Abstract

In general, the Balinese who have a business selling pork roll still use technology manually where one person will spin the wand used to roast the pig and another fan of the pork roll until it gets a good grill. The time needed to produce one pig roll that is ready to be served on average takes around 3 hours. With the limitations of the technology manually, the servants, as well as researchers, have designed technology based on the automation of roasted pork roasting machines. The Brushed DC motor with a maximum rotation of 2750 rpm will be used to rotate the device with a variety of rotation of high, medium, and low speeds. In the design of this machine, there are 4 bolsters that can be roasted at the same time in the furnace. The distribution of heating in the combustion chamber will also be controlled automatically so that it can increase roast production in a faster time than before and a better quality of pork roll. With the application of this automatic roasting machine, it is expected that it can help restaurant entrepreneurs increase production, efficiently so as to increase profits.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan di desa Keramas, Kecamatan Blahbatuh, Kabupaten Gianyar ini pada intinya bertujuan untuk menekan angka kerugian ekonomi yang disebabkan oleh masalah kesehatan sapi bali. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu dalam bentuk pelayanan kesehatan dari rumah ke rumah berupa pemberian vitamin, obat cacing terhadap ternak yang sehat dan melakukan pengobatan terhadap ternak yang sakit, serta diskusi dengan peternak dalam hal ini manjemen pemeliharaan ternak (khususnya sapi bali), serta masalah lainnya seperti penyakit yang umum pada sapi bali dan masalah reproduksi sapi bali. Hasil yang didapat yaitu 20 (betina). Diharapkan melalui pengabdian ini, pada ternak sapi yang sakit akan terjadi peningkatan kesehatan sapi dan menekan angka kejadian penyakit, serta meningkatkan produksi dan kualitas daging sapi secara optimal sehingga program pemerintah yaitu swasembada daging sapi dapat terus terlaksana.

Abstract

Good and sufficient nutritional intakes are prerequisite to build a strong immune system against infectious diseases especially during the pandemic of COVID-19 that spread out widely since the early year of 2020. Currently socialization about COVID-19 have been emphasized on the preventive aspects such as washing hand with soap properly, using face mask and applying social distancing. However, these preventive aspects have not much focused on nutritional aspects. In order to build awareness of society on good nutritional intakes, this community service focused to build a group of cadres in collaboration with the women group (PKK) of Banjar Lebah Desa Sumerta Denpasar. The method of socialization was conducted via face to face meeting by still applying health protocols such as using face mask, washing hand with soap and physical distancing. Evaluation of the community service activity showed that cadres have displayed significant understanding about good nutritional intakes as indicated by increasing of post-test grades to 35% compared to the initial pre-test grades. These cadres were also successfully made yoghurt as the example of nutritional foods that can be consumed daily. In the future, these cadres were expected to actively socializing the importance of good nutritional intakes for their neighbourhood especially during the pandemic of COVID-19. Abstract

In order to prevent the spread of Covid 19 and the implementation of health protocols in the "New Normal" era, Eka Karya Botanic Garden produced a hand sanitizer with active ingredients of Piper (P. betle), Aloe vera (A. vera and citronella essential oil (C. winterianus). This hand sanitizer is made with active ingredients consisting of 96% ethanol, Piper leaf extract (P. betle), Aloe Vera gel (A. vera), and citronella essential oil (C. winterianus). All ingredients are mixed with a ratio of 80% ethanol and a mixture of Piper extract, Aloe vera gel, and essential oil as much as 30%. After that to determine the feasibility and acceptance of the respondents to the hand sanitizer produced, an acceptability test was carried out and an allergy test was required. This test was conducted on 83 respondents who were asked to use a hand sanitizer. Base on acceptability testing, it was found that 77 people (92.8%) liked this hand sanitizer product and 6 people (7.23%) did not like it. This result correlated with the allergy test results where as many as 5 respondents (6.02%) experienced allergies from mild to moderate. This product can be recommended as an antiseptic provided that you must pay attention to allergic reactions after use.

Abstract

Yoga disebut sebagai penyatuan dari badan dan pikiran untuk menyeimbangkan dan mengharmonisasi fungsi fisik dan mental dari tubuh. Yoga dipercaya mampu untuk menjawab berbagai permasalahan kesehatan lansia, terutama kesehatan mental seperti kecemasan yang paling banyak dialami lansia. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan pelatihan yoga kepada kelompok lansia di Komunitas Sadar Sehat Tabanan, yang terdiri dari dialog interaktif, pelatihan, dan pendampingan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini berlangsung dengan baik yang ditunjukkan dengan antuasiasme lansia dalam mengikuti kegiatan dan menurunnya nilai kecemasan lansia yang diukur dengan menggunakan kuisioner S-Anxiety Scale. Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat menjadi cikal bakal berdirinya kelas yoga rutin bagi kelompok lansia di Komunitas Sadar Sehat Tabanan.

Abstract

The prevalence of cardiovascular disease is an increase continuously in Indonesia, and as one of the leading causes of death. Several risk factors for cardiovascular disease are overweight, obesity, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and diabetes Mellitus. These risk factors are not only experienced by the urban community but also who live in rural areas. The purpose of this activity is to identify the risk factors of cardiovascular disease in adults and the elderly in the Demulih village. The risk factor data were collected by measuring blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), blood sugar levels, and total cholesterol levels. This activity followed by 80 respondents whose ages range from 41 to 87 years old, 48 male and 32 female. The BMI analysis shows that 40 % of the respondents categorized as overweight and obese. Blood pressure examination found 33,75 % of the respondent has above-normal blood pressure. Respondents with normal blood sugar only 45 %, and the rest need further examination. Cholesterol levels in the high and rather high categories were found in 8.75% of respondents. These data indicate that the prevalence of risk factors for cardiovascular disease is quite large in the Demulih Village community in the adult and elderly age groups.

Abstract

The total tourist arrivals in Buleleng Regency from 2012-2016 averaged 669,005 annually. Galungan Village is located in the District of Sawan, which has an area of 14.60 km2 with part of its territory contained State Forest covering an area of 582 Ha and traversed by several Watersheds. The method used to achieve these objectives is through mentoring in the field of education, ecotourism study simulations increasing human resources in the organization of tourism awareness groups and encouraging the formation of supervisory community groups, restocking giant prawns (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) and upstream endemic fish (waterfalls) as a tourist attraction. The potentials of Galungan Village are forests, rivers, and communities of that environment. Besides that, the climate of this village is potential for the development of a tourist village. The Galungan Village supervisor community has a very important role in managing the efforts to develop village tourism. Conservation of the environment through the maintenance and nursery of endemic fish in watersheds can be one factor to provide other attractions besides the beauty of the forest and waterfalls in Galungan Village

Abstract

Pada umumnya abon dibuat dari suwiran daging sapi atau daging ayam, namun saat ini telah berkembang aneka olahan abon yang lebih variatif dari aneka bahan seperti ikan, belut, udang, lele, telur dan masih banyak jenis abon lainnya. Peluang membuat usaha abon telur dilirik oleh salah satu kelompok usaha di desa Baluk, kecamatan Negara, kabupaten Jembrana. Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Pitik Jaya di Banjar Rening, desa Baluk mempunyai peluang besar mengembangkan usaha pembuatan abon telur, karena didukung oleh bahan baku telur itik dan telur ayam yang dihasilkan sendiri oleh kelompok usaha tersebut. Usaha pembuatan abon telur sudah dimulai pada tahun 2014. KWT Pitik Jaya mempunyai permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan effisiensi dan produktifitas dimana permasalahan ini disebabkan oleh alat/sistem penirisan minyak abon masih konvensional dengan menaruh abon diatas niru. Upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang ada, maka tujuan dan luaran dari kegiatan adalah merancang dan manufaktur mesin peniris minyak abon yang dapat menghasilkan produk abon telur lebih banyak dan lebih baik dibanding dengan penggunaan alat/cara konvensional. Mesin juga dapat dioperasikan untuk penirisan minyak produk yang lain. Tim berhasil merancang mesin peniris minyak abon multi fungsi dengan kapasitas 400 butir telur per hari. Jadi pemanfaatan mesin ini meningkatkan produktifitas mencapai 500% dan juga meningkatkan kualitas abon telur produksi KWT Pitik Jaya.

Abstract

Business opportunity is an important key in the marketing process because marketing will run smoothly if you get the desired business opportunity. The marketing system will be able to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of competitors, as well as the extent to which the ability to compete with them in all aspects, be it in terms of price, service and quality provided to consumers. Taro (Colocasia sp.), In Bali called keladi, is a food plant from tuber crops, including the taro tribe (Araceae) which is known as people's food and usually this taro when harvested is processed into several snacks. Processed “keladi” chips have a good business opportunity if managed properly, paying attention to processing, packaging, marketing, quality and quantity as well as health protocols, both in the production and marketing of these products. The results of financial analysis related to the production of “keladi” chips in Biaung Village, from 20 kg of “keladi” (IDR 7,000,00/kg) to 70 packs of “keladi” chips with a selling price of IDR. 8,000,00/packs with the new packaging; the gross income is Rp. 560,000, - and with a production cost of IDR. 330,000,00; net income of IDR. 230,000,00; with an R / C ratio of 1.7. The conclusion is that the “keladi”chips business that has been packaged in special packaging, the production of the community in Biaung Village, Penebel District, Tabanan Regency, is very feasible to be developed.

Abstract

Swamedikasi banyak dilakukan oleh masyarakat untuk mengatasi keluhan atau gejala penyakit dengan cara membeli obat ke toko obat atau apotek terdekat. Pengobatan tersebut perlu dilakukan dengan tepat, sehingga masyarakat memerlukan informasi yang jelas dalam menentukan jenis dan jumlah obat yang digunakan secara rasional serta cara penggunaan yang benar. Untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tersebut, maka perlu dilakukan sosialisasi dan edukasi program pemerintah mengenai Dapatkan Gunakan Simpan dan Buang (DAGUSIBU). Dengan program ini diharapkan dapat diaplikasikan ke masyarakat sekitar kampus agar dapat menggunakan dan menyimpan obat yang baik. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September-Desember 2018 di Citra Panyileukan dan Cibiru Asri Bandung. Kegiatan diawali dengan pembuatan media informasi, survey pengetahuan kepada kader PKK, pembinaan kader, edukasi DAGUSIBU kepada masyarakat, evaluasi dan pembuatan laporan akhir. Dari hasil edukasi tersebut diketahui telah meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap program DAGUSIBU. Kata Kunci: dagusibu, obat, edukasi
