Being almost inseparable from human being, ‘Humiliation’ and ‘dignity’ must be considered as much more universal substance. Its counterpart must be regarded as having the same level of universality. However, is the fact that the form of both ‘dignity’ and ‘humiliation’ differ so much around the world, that the two terms probably represent the best argument for that there are big differences between cultures and nations. Since the experience of humiliation does not necessary result in an immediate feeling of being humiliated. Thus one of the core challenges is to find the solution of how ‘humiliation’ on the one hand represents something universal and on the other hand is the best argument for non-universality in the world. In this sense, the essay seems to be much easier to say something about the cause for humiliation instead of its effect on the victim. Yet, this essay attempts to point out how these terms might be understood in attempt at making them meaningful in itself and fruitful for empirical investigation.

This study aims at analyzing the representation of women's existence through the archetypal image in the chrysanthemum story. This study uses Carl Jung's archetypal image theory which is supported by Simone de Beauvoir's theoretical concepts. This research is focused on analyzing archetypal image. This story is revealed by classifying symbol, persona, anima and animus archetypal, and self-archetypal. Meanwhile, further analysis of the archetypal symbol is then criticized using the concept of the woman existentialist Simone de Beauvoir. This study uses a qualitative research method in which all data sources are taken from the short story. The results showed that there are four symbols of archetypal, personal archetypal, opposing points of view of anima and animus archetypal, and how to control self-archetypal. From all of these classifications, it is concluded that the representation of an existentialist woman is reflected through the main character named Elisa, including daring to go against the rules, being able to make their own decisions and being a woman who can stand alone.

This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a document analysis approach intended in analyzing the implementation of a test of evaluating and a test of creating as contained in the mid-term test and final test exercises. The source data of this study is the mid-term tests and final tests that were made during the era of the Covid-19 pandemic by two English Foreign Language Lecturers who teach in the English Literature department in a private University in Java. Data collecting technique is done using documentation and observation methods. The data analysis has been done by data coding. Then, the data is identified based on the categorization of level competency based on the Bloom taxonomy, particularly the evaluating and creating competency level. After that, the data will be analyzed and interpreted. The finding showed that 'test of evaluating' appeared only one item that requires students to review especially criticizing based on the qualitative standard and criteria. Meanwhile, the second finding was 'test of creating' in mid-term and final test patterned on the ability to produce a new thing by implying the processes inside 'creating' that are 'generating, planning, and producing’. By implicating Bloom's taxonomy, the lecturers are not only assisted but also expanded and sharpened the assessment, so the purpose of learning is not just teaching transfer but also covering all the cognitive processes needed in learning transfer.
