prospective teacher beliefs and the relationship between beliefs and practice of learning mathematics in the classroom in terms of differences in adversity quotient (AQ). Three prospective teacher who each had different AQ, namely climber, camper and quitter, were the subjects in this research. This subject has good communication skills, has passed microteaching and has no experience in teaching mathematics in schools. The research data were collected through interviews and classroom observation. Two interviews and learning observations for each research subject were carried out to obtain credible research data. Videos from interviews and video practice of learning mathematics in class were played repeatedly to increase the researcher's persistence in obtaining research data. The data that had been obtained were coded, reduced, triangulated, and analyzed to describe beliefs and implementations of beliefs in learning practices. The results showed that there were differences in beliefs between climber, camper and quitter students. The beliefs held by each student are actually applied in the practice of learning mathematics in the classroom. This shows that there is a high degree of consistency between beliefs and the practice of learning carried out.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa SMA ditinjau dari self efficacy khususnya pada materi matriks. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dimana data utama pada penelitian ini adalah hasil tes pemahaman konsep matematika, angket self efficacy dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa dengan self efficacy tinggi, sedang dan rendah yang kemudian diberi tes pemahaman konsep matematika. Penelitian dilakukan dengan wawancara terhadap hasil tes siswa dan melakukan triangulasi metode. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep matematika siswa dengan self efficacy tinggi sudah baik dengan menguasai indikator pemahaman konsep yaitu menyatakan ulang sebuah konsep, mengklasifikasi objek menurut sifat-sifat tertentu, menyajikan konsep dalam berbagai bentuk representasi matematis, menjelaskan keterkaitan antara konsep satu dengan konsep lainnya dan menerapkan konsep dalam pemecahan masalah. Sedangkan siswa dengan self efficacy sedang menguasai indikator menyatakan ulang sebuah konsep, mengklasifikasi objek menurut sifat-sifat tertentu dan menyajikan konsep dalam berbagai bentuk representasi matematis. Dan siswa dengan self efficacy rendah hanya menguasai indikator menyatakan ulang sebuah konsep.Kata kunci: Pemahaman konsep matematika; self efficacy. AbstractThe purpose of this study is to describe the understanding mathematics concepts of senior high school students' in term of self-efficacy, especially in matrix. This study is descriptive qualitative that the main data of this study are test, questionnaire, and interview. The research subjects is senior high school students’ with many categories such as high, medium, and low in self-efficacy. Then, the researcher give test about the understanding mathematics concepts. The researcher is doing interview and triangulation method to the students. The results of this study indicate that the students' understanding of mathematics concepts with high self-efficacy is good by mastering the conceptual understanding indicators, such as restating a concept, classifying the objects according to specific categories, presenting concepts in various forms of mathematics representation, explaining the relationship between one concept and another concept and applying some concepts in problem solving. Meanwhile, the students with medium self-efficacy are mastering indicators of restating a concept, classifying the objects according to specific categories and presenting concepts in various forms of mathematics representations, and the students with low self-efficacy are only mastering the indicator of restating a concept.Keywords: Self efficacy; understanding of mathematics concepts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik ditinjau dari tipe kepribadian guardian dan gender. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Purwodadi tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VIII I dengan tipe kepribadian guardian, kemudian dipilih 2 peserta didik perempuan dan 2 peserta didik laki-laki menggunakan purposive sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, angket, tes dan wawancara. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah teknik triangulasi dengan membandingkan hasil tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan wawancara. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian memberikan gambaran bahwa (1) subjek perempuan berkepribadian guardian memenuhi tiga indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis yaitu menulis matematis, menggambar secara sistematis dan ekspresi matematis, dari ketiga indikator yang terpenuhi peserta didik perempuan  menuliskan ide-ide matematika dengan sistematis, mengilustrasikan gambar sesuai permasalahan dengan rapi dan dapat merencanakan model matematika dalam  menyelesaikan permasalahan. (2) subjek laki-laki berkepribadian guardian memenuhi tiga indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis, namun dalam menuliskan langkah-langkah ide matematis tidak berurutan, tidak rapi dalam mengilustrasikan gambar dari suatu permasalahan tetapi dapat menyelesaikan masalah dengan benar dan tepat sesuai perencanaan yang dibuat.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic, which has an impact on the application of online learning, requires teachers to find the right learning methods and strategies. In this study, researchers used RealQu, an application created using Figma and Android Studio. By using RealQu, the Real Analysis learning that is carried out is expected to be able to maximize students' mathematical proof abilities based on the adversity quotient. The research method used is development research which produces a product called RealQu which can be installed on Android-based phones. From the trial results, it was concluded that RealQu could then be used in Real Analysis lectures that still used the system in the network. There is an increase in students' abilities in the quitter, camper, and climber categories.
