Abstract

Background: VO2 max is a reference in determining the resistance of one's lung heart. An athlete should have good VO2 max. If an athlete has a low VO2 max, he will quickly experience fatigue so the quality of the sport is not optimal. But the average VO2 max Indonesian soccer athlete is still below the standard.. Objective: The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between Fe intake and hemoglobin level with VO2 max in soccer school students  Methods: is a clinical nutrition study with a cross sectional approach, a total sample of 30 soccer school students. Fe intake was obtained by the semi-quantitative food frequency method. The hemoglobin level was measured by the sianmethemoglobin method and VO2 max was measured by the multistage fitness test method. Relations between variables using the Pearson Product Moment and Rank Spearman correlation test.  Results: 60% of subjects consumed Fe were less, 66.7% had anemia and all subjects had low VO2 max. There is no correlation between Fe intake and VO2 max (p = 0.155). There is a relationship between hemoglobin level and VO2 max (p = 0.021). Conclusion : The higher the hemoglobin level, the higher VO2 max soccer school students.

Abstract

Background : Dyslipidemia is a lipid metabolism disorder, which is characterized by increased or decreased lipid fraction in the blood of increased total cholesterol levels, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, and decreased HDL cholesterol. Patients with dyslipidemia tend to have a higher risk of atherosclerosis. Objective : This study aimed to determine the effect of tomato lime juice on total blood cholesterol levels 0-60 years old women. Methods : This was true experiment study designed with randomized pre and post test control group design. The samples of this study were women aged 40-60 years were not diagnosed dyslipidemia with cholesterol total ≥150 mg / dl. The treatment group received tomato lime juice, for the control group did not get special treatment. The treatment study conducted for 21 days. Measurement of cholesterol levels before and after treatment using cholesterol test, blood sample retrieved after subject of the study had fasting for 10 hours long. Statistical analysis difference of post cholesterol content between treatment and control group analyzed by independent t-test. Multiple linear regression test ware used for predict the effect of nutrition intake toward cholesterol total level. Result : In the study of nutritional status of the sample included in the category of obesity (60.5%). The nutrient intake included in the deficit category. Total cholesterol levels in both groups before intervention did not differ (p = 0.937). Bivariate analysis, The treatment and control group of the study have difference in total cholesterol decreasing (p = 0.024). The mean decrease of cholesterol level in treatment and control group which are 18.35 mg / dl and 12.06 mg / dl. Multivariate analysis, cholesterol levels controlled with intake did not differ (p0.05) Conclusion : The tomato lime juice treatment affects the total cholesterol levels in the 40-60 years old women.

The number of research samples was 50 students and 50 control students. The data collected were BB, TB, consumption habits of western fast food, fast food consumption habits, and nutritional knowledge using the interview method using a questionnaire. To find out the relationship between variables used Chi-Square test and Fisher Exact test with 95% confidence level.Research Results: The results of the study showed that the frequency of western fast food consumption bulan 29 times / month in obese samples was 54% while the normal sample was 20%. The frequency of fast food local consumption≥71 times / month in obese samples was 56% while the normal sample was 14%. The level of knowledge of malnutrition in obese samples was 62% while the normal sample was 26%.Conclusion: There is a relationship between the consumption habits of western fast food with obesity (p = 0,000, OR = 4,694), there is a relationship between local fast food and obesity (p = 0,000, OR = 7.82), and there is a relationship between knowledge of nutrition and obesity (p = 0,000, OR = 4.64). It is recommended to carry out regular weight and height weighing and counseling activities related to obesity. One of the ways in which students are not saturated in extension activities is to use puzzle games because the delivery of nutritional messages becomes more fun and involves participating students actively in the game. Aim: To know the effectiveness of nutritional education with the media of puzzle to the knowledge, attitude, and practice of students related to snack food  at SDN Tlogosari Kulon 02 and SD N Pedurungan Lor 1.Method: this research type is Quasi Experiment with design time series design. Sampling using random sampling technique to get 30 treatment samples and 30 control samples. Data collected are knowledge, attitude and practice. The statistical tests used Paired t-test, Wilcoxon, independent t-test and Mann Whitney test.Result: there was a difference of knowledge and attitude of treatment group after giving education with puzzle media (p = 0,000, p = 0,030). There were no differences in practice in the treatment group and the control group after the intervention (p = 0.492 and p = 0.203). There is a significant difference of knowledge and attitude between treatment and control group (p value = 0,011; p value = 0,016). There was no significant difference in practice between treatment and control groups after intervention (p value = 0.152).Conclusion: the provision of  nutritional education with puzzle media can improve knowledge and attitude of students about food snack
