Abstract

Teachers are the most important component in the world of education and occupy a respectable place in society. Teachers have a very big influence on changes in the behavior of their students. Reading, writing and calculating are skills that must be owned and mastered globally. Based on the results of observations made at SDN Kuta Pasie, information was obtained that there were students who had difficulty reading, writing and calculating. The purpose of this study was to analyze the efforts made by the teacher in overcoming reading, writing and arithmetic difficulties, and to analyze the obstacles faced in efforts to deal with reading, writing and numeracy difficulties at SDN Kuta Pasie. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection techniques of interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that (1) Efforts made by teachers in overcoming difficulties in reading, writing and arithmetic are all educators who are graduates, learning programs according to the applicable curriculum, conducting initial tests for new students, conducting class workshops, carrying out activities Ramadan reading at the beginning of the fasting month, learning to read using the phonics method, collaborating with parents of students, and providing motivation to learn and encouragement to study enthusiasm for students. (2) The obstacles experienced by teachers are the lack of support and cooperation from parents of students, students who have difficulty reading, writing and calculating tend to be lazy to study, low student memory, unstable student psychology, and limitations of schools in providing supportive media in the process of learning to read, write and count.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of problem solving learning model on the ability of Indonesian story questions for elementary school students. By using quantitative methods and quasi-experimental models with the type of post-test only control design. To see the extent to which this research has an effect on the ability of story questions, the researchers collected data through a post-test conducted by students. The results of this study indicate that the problem solving learning model has an effect on the ability of Indonesian language story questions for elementary school students as evidenced by statistical data for hypothesis testing using the t test with the results of the T_count> T_table with a score of 5.320> 2.002 so that this research can be said to have a significant influence on the ability Indonesian story questions for elementary school students. With these results, it can be said that the problem solving learning model is able to improve the ability of story questions, so that it can be used as a learning model used in the classroom.

Abstract

This type of research is pre-experimental research. This research was conducted in three stages, namely pre-test, treatment and post-test. The subjects in this study were 237 students of the UMSU English Study Program. The techniques used to collect the data above include test techniques, observation, and an assessment rubric for writing news texts. The results of the study show that using the Project Based Learning model can improve the learning outcomes of writing news texts for UMSU students. This is evident from the increased student learning outcomes. The research carried out obtained the following results: (1) Student learning outcomes at the pretest stage were in the low category with an average score of 57.36 and at the post test stage they were in the medium category with an average value of 75.92 (3) The results of the analysis shows that there are changes that occur in student attitudes during the learning process in accordance with the results of observations, namely the application of learning using the Project Based Learning model in news text writing skills has an influence on student learning outcomes. Based on this description, it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning increases the skills of writing news texts for students of the UMSU English education study program.

Abstract

The introduction of moral values is a form of human development to become a human figure who is devoted to Allah SWT. Moral development must start early to form good character in children. Based on the observations of children in TK Al-Hidayah, children have not been able to distinguish between good values because of the limited use of media at that school. At that level, children should be familiar with honesty, politeness, respect, caring, and helping each other. This study aims to introduce moral values by using audio-visual media. This experimental research used a one group pretest-posttest design on 15 children of Al-Hidayah Kindergarten. Data collection uses a test to see the child's ability to recognize moral values through the animated films Nusa and Rara. The results showed that children began to recognize moral values before using audio-visual media with an average of 1.6. But after seeing the animation, the average value is 3.2 (Already Familiar). Then the t test obtained a t_count value of 23.98 and a t_table value of 1.761 with 14 degrees of freedom (db) at a significant level of 5% (0.05) and the difference in pretest and posttest values was 1.6. Based on data analysis, it can be said that t_count > t_table so that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So it can be concluded that the application of audio-visual media can introduce children's moral values in Al-Hidayah Kindergarten, Samadua District, South Aceh Regency.

Abstract

Kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an merupakan salah satu keteladanan dalam mengembangkan aspek agama anak. Berdasarkan observasi awal terhadap kemampuan guru PAUD tingkat Kabupaten Gayo Lues dalam membaca Al-Qur’an masih sangat kurang, baik dari segi kemampuan; mengenal huruf, hukum tajwid, maupun tartil. Tiga indikator tersebut menjadi perhatian khusus bagi guru dalam kemampuan membaca Al-Quran untuk mengembangkan aspek agama anak. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan guru PAUD dalam membaca Al-Qur’an di Kabupaten Gayo Lues. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan lembaran wawancara dan dokumentasi hasil tes bacaan Al-Quran sebagai instrumen penelitian. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 30 guru (tes baca Al-Qur’an) dan 12 guru (wawancara). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAUD perlu perhatian khusus dalam membaca Al-Qur’an, dimana kemampuan tartil diperoleh 16.66 % (5 guru). Selain itu guru perlu pembinaan dalam tahsin huruf dan tajwid dimana data ditemukan bahwa 46,66 % (14 guru) dapat melafadhkan huruf dengan benar dan 30 % (9 guru) mampu membaca Al-Qur’an dengan tajwid yang benar. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan guru PAUD Gayo Lues dalam membaca Al-Quran masih perlu peningkatan baik dari segi membaca huruf, ilmu tajwid, maupun kemampuan bacaan Al-Qur’an dengan tartil. Kemampuan mengenal huruf dan tajwid serta aplikasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dapat menghasilkan kemampuan tartil.

Abstract

The practice of learning carried out in school institutions with the implementation of a learning method is a common thing carried out by an educator in maximizing the desired learning objectives to be carried out. Various learning methods can be implemented for students in harmony with the characteristics of the students themselves. In this study the aim is to describe the Implementation of ICT-based Simulation Methods in fostering active learning of students in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This research uses a qualitative type of case study technique. Which was held at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darussalam Mataram Jaya. The data source uses primary data sources, namely grade IV (four) teachers and secondary data sources, namely in the form of documents and sources related to research. Research data collection techniques using the method of observation, interviews, documentation. In the technique of guaranteeing the validity of this research data using data triangulation. In the research, it was found that the simulation method can have implications for the active learning of students. Related matters can be known through each indicator of the activeness of students who are known to include: students participate actively in implementing assigned tasks by forming a group, actively asking questions, actively conducting group discussions, actively digging for information related to the discussion assigned to do the role-playing, and students participate actively in solving problems with the type of distributing the appropriate cast figures and can provide an assessment of the abilities they have.

Abstract

The use of blended learning models is very necessary in the implementation of educational activities in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic that has hit Indonesia. This research contains an explanation of the problem analysis that accompanies learning with a blended learning model. The purpose of this study is to explain various kinds of problems and problems that occur when the learning process is carried out with a blended learning model in the material for building rooms for grade 1 elementary school students. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with an approach to analyzing the situation of conditions in accordance with the facts in the field as the object of study and the object of research. The results of this study are that there are various probelamtics that accompany learning with a blended learning model such as insufficient student independence, parents who have to accompany their students to study, economic limitations to buy internet credit, unstable signals during online learning, the implementation of strict health protocols during study visits, and the concerns of parents who do not want their children to interact directly with teachers and other students in groups because  fear of exposure to the coronavirus considering they are still in the 1st grade of elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a MIKiR-based mathematics learning MFI product. The location of the research was in the PGMI study program, UIN North Sumatra, Medan, with a total of 25 samples. This research was conducted using the Research & Development method which was adopted from Tiagharijan's development theory. From the realization of this method, this research results that this mathematics learning LKM product is declared feasible with the one sample statistic test, namely 82.32, very practical through observation with a percentage of 9.84%, and quite effective with the acquisition of Ngain 0.71 in the high category, and if converted to Ngain is based on Hake.RR, then the interpretation of Ngain's effectiveness is categorized as quite effective.

Abstract

Facing the era of society 5.0, every educator seeks suitable techniques to deal with the era of society 5.0 in the applied learning process, one of which is by using Kahoot as a medium in the teaching and learning process. Kahoot itself is a platform that offers a variety of interesting and educative features, with offers that are quite eccentric, making this application very popular in supporting the learning process. Using this kahoot application to determine the effectiveness of using kahoot as a learning medium in dealing with the era of society 5.0 at SDIT Darul Hasan. This type of research is quantitative with an experimental method in the form of a quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental). Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the results of the control class obtained a pretest value of 34.7 and posttest 39.7. The obtained value is then calculated N-Gain and obtained an N-Gain score of 0.07 in the low category. In the experimental test, the pretest value was 56.6 and the posttest was 70. The value obtained was then calculated as an N-Gain of 0.34 in the medium category.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal (1) the effect of a work commitment on teacher performance; (2) the effect of job satisfaction on teacher performance. This research was conducted at public elementary schools in the city of Banda Aceh. The study population was all public elementary school teachers in the city of Banda Aceh totaling 481 people. Determination of the sample using the Slovin formula, with a total sample of 218 people. Data was collected using a questionnaire which was filled in by respondents who came from teachers. Research analysis using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis with path analysis (path analysis). The research results show that:; (1) Work commitment has a significant influence on teacher performance, it is shown that ρ31 = 0.334; (2) Job satisfaction has a significant influence on teacher performance and it is shown that ρ32 = 0.268. The teacher performance model found in this study explains that improving teacher performance can be done through work commitment and job satisfaction which will directly lead to better teacher performance.
