Abstract

This study examines the deployment of customer visit and customer call methodologies at PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok Pangkal Balam and their impact on corporate image. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive design, data were gathered via observation, interviews, and documentation from purposively selected customer service personnel. The empirical findings reveal that customer visits bolster trust and personalization through face-to-face diagnostics, whereas customer calls optimize responsiveness and reliability by maintaining communication continuity. These outcomes align with Basofi who demonstrated that customer service drives corporate reputation through empathy and consistent communication (Basofi et al., 2017). Furthermore, subsequent literature indicates that service quality extends beyond perception management to drive concrete behavioral outcomes like loyalty. This is supported by Normalasari who confirmed that customer satisfaction stimulates positive word-of-mouth and repeat patronage (Normalasari et al., 2023). Collectively, the synergy of both methods creates an adaptive, long-term relationship-oriented service infrastructure. Theoretically, this research reinforces the relevance of interpersonal dynamics within Customer Relationship Management frameworks; practically, it offers strategic insights for port enterprises to integrate digital and human-centric approaches to sustain competitiveness.

Abstract

The growing importance of sustainability in the financial sector, particularly in Islamic banking, highlights the need to understand the behavioral drivers of green banking and investment. This study aims to examine the effect of employee engagement on green behavior in Islamic banks in Indonesia, with green employee involvement as a mediator and transformational leadership as a moderator. Using a quantitative approach, primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 80 employees and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that employee engagement has a significant influence on both green behavior and green employee involvement, while involvement also positively affects green behavior. However, green employee involvement does not mediate the relationship between engagement and behavior, and transformational leadership negatively moderates the link between engagement and involvement. These findings underscore the need to embed sustainability values in organizational culture and leadership practices to strengthen employee-driven ecological initiatives.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of product quality, price, place, and promotion on purchasing decisions, with brand image positioned as a mediating variable that reflects farmers' psychological evaluation of trust, perceived quality, and risk reduction toward pesticide brands. Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), all measurement indicators were confirmed to meet the required standards of convergent and discriminant validity, while composite reliability values exceeded 0.7, indicating strong construct reliability. The structural model demonstrates substantial explanatory power, with product quality, price, place, and promotion collectively accounting for 61.9% of the variance in brand image, and all independent variables explaining 69.5% of the variance in purchasing decisions. The hypothesis testing results reveal that brand image significantly mediates the relationship between product quality and purchasing decisions, suggesting that farmers' long-term trust in pesticide brands strengthens the effect of perceived product quality on their buying behavior. Brand image also significantly mediates the relationship between price and purchasing decisions, indicating that farmers' willingness to pay is shaped by brand-related trust built up through repeated experience, rather than by price considered in isolation. Theoretically, the study extends the Customer-Based Brand Equity and Stimulus-Organism-Response frameworks into an agribusiness input-purchasing context, showing that among risk-bearing agricultural producers, brand image operates primarily as a trust- and risk-reduction heuristic rather than as an identity- or status-signaling device, as is typically theorized in general consumer markets. The findings also show that farmers tend to remain loyal to familiar brands and prefer outlets that offer accessibility and consistent product availability. Promotional activities alone are insufficient unless supported by clear evidence of product superiority. Overall, the study highlights the importance of maintaining product performance, strengthening distribution channels, and building long-term brand trust to effectively influence purchasing decisions, while extending brand image theory into the underexplored context of agricultural input markets.

Abstract

Financial control is one of the strategic functions in financial management that plays a crucial role in maintaining organizational performance and sustainability amid increasingly complex business dynamics. Financial control functions not only as a monitoring tool but also as a mechanism to ensure that financial planning, budgeting, and the utilization of financial resources are carried out effectively and efficiently. It enables management to compare planned targets with actual outcomes so that deviations can be promptly identified and corrected. This article aims to examine the role of financial control as a strategic instrument in sustaining corporate performance and supporting long-term business sustainability. The research employs a qualitative approach through a literature review by analyzing financial management textbooks, national and international scholarly journals, and publications related to budgeting and financial control. The findings indicate that financial control integrated with the budgeting system enhances cost efficiency, improves cash flow management, and supports strategic managerial decision-making. Furthermore, effective financial control contributes to corporate financial stability, which serves as a primary prerequisite for sustainability. Therefore, financial control not only affects the achievement of short-term financial performance but also plays a significant role in ensuring the long-term continuity of the company.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of environmental perception, brand image and eco-promo on Z-generation repurchase intentions. The literature review of this study is based on consumer behavior and green marketing theory that emphasizes the importance of environmental value, brand awareness, and promotional communication in the formation of consumer loyalty. A quantitative approach was adopted in this study using questionnaire survey methods. The data was collected through a survey of 140 Z-generation respondents in Jakarta who had purchased it at the Matahari Department Store. The sampling method uses purposive sampling, and data analysis is carried out using a structural equation model based on the Partial Minimum Squared Method (SEM-PLS). The findings demonstrated that environmental awareness had a favorable but negligible impact on repurchase intentions, suggesting that environmental awareness alone is insufficient to promote repeat purchasing behavior in the absence of other cues. Repurchase intentions, on the other hand, were positively and significantly impacted by brand image and green campaigns. These results demonstrate that green marketing tactics can boost Generation Z customers' loyalty. In conclusion, businesses should focus on enhancing their eco-friendly brand image by ongoing sustainability initiatives and maximizing green promotions with alluring financial incentives like discount coupons.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of educational institution origin on the decision to accept fresh graduate employees in private companies in Palembang City. The study uses a quantitative approach with binary logistic regression on a sample of 200 respondents from 10 private companies in Palembang during March-December 2025. The results show that the prestige of the institution origin contributes significantly by 28% to the employee acceptance rate (β=0.92, p<0.01), with leading public universities like Sriwijaya University (UNSRI) increasing acceptance chances up to 3.2 times compared to other private universities. Supporting factors include QS employability scores, program accreditation, and strong alumni networks. This study recommends that local private universities enhance industry collaborations and employability skills development, while fresh graduates from non-leading institutions should leverage alumni networks and build strong project portfolios.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial intention among university students is an important factor in fostering young entrepreneurs who can contribute to economic growth and reduce graduate unemployment. However, students' entrepreneurial intention is influenced by various internal and external factors. This study aims to examine the influence of family environment and entrepreneurial attitude on entrepreneurial intention, with entrepreneurial motivation serving as a mediating variable among undergraduate Management students at Mercu Buana University. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected from 329 respondents selected through simple random sampling. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4 software. The findings indicate that both family environment and entrepreneurial attitude have a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intention. In addition, family environment and entrepreneurial attitude positively and significantly influence entrepreneurial motivation. Entrepreneurial motivation also has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intention and mediates the relationships between family environment and entrepreneurial intention as well as between entrepreneurial attitude and entrepreneurial intention. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening family support, fostering positive entrepreneurial attitudes, and enhancing entrepreneurial motivation to increase students' entrepreneurial intention. The results provide practical implications for higher education institutions in designing more effective entrepreneurship education and development programs to encourage students' entrepreneurial intention.
