Abstract

Teachers who are joined the deliberation of Arabic subject teacher at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Malang had several problems in Arabic learning which were the students found the Arabic learning process was difficult, some students in grade seven did not graduate from Madrasah Ibtidaiyah or haven’t a prior foundation in Arabic. Therefore, the researcher compiled a language game book to provide illustration to the students that Arabic is an easy and fun lesson. The purpose of this research is: to describe the compiling of conventional media-based language game book for Arabic book, to find out the feasibility of the compiling book, and to find out the effectiveness of the compiling book. Method of the study applied is Research and Development the ADDIE model. The study results: 1) The conventional media-based language game book contains of language game steps. Each game includes the game objectives, time duration, game nature, equipment, game material, game preparation, game procedure, and game example. 2) The developed book is valid for use, reaching a good criterion from a material expert and design expert, and reaching a very good criterion from an Arabic teacher.3) The result of t-count is greater than the value of t-table, which is 5.56 2.16, meaning that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected hence it can be said that conventional media-based language game book is effective in increasing students’ competence in the Arabic learning at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Malang.

Abstract

This research examines the drawbacks associated with ChatGPT, a smart writing assistant chatbot, within the context of student writing. Employing qualitative methods, notably in-depth interviews with 30 participants, the study meticulously analyzes the challenges and constraints entailed in relying on ChatGPT for writing assistance. Centered around five key themes — understanding, dependency, feedback, writing style, and plagiarism — the findings clarify that students struggle with comprehending ChatGPT's output, potentially leading to confusion and misinterpretation. The feedback provided by the AI writing assistant emerges as generic and lacking specificity, constraining its efficacy in guiding students' writing processes. Participants report an obvious shift towards more predictable and impersonal writing styles attributed to their usage of ChatGPT—furthermore, apprehensions surface concerning the unintentional risk of plagiarism when leveraging the tool. The implications underscore educators' need to acknowledge the limitations of AI writing assistants, offering targeted support to help students navigate these challenges while fostering critical thinking, creativity, and independent writing skills. The findings promote ongoing research and improvement in AI writing assistants to improve understanding, elevate feedback quality, and address identified limitations. By mitigating these drawbacks, educators, students, and developers can optimize the utility of AI writing assistants, ensuring they serve as valuable tools for supporting writing development while upholding critical thinking, creativity, and ethical writing practices. This research not only reveals the drawbacks of ChatGPT as a writing assistant but also advocates for continual research and development in the field of AI writing assistance.

Abstract

This research examines the relationship between teacher competence and the quality of students in secondary schools. Teacher competency, which includes pedagogical knowledge, teaching skills, and professional attitudes, is considered a key factor in determining the quality of education. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a correlational approach, and data was collected through literature study. The results of the analysis show that teacher competence has a significant influence on the quality of students in various aspects, including academic achievement, social skills, emotional well-being and moral development. Strong pedagogical competence in teachers is correlated with increased student academic achievement, while teacher personality and social competence plays an important role in developing students' social skills and morality. These findings support previous literature which emphasizes the importance of teacher competence in education. This research suggests that teacher professional development programs should focus more on strengthening all aspects of competency to improve the quality of education holistically. The implications of this research are highly relevant for policy makers and educational practitioners in designing more effective interventions to improve educational outcomes.

Abstract

This study was conducted to explore students' perceptions of using vlogs as a medium for English vocabulary acquisition. The research employed a qualitative method, specifically narrative inquiry. Data were obtained through interviews with students from a private institution who had participated in English language learning using vlogs. The findings of this study indicate that the implementation of vlogs as an interactive medium has numerous advantages and is highly significant. One of the key advantages is that vlogs can enhance students' motivation and interest in learning English vocabulary. Another advantage is that students find enjoyment in the learning process and can immediately apply the vocabulary they have learned within their vlogs. Lastly, as a project-based learning medium, vlogs enable students to better understand the usage of English vocabulary and enhance their self-confidence. The researcher also observed the participants' enthusiasm when using vlogs for learning and expressed the hope that this medium could be implemented across all subjects

Abstract

This case study research explores the integration of religious moderation within setting of EFL (English as a Foreign Language) classrooms, specifically in an Islamic Junior High School. The primary objective of this study is to investigate the religious moderation integration into the educational process and to capture the perspectives of both teachers and students. The study employed qualitative approach particularly case study research design which was conducted within one of Islamic junior high school in East Java. Ten students and four English teachers were selected using purposive sampling to participate in the study. Data was collected through interviews, documentation, and observation. The results indicate that religious moderation has been effectively integrated into the teaching and learning process, including lesson planning and thematic material, by the teachers. Tolerance, anti-violence, accommodating to tradition/culture, cultural sensitivity, and open mindedness were the aspect of religious moderation found in EFL classroom.The perception of the teachers on the integration of religious moderation in EFL classrooms are linked to their roles as educators, the act of students, and the diverse backgrounds of the students. Students have reported that the integration of religious moderation has allowed them to gain insights into both appropriate and inappropriate aspects of another culture as they learnt English.

Abstract

This paper explains the analysis of the awareness level of ninth-grade students at MTs al-Ittihadiyah Medan regarding the importance of learning Arabic in the educational environment. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through direct observation and semi-structured interviews with ninth-grade students of MTs Al-Ittihadiyah Medan. The findings of this research are as follows. First, ninth-grade students are not interested in participating in Arabic language learning at school. Second, ninth-grade students at MTs Al-Ittihadiyah are less aware of the importance of Arabic language learning at school. By analyzing the awareness level of ninth-grade students at MTs al-Ittihadiyah Medan regarding the importance of learning Arabic, it will help teachers in building students' interest in learning Arabic not only from the aspect of material presentation or teaching methods but also by instilling awareness in students at the beginning of the lesson about the purpose and importance of learning Arabic in school.

Abstract

This research falls under the category of descriptive qualitative research, aiming to systematically, realistically, and accurately uncover results by explaining each discovered aspect. The study focuses on understanding criterion-referenced assessment (CRA) and its application at Muslim Cendekia Batu Elementary School. The data in this research comprises primary and secondary data. Primary data were directly obtained from the research subjects, namely the Arabic language teachers at Muslim Cendekia Batu Elementary School, while secondary data were acquired from observations and document studies relevant to the research topic. Data collection was conducted through interviews and documentation. After data collection, the analysis was performed using descriptive analysis techniques according to Miles and Huberman. This technique involves three steps: (1) data reduction, which includes collecting, filtering, and systematically organizing data; (2) data display, which involves identifying meaningful patterns and relationships to draw conclusions; and (3) conclusion drawing or verification, which entails summarizing and verifying the results obtained from the analyzed data Criterion-referenced assessment (CRA) is a measurement method using specific standards where students are compared against predetermined standards within learning objectives. The purpose of CRA is to accurately measure the achievement of competencies set as success criteria, identifying what each individual has mastered and not mastered. CRA is applied in Arabic language learning at Muslim Cendekia Batu Elementary School through various methods, including project assessments and the results of daily tests and final exams.

Abstract

Learning Arabic at Cendikia Batu Muslim Elementary School uses textbooks interestingly enough, the books used belong to the foundation itself. This matter It is proven that the books used make children enthusiastic about learning and grades they exceed the minimum completeness criteria, so this research aims to determine the effect of using Arabic language learning modules on results students studying at Cendikia Batu Muslim Elementary School. This research uses quantitative research with a correlation method Simple Random Sampling technique. Sample In this study there were 29 fifth grade students at Cendikia Muslim Elementary School. With research instruments are questionnaires and documentation. Based on the results of data analysis using the product moment correlation test with significance level of 5% which shows that the rcount value is 0.379 > rtable 0.344 with the level of correlation is weak and there is no negative sign (-) in the rcount with calculations the coefficient of determination is 14.4%. Thus, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship with variable use of Arabic language learning modules on class student learning outcomes V SD Muslim Cendikia Batu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi profesional, beban kerja, dan komitmen kerja terhadap kinerja guru, dengan mempertimbangkan peran kepuasan kerja sebagai variabel intervening. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian ex-post facto. Pengambilan sampel non-probabilitas. Metode menggunakan teknik purposive sampling digunakan dengan mengambil sampel sebanyak 58 guru. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang terdiri dari skala Likert 5 poin. Analisis PLS-SEM digunakan untuk menganalisis data dan menguji model konseptual. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi profesional dan beban kerja dapat mempengaruhi kinerja guru secara langsung maupun tidak langsung dengan melibatkan kepuasan kerja. Sedangkan komitmen kerja tidak dapat mempengaruhi kinerja guru secara signifikan tanpa adanya kepuasan kerja. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar sekolah dan pemerintah memberikan dukungan dan kesempatan kepada guru untuk terus mengembangkan kompetensinya melalui pelatihan, lokakarya, dan program pengembangan profesi lainnya. Evaluasi beban kerja guru. Meningkatkan rasa kepemilikan dan keterlibatan guru terhadap pekerjaannya melalui program pengakuan, pembinaan karir, penciptaan lingkungan kerja yang mendukung, dan sebagainya. Survei berkala juga perlu dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat kepuasan kerja guru. Langkah-langkah tersebut diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kinerja guru yang pada akhirnya berdampak positif terhadap mutu pendidikan secara keseluruhan

Abstract

A dyslexic child experiences a common obstacle in the learning process due to having difficulty reading and recognizing letters (corrective and remedial readers). If left unchecked, the potential of dyslexic children will be hampered because reading is a basic human ability. Therefore, in this study, researchers designed a learning media design that makes it easier for dyslexic children to recognize hijaiyah letters. The research method used is R&D using the ADDIE development model. The study that the researchers conducted was limited to the development of design, so the purpose of this study was to provide an overview of the design of multisensory mirror book media. The design is developed with a printed book-based that will maximize the function of the senses of sight and touch. Dyslexic children will be invited to learn while playing by reflecting hijaiyah letters on concrete objects found in everyday life. In their learning, they were also invited to play by attaching glitter to hijaiyah stickers and then touching them. His motor function was tested by rewriting hijaiyah letters and then checking the correctness of the writing using a mirror. In the future, the design developed by researchers can continue to be refined to help dyslexic children learn hijaiyah letters to make it easier and more fun.
