Abstract

Efforts are being made to increase the strength or stability of porous asphalt mixtures by adding HDPE plastic waste. The reason for making HDPE plastic added material is that it has the same properties as asphalt, namely thermoplastic has a penetration value equivalent to pen 60/70 asphalt. This study aims to: (1) Describe the characteristics of the constituent materials of porous asphalt mixtures and (2) The effect of adding HDPE plastic to porous asphalt mixtures was reviewed based on the Marshall Test, Cantabro Loss, and Asphalt Flow Down. The research method uses experimental research in the laboratory. The research will be carried out using the Australian Asphalt Pavement Association (AAPA) 2004 approach. The research was carried out with pen 60/70 asphalt content, namely 4%, 4.5%, 5%, 5.5%, and 6% to find the value of asphalt content. optimum, then will be added with a ratio of HDPE material 0%, 2%, 4%, 6% and 8% to the total weight of KAO. The results of the Marshall characteristic analysis for porous asphalt mixtures with varying levels of 2% HDPE have met the specifications on the grounds that all parameters have met the requirements of the Australian Asphalt Pavement Association (AAPA 2004) with a VIM value at 2% content of 18.18%, for a VMA value of 29.40%, while the stability value is 640 kg and the flow value obtained is 2.30 mm while the MQ value is 284.63 kg/mm.

Abstract

The use of wood as a construction material is common throughout Indonesia. Based on this, wood material is easy to obtain and wood material itself can make buildings look more attractive. Wood as a source of materials for both construction and non-construction makes the price of wood increase and makes rainforests that function to protect the environment threatened with loss as well as the ecosystem in it. One material that is suitable for replacing wood is bamboo. Bamboo is easy to plant, breed, fast in growth, and of course the price is relatively cheap. The hollow or empty interior of bamboo often makes it difficult for users to utilise bamboo, therefore bamboo lamination technology is applied to facilitate the manufacture of building construction components. The purpose of this study is to determine the shear strength value of bamboo laminates using PVAc adhesive and epoxy resin adhesive and to determine the damage pattern on bamboo laminated beams after shear strength testing when using PVAc adhesive and Epoxy Resin adhesive. The tests carried out refer to SNI 03-3400-1994 using test specimens in the form of laminated bamboo beams with 2 variations of lamination, namely with PVAc and epoxy resin adhesives. Based on the tests carried out, the shear strength of laminated bamboo beams using epoxy resin adhesive is stronger with an average value of 6.7206 MPa compared to laminated bamboo beams using PVAc adhesive with an average value of 2.7949 MPa. The damage pattern that occurs in the adhesive part is damaged during maximum load with the bamboo slats detaching from the adhesive in the epoxy resin adhesive and in the PVAc adhesive the glue part is lifted.

Abstract

In the construction industry, concrete is an important component and is frequently utilized as a building material. Coarse and fine aggregate make up the majority of the content in concrete. Although some earlier researchers have replaced aggregate in concrete, advancements in industry and time have made it possible to replace aggregate with waste as well. The impact of substituting fine aggregate in a concrete mixture with a quality of 20 MPa with 25% and 50% crumb rubber is investigated in this study. Concrete's compressive strength was tested using cylindrical specimens that were aged 3, 7, 14, 21, and 28 days, while its flexural strength was tested using specimens in the shape of beams that were aged 28 days. The concrete compressive strength test reduced by 58.85% at a 25% crumb rubber content and by 78.73% at a 50% crumb rubber content, according to the test findings. Concrete's flexural strength, on the other hand, decreased by 23.66% and 49.23% for concrete with a 50% crumb rubber content and 25% crumb rubber content, respectively. This means that crumb rubber can be used in concrete mixtures for non-structural purposes. <w:LsdException Locked="false" Priority="50" Name="Gri

Abstract

Construction work, especially building construction, has a high risk of work accidents, because it involves many elements. Now in building construction projects, the importance of knowledge about K3 and the ability of workers has become a basic need. Attitudes towards occupational safety also have an important role, because they can reflect the level of attention a person has to work safety aspects. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze whether the knowledge and ability of building construction workers affect attitudes on accident risk. The approach applied is an associative approach. The population in this study is individuals involved in building construction, with the total population obtained is 44 respondents. Data is collected through the use of online questionnaires through the Google Form platform. After that, the data was analyzed using SEM-PLS 4.0 software. The results showed that there was a positive and significant influence between workers' knowledge of attitudes with a path coefficient value of 0.348. There is a positive and significant influence between the ability of workers to attitudes with a path coefficient value of 0.484. There is a moderate influence between workers' knowledge and ability on attitudes, as evidenced by the R2 value obtained 0.598.

Abstract

Building and non-building construction generally uses reinforced concrete using conventional methods. Over time, this method has evolved and given rise to other approaches such as precast and prestressed methods. However, these methods still have some drawbacks, such as the relatively high density of the material and its impact on other aspects of the structure. New innovations are emerging to solve these problems, such as super lightweight panels with a material density of around 650 kg/m3. This study aims to examine other structural components, namely beam and column structures by comparing the reinforcement requirements and deviation of two buildings with different types of floor plates. The tests were conducted using an analytical approach using ETABS software. The results showed that the average ratio of beam reinforcement between superpanel plate and conventional plate was 77% and column was 94%. The average ratio of X-direction deviation between superpanel plate and conventional plate is 94% and Y is 88%.

Abstract

Climate Central predicts that Banten's northern coastal land will disappear by 2030. Previously, Banten has lost more than 1 kilometer of its former land. The purpose of this research is to obtain a prediction model for the evolution of the coastline between Tanara Beach (Serang Regency) to Tanjung Kait Beach, Mauk (Tangerang Regency). The method used for this research is the One-Line Model method. Based on the coastline prediction model of segment 1, Tenjoayu progressed from 2025 to 2030. Shoreline retreat occurs significantly from 2020 to 2030 around Pedaleman. The modeled shoreline around Pedaleman to the western part of Cup Island progressed significantly from 2022- 2030. The shoreline in segment 2, East of Cup Island, progressed from 2025 to 2030. West of the Ci Manceuri Estuary, the coastline retreats significantly from 2022 to 2030. East of the Ci Manceuri Estuary, the coastline tends to stabilize. Around Tanjung Kait Beach, the shoreline pattern advances significantly each year from 2022 to 2030.

Abstract

The sluice gate is a measuring structure that controls the upstream discharge and water level. The varying height of the sluice gate opening will cause the water level to vary both upstream and downstream. The difference in water level upstream and downstream can potentially cause scouring downstream of the gate. This study aimed to determine the effect of the height of the sluice gate opening on the flow characteristics. This study used a research method in the form of a physical model on an open channel (flume) at the Integrated Laboratory of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University Sindangsari. The stages of this research included pitot pipe calibration and research of flow characteristics on the height of the gate opening with variations in the height of the sluice opening (9, 10, 11, 12, 13 cm). The sluice model used is made of wooden boards with the dimensions of the door width being 1/3 of the width of the channel. The results showed that the higher the sluice opening (a), the lower the upstream water level (H) and the greater the downstream water level (Y). While the upstream flow velocity (V0) was greater and the downstream flow velocity (V1) was getting smaller so were the upstream Froude numbers (Frupstream) and downstream Froude numbers (Frdownstream). The upstream flow is classified as sub-critical flow (Fr<1), while the downstream flow is classified as super-critical flow (Fr>1).
