Abstract

In the government sector, E-Government has become part of innovation. The use of E-Government is necessary to maintain government transparency. In Banda Aceh City, Aceh Province, Indonesia, this study tries to capture the phenomenon of the factors that influence trust and use of E-Government. The purpose of this research is to learn about the elements that influence trust and adoption of E-Government in the Banda Aceh region through quantitative research. This research is included in the category of survey research. This study found that two variables have positive and significant implications for other variables, namely the benefit variable has significant implications for trust in e-government, and the trust variable in e-government has significant implications for the use of e-government. Meanwhile, three other variables that have no significant implications are organizational factors, technological factors, and risk factors for public trust in the use of E-Government by the government. This study also has limitations, such as considering the positive impact on the use of e-government in the Banda Aceh Region, rather than the problem of only using e-government in the Banda Aceh Region of Aceh Province. The time limit associated with data collection is another weakness of this study.

The purpose of this study was to examine the determinants and impacts of organizational capacity for change (OCC). In addition, the moderating influence of empowerment on transformational leadership change is also examined in influencing the organization's capacity to change and remain empowered. The hypothesis is tested using the data obtained from the survey. A total of 200 questionnaires were filled in by management as respondents and used for data analysis in this research using the survey method. The results of the study show that the orientation of transformational leadership has a positive effect on OCC. Likewise, the influence of OCC on empowerment. To increase the capacity for change, administrators at Islamic boarding schools can increase the orientation of transformational leadership so that Islamic boarding schools can increase empowerment by not changing the existing culture at Islamic boarding schools and remain empowered according to applicable regulations. This research empirically examines OCC in the context of Islamic boarding schools which are shaped by leader orientation. Furthermore, OCC has a mediating role in the influence of leadership on the empowerment of Islamic boarding schools. In addition, OCC in this study was tested with 3 dimensions (learning, process, and context) which were previously proposed only conceptually. Transformational leadership has the organizational capacity to change. In the end, this research proposes and shows that the organizational context (culture) plays an important role in the organizational capacity for change (OCC) in developing empowerment.

Abstract

This research intends to describe the map of the progress of democracy studies in Indonesia. The study was performed by searching the Scopus database using the keyword “Democracy in Indonesia.” The search results are then descriptively analyzed based on the year of publishing, the number of publications, the most regularly published writer, source of the article, country of publication, and association. Data is exported in the RIS format to receive a research-creation diagram. The exported data is then interpreted and evaluated using the VOSviewer program to classify the bibliometric map and the Nvivo 12 plus software to determine the most general categorization of themes and topics. Via network visualization, lines between nodes represent the relationships (edges) between inter-nodes. The other lines of connection between nodes, the closer the relationships with records are. Meanwhile, with the visualization of density, it was seen that if the color visualized was getting redder, the subject had been researched a lot, although the topic was only barely researched if it was getting greener. Indonesia's R&D maps on democracy are grouped into six key themes: democracy, politics, social, political, local, and electoral, while political, democracy, politics, social, and growth are the most dominant themes.

Abstract

Women play an important role in development, both in developing countries and in developed countries. As mentioned in Law No. 22/1999 and No. 23/2014, women should have an equal role in local government. This study aims to analyze the law's implementation in terms of women's role in local government in the Kediri Regency, East Java. This study showed that females dominated the number of government employees. The proportion of women working in public services varies across the office services. Women are concentrated in specific sectors requiring expertise, such as health care, education and social welfare. Conversely, the lowest proportion of women is in construction-related sectors. However, the proportion of women in the House of Representatives remained low. These findings imply that local governments should pay attention to allocating female employees. Regencies with female (or male) employee disproportion should be transferred reasonably, the mutation of employees should be fair, and the recruitment of new employees should also be proportionate.
