Abstract

This research is a thematic application of hadith fiqhi regarding the law of hoarding goods from the perspective of the Prophet’s hadith. The first step is to determine the equivalent meaning or meaning of words in Arabic. Then, the hadiths that are considered good or credible are in accordance with the science of hadith. Furthermore, conformity with the Qurân and other traditions that are appropriate in meaning. Then, look at the whole meaning of the hadith and the causes that arise from the hadith (asbâb al-wurud). As for the results of the hadiths, what is collected is that it is forbidden to hoard goods when it is related to staple goods due to the consequences of the crisis and the bigger is the emergence of other diseases due to curses from Allah. However, scholars differ on the level of hoarding goods that are carried out in relation to a lot of goods so that they can stay long in the hadith fiqhi

Abstract

The Impact of Nashirudin Al-Albani's Tarjih Hadith Method on Differences in Mazhab and Qur'anic Interpretation" explores the significant influence of Muhammad Nasiruddin al-Albani, a 20th-century Islamic scholar, on Islamic jurisprudence and Quranic exegesis. Al-Albani is noted for his rigorous and critical approach to the evaluation of Ḥadith (Tarjih), which often diverged from traditional scholarly consensus, leading to varying interpretations within different Islamic schools of thought (Mazhabs). The study highlights Al-Albani's method of assessing Hadiths through an in-depth analysis of their Sanad (chain of narrators) and text (matan), often leading to the reassessment of their validity. This paper discusses the strengths and weaknesses of his method, noting how his stringent criteria for Hadith evaluation have impacted Islamic legal judgments and interpretations of the Quran. The article also delves into the societal and cultural implications of Mazhabs in religious life, emphasizing how Al-Albani's interpretations have influenced religious practices and law. It underscores the importance of a balanced approach to understanding and applying Hadith in Islamic law, considering historical, social, and contextual factors. Employing a qualitative research methodology with a library research approach, the study analyzes various literature sources to provide a comprehensive overview of Al-Albani's impact on Islamic jurisprudence. It concludes by emphasizing the need for a more comprehensive and contextual understanding of Hadith and Quranic interpretation to avoid superficial understandings and embrace a richer, more accurate understanding of Islamic teachings

Abstract

This article examines the sleep call phenomenon as the beginning of adultery with a focus on studying the hadiths about adultery. By using a qualitative descriptive-analytical type of library research, this article draws the following conclusions; First, the understanding of hadiths about adultery shows that adultery is not only interpreted as having intimate relations between men and women, but adultery includes a broad meaning that can lead to the true meaning of adultery, such as adultery of the eyes, adultery of the ear, adultery of the hands, adultery heart, and so on. Second, the sleep call phenomenon that is currently happening especially among teenagers, with reference to the understanding of hadiths about adultery, is an act that can approach adultery and the beginning of adultery. Explanation of the Prophet's hadith which shows that many things can approach true adultery, such as ear adultery, tongue adultery, hand adultery, and heart adultery, can position the sleep call phenomenon as including actions that are close to adultery so that it can lead to true adultery, namely having sex between men -male and female.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the quality of the traditions classified as ḥasan in Sunan Al-Tirmidzi's Al-Jami' Al-Ṣaḥīh, a topic that has attracted considerable attention among ḥadīth scholars. Using a literature review methodology combined with a qualitative approach, this study has not only discovered a new qualification for assessing the quality of traditions in Abū Isa Al-Tirmidzi's Al-Jami’ Al-Ṣaḥīh, referred to as ḥasan ṣaḥīh traditions but also expanded its scope beyond the existing findings. This research has revealed that the emergence of the ḥasan ḥadīth has prompted strong scholarly engagement, signalling the ever-evolving nature of ḥadīth studies. This evolution requires researchers to always be ready to re-evaluate classical texts, encourages continuous exploration of new perspectives and promotes acceptance of the potential for new classifications to emerge within the field. Furthermore, this study has illustrated Al-Tirmidzi's pioneering efforts to reshape the categorisation of ḥadīth. More than simply introducing the ṣaḥīh ḥadīth, Al-Tirmidzi cleverly combined this classification with other existing categories, including the ṣaḥīh gharib ḥadīth and the ṣaḥīh gharib ḥadīth thus enriching the intricacies of ḥadīth classification methodology. The implications of this innovative approach go beyond Al-Tirmidzi's work and affect the broader landscape of ḥadīth scholarship. Moreover, the findings of this study have substantial legal ramifications in Islamic jurisprudence. The revelation that certain traditions classified as ḥasan have the status of ṣaḥīh implies that these texts can serve as a valid legal basis despite their initially inferior category. This discovery underscores the dynamic interaction between ḥadīth scholarship and Islamic jurisprudence, where ḥadīth classification has a real impact on the legal framework of faith. In sum, this study underscores the dynamic and ever-evolving nature of the field of ḥadīth studies as well as the important role played by scholars such as Al-Tirmidzi in reshaping the classification. It emphasises the need for constant exploration of classical texts and readiness to adapt to evolving perspectives to ensure that the field remains at the forefront of Islamic scholarship and jurisprudence.

Abstract

The study of regional hadith is an essential aspect of hadith scholarship but still poses some challenges that need to be addressed to clarify terminology while integrating the concept with Western area studies theory. This article aims to formulate a robust framework for area hadith, focusing on formulation and specification. In this study, the author integrates some of the fundamental theories of hadith science and applies the analysis of the philosophy of al-Tarikh to unpack the stages of regional hadith studies from historical, ideological, and geographical aspects which are linked to the theory of area studies which not only deals with regionalism in particular but critically analyses the roots, the spread of hadith in several geographies and their specifics. The results of this study reveal that regional hadith studies have deep roots, beginning with the discussion on ‘ismah (the impossibility of making mistakes) and the emergence and spread of hadith in Mecca and Medina during the time of the Prophet Muhammad as its formulation. Subsequently, the study expanded to other regions. In addition, it identifies three main specific aspects of regional hadith studies: first, specifications related to the Sanad (chain of narrators), involving narrators from the same or different geographies; second, specifications of narrators based not only on their geographical location but also on their roles and contributions; third, specifications related to the matan (content of the hadith) and its implementation in one or more regions and its relation to certain aspects. This article provides a clear and comprehensive framework for the study of regional hadith, outlining the key elements that should be considered in this research. The findings have significant implications for a deeper understanding of regional hadith, which can enrich hadith science
