This research is motivated by the low mathematical problem solving ability of students, where most people blame the learning model while there are many factors that influence this, one of which is students' self-confidence. This study aims to determine the differences in students' mathematical communication skills in terms of self-confidence. This type of research is an expost facto study and was conducted at MTs Negeri 2 Kolaka using a sample of 48 students. From the results of the analysis carried out, the average problem-solving ability of students is 50.94 which if converted in table 2 then the value is in the less category. Furthermore, from the inferential analysis obtained > so that it can be concluded that there are significant differences in mathematical problem solving abilities between students with very high, high, medium and low Self Confidence. From the results of further analysis, it was concluded that students with very high self-confidence would have better problem-solving abilities than other students

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis berbagai kemungkinan kesalahan yang dapat dialami mahasiswa calon guru ketika mempelajari konsep aljabar serta memberikan pengetahuan terkait strategi pencegahannya bagi calon guru matematika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah wawancara yang melibatkan 16 responden calon guru matematika. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi teknik dengan cara membandingkan jawaban berdasarkan hasil tes dan hasil wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan data bahwa kesalahan konsep yang dilakukan mahasiswa dalam mempelajari konsep variabel diantaranya ialah kesalahan dalam mengidentifikasi x0 merupakan sebuah variabel, kegagalan dalam memahami konsep variabel (dalam kasus ini x diartikan sebagai kotak pensil ataupun pensil, sedangkan yang diharapkan adalah jumlah pensil dalam kotak), serta kegagalan dalam mengembangkan pemahaman konsep yang dimiliki (dalam hal ini tidak mampu membuat situasi yang sesuai dengan model matematika , sedangkan seharusnya bisa menggunakan situasi luas suatu bidang segi empat dengan panjang (x+3) dan lebar (x-2). Strategi pencegahan dengan meningkatkan kemampuan TPACK calon guru yaitu dengan memberikan soal berjenjang mulai dari tingkatan mengetahui, memahami konsep hingga mengembangkan pengetahuan konsep yang dimiliki.Kata kunci: Aljabar, Kesalahan konsep, TPACK Abstract The purpose of this study is to analyze the various possible errors that can be experienced by students when learning algebraic concepts and provide knowledge regarding prevention strategies for prospective mathematics teachers. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The instrument used was an interview involving 16 prospective mathematics teacher respondents. Test the validity of the data using triangulation techniques by comparing answers based on test results and interview results. The results showed that the data that the students had conceptualized errors in studying the concept of variables included errors in identifying x0 as a variable, failure in understanding the concept of variables (in this case x is defined as a pencil or pencil box, while what is expected is the number of pencils in a box). , as well as the failure to develop an understanding of the concepts they have (in this case unable to make a situation that is in accordance with the mathematical model x^2+x-6, while it should be able to use the situation of the area of a rectangular area with length (x+3) and width ( x-2) The strategy for prevention is to increase the teacher's TPACK ability, namely by providing tiered questions starting from the level of knowing, understanding concepts to developing conceptual knowledge. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan peningkatan hasil belajar matematika setelah penerapan model pembelajaran Flipped Classroom dan STAD. Jenis penelitian yang dipakai adalah penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen semu (Quasi-Experimental). Sampel penelitian sebanyak 2 kelas yang penerapannya dengan model pembelajaran Flipped Classroom dan STAD. Data dikumpulkan dari hasil tes pada materi statistika. Analisis yang dipakai yaitu Regresi Probit. Berdasarkan analisis data dengan regresi probit diperoleh peluang keberhasilan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik menggunakan STAD 17,4% lebih tinggi daripada model pembelajaran Flipped Classroom. STAD merupakan model pembelajaran yang dapat melatih peserta didik untuk berkomunikasi, berinteraksi, bekerja didalam kelompok dan bertukar pikiran dengan orang lain, sehingga dapat mengatasi beberapa kesulitan dalam proses pembelajaran.

AbstrakKomunikasi matematika merupakan kemampuan yang harus dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Tanpa komunikasi dalam matematika, maka hanya akan ada sedikit keterangan, data, dan fakta dalam melakukan proses dan aplikasi matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan siswa pada setiap indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematika dengan subjek siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri Karimun sebanyak 16 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif yang mendeskripsikan kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal prisma dan limas Data dari hasil tes yang dilakukan yaitu berupa hasil belajar siswa yang pengumpulan datanya menggunakan instrumen berupa tes uraian. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data berupa hasil tes yang diberikan kepada siswa dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa letak kesalahan siswa pada kemampuan komunikasi matematika dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal prisma dan limas yaitu (1) kesalahan dalam memahami representasi gambar; (2) kesalahan dalam memahami makna dari gambar; dan (3) kesalahan prosedur tidak tepat. Kata Kunci: Analisis; Kesalahan; Komunikasi Matematika. AbstractMathematical communication is an ability that must be developed in learning mathematics. Without communication in mathematics, there will be little information, data, and facts in carrying out mathematical processes and applications. This study aims to describe students' errors in each indicator of mathematical communication skills with 16 students as the subject of class VIII MTs Negeri Karimun. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach that describes students' errors in solving prism questions and five. Data from the test results in the form of student learning outcomes were collected using an instrument in the form of a description test. Based on data analysis in the form of test results given to students, it can be concluded that students' errors in mathematical communication skills in solving prism and five problems are (1) errors in understanding image representation; (2) errors in understanding the meaning of the picture; and (3) improper procedural error. AbstractOnline learning is a solution given to overcome the difficulty of direct teaching and learning due to social restrictions in the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of online learning on the learning abilities of students at the institute of management science SUKMA Medan in the statistics course. This type of research is quantitative. The data collection technique in this study used research instruments, then the data were analyzed to test the hypothesis that had been determined using simple linear regression analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive influence of online learning on the learning abilities of students at the institute of management science SUKMA Medan in statistics courses by 68%, while the other 38% are influenced by other factors, such as environmental factors, psychological conditions or factors that are not studied.

This study investigates the process of forming Anna’s visual and symbolic representations at each stage of the development of relational understanding in solving fractional problems. This study focuses on Anna (pseudonym), a 4th-grade elementary school student in Sidoarjo Regency. Anna possessed the complete process of forming visual and symbolic representations and is the only student who is able to provide logical arguments to support her answer. This research is qualitative in nature with a case study. The results were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model by reducing the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions. Results show the process of forming Anna’s visual and symbolic representations at each stage of the development of relational understanding in solving fractional problems. Anna has difficulty forming visual representations because she has weaknesses in the concept of fractional equations and fractional operations. This resulted in the process of forming symbolic representations and procedural knowledge that tends to be rote. These findings indicate that Anna developed a relational understanding, namely, a conceptual understanding of fractions. The process of forming a visual representation is the main basis before the formation of a symbolic representation.

AbstrakMasalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 1 Metro Barat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh yang signifikan pada model blended learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu eksperimen semu dengan desain non-equivalent control group design. Populasi berjumlah 36 orang peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh berjumlah 36 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan soal tes uraian mata pelajaran matematika. Analisis data menggunakan uji regresi sederhana. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penerapan model blended learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 1 Metro Barat dengan Fhitung>Ftabel serta terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dengan kategori “Sedang”. The purpose of this trsearch is to determine the significant effect on the application of the blended learning models to the critical thinking skills mathematic. This type of research is quasi experimental research with the design used is non-equivalent control group design. The study population was 36 students and use the sample was saturated. The instrument used was the mathematics subject description test questions. Data analysis techniques using a simple regression test. The result showed there was a significant influence on the application of blended learning models on critical thinking skills mathematic of grade v students elementary school 1 West Metro with Fcount>Ftable and there was an increase in student’s critical thinking skills which the criteria of “Medium”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengahasilkan video pembelajaran berbasis geogebra yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model Plomp yang terdari atas lima fase, yaitu investigasi awal; desain; konstruksi; uji produk, evaluasi, dan revisi; dan implementasi. Video hasil produksi digunakan sebagai sumber belajar dalam kelas virtual google classroom. Video pembelajaran divalidasi oleh dua orang ahli dengan melakukan penilaian pada aspek kelayakan isi dan kelayakan tampilan. Hasil validasi menyatakan video pembelajaran valid dengan kategori sangat baik. Video diimplementasikan sebagai sumber belajar pada proses pembelajaran secara virtual di SMPN 6 Buton tengah. Respon siswa terhadap penggunaan video sangat positif. Hasil angket respon siswa menunjukkan video sangat praktis. Penerapan video berdampak positif terhadap capaian hasil belajar siswa. video pembelajaran berbasis geogebra memudahkan siswa dalam memvisualisasikan gambar tiga dimensi sehingga meningkatkan pemahaman terhadap konsep bangun ruang. Hasil penilaian efektifitas menyatakan video sangat efektif.

Problems similar to PISA with the theme of hollow iron are used as a helping instrument to see how students' problem solving abilities are. In accordance with the PISA research, the subjects of this study were 8th graders of junior high school in Karanganyar Regency, Indonesia with an age range of 15-16 years. In addition to tests, other auxiliary instruments are interview guidelines where the data obtained from the two instruments are compared so that the data obtained are truly valid. Subjects were selected by means of snowball sampling until the data obtained were considered sufficient by the key instrument, namely the researcher himself. Through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification, the results show that students with high abilities can identify problems well, formulate a settlement plan with simple procedures, execute plans in a coherent and clear manner, and re-examine the components involved. considered dubious. Students with moderate abilities tend not to be careful in identifying information which results in discrepancies in the answers obtained. while students with low abilities find it difficult to solve non-routine problems and tend not to try to think of better solutions.

Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat kecemasan matematis mahasiswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran online dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran offline. Subjek penelitian ini diambil menggunakan secara purposive dengan melibatkan mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Lampung semester genap pada tahun akademik 2019/2020. Data dikumpulkan melalui skala kecemasan matematis dan pedoman wawancara. Analisis data penelitian ini meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, diperoleh simpulan bahwa (1) tingkat kecemasan matematis mahasiswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran online lebih tinggi dibandingkan pembelajaran offline dan (2) pada aspek kognitif dan afektif, tingkat kecemasan matematis mahasiswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran online lebih tinggi dibandingkan pembelajaran offline. Pada aspek fisiologis, tingkat kecemasan matematis mahasiswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran offline lebih tinggi dibandingkan pembelajaran online. Hasil penelitian menjadi masukan dalam merancang pembelajaran yang mampu meminimalisasi kecemasan matematis mahasiswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran online.This qualitative descriptive study was conducted with the aim of describing students' mathematical anxiety levels in participating in online learning compared to offline learning. The subjects of this study were taken using purposive by involving students of the Mathematics Education, FKIP Universitas Lampung, even semesters in the academic year of 2019/2020. Data were collected through mathematical anxiety scale and interview guidelines. The data analysis of this research includes data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. Based on the results of research and discussion, it is concluded that (1) the level of mathematical anxiety of students who take online learning is higher than offline learning, (2) on the cognitive and affective aspects, the level of mathematical anxiety of students who take online learning is higher than offline learning. On the physiological aspect, the level of mathematical anxiety of students taking offline learning is higher than online learning. The results of this research become input in designing learning that is able to minimize students' mathematical anxiety in participating in online learning.
