Abstract

This research seeks to examine the impact of the Global Islamic Stock Index (Dow Jones Islamic Market US) and macroeconomic factors (Inflation, BI Rate, Exchange Rate, and Money Supply) on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) acting as a moderating variable. Employing a quantitative methodology, the study incorporates descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing using the SmartPLS application to assess estimation outcomes. Secondary data from 2014 to 2023, including monthly Inflation, BI Rate, Exchange Rate, and Money Supply figures, taken from the official website of Bank Indonesia. Data for ISSI, DJIMUS, and DJIA were obtained from monthly closing prices on www.finance.yahoo.com. Findings reveal that DJIMUS exerts a significant negative influence on ISSI, while DJIA does not significantly moderate this relationship. Inflation and the BI Rate show no significant effects on ISSI; however, DJIA significantly moderates the BI Rate's influence on ISSI. The Exchange Rate has a significant negative impact on ISSI, whereas the Money Supply demonstrates a significant positive effect, though DJIA does not moderate its influence. The study focuses on monthly data from 2014 to 2023, limiting its reflection of daily or weekly stock market fluctuations. This research offers insights for academics and practitioners in Islamic finance and macroeconomics by exploring the interplay between global Islamic stock indices, macroeconomic indicators, and domestic Islamic stock indices, with consideration of global stock market moderation

Abstract

SMEs have proven to be fundamental to economic growth, especially in an emerging economy like Indonesia. They also reduce the unemployment rate because 99% of the businesses are categorized as SMEs. However, there are common SME problems: their capabilities to operate efficiently. This research uses multiple linear regression analysis to uncover the influence of entrepreneurial orientation (EO) on firms’ performance of food and beverage SMEs in Surabaya. Survey questionnaires were disseminated to managers, CEOs, and business owners of food and beverage SMEs in Surabaya. Moreover, each EO dimension will also be tested to identify their significance on firm performance. Market orientation (MO) was also tested to seek its influence on firms' performance and its mediation impact on the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and performance. The findings of this study were that overall EO positively influences MO and firms’ performance. Innovativeness, risk-taking, and autonomy of EO were significant to firms’ performance. However, the proactiveness and competitive aggressiveness of EO and MO were found not to have significance on firms’ performance. MO was also found not to mediate EO and firms’ performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine and determine the influence of work conflict, workload, and job stress on turnover intention, as well as to assess whether these factors affect the turnover intention of operational employees at PT. Nippo Mechantronics Indonesia. Data collection was conducted using a quantitative method and involved 54 respondents. Based on the research findings, the F-test results indicate that the calculated F-value (Fhitung) is 12.668, while the table F-value (Ftabel) is 2.790 at α = 0.05. This finding suggests that work conflict, workload, and job stress simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on turnover intention, leading to the acceptance of hypothesis H4. Partially, the t-test results show that the calculated t-value (thitung) for work conflict is 1.939, while the table t-value (ttabel) is 2.005 with a significance level of 0.086. Since thitung (1.939) < ttabel (2.005) and significance (0.086) > 0.05, work conflict does not have a partial effect on turnover intention, resulting in the rejection of hypothesis H1. Similarly, for workload, the calculated t-value (thitung) is 1.635, while the table t-value (ttabel) is 2.005, with a significance level of 0.108. Since thitung (1.635) < ttabel (2.005) and significance (0.108) > 0.05, workload does not have a partial effect on turnover intention, leading to the rejection of hypothesis H2. However, for job stress, the calculated t-value (thitung) is 2.577, while the table t-value (ttabel) is 2.005, with a significance level of 0.013. Since thitung (2.577) > ttabel (2.005) and significance (0.013) < 0.05, job stress has a positive and significant partial effect on the turnover intention of employees at PT. Nippo Mechantronics Indonesia, resulting in the acceptance of hypothesis H3.The adjusted R-square value of 0.432 represents the coefficient of determination, meaning that 43.2% of turnover intention can be explained by work conflict, workload, and job stress.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of sustainable financing, dividend policy, and capital structure on firm value, with a particular focus on the banking subsector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). A quantitative analysis approach is employed to ascertain the relationship between the independent variables namely, the sustainable financing ratio, the dividend payout ratio (DPR), and the debt to equity ratio (DER) and the dependent variable, firm value, which is measured by the price to earnings ratio (PER). The study employs panel data regression analysis using the R-4.4.2 software packages. The sample comprises seven banking companies, selected using purposive sampling, with a total of 21 observations derived from annual financial statements and sustainability reports covering the period 2021-2023. The findings demonstrate that sustainable financing exerts a substantial negative influence on firm value, indicating that an augmentation in sustainable financing can actually diminish the market value of the company. Similarly, dividend policy has also been found to have a negative effect on firm value, while capital structure has been observed to have a positive but statistically insignificant effect. It is anticipated that this study will provide insights for management and investors, emphasizing the importance of balancing these financial variables in decision-making in order to enhance company performance and investment strategies.

Abstract

This study examines the strategic decision-making process involved in expanding franchise minimarkets by pinpointing optimal locations for launching special product offerings. Utilizing the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), the research assesses eight alternative location types to establish priority rankings based on various decision criteria. Data were gathered through structured questionnaires administered to expert respondents, and pairwise comparisons were performed to evaluate the relative importance of both criteria and alternatives. The analysis identifies rest areas on toll roads as the most advantageous locations for expansion, followed by vertical residential complexes and office buildings. Among the criteria, potential customer volume and daily traffic flow proved to be the most influential factors in the decision-making process. Consistency ratio analysis verified the reliability of the AHP model. These findings offer actionable insights for franchise operators, highlighting the importance of targeting high-traffic locations to improve sales performance and operational efficiency. The study concludes that prioritizing rest area locations can significantly facilitate strategic growth and the effective placement of special products within existing minimarkets.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between employees' job satisfaction, cooperative schemes' benefits, and management practices in Southwest Nigeria. Through a mixed-methods approach, data was collected from 339 employees in various cooperatives of four selected agri-environmental institutions in the region. Results indicate that employees commonly access benefits such as loans and savings culture enhancement through cooperative schemes. Moreover, positive perceptions were found regarding cooperative schemes' management, with respondents expressing satisfaction with financial care and member involvement in decision-making. However, while overall job satisfaction levels were moderate, certain areas, such as job pride and recognition, received neutral responses. Correlation analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between cooperative schemes' management and job satisfaction (r = 0.307, p<0.01), while the relationship between cooperative schemes' benefits and job satisfaction was weak and statistically insignificant (r = -0.018, p>0.01). Based on these findings, it is recommended that organizations prioritize enhancing management practices, tailor benefits to employee needs, offer clear career development pathways and promote a positive work environment to improve job satisfaction and organizational success within cooperative schemes.
