Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesalahan-kesalahan yang terdapat dalam penggunaan deiksis persona, deiksis tempat, dan deiksis waktu dalam karangan mahasiswa pada Niveau A2 di Jurusan Sastra Jerman UM serta mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebabnya. Subjek penelitian adalah karangan mahasiswa yang dihasilkan dalam matakuliah Aufsatz II. Objek penelitiannya adalah kesalahan deiksis persona, kesalahan deiksis tempat, dan kesalahan deiksis waktu. Proses pengumpulan data menggunakan metode simak yang terdiri dari teknik dasar yang berwujud teknik sadap dan dilanjutkan dengan teknik simak bebas libat cakap. Instrumen penelitian adalah peneliti (human instrument). Keabsahan data dicapai melalui intrarater dan interrater. Selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan metode agih. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. Dalam karangan mahasiswa ditemukan kesalahan-kesalahan yang terkandung dalam deiksis persona, deiksis tempat, dan deiksis waktu. Faktor yang menyebabkan kesalahan tersebut adalah interferensi, over generalisasi, strategi komunikasi, elemen pembelajaran bahasa asing, kurangnya kontras, kondisi sosial psikologis pembelajar, efek domino, dan redundansi. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ DEIXIS ERRORS IN STUDENTS’ ESSAYS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF GERMAN LITERATURE OF UM Abstract This study aimed at determining the erros in using personal deixis, spatial deixis, and temporal deixis in students’ essays on Niveau A2 in the Department of German Literature of UM and also aimed at determining the factors that motivate the occurrence of deixis errors. The subjects were essays written by students which were made in the course of Aufsatz II. The research objects were personal deixis errors, spatial deixis errors, and temporal deixis errors. The data were collected using the observation method which consisted of basic techniques in the form of recording techniques and continued by using the technique of uninvolved-conversation observation. The research instrument in this study was the researcher (human instrument). The data trustworthiness was gained through intrarater and interrater. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by using the distributional method.The results of this study are as follows. In the essay of Niveau A2 students in the German Literature Department of UM, there are some errors in using personal deixis, spatial deixis, and temporal deixis. Errors of personal deixis are realized in six forms of pronouns: personal pronouns, relative pronouns, indefinite pronouns, demonstrative pronouns, and possessive pronouns. Errors of spatial deixis are realized in adverbs and verbs. Errors of temporal deixis are realized in adverbs and tenses. The occurrences of those errors are motivated by a variety of factors, i.e. interference, over-generalization, communication strategies, elements of foreign language learning, a lack of contrast, the students’ social psychological conditions, domino effect, and redundancy. Abstract

The actualization of learning materials needs to be done to create a learning situation that is under the times. In learning German as a foreign language, the concept of DACHL has not been well recognized by every German teacher at the SMA / MA / SMK level. For this reason, adjustments to learning materials, techniques, and learning strategies are considered important so that the German learning process does not only train language skills but also fosters a cross-cultural understanding of these countries and the Indonesian nation itself. This article attempts to describe the results of training activities for the preparation of cross-cultural learning designs for German language teachers at the SMA / MA / SMK levels throughout Malang and its surroundings. This training implementation method which is accommodated in community service activities is designed by adopting an education and training system for ASN, namely on campus and off-campus. Despite undergoing method modifications as a result of the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, training is going well. With simultaneous mentoring, collaboration, and collaboration between various parties, participants can receive the material well and simultaneously apply it in the form of a learning design.

Abstract

Keterampilan membaca adalah bagian dari keterampilan berbahasa yang berfokus pada keterampilan seseorang untuk mendapatkan informasi dari sebuah teks. Di dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jerman, keterampilan membaca merupakan hal yang penting untuk dikuasai oleh peserta didik agar mereka dapat memahami makna dari sebuah teks yang sedang dipelajari. Pada kenyataanya, tidak sedikit peserta didik yang merasa jenuh ketika mereka bekerja dengan teks. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya media pembelajaran yang mampu membangkitkan minat peserta didik untuk melatih keterampilan membacanya. Quizizz adalah media digital yang dapat diaplikasikan dalam pembelajaran karena memiliki tampilan dan fitur yang menarik seperti fitur leadorboard yang akan menampilkan peringkat peserta didik sesuai dengan kecepatan dan ketepatan menjawab soal. Quizizz juga dapat digunakan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut, artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas konsep media Quizizz sebagai media pendukung untuk melatih keterampilan membaca bahasa Jerman.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah dikembangkannya media buku pop up yang dapat mempermudah siswa dalam mempelajari dan memahami materi karya sastra. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development dari Sugiyono yang dimodifikasi oleh pengembang. Prosedur pengembangan dilakukan dalam tujuh tahap, yaitu (1) potensi dan masalah, (2) pengumpulan data, (3) desain produk, (4) validasi desain, (5) revisi desain, (6) uji coba pemakaian, dan (7) revisi produk. Media ini telah melalui proses validasi yang dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media. Media ini juga telah diujicobakan kepada 15 siswa kelas XI IPS Lintas Minat bahasa Jerman di SMAN 1 Tarik. Data dikumpulkan dengan angket skala likert dan dianalisis secara deskriptif persentase. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, media buku pop up mendapat penilaian sebesar 96.25% dari ahli materi, 89,6% dari ahli media, dan 84,9% dari subjek uji coba. Rata-rata persentase dari data keseluruhan yang diperoleh adalah 91.75%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku pop up telah layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran karya sastra bahasa Jerman di kelas XI.Kata Kunci: pengembangan, media buku pop up, pembelajaran karya sastra bahasa Jerman

Abstract

This article aims to describe the process of applying Quizziz media to train German language listening skills of class X MAN 1 Malang City students and student responses to the application of the media. This study used a qualitative descriptive method in conducting research and there were 31 students of class X Religion MAN 1 Malang who became the data sources. Researchers used data collection instruments in the form of questionnaire sheets and observation sheets. The results of this study indicate that the application of Quizizz media to practice listening skills in German in class X Religion MAN 1 Malang runs smoothly and conducively. In addition, students said that Quizizz is an interesting medium to use in learning German in class because this media has attractive features and displays in the form of audio and images.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the learning process by using “Melanjutkan Cerita” technique and to know the response of German Literature students in the Universitas Negeri Malang on this learning technique. The learning technique of “Melanjutkan Cerita” is one of language learning techniques that can be used to train speaking skill as well as to re-activate students’ understanding about grammatical theory that have been learned. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive with verbal data. The subjects of this research are 24 students from offering A of German Literature Department in the Universitas Negeri Malang, academic year of 2015 and 2016. Data collection is conducted by observation and questionnaire with the instruments of observation and questionnaire sheets. The results show that the implementation of “Melanjutkan Cerita” technique in Konversation II course running well. The respondents also stated that this learning technique can help them to improve their German speaking skill.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the independent learning process through FunEasyLearn application and student responses to the use of  application. The research method in this study was descriptive qualitative. Sources of data were 36 students of  10th grade IPS 2 SMAN 9 Malang, while data were obtained through two different techniques, namely observations and interviews. The results showed that the independent learning process through the FunEasyLearn application went well. This also helps students to build their independent learning skills. During the learning process, students were responsible for completing the exercises in the apps independently. Furthermore, they had no difficulty in operating the apps. They were also interested and motivated to learn German with the help of FunEasyLearn because it has colorful and illustrated features as well and various exercises so that easier for them to understand the material. Overall, students showed positive responses to the use of the apps independently. They stated that their vocabs mastery increased after using the apps. Therefore, the FunEasyLearn apps can be used continuously as an alterative media for students to enlarge German vocabulary and build their independent learning both in and outside of the classroom.

Abstract

Perajin anyaman rotan Tasikmadu adalah perajin rotan terbesar di Malang Raya dan perlu didukung perkembangannya menjadi Desa Wisata. Kekurangan Kampung Anyam Rotan ini adalah dari segi promosi dan penguatan branding yang merupakan ujung tombak untuk mendatangkan wisatawan sehingga membutuhkan penguatan yang dapat menciptakan suasana (ambience) konsep desa wisata. Tujuan pengabdian yaitu melatih ketrampilan warga membuat produk pot artistik mix decoupage yang selanjutnya akan dapat di jadikan tata fasade yang menarik perhatian pengunjung. Metode pengabdian yang dilakukan adalah Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) atau Pemahaman Partisipatif Kondisi Pedesaan (PRA) dengan tahapan Pelaksanaan program dibagi menjadi tiga bagian yaitu: (1) Tahapan mengidentifikasi produk dan mensosialisasi; (2) Tahapan praktek produksi dan pendampingan; (3) Tahap monitoring dan evaluasi; (4) Tahapan evaluasi. Produk yang dihasilkan dalam pengabdian ini adalah pot bunga rotan yang dihias dengan decoupage.

Abstract

This research was conducted to describe (1) the application of the show and tell strategy with the theme of Essen und Trinken in class XI of SMA Negeri 9 Malang, to know (2) student responses in the application of the show and tell strategy in learning German. This research used the descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected through observation and questionnaire. Sources of data in this study were 23 students of class XI Language SMA Negeri 9 Malang.This research indicates that the show and tell strategy can train students to speak German enthusiastically and confidently without fear. Students also showed a good response during learning by using the show and tell. Based on the description above, the show and tell can help students practice speaking a foreign language.
