Abstract

Every human being has consequences for what they have done. Especially because of their lack of faith and trust in themselves. Allah has warned his servants about the consequences of doing things that Allah has forbidden. One of them is punishment. Although there have been several essays on doom, the author tries to convey how to avoid doom. The word doom means God's punishment that is rewarded to humans who violate religious prohibitions. doom also means all kinds of suffering (misery). There are many assumptions about the cruelty of God about the punishment given but not realizing the mistakes that have been made. This study examines the interpretation of the word doom in Tafsir al-Maraghi by Sheikh Ahmad Mustafa al-Maraghi. This study focuses on two main things: first, the interpretation of Shaykh Ahmad Mustafa al-Maraghi on the verses related to punishment. Second, how efforts to avoid doom in Tafsir al-Maraghi. The research method used is library research with a thematic approach using the Qur'an and Tafsir al-Maraghi as the main source. The results and conclusions show that al-Maraghi's interpretation of the verses of azabulkhizyi is interpreted as an act that causes Allah's punishment to befall humans. These actions include disobeying and fighting Allah and His Messenger, showing hypocrisy, spreading false teachings, and doing vain deeds. This finding indicates that azabulkhizyi tells how the consequences of human beings about what they have violated from Allah's provisions.

Abstract

Islam places great importance on the education of children starting from an early age. If children lack education at the beginning of their lives, some of them will grow up with corrupt morals, like lying, envy, stealing, criticizing, and interfering in other people's affairs. The Qur'anic surah that alludes to the importance of the existence of children themselves is QS. al-Kahf verse 46, Allah says: “Treasures and children are ornaments in the life of the world”. This study aims to discuss the concept and method of tadabbur al-Qur'an through analyzing the work of the Ummul Qura' editorial team, namely the book Tadabbur Al-Qur’an for Kids. By using qualitative methodology, literature study, this research focuses on two main aspects: the understanding of the editorial team of Ummul Qura' about the concept and method of tadabbur al-Qur'an for early childhood, and how it is implemented in everyday life. The results showed that the editorial team of Ummul Qura' was able to provide solutions for early childhood education by presenting an applicable and meaningful understanding, including presenting convenience for children in tadabbur al-Qur'an, making it easy to memorize the Qur'an, presenting the translation of each verse, introducing the naming of the surah of the Qur'an, tadabbur and understanding the essence of the Qur'an's science, a guide to practicing the contents of the Qur'an, complete references, inviting children to dive further, and providing motivation to become experts in the Qur'an.

Abstract

Hadith figures have a wide scope. Individuals who play an important role in the collection, compilation, and study of hadith can be defined as hadith figures. This article examines the significant contribution of Agus Hasan Bashori in the development of hadith science through his work entitled al-Arba'un an-Nawawiyah wa Ziyaadatuha ar-Rajabiyah. The purpose of this study is to find Agus Hasan Bashori's innovation in assessing, listing, and compiling the hadith fawaid of Imam Nawawi and Imam Ibn Rajab by comparing the tahqiq results of the scholars. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of biographical study research interview technique. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The role of a family that has positive values related to education, hard work, and integrity is one of the supporting factors for Agus Hasan Bashori in achieving his success. (2) Agus Hasan Bashori's exemplary work in accordance with existing principles and values is able to strengthen his character so that it can bring inspiration in the lives of others and build deep trust and respect from others. (3) Agus Hasan Bashori's innovations in Kitab al-Arba'un an-Nawawiyah wa Ziyaadatuha ar-Rajabiyah not only strengthen the scientific foundation of hadith, but also help Muslims integrate the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad into their daily lives and improve their spiritual and moral quality.

Abstract

The relationship between religion and culture is an interesting thing to analysis, especially in Java which has various local cultures which are famous for their Javanese. Local culture that originates from generations of ancestors still exists today. Like the Nyumpet tradition in Jepara which is carried out by the owner of the party before holding a celebration, whether a wedding or circumcision event. The survival of ancestral traditions to this day also involves the role of religion in them, and vice versa. Religion can enter Javanese society and also involves existing traditions. The aim of this research is to review the relationship between religion and culture through the Nyumpet tradition in Jepara, considering that Nyumpet activity is a tradition that combines the role of religion and rituals inherited from ancestors. This research is qualitative research with data collection techniques through involved observation. This means that the researcher directly witnessed and took part in the Nyumpet tradition, because the researcher is part of the Jepara community. The results of this research show that religion and culture have a close relationship between the two. The existence of the Nyumpet ritual in Jepara society aims to prevent bad things from happening at celebration events. Nyumpet with various Ugo Rampe combined with Selametan shows that religion and culture are very strong in Jepara society and can have a psychological effect on the soul. The geographical location of Jepara district and the community's professions are also the reasons why Nyumpet in Jepara still exists today.

Abstract

The writing of the Qur’an is different from Arabic writing in general even though the pronunciation is the same. The scholars of fiqh, Qur’anic scholars, and theologians agree that the writing of the Qur’an which is different from the writing of Arabic in general is intended to enable the Qur'an to contain al-ahrūf al-sab'ah. It also shows the truth about the existence of miracles in the Qur'an. This miracle became known as i'jāz rasm. The majority of scholars are of the opinion that the writing of the Qur’an is an order of the Prophet Muhammad (tauqīfī), and no one has the right to change it. However, it is still rare for people to discuss the miracle of the Qur’an in terms of writing (rasm). One of the scholars who discussed the i'jāz rasm is M. Syamlūl in his work entitled I'jāz Rasm al-Qur’an wa I'jāz al-Tilāwah. Departing from the above problems, the author tries to examine how the concept of i'jāz rasm according to Syamlūl's view, especially on the words hasanāt and sayyiāt in the Qur’an. The method used in this research is library research with qualitative research. The purpose of this study is to examine the concepts given by Syamlūl about the differences in writing in the Qur’anic rasm. The results of this study reveal that the i'jāz rasm in the Qur'an that focuses on the words hasanāt and sayyiāt is not only related to the differences in writing that may violate Arabic writing in general which shows the uniqueness of the Qur’an alone, but also to the depth of moral messages and implied meanings conveyed through the differences in the writing of the words hasanāt and sayyiāt.

Abstract

The cancel culture phenomenon on social media encourages people to quickly judge and boycott individuals without an adequate clarification process, which is contrary to Islamic teachings regarding justice and information verification (tabayyun). This research aims to examine cancel culture from a hadith perspective, especially in the context of judgment ethics in the digital era. Using qualitative methods with a content analysis approach to several hadiths, this research found that the Prophet's teachings recommend caution in disseminating information and prohibition of making judgments without a clear basis. These hadiths teach that a Muslim must try to understand the context and facts thoroughly before passing judgment or acting. Analysis shows that actions in cancel culture often violate these principles, by prioritizing prejudice, emotion and social pressure over fair and wise judgment, as recommended by the hadith. This research contributes to providing guidance for the community to use social media wisely in accordance with Islamic teachings, as well as assisting authorities and religious institutions in formulating ethical guidelines for the use of social media in the midst of the rampant cancel culture phenomenon.

Abstract

Metode Iqra merupakan cara yang marak digunakan di masyarakat terutama di desa karena eksistensinya yang telah lama muncul, tak terkecuali di Madrasah Diniyah. Namun, terdapat perbedaan efektivitas metode ini di Madrasah Diniyah. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan wawancara dan observasi dengan analisis komparatif serta menggunakan teori sosiologi struktural fungsional Emile Durkheim. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui persamaan dan perbedaan pola sosialisasi Al-Qur’an melalui metode Iqra di MDTA Nurul Iman dan Nurul Hikmah serta menganalisis efektivitas metode iqra terhadap kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persamaan kedua MDTA ini adalah menggunakan Iqra versi lama, terdaftar di FKDT, santri yang mampu membaca Al-Qur’an mendapat ranking di sekolah, internal santri diklaim sebagai faktor utama tidak mampu membaca Al-Qur’an dan metode pengajaran. Sedangkan perbedaannya terletak pada jumlah santri yang mampu membaca Al-Qur’an, waktu mengaji, SDM dan fasilitas serta dukungan orangtua. Metode Iqra dinilai efektif untuk membaca Al-Qur’an karena mudah dan sistematis. Namun, terkadang keefektifitasan Iqra berkurang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yakni konten buku Iqra lama yang masih digunakan, waktu mengaji yang kurang sementara santri banyak, metode penyampaian guru, psikologis siswa yang lebih gemar bermain serta kurang rajin, keluarga yang kurang mendukung serta lingkungan teman dan gadget. Adapun faktor guru menjadi faktor utama yang dapat melahirkan faktor lainnya. Sebab dalam teori sosiologi struktural fungsional, guru menjadi posisi dominan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the urgency of philosophy of science in the context of human civilization with epistemological analysis. An important part in creating and advancing human civilization is played by the philosophy of science. A thorough understanding of epistemology, the field of philosophy that deals with theory, offers a critical perspective on how people learn and develop science. With a focus on the epistemological viewpoint that serves as the foundation of scientific thinking, this article examines the importance of philosophy of science in relation to the advancement of human civilization. To gain a comprehensive understanding, this research uses descriptive qualitative research with a literature review. This study shows how the philosophy of science can guide human civilization towards more sustainable, knowledge-based and equitable growth. Philosophy of science plays a very important role in shaping human understanding of knowledge and the development of scientific methodology. Through critical analysis of basic concepts and epistemological approaches, philosophy of science helps us evaluate the validity of knowledge and the methods used in research. With the growing complexity of challenges facing humanity, such as climate change and social injustice, the critical thinking taught by philosophy of science is becoming increasingly relevant. In addition, philosophy of science contributes to innovation by encouraging reflective and interdisciplinary approaches in research. Therefore, the urgency of philosophy of science in the context of human civilization lies in its ability to facilitate ethical dialogue, encourage sustainable innovation, and ensure that the knowledge produced is relevant and beneficial to the whole of society.

Abstract

This study aims to look at how the Al-Quranic Science and Tafsir (IAT) Department at Raden Fatah State Islamic University and Raden Intan State Islamic University are making it easier for students to do research. This type of research is library research with a qualitative approach. The method used in this study is descriptive, namely revealing data through a person's dialogue, either orally or in writing, and behavior that can be observed. Taking all of this into account, the study's results show that the way IAT students at the two universities do research is still the most common way to do research in libraries. This can be seen in some of their research, both in the study of themes, the thoughts of Mufassir, the study of the book of interpretation, and the method of the book of interpretation. While the methods used in their research are tafsir-related, they are analysis, comparison, and thematic. In the meantime, field studies or the living Qur'an have not been the most common way to do research. The classification of student research includes three things: thematic themes, comparisons, and character studies. Second, to strengthen the capacity of students in research, several activities are carried out, including training activities for writing scientific papers by strengthening research methods, followed by the practice of writing scientific papers through the writing class program. The goal is to help students improve their writing skills and successfully publish articles in national journals, as well as to publish anthologies and Bunga Rampai Books on Religion & Society, Revealing Various Phenomena of Tradition, and Religious Problems. IAT students also take part in an academic writing class called ATLAS (Academic Writing Class). The writing class training results in students being able to become resource persons at international seminars held in the PTKIN environment.
