Abstract

Feminist Theology is a movement considered have altered several doctrines of ‎Christianity, by cause of their persistence calling for equality with men. Initially, the ‎movement of Feminist Theology merely demanded favors they should had it. ‎However, Feminist Theologian gone so far from the position they should be before ‎breaking decrees of Christianity. They tend to understand God through a women-‎biased point of view, since concept of God are commonly comprehended from ‎patriarchal perspective. Indeed, a true theology is what comes based on Holy ‎Scripture. Such a principle, however, is not applied by Feminist Theology, since ‎their theological view are established on Christian women experience all this time. ‎According to Feminist Theology, doctrine of Christianity suggested to prioritize ‎men rather than women and accordingly, Feminist Theology desire to reconstruct ‎it to be more slightly feminine-nuanced. Margaret D. Kamitsuka, one of Feminist ‎Theologians believes in that Feminist Theology born in a struggle and continuously ‎humiliated, before bringing about the new spiritual image and resistance discourse ‎concerning in an empowerment of women. To conclude, this paper will try to ‎reveal briefly the development and Feminist Theological view about doctrine of ‎Christianity.‎

Abstract

The Inclusive theology term is well known in Religious Plurality Discourse. Generally, it can be expressed as a view which sees the truth in other religion although that one still embracing his religion. Inclusive Theology, has been popularized by One of Modern Scholar; Nurcholish Madjid (Cak Nur), as an alternative of violence and religion conflict which in the view of the modernist has reduced the meaning of religion as the claim of salvation. Whereas this theology hasn’t been a solution but new problem caused reduction of the meaning and Islam identity as a Din. As an example is shifting meaning of Islam, from ‘organized religion’ become ‘submission’ is one of big mistakes caused this theology. This work supposed to criticize this concept of Inclusive Theology derived by Cak Nun.

Abstract

Is there similarities between Judaism, Christianity, and Islam? If there, where is the similarity? And if so, why they are not be united, would not it be more powerful and far reaching if they are united? Then how about the position and posture or attitude of these religions on the issue of monotheism, while the pluralists use it as a means to spread understanding of religious pluralism? The pluralists are also using the issue to gain legalization that Judaism, Christianity and Islam is actually same in the concept of God, the same God worshiped single or monotheist. It’s mean, the three religions in essence no significant differences. So that it can together accept the truth of the concept of God of each religion without blame. This simple paper will examine that issue with a few critical questions. The critical questions aiming to find an obvious point, it is true the assumption that the three Semitic religions are monotheistic and can be united under the shelter of monotheism. At the end of this article will be explained how the position of three religions toward monotheistic.

Abstract

The war of ideas which happen today is more than just the battle of arguments, concepts, or ideas. Moreover, the terminology of a word is also be a battle of the idea. The war of terminology raised new terminologies derived from Western worldview, which is not in accordance with Islam. In the end, Western terminology related to Islam raised a lot of debate and discourse among scholars. As we know, the West has its own valuesand worldviews on life, which certainly have an impact on ideas, and ideologies. Surprisingly, lot of Muslim scholars used the western terminology in some of their ideas. One of them is Khaled Abou el-Fadl. In this article, the author tries to study the moderate and the puritan terminology created by Khaled Abou el-Fadl. He was a contemporaryIslamic thinker from Kuwait. With both of the terms (moderate and puritan), he has dichotomized Muslims into two distinct groups. This paper will try to describe the problem of moderate and puritanical in Khaled Abou El Fadl’s thinking and its implication to the Islamic Ummah.

Abstract

This article examines Ibnu Khaldun’s economic thought in his literature ‎entitled Muqaddimah. Discussing this idea is crucial due to his great contribution to ‎the future development of Islamic economy. In addition, Ibnu Khaldun’s thought has ‎contributed further to an economic science until becoming a prominent theory in 18th ‎and 19th century far before many experts such as Adam Smith, David Ricardo, Leon ‎Walras, Karl Marx, and the others established their theories. Ibnu Khaldun’s thought ‎is considered fundamental, not only due to the fact that he precedes any Western ‎economists but he is also an expert of extensive sciences besides Economics so he ‎possess an outstanding ability to to write his Economics in a complete perspective. ‎Among his contributions to both macro and micro Economics, Ibnu Khaldun ‎occassionally proposed his Economics in 14th century when Europe was still in pre-‎modern era. This study concludes that, historically, Ibnu Khaldun’s Economics have ‎existed far before modern Western scholars defined their ideas. It is not exaggerating ‎therefore to call Ibnu Khaldun as Father of Economics in the case of his ideas of ‎taxes, international trades, political and civilization developments are all crucial to ‎be taken into account in current context for prosperity in society and state.‎

Abstract

This article aims to examine the process of Islamization on the theory of welfare, which is presented by M. Hibatal Azizy in his book “Mendudukkan Kembali Makna Kesejateraan dalam Islam (2014)”. The intended test is carried out through the perspective of the Islamic research program of lakatosian; which is adopted from the Methodology of Scientific Research Programes by Imre Lakatos (w.1974). This research program consists of 4 steps of analysis, namely (1) finding the problem in the initial theory, (2) finding the initial paradigm, (3) shifting of paradigm and (4) building a new theory. Based on this perspective, Azizy has carried out the four steps of the analysis above and produced a welfare theory in accordance with the Islamic paradigm, which called falāh theory of welfare. An important point of his theory is theIslamic welfare includes oriented to the worldly and ukhrowi dimensions. Overall fulfillment of welfare for a Muslim can be specified in 5 aspects of life; religion, soul, reason, descent and wealth.

Abstract

Syi’ah sebagai salah satu sekte yang menyimpang dalam Islam memiliki konsep tersendiri mengenai asal tinah (tanah) yang digunakan oleh Allah untuk menciptakan manusia, tinah tersebut dibagi menjadi dua, tinah yang baik dan tinah yang jelek. Penganut Syi’ah diciptakan dari tinah yang baik, sementara selain Syi’ah (orang kafir,termasuk Sunni) diciptakan dari tinah yang jelek. Masalahnya, dalam pandangan Syi’ah Allah telah mencampuri kedua tinah tersebut, sehingga melahirkan penganut Syi’ah yang berbuat maksiat dan orang kafir yang beramal saleh. Seharusnya hanya penganut Syi’ah sajalah yang beramal saleh dan orang kafir yang berbuat maksiat. Pada hari kiamat tinah ini akan dikembalikan kepada asalnya. Artinya tinah Syi’ah yang tercampur dengan tinah orang kafir tadi akan dikembalikan kepada orang Syi’ah. Sehingga seluruh amal saleh yang dikerjakan kafir akan menjadi milik Syi’ah. Sebaliknya, seluruh kemaksiatan yang dilakukan oleh Syi’ah akan diberikan kepada orang kafir. Konsekuensi dari tinah ini menunjukkan adanya spesialisasi terhadap penciptaan Syi’ah. Sehingga mereka menganggap dirinya sebagai manusia pilihan Tuhan. Anggapan ini mirip dengan prinsip bangsa Yahudi. Di samping itu, konsep akidah tinah juga berbau prinsip golongan Jabariah. Adanya penukaran amal saleh dengan maksiat, menyebabkan golongan Syi’ah merasa terbebas dari semua dosa-dosanya. Sehingga hal ini akan membuat penganut Syi’ah bebas melakukan apa saja, karena mereka tidak akan menanggung dosanya. Pemahaman seperti ini cukup berbahaya, terutama bagi kalangan awam Syi’ah.

Abstract

In 2005, the Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI) issued a fatwa No. 11/ MUNAS/ VII/ 15/2005 on ‎the Ahmadiyah school. This fatwa established three important points which affirm the ‎apostasy of the Ahmadiyah school. Ahmadiyah misappropriates as it regards Mirza Ghulam ‎Ahmad as the last prophet, a very distorted view of the true teachings of Islam. In Manis Lor ‎Village, Jagalaksana, Kuningan district, there was a community of Ahmadiyah followers ‎named Jamaah Ahmadiyah Indonesia (JAI). This research was done by plunging directly into ‎Manis Lor Village. There were some interesting findings, among them was the fact that this ‎group had done the dawah in an organized manner by involving preacher (muballigh) who ‎voluntarily expres their readiness. Mubalig is also scholed, sworn and settled in an ‎environment where the Jemaah were located. The muballig also has the support of a ‎qualified financial. A muballig in charge of fostering and serving full-tme worshipers. On the ‎other hand, because mubalig only concentrates on nurturing and serving Jemaah, all the ‎burden of living expenses of mubalig and his family becomes dependent on the JAI ‎organization.‎

Abstract

Islam is a religion with universal teachings covering all lines of human life from various aspects. That is, that Islam has taught its people how to become real human beings as caliphs on this earth. All activities of a Muslim are arranged in two important guidelines, namely the Qur’an and Hadits. It is undeniable, that sometimes the texts of the Qur’an and Hadits are found to be contrary to Islam as the religion carrying out the mission of seclusion. However, these texts must be comprehended in their entirety and comprehensively by using their knowledge so that they gain a comprehensive understanding of a problem and do not seem to be in a hurry to conclude. In the study of hadits, the use of the knowledge Ma’a>ni> al-H{adi>ts becomes very important in understanding the substance and meaning of a hadits, for example the hadits prohibited from living with non-Muslims, at a glance this tradition presents Islam as an exclusive religion. But with the use of knowledge Ma’a>ni> al-H{adi>ts  in understanding this hadits, it will get an objective conclusion, so as not to give a negative impression on Muslims.

Abstract

Tabaqat merupakan kumpulan biografi tokoh berdasarkan pelapisan generasi. Pada mulanya penulisan tabaqat digunakan dalam hubungannya dengan kritik hadis, yakni kritik sanad, tetapi dalam perkembangannya penulisan tabaqat menjadi lebih luas, mencakup para ilmuwan yang tidak termasuk dalam katagori ilmu keagamaan Islam. Tabaqat dapat diklasifikasikan sesuai dengan masa dan keahlian masing-masing, seperti tabaqat para sahabat, muhadditsin, penguasa pemerintah, ilmuwan dan sebainya. Sedangkan periodisasinya menurut Harun Nasution dibagi menjadi tiga, yaitu periode klasik, pertengahan, dan modern. Dalam pembidangan ilmu agama, tabaqat dapat dikelompokkan menjadi mufassirin, muhadditsin, fukaha, dan sufi. Historiografi tabaqat sangat besar nilainya, karena dari sini dapat dihimpun banyak informasi penting. Dengan tabaqat, kehidupan intelektual suatu daerah atau wilayah pada suatu masa tertentu dapat terungkap. Pada masa sekarang tabaqat dapat menjadi sumber utama dalam melakukan penulisan sejarah intelektual, darinya akan terungkap motivasi intelektualitas seorang ulama, ideologinya, orientasi berfikirnya, dan hal-hal lain yang mendukungnya. Karya-karya mereka sangat berguna bagi kehidupan masa kini dan masa depan sebagai suri tauladan.
