Abstract

The aims of this study are to know the role of the learning path using fairy tales in mathematics learning in the division material. This study was using design research using the learning trajectory that was developed into a Worksheet where the research was conducted in three stages, namely the initial design, the teaching experiment (pilot experiment) and retrospective analysis. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 33 Pangkalpinang. The data were collected through several things, namely by pre-test and post-test, video recording, collection of student results, interviews, and field notes. The results showed that with the context of the Tiger, Buffalo, and Elephant Fairy Tales, students could understand the concept of division. Students are more interested and motivated in solving problems related to division so that learning is more meaningful. PMRI can be used as an approach to learning angle measurement in elementary schools.

Abstract

Fraction was very important to be taught as a basis for learning mathematics for the next stage. This research aimed to design fractions learning for fourth grade students. The method used was design research with type of validation studies which consists three stages, namely the preliminary design, the design experiment, and the retrospective analysis. This research was conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) in Jambi City with research subjects were eleven students in the fourth grade. Based on the research findings, it was concluded that students really followed the command of questions, so as a teacher or question maker, we must design questions clearly. In addition, students tended to operate fractions starting from addition or subtraction, then multiplication, and lastly division.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the type of Learning Obstacle (LO) on the topic of Algebra in terms of Mathematical Literacy by PISA 2021. The method used in this research is a qualitative method using a didactical design research framework that focuses on learning obstacles. The instrument used in studying learning obstacles was designed based on the mathematical literacy of PISA 2021. The participants of this study came from the city of Cirebon, which consisted of four junior high school students in class IX, one high school student in class X, and two high school students in class XI. Data were collected through written tests, interviews, and observations. The results of this study are four types of learning obstacles, namely related to difficulties in converting story questions into mathematical modeling, lack of mastery of the application of algebra in the form of story questions, difficulties in converting story questions into geometric models and ignorance and confusion about what to do in completing test instruments which is given.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk e-modul (electronic module) matematika berbantuan flip builder berbasis etnomatematika budaya Islam lokal Kudus pada materi matematika kelas VII yang valid dan menarik. Bahan ajar matematika yang berbasis etnomatematika budaya Islam lokal Kudus dan terintegrasi nilai keislaman akan lebih menarik bagi siswa. Hal ini dikarenakan dengan adanya etnomatematika siswa dapat belajar matematika melalui budaya sekaligus mengenalkan budaya lokal setempat kepada siswa. Sedangkan integrasi nilai keislaman akan mampu menumbuhkan rasa keimanan dan ketakwaan siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar angket validasi dan angket respon kemenarikan peserta didik terhadap produk e-modul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ahli materi memperolehan nilai rata-rata 3,43, ahli konten islami 3,47, dan ahli media 3,4. Ketiga hasil validasi tersebut telah memenuhi kriteria “Valid”. Sedangkan uji respon kemenarikan dilakukan dua kali pengujian yakni uji skala kecil yang memperoleh nilai rata-rata 3,39 dan uji skala besar 3,46. Kedua hasil uji tersebut telah memenuhi kriteria “Sangat Menarik”. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk e-modul matematika ini valid dan menarik, sehingga dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the not yet optimal application of differentiated learning where teachers have not accommodated students' learning needs, in the form of learning readiness, learning interest and student learning profile (style). This study aims to improve student learning activities and outcomes. Data collection techniques using instruments: (1) student activity observation sheets, and (2) learning achievement tests. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistical analysis and descriptive analysis. The results showed that: The average percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes in cycle I was 92%, increasing to 96% in cycle II. While the percentage of student learning activities in cycle I reached 90.25%, an increase of 92% in cycle II. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the application of differentiated learning through the Problem Based Learning learning model can optimize student learning activities and outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the educational media of domino games in the Trigonometry Equation material in class XI-11 IPA SMA 17 Palembang. This research is a classroom action research involving repetitive self-reflection, namely planning, acting, observing, reflecting, and re-planning in two cycles. Data collection techniques used are observation and tests, data obtained by researchers of quantitative and qualitative analysis .The results obtained in this study can be seen in my cycle there are 2% of students not active in learning and from the test results there are 49% of students get good enough grades. While in cycle II there has been an increase of 0% of students who are not active in learning, and from the test results there are 74% of students getting good enough grades. Based on the results of research that has been done can conclude the use of trigonometric dominoes in educational games can improve learning creativity and learning outcomes of students of class XI-11 Mathematics and Natural Sciences 17 State High School Palembang.Abstract english version, written using Time New Roman-12, italic, justify, single space among rows.

Abstract

Siswa yang memiliki kebiasaan berpikir memiliki kecenderungan berperilaku, berpikir, secara cerdas dan cara mengorganisir secara vocational, rasional dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara deskriptif sehingga tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kebiasaan berpikir matematis siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan masalah statistika. Subjek penelitian ini diambil dari dua SMP negeri di Kota Palembang. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 97 orang siswa dengan rincian 26 siswa dari SMP Akreditasi A dan 71 siswa dari SMP berakreditasi B. Tes, angket, dan wawancara dipilih sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Semua data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara deskriptif baik secara kuantitatif maupun secara kualitatif. Dari hasil analisis terhadap data tes, angket, dan wawancara maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kebiasaan berpikir matematis dari aspek kognitif dan aktivitas secara umum sudah cukup baik. Dari aspek kognitif tergambar bahwa siswa yang memiliki pengetahuan masa lama yang baik cenderung memiliki kebiasaan berpikir yang baik. Dari aspek aktivitas terlihat bahwa umumnya siswa belum terbiasa berpikir metakognisi dan belum terbiasa melihat hal-hal yang ganjil dalam matematika. Oleh karenanya diperlukan stimulus yang harus dilakukan secara kontinu dan terintegrasi dalam keseharian siswa.

Abstract

This research aims at producing learning procedure that can establish students’ comprehension on the concept of central and inscribed angle in a circle. This study is a Classroom Action Research. It is conducted to Eight Year Junior High School Students of MTs Al Ma’arif 01 Singosari Malang. The implementation of learning activities is exactly done as learning design that consists of five discourses. Each discourse has its own theme and purposes so they have different themes and purposes. All the themes are delivered in a cycle activity. The result is that the strategy used in this study succeeds as a learning procedure to establish students’ comprehension of that concept on eighth year junior high school students of MTs al Ma’arif 01 Singosari Malang.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of CORE learning model by the method of Problem Posing on mathematical problem solving ability at the eighth grade students of SMP Ar Risalah Lubuklinggau in academic year 2019/2020. The research method used in the form of pure experimentation. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Ar Risalah Lubuklinggau the academic year 2019/2020, which consists of 157 students and a sample is VIII.Ibnu Khaldun as an experimental class and VIII.Ibnu Miskawaih as the control class. Collecting the data in the study used a test about the description. The data were analyzed using t-test. Based on the analysis of t-test with a significant level of = 0.05, obtained thitung (1,81) > ttabel (1,67), so it can be concluded that there is influence learning model CORE method Problem Posing on mathematical problem solving ability at the eighth grade students of SMP Ar Risalah Lubuklinggau in academic year 2019/2020. From the results of post-test the average score of students' mathematical problem solving ability in the experimental class was 23.52 and in the control class was 14.45. Metode penelitian digunakan berbentuk eksperimen murni. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Ar Risalah Lubuklinggau tahun pelajaran 2019/2020, yang terdiri dari 157 siswa dan sebagai sampelnya adalah kelas VIII.Ibnu Khaldun sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII.Ibnu Miskawaih sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian menggunakan tes soal uraian.. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji-t dengan taraf signifikan sebesar = 0,05, diperoleh thitung (1,81) > ttabel (1,67), sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran CORE dengan metode Problem Posing terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Ar Risalah Lubuklinggau tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Dari hasil post-test rata-ratas skor kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 23,52 dan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 14,45. Kata kunci: CORE, Problem Posing, Pemecahan Masalah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model by using the Inquiry method on the concept comprehension ability of Grade VII students of O Mangunharjo Middle School in 2019/2020. The research method used is pure experimental form. 154 students and the sample is class VII.A as an experimental class and VII.E as a control class. Collecting data in research using tests in the form of a matter of description. Data collected were analyzed using t-test at the significance level α = 0.05. Based on the results of the t-test analysis at a significant level, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model by using the Inquiry method on the ability of concept understanding of seventh grade students of O Mangunharjo Middle School in 2019/2020. The average score of the ability of understanding the concept of the experimental class was 33.13 and the control class was 27.74.
