Journal of Islamic Education Management (JIEM) merupakan merupakan jurnal yang memuat tulisan, hasil penelitian, pengembangan, kajian atau telaah keilmuan manajemen pendidikan Islam. Isi jurnal memuat pandangan kritis, berpikir komprehensif dalam manajemen pendidikan Islam. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap secara mendalam kepemimpinan manajerial kepala Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 4 Kota Cirebon dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif lapangan yang bersifat deskriptif studi kasus. Metode pengumpulan data memakai observasi mendalam, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Analisa data dilakukan mulai dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Untuk menguji keabsahan data dilakukan dengan perpanjangan kehadiran, triangulasi, pembahasan teman sejawat, dan klarifikasi dengan informan. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa: Perencanaan kepala sekolah dalam membangun karakter kinerja guru di SMPN 4 Kota Cirebon ialah (1) menyusun RKS; (2) merumuskan visi, misi, dan tujuan; (3) menyusun kurikulum sekolah; (4) menyelenggarakan sejumlah program dalam usaha peningkatan kinerja guru; (5) meningkatkan kompetensi kinerja; (6) menumbuhkan sifat keharmonisan dan kerjasama; (7) membangun rasa terbuka; (8) membiasakan budaya malu; (9) kreatif; (10) melalui program pengembangan keprofesionalan kepala sekolah; (11) berpanduan pada kurikulum; (12) penetapan sistem kebijakan; (13) penetapan aktivitas pendukung; (14) menganggap bawahan sebagai partner/tim; (15) disiplin; (16) profesionalitas; (17) membangkitkan semangat kerja. Proses kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di SMPN 4 Kota Cirebon adalah (1) pembinaan terhadap guru; (2) melakukan kerjasama yang baik; (3) memberi semangat kepada guru dalam pengembangan kurikulum; (4) menuju keprofesionalan guru; (5) MGMP; (6) meningkatkan profesi melalui workshop; (7) memotivasi untuk meneruskan studi; (8) memperhatikan kesejahteraan guru; (9) pengaturan iklim kerja yang baik. Hasil peningkatan kinerja guru yang dilaksanakan kepala sekolah ialah (1) laporan rekap hasil evaluasi; (2) membuat fakta integritas; (3) penggunaan sistem penilaian dan ketuntasan belajar (KKM) melalui komputerisasi; (4) pemberian penghargaan; (5) memberi tugas atau tambahan jabatan sebagai wakil kepala sekolah bagi guru yang memiliki nilai yang baik; (6) mengidentifikasi hasil evaluasi untuk merevisi persoalan yang ada; (7) membangun network/internet. Kata Kunci: Menggerakkan, Memotivasi, Maksimal, Dedikasi ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to reveal in-depth the principal's managerial leadership of State Junior High School 4 Cirebon City in improving teacher performance. This research was the case study of descriptive qualitative field research. The instruments of data collection were in-depth observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out starting from data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. To test the validity of the data, it was done by extending attendance, triangulation, peer discussion, and clarifying with informants. The results showed that: Planning for school principals in building the character of teacher performance in State Junior High School 4 Cirebon City were (1) preparing school work plans; (2) formulating vision, mission, and goals; (3) making the school curriculum; (4) organizing a number of programs to improve teacher performance; (5) improving performance competencies; (6) building harmony and cooperation; (7) developing openness; (8) accustoming culture of shame; (9) creative; (10) developing principals' competencies; (11) making a curriculum; (12) establishing a policy system; (13) determining supporting activities; (14) regarding subordinates as partners/teams; (15) discipline; (16) professionalism; (17) arousing enthusiasm for work. The principal's efforts to improve teacher performance were (1) teacher training; (2) good cooperation; (3) encouraging teachers in curriculum development; (4) teacher professionalism; (5) Teacher Subject Meeting; (6) improving the profession through workshops; (7) motivating to continue study; (8) paying attention to teacher welfare; (9) good work climate regulation. The results of teacher performance improvements carried out by school principals were (1) reporting the evaluation results; (2) making facts of integrity; (3) using a learning evaluation and completeness system through computerization; (4) awarding; (5) assigning duties or additional positions as vice-principal for teachers who have good grades;(6) identifying evaluation results to revise the problems; (7) building a network / internet. Keywords: Moving, Motivating, Maximum, Dedication

Abstract

The role of the principal is a significant factor in improving the quality of learning, so that if the role of the principal is good the school's success will be achieved. The problem in this study is the Implementation of Academic Supervision of School Principals as an Effort to Improve Learning Quality has not been carried out optimally due to the busy schedule of principals and the readiness of teachers in receiving supervision conducted by school principals. This study aims to find out more about the Implementation of Academics Supervision of School Principals in an Effort to Improve the Quality of Learning in SDN 1 Orimalang. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The subjects in this study were the principal, teachers, and TU staff. Research data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. Validity is done through a credibility test. Data analysis using an interactive model has four stages namely the stage of data collection, the reduction stage, the display stage, and the stage of drawing conclusions or verification. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Implementation of School Principal Academic Supervision as an Effort to Improve the Quality of Learning in SDN 1 Orimalang has gone well, planned, and scheduled. Academic supervision is carried out using individual and group techniques such as class visits, class observations, meetings, private conversations, seminars / workshops, and upgrading. Keywords: Academic Supervision, Principal, Learning Quality

Abstract

Principals' leadership which can be interpreted as the way or effort of the principal in influencing, encouraging, guiding, directing and moving the behavior of others and making a change in more positive direction in seeking the quality and success of educational goals. The principal carries out his duties and responsibilities as a leader, how the role of the principal will greatly influence the development of the Qur'anic learning process at school.This study aims to examine the influence of school principal leadership on the development of Al-Qur'an Reading (BTQ) students in the Nahdlatul Ulama Vocational High School (SMK NU) Raudlatul Muta’allimin Singaraja Indramayu. This research method is quantitative. The study population was all students of SMK NU Raudlatul Muta’allimin Singaraja Indramayu in the academic year 2018/2019 which were 123 students. From this population, 32 students were selected to be sampled with stratified random sampling technique. Data collection techniques using the method of observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The results showed that the principal's leadership significantly influenced the development of reading and writing Al-Qur'an (BTQ) students at SMK NU Raudlatul Muta’allimin Singaraja Indramayu. Keywords: Leadership, Headmaster, Reading and Writing the Qur’an.

Abstract

This paper aims to reveal a school branding model based on Pesantren in SMA Nurul Jadid Paiton Probolinggo. This research uses a qualitative approach with a type of case study. SMA Nurul Jadid Paiton Probolinggo is one of the formal schools based on pesantren which applies Branding Image in enhancing its image. The results of the research on the Branding Image model which is applied in Islamic boarding school-based schools Nurul Jadid Paiton Probolinggo are through 4 main things which include; marketing communication (marketing commonication), consumption experiences, social influences and figures and charisma of kyai.

Abstract

This research was intended to reveal in-depth the management of educational innovations in the Islamic Primary Full Day School Cahaya Qolbu Subang. This research was a qualitative field research. Data collection techniques used in-depth observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out through inductive analysis methods to draw conclusions about events or things from the data that have been collected, and compare them and then generalize or be drawn towards general conclusions. Data analysis techniques were done through inductive analysis methods to make conclusions from the collected data, and compare them then generalize them or conclude them in general. The research findings showen that the management of educational innovations was carried out through the process of management of school resources to realize educational goals through curriculum innovations applying correlated curriculum, human resource innovation through personnel management. Learning innovation was done by integration between curriculum of school and madrasa. This innovation emphasized integration in the application of learning methods to maximize all student domains and integrate active participation and involvement in the learning environment, namely schools, homes and communities.

Abstract

Penulis mengamati dan mengikuti pemberitaan baik dari media cetak maupun media elektronika (TV) mereka yang melakukan “tawuran” kasusnya adalah berasal dari sekolah-sekolah umum dan perguruan tinggi umum. Belum melihat maupun mendengar bahwa mereka yang melakukan “tawuran” dari siswa-siswa sekolah elite, madrasah atau Pondok Pesantren. Dari fonomena tersebut  diatas memunculkan berbagai spekulasi dan solusi untuk mengatasi atas kejadian itu dengan mencoba berbagai alternative pemecahan diantaranya membuka atau merubah sekolah “biasa” menjadi sekolah elite, modern atau Boarding School Manajemen  mutu pendidikan dalam artikel ini merupakan sebuah kajian kritis mengenai bagaiman sebuah pendidikan persekolahan harus dikelola secara efektif, efisien, berkeadilan untuk mewujudkan sebagaimana yang diharapkan, tidak melahirkan anak-anak yang tidak bermoral dan mereka menjadi “preman“ jalanan yang gemar sekali melakukan “tawuran”  Kata Kunci :  Manajemen Mutu Pendidikan,  Tawuran  Pelajar dan Lembaga Pendidikan Islam.

Abstract

The education that parents want for their children today is not only having intellectual intelligence, but also being balanced with spiritual intelligence. So this study aims to determine how much influence the leadership of madrasa leaders on religious cultural habituation in MTs Al-Nur Cirebon City. This type of research is quantitative research. The subjects of this study were students and teachers taken only 38 people by means of the stratified random sampling technique. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, questionnaires with Likert scale models and documentation studies. The validity test was carried out using the construct test technique and the Pearson Product Moment correlation technique. While the reliability test is used by the Alpha method formula. The number of valid items for the madrasah headship variable is 33 items, while the number of valid items for the religious cultural habituation variable is 31 statement items. Prerequisite analysis test uses normality test, linearity test. Then the data are analyzed using a simple linear regression formula. The significance level is set at 5%. Based on the results of calculations and analysis, it was concluded that the magnitude of the influence of madrasa head leadership on religious cultural habituation was relatively low with a correlation coefficient r of 0.390. While the contribution of the influence of madrasa head leadership to religious cultural habituation in MTs Al-Nur Cirebon City was only 15.2%. Keywords: Leadership of Madrasah Head, Religious Cultured.

Abstract

Achievement of educational goals is seen from the role of leadership and work discipline of the administrative staff. The facts in the field of leadership carried out by the head of the regional coordinator at the Regional Coordinator for Education in the Sumber District, Cirebon Regency, have not been going well so that it will have an impact on the work discipline of administrative personnel. This study aims to determine the effect of the leadership of the regional coordinator on the work discipline of administrative personnel in the Regional Coordinator for Education, Gempol District, Cirebon Regency. The method used is descriptive quantitative. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, observation and documentation. The technical data analysis used descriptive analysis and the chi square test. Based on the results of the questionnaire calculation at the KORWIL for Education, Gempol District, Cirebon Regency, that: 1) The Leadership of the Regional Coordinator for Education, Gempol District, Cirebon Regency is very strong, 2) The Work Discipline of Administrative Personnel at KORWIL in the Education Sector, Gempol District, Cirebon Regency is very strong, 3 ) It was found that there was an influence between the leadership of the regional coordinator on the work discipline of administrative personnel in the Regional Coordinator for Education, Gempol District, Cirebon Regency, which was classified as positively related to the good category.Keywords: Leadership, Work Discipline, Administrative Personnel

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe progress of a nation’s can be seen from the state of education. Students as the next generation of the nation need to get coaching to develop their knowledge, talents, and interests. This is certainly very good for the progress of the nation of Indonesia. Student development can be done through co-curricular and extracurricular activities. This research aims to determine the result of student coaching by the deputy of the student sector in carrying out his role, especially in developing and implementing a good student coaching program. Informants in this research were deputy of the student sector, students, and coaches or trainers of the extracurricular. This study used qualitative research method. So, to obtain information and data relating to the problem to be studied, researcher conducted observations, interviews, and documentations. The results of student coaching carried out through extracurricular activities can be quite good. Various competitions and championship that were followed, students of the madrasah often won. Even some students can continue their education to the next level through the achievement path, both academic and non-academic achievement.  Keywords: The Role of the Deputy of Madrasah, Student Sector, Student Coaching.  ABSTRAK Kemajuan peradaban suatu bangsa dapat dilihat dari keadaan pendidikannya. Siswa sebagai generasi penerus bangsa perlu mendapatkan pembinaan untuk mengembangkan pengetahuan, bakat dan minatnya. Hal ini tentu sangat baik bagi kemajuan bangsa Indonesia. Pembinaan kesiswaan dapat dilakukan melalui kegiatan kokurikuler dan ekstrakurikuler. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil pembinaan kesiswaan oleh Wakil Kepala Madrasah bidang kesiswaan dalam melaksanakan perannya, terutama dalam menyusun dan melaksanakan program pembinaan kesiswaan yang baik. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah Wakil Kepala Madrasah bidang Kesiswaan, siswa, dan pembina atau pelatih ekstrakurikuler. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Jadi, untuk mendapatkan informasi maupun data yang berkaitan dengan masalah yang akan diteliti, peneliti melakukan obsevasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari pembinaan kesiswaan yang dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dapat dikatakan cukup baik. Berbagai perlombaan dan kejuaraan yang diikuti, siswa sering mendapat juara. Bahkan beberapa siswa dapat melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang berikutnya melalui jalur prestasi, baik prestasi akademik maupun non akademik. Kata kunci: Peran, Wakil Kepala, bidang Kesiswaan, Pembinaan Kesiswaan.

Abstract

The implementation of academic supervision is one of the important things to do. With the implementation of supervision, it is hoped that it can provide assistance and breakthrough solutions to educational problems and improve the performance of teachers in the learning process. This study aims to determine the problems with the implementation of academic supervision during the Covid-19 pandemic at MI Islamiyah Cirebon. To achieve this goal, this study uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews and documentation studies. To obtain comprehensive data, researchers used triangulation to support the credibility and validity of the data obtained. The results of the study stated that: (1) the problems found in implementing academic supervision during the Covid-19 pandemic are the difficulty in implementing the national curriculum in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, teachers’ unpreparedness in carrying out online learning, teachers; technology savvy, technical differences in the implementation of learning for each school that cause contra for the parents, understanding of the material which cannot be absorbed optimally, teachers’ difficulty in assessing the development of students' affective attitudes; (2) efforts to overcome the problems of academic supervision are replacing the national curriculum with the Covid-19 emergency curriculum, providing guidance and direction related to the use of technology, and implementing face-to-face learning twice a week.
