Wahana-Bio is the a scientific Journal of Biology and its learning, published by the Program of Biology Education, Mathematics and Natural Science Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. This focuses on the delivery of information on the results of scientific research conducted by the internal and external academicians ULM especially in the field of Biology dan Biology Education. Journal "Wahana-Bio" covers all topics related to related to Biology (botany, zoology, microbiology, genetic, ecology, biotechnology, and related fields) and Biology Education (biology curriculum, teaching biology, instructional media, evaluation, and research and development). Published article published is the article the results of research, studies or critical and comprehensive scientific study on important issues and current job descriptions included in the journal. Wahana-Bio is the Journal of Biology and its learning, published by the Department of Biology Education, Mathematics and Natural Science Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. The journal is published twice a year in June and December, contains articles in the form of a review, the results of complete research or critical analysis study of Biology and Biology Education. Abstract

Karakteristik butir soal penting  diketahui agar mendapatkan umpan balik dan informasi yang berharga untuk  perbaikan, pembenahan dan penyempurnaan kembali butir-butir soal yang dikembangkan, sehingga pada masa-masa yang akan datang tes untuk mengukur hasil belajar yang dibuat dapat berfungsi sebagai alat ukur yang berkualitas tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan karakteristik butir soal instrumen penilaian kognitif mata pelajaran IPA SMP hasil pengembangan pada setiap sekolah, setiap jenis kurikulum, dan setiap akreditasi sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menganalisis karakteristik butir soal menggunakan teori tes modern. Lokasi penelitian di Sekolah menengah pertama atau Madrasah Tsanawiyah di Kabupaten Banjar sesuai cluster sampling. Data berupa hasil komparasi karakteristik butir soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa item fit memiliki kategori baik pada semua kurikulum, tingkat kesulitan tes dan daya beda memiliki kategori baik, distribusi respon jawaban memiliki kategori tidak baik, reliabilitas item memiliki kategori baik, dan kualitas tes memiliki kategori cukup baik.

Abstract

Berdasarkan survei lapangan ditemukan pola pandang dan tanggapan siswa yang berbeda-beda terhadap permasalahan bantaran Sungai Barito sesuai dengan perkembangan moral siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perkembangan moral dan karakteristik perkembangan moral siswa SMP terhadap penyelesaian masalah yang terjadi di bantaran Sungai Barito secara valid dan reliabel. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan metode penelitian kualitatif, subjek penelitian ada 8 orang siswa SMPN 1 Anjir Muara. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara dan trianggulasi. Analisis data dengan Reduksi data, Penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan Triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) Tahapan perkembangan moral siswa terhadap permasalahan bantaran Sungai Barito melalui penyelesaian masalah diperoleh 4 tahap teori TPMBSB. TPMBSB 1 subjek mampu memahami masalah dan membuat rumusan masalah tentang permasalahan dibantaran Sungai Barito, TPMBSB 2 subjek mampu memeberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan, TPMBSB 3 subjek mampu menggali/mengumpulkan data terhadap permasalahan, TPMBSB 4 siswa mampu melakukan pengecekan kembali atau membuat kesimpulan terhadap permasalahan. (2) Karakteristik perkembangan moral siswa terhadap permasalahan bantaran Sungai Barito melalui penyelesaian masalah berdasarkan hasil wawancara diperoleh tanggap siswa yang berbeda-beda, dimana setiap tanggapan siswa menunjukkan karakteristik dari tahapan perkembangan moral.

Abstract

Sumber belajar biologi adalah segala sesuatu, baik benda maupun gejalanya, yang dapat digunakan untuk memperoleh pengalaman dalam rangka pemecahan permasalahan biologi tertentu baik sudah dirancang maupun sudah tersedia. Salah satu sumber belajar biologi adalah Kebun Raya Purwodadi yang memiliki program pelayanan pendidikan lingkungan berupa pemanduan ilmiah, dimana kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah menyampaikan informasi ilmiah terkait koleksi tanaman di Kebun Raya Purwodadi. Diantaranya koleksi tanaman buah lokal Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendata jenis sekaligus potensi dari jenis tanaman buah lokal koleksi Kebun Raya Purwodadi yang dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar biologi berbasis konservasi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, sedangkan potensi pemanfaatan jenis tanaman berdasarkan wawancara dan studi literatur. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan, terdapat 96 jenis tanaman buah lokal dari 53 suku yang dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar biologi berbasis konservasi.

Abstract

Effort to improve students' understanding for microalgae in Botani Tumbuhan Rendah course was needed a media. A media help student especially in practice lesson. This media developed by research in various of microalgae around Lambung Mangkurat University. This study aims to describe the validity and legibility of media. This research refers to the 4D development model. The main subjects of the study were 2 experts to obtain validity data and for legibility test were 5 students of Biology Education department. Then data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study show that the developed microalgae media obtained an average validity of 93.8% which included very valid criteria, and for eligibility test by students obtained an average of 92.2% which included very good criteria. So all those media which developed can be used.

Abstract

Abstrak.Keanekaragaman jenis burung di rawa kalang Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Selatan (HSS) dapat dijadikan sebagai indikator karena kehidupan burung dipengaruhi faktor biotik dan abioti.kualitas lingkungan.Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis keanekaragamanjenis burung dan komposisi guild burung di kawasan rawa kalang.Melalui titik kelimpahan dan penjelajahan, burung kawasan rawa kalang diamati dan diidentifikasi visualdan didokumentasikan.Parameter yang didata adalah tipe habitat, jam dan menit kehadiran, nama spesies, dan jumlah individu. Data ditabulasidan dianalisis keanekaragaman jenisnya. Status perlindungan, konservasi,perdagangan, dan pemanfaatan  sumber daya pakan. Hasil pengambilan data dalam rangkaian kegiatan penelitian lapangan pada bulan Mei, Juli, dan Agustus 2017 mengidentifikasi 59 spesies burung dari 32 famili burung yang menggunakan habitat rawa kalang untuk beraktivitas. Tujuh belas diantara burung kawasan rawa kalang dilindungi PP No 7 Tahun 1999.Indeks keanekaragaman burung di kawasan rawa kalang sedang (H’ = 1,121). Komposisi guildyang paling banyak ditemukan adalah kelompok pemakan invertebrata dan vertebratasebesar 38,98%. Kata kunci: keanekaragaman, burung,rawa kalang,habitat, guild

Abstract

Intersection animals generally live on sandy shores or wet soil, living permanently by sticking, hiding away, and burrowing at the bottom of waters. The movement of intersection animals is limited to life in and at the bottom of the water, and is very sensitive to changes in the aquatic environment, so it can be used as a bioindicator of a waters. The aim of this research to identify the types and morphology of intersecting animals in Takisung Beach, Tanah Laut Regency. The study uses descriptive survey method with observation techniques for data collection. The research sample is an intersecting animal found in the research plot. The research plot was determined by the 6 point transect, distance of 5 m between points along 1,500 m. Data were analyzed exploratively using relevant libraries. The results showed that the intersection animals found consisted of 15 types namely: Aurelia aurita, Tachypleus tridentatus, Turritella communis, Cassis tuberosa, Oliva sayana, Murex trapa, Urosalpinx cinerea, Urosalpinx perrugata, Neritina violacea, Comarmondia gracilis, Cryptospira ventricosa, Erosaria miliaris, Anadra granosa, Paphia undulata, and Solen vaginalis.

Abstract

The presence of insects in an ecosystem varies widely, the diversity of insects in various agricultural lands can act as polydonature insects, pests, parasites, and predators for other insects. Referring to the role of insects, this study aims to determine what insects are present in various agricultural lands, to analyze insect diversity and to analyze environmental factors that influence the presence of insects. This research was conducted in Maubeli Village, North Central Timor Regency in July-August 2020. The sampling technique was carried out with pitfall traps, light traps and sweep nets, the data obtained were analyzed using the Shannon-Wiener diversity index. The research that has been carried out has found insects at the research location consisting of the families of Acrididae, Coccinelidae, Libellulidae, Mantidae, Nymphalidae, Papiolinidae, Pieridae, and Tettigonidae. The highest diversity of 11 families was found with the highest value H` = 1.34 and the lowest H` = 0.26. The results of measurement of environmental parameters at the research location show that morning, evening and night air temperatures range from 260C-280C, 270C-310C, 250C-360C, and humidity ranges from 60% -70%, soil pH ranges from 6 and soil moisture ranges from 2%.

Abstract

The environment is a natural laboratory that presents unique phenomena that humans must study. Plants in the surrounding environment can be used as learning resources and media to bring students closer to their learning objects. Learning by utilizing objects in the surrounding environment can help the learning process. The diversity of tree in the Lambung Mangkurat University campus can be used as a source of learning and support learning based on the concept of diversity. One of the learning media that can be developed is a field guide book to guide users when learning independently in the environment. This study aims to describe the validity of the results of the development of a field guide "diversity of trees in the Lambung Mangkurat University campus". The feasibility of the field guide book was obtained from two experts and one high school biology teacher. The results of the validator's input and suggestions become material for correction and revision of learning products. The results of the field guide book validation show that the product is very valid and theoretically or procedurally feasible to be used for implementation at a later stage.

Abstract

The application of models and methods that are not in accordance with the characteristics of teaching materials has an impact on the low activity of students. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of analyzing student activities after applying the direct instruction model with the mind mapping method. This research is a classroom action research with Hopkins design. This study consisted of two cycles with two meetings per cycle. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPA SMAN 11 Banjarmasin. Data collection techniques were obtained through observation. The results showed that student activity increased from 68.12% to 75.38% in the active category. It was concluded that the direct instruction model with the mind mapping method could increase the activity of class XI science students at SMAN 11 Banjarmasin.

Abstract

One of the competencies that must be possessed by a teacher is pedagogic competence. Pedagogic competence is related to the teacher's ability to carry out learning activities. The teacher is an important part in the implementation of the learning process in the classroom. Teachers have a role in preparing lesson plans as well as implementing these plans when managing learning in the classroom. Learning will take place well if the teacher has good pedagogic competence. This study aims to describe the teacher's ability to use the planned biology learning tools. Data collection in this descriptive study was carried out through observation techniques on the learning process for four face-to-face meetings. The research subject is a biology teacher at SMAN 2 Banjarbaru. The teacher is considered to have good competence in applying the biology lesson plan in the classroom seen from the implementation of the initial activity stages, core activities and final activities which show an average score of 3.89 referring to the specified rating scale.
