Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the advantages of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-based learning at the elementary school level. ICT-based learning in elementary schools refers to the integration of information and communication technology in the learning process. The government has adopted initiatives to bring ICT into the basic education curriculum. The population in this study consisted of teachers, students and related parties at Sekolah Dasar Negeri Maguwoharjo 1, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta. The use of ICT allows wider access to distance learning, increases student learning motivation, makes it easier to understand material, and facilitates independent learning. Apart from that, teachers also find it easy to convey lesson material and minimize their shortcomings in coordinating the class. The use of ICT also provides easier access to learning resources, enriches learning, and facilitates the creation of important documents.Teachers need to address the challenges of technical preparation, device and internet accessibility, and changes in teaching methods. Schools must face the challenges of investment in ICT infrastructure, staff and teacher training, as well as unstable electricity issues. In facing these challenges, support from schools, teachers and other interested parties is very important to ensure the successful implementation of ICT-based learning. Keywords: Advantages, challenges, ICT, elementary school

Abstract

Education is an effort to develop a nation to be better in order to create the formation of individuals who have an ethical and quality spirit. The quality of education starts from school, as formal education institutions for the community to improve the quality of education by applying the National Education Standards (NES). NES is a minimum requirement standard for the education system in all regions of Indonesia including content standards, assessment standards, management standards, financing standards, process standards, infrastructure standards, graduate competency standards, educators and education staff standards. This aim is to determine the success of implementing NES at Kampung Krueng Elementary School. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach with primary data sources, namely observation and interviews, then secondary data is collected from reading books, journals, mass media and written documents. The results of the study show that several studies on the success of the NES scope have not been classified as effective and efficient because some standards have not been met, there are standards that already meet the NES well but need effort to be better such as the standards of educators and education staff during the teaching and learning process for students trying to bring a comfortable atmosphere so that students are enthusiastic about learning and those that are still not supportive, namely the standard of facilities and infrastructure which is still minimal in terms of budget and goods by the Department of Education. Keywords:  Application, National Education Standards, Primary School

Dyslexic children take a slower time to speak because they have difficulty remembering letters, words and sentences. One of the effective therapy methods in improving the reading and writing skills of dyslexic patients is phonics. This type of research is qualitative research, as a research procedure that produces descriptive data on issues related to the phonics method as an alternative therapy for dyslexic children. Judging from Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System (UUSPN), it can be seen that the State has guaranteed legal certainty in the context of preventive protection. The research approach used is a legal and community research approach (socio legal research). The socio legal research approach is conducted to find out whether the UUSPN has accommodated the Right to Education for children with special needs who have dyslexia and whether the choice of the phonics method as an alternative therapy has become an effort to fulfill the Right to Education for dyslexic children. The phonics method can help improve the reading ability of dyslexic students, so that they can follow the learning process in class, thus the phonics method is one of the supporting factors in achieving the goals of National Education as stated in Article 3 of the UUSPN.Keywords: Phonics Method, Educational Rights, Dyslexic Children

Abstract

The final even semester assessment questions are an assessment instrument used to evaluate the learning carried out by teachers and students during one semester. The aim of this research is to develop HOTS-based PAS questions so that students have a balance between attitude, knowledge and skills. The type of research used is research and development. The model used is the ADDIE model, which has five research stages. Namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. To test the validity of the product, it is tested by experts using a validity questionnaire, for practicality, a questionnaire is assessed by the teacher and an effectiveness questionnaire is assessed by the students. The results of this research show that the HOTS-based PAS IPAS questions meet the valid criteria of 81% in the very valid category, for practical results 96% in the very practical category and effectiveness results of 95% in the very valid category. Abstract

Spatial thinking ability is the ability to mentally manipulate and rotate an object in solving two-dimensional and third-dimensional geometric problems as well as the ability to imagine the shape of an object from a different perspective in solving three-dimensional geometric problems. This spatial ability is very necessary for students because good spatial abilities will also support good understanding of mathematics. Apart from that, students also need spatial abilities to solve everyday problems, such as looking at a map, explaining their position and so on. This spatial ability consists of spatial visualization, spatial rotation and spatial orientation. To improve spatial abilities, teachers must be creative in designing learning by using various media or teaching aids that are appropriate to the material being studied. Keywords: Spatial thinking skills, Geometry, Elementary education
