Abstract

Paper ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan hasil analisis kedalaman dan keterkaitan antar konsep pada materi interaksi makhluk hidup dengan lingkungan dan materi pencemaran lingkungan yang disampaikan oleh guru kepada siswa SMP dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh. Guru yang menjadi subjek penelitian berjumlah tiga orang yang menggunakan media yang berbeda dalam menyampaikan materi. Guru pertama menggunakan kombinasi WhatsApp dan Google Classroom, Guru kedua menggunakan kombinasi WhatsApp dan Zoom, dan Guru ketiga menggunakan kombinasi WhatsApp dan E-learning sekolah. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menganalisis pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh ketiga guru dan materi yang disampaikan, serta didukung dengan hasil wawancara dengan guru. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, baik Guru pertama, kedua, maupun ketiga masih terbatas dalam menyampaikan konsep, baik dalam segi durasi penyampaian konsep maupun banyaknya sub konsep yang disampaikan. Guru hanya sebatas menjelaskan pengertiannya saja disertai contoh tanpa membahas lebih lanjut konsep tersebut, serta keterkaitannya dengan konsep-konsep yang lain. Sangat jarang sekali guru mengaitkan antar konsep, sehingga konsep-konsep yang disampaikan terkesan berdiri sendiri dan tidak memiliki keterkaitan dengan konsep yang lain. Konsep yang disampaikan ketiga guru didominasi oleh konsep-konsep yang seharusnya sudah diajarkan di jenjang SD, namun diajarkan kembali di jenjang SMP.Kata Kunci: kedalaman konsep, keterkaitan antar konsep Depth analysis and relationships between concepts in natural science learning during the pandemic  Abstract: This paper is aimed to show the results of the analysis of the depth and interrelationships between concepts in the topic on interaction of living things with the environment and environmental pollution material that was delivered by the teacher to junior high school students in distance learning. There were three teachers who became the research subjects, all of which used different media in delivering the material. The first teacher uses a combination of WhatsApp and Google Classroom, the second teacher uses a combination of WhatsApp and Zoom, and the third teacher uses a combination of WhatsApp and school E-learning. The research was conducted by analyzing the learning carried out by the three teachers and the material presented, and supported by the results of interviews with teachers. The results of this study indicate that both the first, second, and third teachers are still limited in conveying concepts, both in terms of the duration of concept delivery and the number of sub-concepts delivered. The teacher is only limited to explaining the meaning accompanied by examples without further discussing the concept, as well as its relation to other concepts. It is very rare for teachers to link between concepts, so that the concepts conveyed seem to stand alone and have no connection with other concepts. The concepts presented by the three teachers were dominated by concepts that should have been taught at the elementary level, but were taught again at the junior high school level.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the differences in perception and interest of physics education students of FKIP Jambi University towards e-module Mathematics Physics reviewed based on gender differences. This research uses a type of quantitative research, namely survey research. The instrument that has been used is the perception questionnaire. Furthermore, the data obtained is analyzed using descriptive statistics, and inferential statistics, namely assumption tests (normality tests and homogeneity tests) and hypothesis tests (one-way ANOVA tests) with Scheffe advanced tests. Sampling is done using the total sampling technique because the number of samples used is equal to the population of 91 students of physics education at FKIP Jambi University. The results of this study are differences in students' perceptions and interests of the Mathematics Physics e-module, namely the average student's perception of the Mathematics Physics e-module, which women in class B best own, and the average student's interest in the Mathematics e-module. The female in class B also owns the best physics.

Abstract

Learning activities always develop following the needs of the times. Some skills, such as critical thinking, need to be possessed by 21st-century individuals. This study aims to analyze critical thinking skills of students who learn collaboratively based on the Science, Technology, Society, and Environment (STSE) learning approach. A posttest nonequivalent control group design was adopted in this research. Through cluster random sampling, 68 students at one public senior high school in Sleman Yogyakarta, participated as a research sample, which divided into 2 classes. Students in experimental class (N=35) has been learn about electrolyte nonelectrolyte topic through collaborative learning based STSE approach. While, the other students in the control class (N=34), taught by student center learning. In the fifth meetings, students’ critical thinking skill was measured as a research data through an essay questions instruments that has been empirically validated. Afterwards, research data were analyzed using independent sample t-test. Moreover, the p-value shown in the analysis results was 0.009. This result is sufficient to indicate that at the 95% confidence level there is a significant difference in students' critical thinking skill between the experimental class and the control class. The partial eta squared value shows that STSE learning approach has an effect to fostering students’ critical thinking in learning chemistry, in this research there was 9.8% effect that can be highlighted.

Abstract

For Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) students, the introductory science concept course is part of the compulsory course. The understanding of PGSD students in basic science concepts will affect the quality of learning in the classroom. This research was conducted in odd semesters with 60 students who attended lectures on basic science concepts, and the sample selection was made randomly. To collect data on the effectiveness of the implementation of CCT, instruments used in the form of cognitive and clinical test questions have gone through validation and reliability tests. Students were divided into two groups in the study: the experimental group using CCT-based contextual learning as teaching materials and the control class using ordinary teaching materials. Based on the N-Gain data found in the field, there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups; the control class had an N-Gain value of 0.54, while the experimental class was 0.81. The data revealed that learning using CCT successfully increased students' understanding of concepts in the material cycle and created a better environment compared to the control class. However, based on interview data, both experimental and control class students were interested in learning the concept of the energy cycle and environmental pollution, and there was no significant difference.

Abstract

Digital literacy-based learning is needed for deaf students in understanding style and motion topics. Application assisted learning in the form of e-books is specially designed for the deaf with an attractive design, accompanied by visual animations of the application of style and motion in everyday life. Thus, the understanding of the topic obtained is not only through text. But animations of every kind of style and examples. This research aims to develop and determine the feasibility of digital literacy-based learning designs for deaf teenagers. The development method used in this research is the Dick, Carey and Carey development model with nine stages. The results of this research are a digital literacy-based learning design for style and motion topics for deaf adolescents referring to the 2013 curriculum. 80% percentage, topic expert validation shows 83,5% percentage, and 82.25% special education expert validation. So, the development of digital literacy-based learning designs for the deaf meets the feasibility needs.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dampak PjBL dengan pendekatan STEM terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan self efficacy peserta didik. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis quasi experiment dengan Nonequivalent Control Group Design, melibatkan dua subjek penelitian yaitu experiment class and control class. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X IPA SMA Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 2 kelas, pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan test essay berpikir kritis dan angket skala likert. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan ANOVA test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pretes dan postes kelas eksperiment sebesar 64,96 menjadi 84,24. Model PjBL dengan pendekatan STEM mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan self efficacy peserta didik yang ditandai adanya peningkatan skor rata-rata pretes dan postest pada tiap indikator dari 60,86 menjadi 81,22. Peningkatan skor pretes dan postes dengan N-Gain sebesar 0,55 atau 31% mengindikasikan terjadinya peningkatan dalam skala sedang. Disisi lain, rata-rata angket Self Efficacy kelas eksperimen mencapai sebesar 93% dangan kategori sangat tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model PjBL – STEM terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan self efficacy peserta didik kelas X pada materi ekosistem. An analysis of students' critical thinking skills and self-efficacy: The influence of PjBL-STEM on ecosystem learning materials Abstract: This research aimed to determine the influence of the PjBL model with the STEM approach on students' critical thinking skills and self-efficacy. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a nonequivalent control group design. This research also involved two research subjects, namely the experimental class and the control class. The population of this research was the tenth-grade students of SMA Gajah Mada Bandar Lampung. The samples were determined using the cluster random sampling technique. In collecting the data, the researchers employed a critical thinking test and a Likert scale questionnaire. The research data were analyzed using the ANOVA test. The results showed that the experimental class’s average score on the pretest experienced an improvement, from 64.96 to 84.24. The PjBL model with the STEM approach improved students' critical thinking skills and self-efficacy. The improvement was marked by the average pre-test and post-test scores improvement for each indicator, from 60.86 to 81.22. The improvement of pretest and posttest scores determined by the N-Gain test was 0.55 or 31%. Furthermore, the average self-efficacy score obtained by the experimental class was 93% within the excellent category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the PjBL model with the STEM approach influenced the tenth-grade students' critical thinking skills and self-efficacy on ecosystem learning materials.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to produce a valid, practical and effective Ispring Quizmaker Application Assisted Instrument. The development model of the assessment instrument used is the Plomp model which includes three stages of development, namely: preliminary research (preliminary research), the development phase or prototype (development of prototypephase), and the assessment phase (Assessment phase). The results of the study have produced a valid, practical and effective Ispring Quizmaker application-assisted assessment instrument. The instrument is valid both in terms of material, construction, media and language with an average value of 78.76% with a very valid category. The practicality of the media has an average value of 92.06% with a very practical category, while for the effectiveness of understanding physics concepts based on questions per item of indicators understanding the concept of 65, 11% with the effective category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh perangkat e-learning materi gerak melingkar menggunakan Learning Management System Chamilo yang valid, praktis dan efektif untuk pembelajaran fisika materi gerak melingkar. Subjek penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Banyuasin 1. Metode penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model Alessi dan Trollip terbagi dalam tiga tahapan yakni tahap perencanaan, tahap desain, dan tahap pengembangan. Pembuktian validasi dalam studi ini terdiri dari media, konten, dan desain pembelajaran. Hasil validasi menunjukan bahwa perangkat e-learning sudah valid dan layak untuk diuji cobakan. Uji kepraktiksan berdasarkan penilaian dari sudut pandang peserta didik menunjukan bahwa media yang dikembangkan memiliki kepraktisan sebesar 88,10%. Uji efektivitas diperoleh penilaian melalui N-gain sebesar 0,627 dengan kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa perangkat e-learning mempunyai nilai valid, praktis, dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran fisika materi gerak melingkar. Development of e-learning for circular motion topics using LMS Chamilo Abstract: This research is aimed to obtain a valid, practise, and effective e-learning media for learning circular motion topics using Chamilo's Learning Management System. The subjects of this study was students of science class in Senior High School in Banyuasin 1. The research method used in this research is development research using the Alessi and Trollip development model which consists of three stages, namely the planning stage, design stage, and development stage. Validation in this study includes media, content, and learning design. Based on the results of validation, the media was valid and feasible to be tested. The practicality test in accordance with students' feedback on the media show that the developed media has a practicality of 88.10%. The effectiveness of media was proved through N-gain score of 0.627 with a moderate category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the e-learning device that has been developed has valid, practical, and effective value against the learning of circular motion matter physics in SMA Negeri 1 Banyuasin 1.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian dan pengembangan adalah mengetahui karakteristik dan menguji kelayakan modul berpikir kritis terintegrasi nilai islam dan kemuhammadiyahan pada materi sistem reproduksi. Metode penelitian menggunakan Research Development (RD) dengan model Borg Gall yang telah dimodifikasi menjadi tujuh tahap. Validasi produk dilakukan oleh ahli materi, ahli perangkat dan evaluasi pembelajaran, ahli pengembangan dan desain modul, ahli bahasa, ahli Al-Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan serta praktisi pembelajaran biologi. Subjek uji coba kelompok kecil adalah 30 mahasiswa semester 6 Pendidikan Biologi Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan menunjukkan: (1) produk dikembangkan merujuk pada aspek berpikir kritis menurut Facione, diintegrasikan dengan ayat-ayat Alquran dan Hadist, dan divisualisasikan pada tujuan pembelajaran, materi pembelajaran, kegiatan pembelajaran, dan soal evaluasi proses pembelajaran; (2) modul yang dikembangkan memiliki kualifikasi yang baik dan layak untuk digunakan. Development of a reproductive system module based on integrated critical thinking of Islamic and Muhammadiyah Values Abstract: The purpose of research and development is to determine the characteristics and to test the feasibility of the critical thinking module integrated with Islamic values and muhammadiyahan in the material of the reproductive system. The research method uses Research Development (RD) with the Borg Gall model which has been modified into seven stages. Product validation was carried out by material experts, learning equipment and evaluation experts, module development and design experts, linguists, Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah experts and practitioners of learning biology. The small group trial subjects were 30 6th semester students of Biology Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Palembang. The results of the research and development show: (1) the product developed refers to the critical thinking aspect according to Facione, integrated with the verses of the Koran and Hadith, and visualized in the learning objectives, learning materials, learning activities, and evaluation questions of the learning process; (2) the developed module has good qualifications and is suitable for use.

Abstract

 This study aims to determine the differences and the relationship between interest and science process skills with 80 female students and 56 male students. This research uses quantitative methods so that this research is more systematic and objective. The sampling technique used in this study used simple random sampling. Analysis of the data used using hypotheses in the form of normality, linearity and homogeneity tests and assumption tests in the form of T test and correlation test. From the results of the T test and correlation test, it was found that there were differences and relationships between the sexes in the interests and skills of class VIIA and VIIB. In this case it is evidenced by a significant value 0.05. Thus, the higher the interest of students, the higher the skills of students according to their gender. It can be said that success can be seen from the level of understanding, mastery of the material, and student achievement. The higher the understanding and mastery as well as learning achievement, the higher the level of learning success.
