Journal DaFIna : Journal Deutsch als Fremdsprache in Indonesien is an electronic journal managed by the Department of German Literature at the State University of Malang which contains articles in both Indonesian and foreign languages. Articles contained in the form of analysis, study, application of theory, results of research, and discussion of literature with the following scope: 1) DaF (Deutsch als Fremdsprache) / learning German as a foreign language, especially in Indonesia, but does not rule out the possibility of themes same from other countries; 2) Germanistic / Deutsche Linguistics / linguistics in German and its teaching; 3) Deutsche Literatur / German literature and its teaching; 4) Übersetzung / German translation and teaching; and 5) related themes, for example a) Tourism / tourism management for German-speaking foreign tourists and their teaching and b) Deutschkurs / management of German language courses and teaching.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop Klicks Deutsch, a digital audiovisual media for learning German. Klicks Deutsch was created using an interactive media creator application called Articulate Storyline. The material presented in this media is Rund ums Essen (about food) for Basic Competency 3.2 and 4.2 in curriculum 2013. Moreover, this research was a Research and Development (R&D) type using the ADDIE development model which consists of five phases, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The data were collected using questionnaires. After being validated by the experts, Klicks Deutsch was then implemented on 26 students of grade XI Language at SMAN 8 Malang. Finally, the results of the assessments show that Klicks Deutsch has reached a quite valid qualification. In other words, this media is liable to be used as a media for German learning, since it gained 85% score from material expert, 95.6% from media expert and 91.4% from student as users.

Abstract

Mendeskripsikan penerapan strategi collaborative learning dengan media Padlet untuk melatih keterampilan menulis teks dialog bahasa Jerman dan respons siswa terhadap penggunaan media Padlet dalam pembelajaran keterampilan menulis adalah tujuan dari penelitian ini. Metode yang digunakan dalam peneltian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Siswa kelas XI Bahasa di SMA Negeri 1 Lawang adalah sumber data dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian menggunakan data verbal yang didukung dengan data lain yang berupa angka. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi dan angket. Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis data interaktif model Milles dan Huberman. Penerapan media Padlet dengan strategi collaborative learning berjalan dengan baik, kondusif, dan berdampak yang positif terhadap proses pembelajaran siswa adalah hasil dari penelitian ini. Selain itu, penerapan media dengan strategi tersebut juga memperoleh respons yang positif dari siswa terkait tampilan media, akses media, kenyamanan pengguna, penggunaan media, dan keefektifan media. Penerapan media dengan strategi tersebut mampu membuat siswa merasa senang, antusias, percaya diri, termotivasi, bersemangat, dan aktif selama kegiatan pembelajaran.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop liveworksheets-based Arbeitsblatt that can help students of XII cross-major class learn German about hobbies independently with a blended learning system. The development model used is the ADDIE development model. The type of data in this study is qualitative data supported by quantitative data obtained through a questionnaire. The developed Arbeitsblatt got a score of 93.75% for media feasibility and a score of 77% for material feasibility. Based on the data analysis of the questionnaire results obtained from students, the student's response to Arbeitsblatt as a whole reached a score of 89.92% for attractiveness, understanding, and convenience aspects. Thus it can be concluded that Arbeitsblatt based liveworksheets is feasible and can be used by students to learn German on a hobby theme independently.Keywords: Online-Based Arbeitsblatt on Liveworksheets, Hobby Theme, Cross-Major German Language Class

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the use and response of students to writing skill in the Aufsatz I course using the LanguageTool platform. The method used is descriptive qualitative and the data were obtained from observation and questionnaires sheets. Based on the research results, students are active and enthusiastic while accessing LanguageTool. This platform is easy to access for free and easy to use. Overall, LanguageTool receive a positive response from students. LanguageTool can be used as an alternative medium for self-study in practicing German writing skill. Almost all of students get the feedback on spelling and grammar, while vocabulary requires a premium version to access it. In addition to spelling and grammar, students get feedback on punctuation marks. The deficiency of this platform it requires an internet network to access it and there are still students who experience problems related to this. In addition, there are still errors such as no error detected, no explanation on feedback, incorrect feedback, and error mapping that does not fit the category in LanguageTool.

Abstract

This descriptive qualitative research aims to describe the forms of word equivalence errors in the translated text of a cooking recipe entitled Grundrezept Gänsebraten. The data source in this research is students from the Department of German Literature who had taken the Übersetzung course. The data in this study are words, phrases, and clauses that contain word equivalence errors by students. The data were obtained with the help of analysis tables, then analyzed by reading, identifying, classifying, and comparing it with the researcher's version of the translation which has previously been validated by a triangulator. Then the data was grouped by the types of errors and will be drawn to a conclusion. Based on the analysis of the translation of the recipe text with the title Grundrezept Gänsebraten by three students, seven differences between the translation and the translation suggested by the researcher were obtained. The differences include two errors at the word selection level, three errors at the phrase level, and two errors at the clause level.

Abstract

Puisi dalam pembelajaran bahasa dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi dan multiliterasi budaya mahasiswa. Beberapa penelitian menyebut bahwa tingkat literasi pelajar Indonesia masih rendah, terutama pada literasi budaya. Oleh karena itu perlu upaya untuk memahami, menghargai, menganalisis, dan menerapkan pengetahuan budaya sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi dan multiliterasi siswa, terutama pada sastra dan budaya Jerman. Salah satu upaya yang bisa dilakukan adalah dengan menganalisis sebuah puisi. Puisi Ein Bild karya Arno Holz (1885) yang menyampaikan sesuatu yang kontradiktif mengenai keresahannya pada masa akhir abad ke-19 menarik untuk dianalisis dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian dari puisi menunjukkan adanya ketimpangan sosial yang terjadi pada masyarakat. Sebagai sebuah karya naturalis, puisi ini tidak melakukan penghukuman terhadap kejahatan, melainkan memberi penjelasan tentang kondisi lingkungan mengapa seseorang menjadi penjahat atau karakter yang kurang baik. Penulis ini juga menggambarkan sifat khas kaum borjuis pada masa industrialisasi di Eropa. Melalui aktivitas membaca, menghargai, dan menganalisis puisi, pembaca diajak untuk mengenal kebudayaan Jerman pada masa Naturalisme. Hal tersebut tentunya akan mengasah literasi budaya para mahasiswa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi tindak tutur direktif memerintah dan mendeskripsikan prosedur penerjemahan yang digunakan oleh penerjemah dalam menerjemahkan tindak tutur direktif memerintah dalam takarir serial Netflix “Criminal: Germany”. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data penelitian berupa serial berbahasa Jerman “Criminal: Germany” episode 1 dan 2 dan takarir berbahasa indonesianya, sedangkan data yang digunakan berupa kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat dalam Bsu maupun Bsa. Teori yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi tindak tutur direktif memerintah menggunakan teori Searle (1969) dan dalam menganalisis prosedur penerjemahan pada tindak tutur direktif memerintah tersebut menggunakan teori Vinay dan Darbelnet (1958). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penerjemah menggunakan prosedur penerjemahan harfiah, prosedur penerjemahan modulasi, prosedur penerjemahan adaptasi, dan prosedur penerjemahan kesepadanan untuk menerjemahkan tuturan direktif memerintah serial Netflix “Criminal: Germany”; (2) prosedur yang paling dominan digunakan adalah prosedur penerjemahan modulasi; (3) terjemahan yang dihasilkan dari segi bentuk terasa alami dalam bahasa sasaran.Kata kunci: tindak tutur direktif, memerintah, takarir bahasa Indonesia, serial Netflix “Criminal: Germany”

Abstract

Music, particularly in its form of songs, has played an important role in humanities for centuries. Aside from being an entertainment medium, songs contain lyrics that also represent a literary work named poetry. Both lyrical and musical essences in songs are often used to express one’s feelings. Therefore, the translation process of the lyrics of a song is highly necessary for the song to be widely enjoyed. Based on the background, this research aims to implement there translation techniques of Molina & Albir namely modulation, established equivalence, and amplification in a song titled Die Reise by Max Giesinger, and describe the translated lyrics by each technique. This research employs descriptive qualitative method with read, act, and note technique and the analysis data tables as a supporting instrument. The findings reveal that the song Die Reise by Max Giesinger has 13 lines to be translated by established equivalence, 8 lines by modulation, and 3 lines by amplification. Out of 36 lines in total, the researcher manages to translate 24 lines using three of Molina & Albir’s translation technique.Keywords: translation technique, song lyric, Molina and Albir

Abstract

Language style, known in German as rhetorische Figuren, is one of the elements of poetry and the focus of stylistics, a discipline of linguistics. This research aimed to describe rhetorische Figuren on Baroque poetry, ,,Der Welt Wollust" by Andreas Gryphius to perspective students of the German Literature Department at the State University of Malang. Baroque is a literary periodization identified in German literature. The qualitative descriptive method was used in this research. Using an open questionnaire technique, the research's data is in the form of information on the student's perspective on language style in poetry, ,,Der Welt Wollust" one of the poems of the era of Baroque. Students from the German Literature Department who have completed the courses Literaturgeschichte and Deutsche Literatur formed the research's data source. According to current data, respondents had quite broad and different viewpoints. Although opinions have been collected, the style analysis aligns with each individual's understanding and perspective.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the use of Instagram Reels „täglicher Vlog” content as a learning media in the Konversation course and to find out students’ responses to the use of this media. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with three stages of research procedures, namely pre-research, research, and post-research. The instruments used in this research are observation sheets and interview sheets. The data sources used in this research are 38 students from offering A and B 2021 of the German Language Education Study Program, Universitas Negeri Malang who took the Konversation course and are randomly selected as research samples. Data collection techniques in this research are observation and interview. The results of the research show that the use of Instagram Reels content „täglicher Vlog” obtain positive responses because students consider this media is easy to understand, could improve speaking skills, and provide motivation to learn German. In addition, the content of Instagram Reels „täglicher Vlog” which is interesting and educational can help their speaking skill in Konversation course. Students’ self-confidence also increases because the students are trained to learn expression through the „täglicher Vlog” Instagram Reels content.
