Abstract

Ghibah (backbiting) remains a common communication problem in educational environments, including those with strong religious values. This study aims to develop a Sharia-based model for controlling ghibah by integrating the Six Sigma (DMAIC) method and SWOT analysis to improve Islamic communication ethics. A mixed-methods approach was used, involving 235 educators from three types of institutions. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and observations, then analyzed using Six Sigma indicators along with thematic and SWOT analysis. The results show that ghibah behavior is still prevalent, especially in the form of involvement as both listeners and speakers. The initial sigma level (2.3–2.6) indicates weak behavioral control. After implementing interventions such as Islamic communication training, SOP development, and awareness programs, the sigma level improved to above 3.0 in several indicators. In conclusion, the integration of Six Sigma and SWOT within an Islamic ethical framework is effective in reducing ghibah behavior, although sustainable change requires continuous institutional support.

Abstract

The individual approach is becoming increasingly important in the digital era due to the easy accessibility of technology. The availability of this technology is a driving force for a society that demands a more flexible and relevant educational model, one that can be tailored (customized) to the learning style and unique needs of each individual. The objective of this research is to describe the implementation of the individual approach and to determine the effectiveness of this individual approach on improving students' learning outcomes in the subject of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 7 Palu, Palu City, Central Sulawesi. The main data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The qualitative data analysis is inductive, involving data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The validity of the data was checked using the triangulation technique. The results of the research show that the implementation of the individual approach by the PAI teacher at SMP Negeri 7 Palu is carried out by motivating students in character building, using the individual approach method to increase concentration and self-confidence, acting as a facilitator and guide, and giving homework to instill discipline and responsibility. Furthermore, regarding the effectiveness of the individual approach on improving students' learning outcomes, the improvement in learning outcomes is achieved through emotional contact by the principal and the PAI teacher to identify student issues, creating a comfortable atmosphere as a facilitator, providing motivation, and implementing positive habits.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Transformational Islamic Leadership in managing organizational change within Islamic educational institutions by analyzing how core Islamic leadership values—amanah (trustworthiness), justice, shura (consultation), and ukhuwah (brotherhood)—can be integrated with transformational leadership dimensions to support effective organizational transformation. This research employs a systematic literature review method by analyzing 25 peer-reviewed journal articles published within the last five years. The articles were selected based on relevance, quality, and alignment with the themes of Islamic leadership and organizational change, and were examined using thematic analysis to identify recurring patterns and conceptual relationships. The findings indicate that integrating Islamic leadership principles with transformational leadership dimensions-idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration-enhances teacher motivation, engagement, and professional development. However, challenges such as limited managerial support and cultural resistance remain barriers to effective implementation. This study contributes by proposing a conceptual framework that synthesizes Islamic leadership values with contemporary transformational leadership theory as a structured guide for organizational change in Islamic education, and it recommends future empirical studies to validate the framework across diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

Becoming proficient in English requires more than just knowledge of vocabulary and grammar rules; it also requires a positive attitude toward language learning. This study aims to investigate the students’ attitudes toward English learning. A quantitative approach was employed in this study, utilizing a data collection technique through a questionnaire survey. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The respondents of this study consisted of 75 students from three classes in the first semester of Islamic Education at State Islamic University Raden Fatah, who were taking the English Subject. In collecting the data, this study used Orwig's Language Learning Attitudes Questionnaire. The findings show that out of 75 students, 17 students (22.66%) slightly hold self-image; Twenty-nine students (38.66%) neither hold nor lack inhibition; Twenty-five students (33.33%) slightly lack risk-taking; Thirty-nine students (52%) neither hold nor lack ego permeability; Forty-two students (56%) slightly hold motivation; Forty-six students (61.33%) neither hold nor lack ambiguity. This study's findings demonstrate the vast diversity of psychological profiles that exist among students, encompassing attitudes toward inhibition, self-image, risk-taking, ego permeability, motivation, and tolerance of ambiguity. While the variances in slight to moderate endorsements or lack thereof reflect individual disparities in the students' psychological orientations, the prevalence of neutral attitudes suggests a degree of ambivalence or equilibrium in these psychological categories.

Abstract

Assessment is a fundamental component of the learning process, particularly in elementary education, where students’ skills must be measured authentically through project and performance assessment. However, teachers often face difficulties in managing, analyzing, and reporting assessment data due to manual processing, limited time, and heavy administrative workload. This study aimed to develop a Microsoft Excel–based template to analyze students’ skill assessment and examine its feasibility and usefulness in elementary school contexts. The research used a research and development approach at Sukawana Public Elementary School, Majalengka Regency. Data were collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation involving classroom teachers as users. The development process included needs analysis, design, development, and limited trials. Findings showed the template integrated indicators, rubrics, automated scoring, and data recap systematically. Teachers reported it was easy to use, reduced errors, and improved efficiency. The template is a practical solution, and further research should test broader implementation and online integration.
