Abstract

This study aims to find out the validity and practicality of mathematics e-module based on the “Liveworksheets” website as the students’ independent learning material in this pandemic era of COVID-19.  This study is a Research and Development (R&D) employing a 4D developmental model. The assessment of the product was conducted based on the validity and practical aspects. The data were obtained from the expert validation to assess the validity, and the teacher's and students’ questionnaires to assess the practicality. The validity was assessed by 3 experts of material and media aspects. Meanwhile, the practicality was assessed by involving 25 tenth-grade students and 2 mathematics teachers of SMA Negeri 8 Kota Pontianak. The results of the study showed that 1) based on the expert validation, this e-module was categorized as very valid for material aspect and as valid for media aspect, 2) based on the questionnaire for assessing the practicality, it showed that this e-module was very practical to use based on students’ responses and as practical based on the teachers’ responses. Viewed from the results of validity and practicality assessment, this e-module based on the “Liveworksheets” website is able to be used as an independent learning material in this pandemic era of COVID-19

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study, which aims to see the ability of students' conceptual understanding and errors made in solving story problems on fractional material using the Newman procedure. The subjects of this research were the fifth grade students in SD Negeri in Lalolae totaling 54 students. The instrument used in this study was an essay test which was developed and tested for feasibility. From the results of the research, from 54 students of the research subjects, the average value of students' conceptual understanding ability was 41.48 or in the low category. From the results of the categorization of students' conceptual understanding abilities, the majority of the students have concept understanding abilities in the low and very low categories with 74% in total. Furthermore, from the results of student error analysis using the Newman procedure, the students made 215 errors and the most errors made by students were Comprehension errors

Abstract

Mental retardation certainly has a different thought process from other normal children. Because it is different, there needs to be a study of the thought process with the aim of finding a solution to overcome the problems that are often faced by mentally retarded students in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to describe the thought process of mentally retarded students in understanding geometric concepts based on Piaget's theory. The subjects of this study were two mentally retarded students who were in class VI. The stages of the research carried out were carrying out a learning process for three consecutive days to recognize geometry using visual aids then at the end of the activity, mentally retarded students were given evaluation questions in the form of make a match. The results showed that the two mentally retarded students experienced disequilibrium several times until they finally experienced the process of assimilation and accommodation. However, only one student experienced equilibrium who was able to connect flat figures and spatial figures based on the results of their observations. The learning process for mentally retarded students must be repeated until they arrive at an understanding of mathematics.

Abstract

Ujian sekolah merupakan tahap akhir seorang siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Di tahap ini, seorang siswa akan ditentukan kelulusannya dengan cara melihat salah satu nilai mata pelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik butir soal tes matematika dalam instrumen penilaian Ujian Sekolah yang dibuat oleh tim Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP). Analisis butir soal untuk membuktikan validitas isi, mengecek estimasi reliabilitas, tingkat kesulitan, daya pembeda soal, dan untuk mengidentifikasi kategori soal yang memiliki nilai rendah, sedang dan tinggi, serta menganalisis faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan item soal-soal tersebut sulit bagi siswa. Validitas content butir instrumen penilaian Ujian Sekolah dihitung menggunakan rumus Forumula Aiken dengan melibatkan 3 orang ahli pada bidang matematika, dilanjutkan dengan validitas konstruk menggunakan analisis faktor eksploratori (exploratoty factor analysis, EFA), sedangkan untuk reliabilitas dihitung dengan rumus KR-20. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 125 orang yang diambil dari siswa SMA Negeri dan swasta di Kabupaten Tasikmlaya, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui hasil jawaban siswa yang dibandingkan dengan kunci jawaban Ujian Sekolah. Analisis data kuantitatif dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Classical Test Theory (CTT) dan Item Response Theory (IRT) model Rasch. Analisis data kualitatif dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal tes dengan kategori sulit. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa estimasi reliabilitas cukup reliabel. Berdasarkan hasil analisis CTT dan IRT, rata-rata tingkat kesukaran dikategorikan sedang, dan rata-rata kemampuan membedakan dikategorikan baik. Dalam analisis kualitatif diperoleh satu butir soal menjadi sulit dijawab karena pemahaman konsep yang rendah, materi pembelajaran yang belum tuntas, dan kesulitan belajar selama di kelas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran creative problem solving (CPS) terhadap kemampuan  pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, dan pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang menggunakan posttest only control design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Jambi tahun ajaran 2021/2022 sebanyak 325 siswa dan terbagi menjadi 11 kelas. Dalam penelitian ini, sampel yang digunakan adalah sebanyak 66 siswa yang terbagi menjadi dua kelas (kelas eksperimen I dan kelas kontrol). Sampel di tentukan dengan teknik Random Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan angket motivasi belajar dan tes pemecahan masalah matematis. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji ANOVA dua jalur. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu Model pembelajaran CPS lebih efektif mempengaruhi kemampuan pemecahan masalah dibandingkan model pembelajaran konvensional, serta Motivasi belajar tinggi dan sedang lebih efektif mempengaruhi kemampuan pemecahan masalah dibandingkan motivasi rendah.Kata kunci: Model pembelajaran CPS, Pemecahan masalah matematis, Motivasi belajar

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the influence of the use of inquiry learning models with jigsaw methods on the learning outcomes of mathematics learning assessment subjects of mathematics education study programs of the University of Flores. The research methods used in this research are quantitative with quasi experiment design. The population in this study were all students of the 6th semester of the University of Flores mathematics education study program that programed the mathematics learning assessment course. The sample in the study was 72 students divided into two classes including a 20-student experimental class) and a control class (16 students). The test instrument used in this study is a description test of 5 questions. The results of the study obtained that the value of 0.000 < 0.05 so that there was a significant difference with a probability of 0.05 in the results of the assessment of mathematics learning courses between students in experimental classes and students in control classes. Mathematics learning assessment courses are guided by guided inquiry learning models combined with jigsaw methods empirically proven to improve student learning outcomes in mathematics learning assessment courses.

Abstract

AbstrakKompetensi professional guru pendidikan anak usia dini menjadi salah satu faktor penting untuk memprediksi dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, melalui pengembangan professional guru Pendidikan anak usia dini diharapkan pengetahuannya tetap terjaga dan bahkan meningkat, sebagai modal mengajarkannya kembali. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan proses refleksi pembelajaran berbasis didactical design research sebagai upaya pengembangan profesional. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologi. Partisipan dipilih secara purposive sampling pada penelitian ini adalah satu orang guru pendidikan anak usia dini. Pengumpulan data menggabungkan data dari observasi, wawancara dan focus group discussion. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa learning obstacles yang di hadapi oleh siswa berdasarkan hasil analisis guru mengarah pada epistemological obstacle. Guru memaknai konsep segitiga sebagai bentuk bangun datar yang memiliki tiga sisi dan persegi merupakan bangun datar yang memiliki empat sisi. Guru membuat hypothetical learning Trajectory berdasarkan hasil analisis yaitu learning obstacles dan concept image.Kata kunci: Didactical design research; Guru pendidikan anak usia dini; Pengembangan professional; Abstract[H1] [gj2]  The competence of early childhood education teachers is one of the essential factors to predict and improve the quality of learning. Through the development of early childhood professional teachers, it is hoped that their knowledge will be maintained and even increased to re-teach them. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of reflection on didactic design-based learning as a professional development effort. The research method uses a qualitative phenomenological design. The participant selected by purposive sampling in this study was one early childhood, education teacher. Data collection combines data from observations, interviews, and focus group discussions. The data analysis technique used is Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). The results showed that the learning barriers faced by students based on the results of the teacher's analysis led to epistemological barriers. The teacher interprets the concept of a triangle as a flat shape with three sides, and a square is a flat shape with four sides. The teacher hypothesizes a learning trajectory based on the analysis results, namely learning obstacles and concept images.Keywords: Didactical design research; Early childhood education teachers; Professional development

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa SMP. Rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi siswa disebabkan oleh oleh (1) pembelajaran masih berpusat kepada guru (2) peserta didik kurang terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran matematika (3) peserta didik lemah dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal komunikasi matematis. Berdasarkan masalah ini, peneliti mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika berdasarkan strategi REACT untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika yang berorientasi pada strategi REACT untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi siswa yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan data yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran matematika berupa RPP dan LKPD matematika berbasis strategi REACT untuk kelas VII SMP semester I yang dihasilkan memenuhi kategori valid, praktis, dan efektif. Hasil validitas RPP diperoleh 3,62% dengan kategori  sangat valid dan LKPD diperoleh 3,70% dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil praktikalitas RPP diperoleh 87,67% dengan kategori sangat praktis dan LKPD diperoleh 90,27% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Sedangkan berdasarkan hasil uji soal tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis One-to-One diperoleh 83,33% dan dan Small Group diperoleh 83,33%  artinya perangkat pembelajaran berbasis strategi REACT sangat efektif terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran matematika layak untuk dijadikan bahan rujukan dalam pembelajaran matematika kelas VII SMP.This research is motivated by the low mathematical communication ability of junior high school students. The low communication ability of students is caused by by (1) learning was still teacher centered (2) students are less actively involved in learning (3) students are weak in solving problems related to mathematical communication skills. Based on this problem, researchers developed a mathematical learning device based on REACT) strategies to improve students communication ability. The purpose of this research is to produce mathematical learning tools oriented on to REACT strategies to improve students communication ability that valid, practical, and effektive. The results of the study based on data obtained showed that mathematical learning devices in the form of RPP and LKPD mathematics based on REACT strategy for class VII junior high school semester I resulted in meeting valid, practical, and effective categories. The results of the validity of the RPP obtained 3,62% with a valid category and LKPD obtained 3,70% in very valid category. RPP practicality results obtained 87,67% with very practical categories and LKPD obtained 90,27% in thevery practical category. While based on the results of tests on mathematical communication ability tests one-to-one obtained 83,33% and small group 83,33% meaning that react strategy based learning devices are very effective on mathematical communication ability. The learning device in this study was concluded to be feasible to be used as a reference material in learning mathematics, especially the material for building flat side spaces for class VII SMP.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penlitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis ditinjau dari kemampuan menghafal Al-Qur’an. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas XI IPA 4 SMA IT YAPIDH Bekasi. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data pada penelitian ini adalah tes tertulis, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peserta didik dengan kemampuan menghafal Al-Qur’an tinggi memiliki kemampuan bepikir kritis matematis yang lebih baik daripada peserta didik dengan kemampuan menghafal Al-Qur’an sedang, sedangkan peserta didik dengan kemampuan menghafal Al-Qur’an sedang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis yang lebih baik daripada peserta didik dengan kemampuan menghafal Al-Qur’an rendah. Adapun 8 standar kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis cukup dapat dipenuhi oleh peserta didik dengan kemampuan rendah, sedang ataupun tinggi meskipun masih memiliki beberapa kesalahan.This research is a descriptive research using a qualitative approach. This study aims to describe the profile of mathematical critical thinking skills in terms of the ability to memorize the Qur'an. The research was conducted in class XI IPA 4 SMA IT YAPIDH Bekasi. The techniques used to collect data in this study were written tests, interviews and documentation. The instruments used in this study were tests and interview guidelines. The data analysis technique used from Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that students with high Al-Qur'an memorization skills had better mathematical critical thinking skills than students with moderate Al-Qur'an memorization abilities, while students with moderate Al-Qur'an memorization abilities better mathematical critical thinking than students with low Al-Qur'an memorization skills. The eight standards of mathematical critical thinking skills are sufficient to be met by the students with high, moderate and low Al-Qur’an memorization skills although they still have some mistakes.

Abstract

Social arithmetic is one of the essential subjects for 7th-grade students because it is related to everyday life. However, the facts show that many students still have learning problems about the application of social arithmetic. The obstacle experienced by students is due to the students' obstacle in learning social arithmetic. This study aimed to obtain previous research on junior high school students' learning obstacles on social arithmetic. This study method is a systematic literature review (SLR), a descriptive-based survey in the form of an analysis of 23 articles from the Google Scholar database, with the keywords learning obstacle, analysis error, and difficulties in social arithmetic. The results showed that three types of learning obstacles, namely didactical obstacles, ontogenic obstacles, and epistemological obstacles. In addition, obstacles occur in concepts (profit, loss, discount), procedures (modeling and concluding), operational techniques (multiplication of percentage and division), and textbooks used because of the language that is difficult to understand and does not fit the context recognized by students. The research implies providing information on the obstacles experienced by students and research gaps from the results of this review for future research, namely research on analyzing textbooks.
