The role of MSMEs in the economic development of a country has important implications for increasing income, reducing unemployment, alleviating poverty and economic growth. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a negative impact and threatened the survival of MSMEs. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of the triple helix model by examining the role of each helix: universities, companies, and governments to help MSMEs rise from adversity. This study identifies behavioral profiles in terms of the performance of the triple helix model from the perspective of MSMEs and recognizes key factors for innovation success and competitiveness. The survey involved 134 MSMEs. The analysis method uses SEM-PLS with WarpPLS07. The results of the study indicate that there is a positive influence between the synergy of the government and academia in increasing the innovation and competitiveness of MSMEs. Innovation is able to become a mediator for the synergy of the government and academia in increasing the competitiveness of MSMEs. MSMEs need to be more active and proactive, the role of the government and academics still needs to be improved and coupled with the optimal role of other helixes, especially the community as a strategy to survive and thrive in the Covid-19 pandemic situation.

The COVID-19 pandemic significant impact on decreasing income and community activities, including shopping behavior. Many people have decided to use the online marketplace platform to shop for various needs. This study aims to investigate the direct and indirect relationships among variable price discounts, Online Customer Reviews (OCR), and purchase intentions for consumers of the 5 most popular online marketplace platforms in Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic. Collecting data in this study using an online questionnaire to 120 respondents as a sample who have met the purposive sampling criteria. This study uses Partial Least Square (PLS) to analyze the data. There is a uniqueness in this study where the price discount strategy is not able to directly influence consumer purchase intention even though the economic condition has decreased due to the pandemic. This strategy encourages consumers to seek information through online customer reviews. Information on OCR affects consumer purchase intention in a product. This makes OCR able to fully mediate the relationship between the price discount strategy and purchase intention.

This paper examines the effect of bank lending on liquidity. We use the loan-to-deposit ratio as a proxy for liquidity and total loan as a proxy for bank lending. We also consider the measurement of liquidity with non-performing loans (NPL) and return on assets (ROA) as control variables. The sample used is the banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange as many as 42 banks with a total of 184 observations from unbalanced panel data. The analysis used is panel data regression (generalized least squares) with random effects as the best estimation model. We find bank lending to have a positive effect on liquidity, especially for banks that go public. We argue that banks avoid bankruptcy by increasing the proportion of reserves to absorb risk. The results support the “risk absorption” hypothesis (Berger Bouwman, 2009). We also find that return on assets (ROA) has a significant effect on liquidity, but non-performing loans (NPL) have no significant effect on liquidity, proving that banks has managed their reserves by absorbing risk properly.
