Abstract

Adopsi inovasi pengolahan kotoran ternak sapi menjadi biogas dan pupuk organik merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan pendapatan petani. Kemampuan tersebut menjadi salah satu indikator keberhasilan gapoktan dalam mengelola kegiatan simantri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mengetahui tingkat adopsi inovasi pengolahan kotoran sapi menjadi biogas dan pupuk organik pada gapoktan simantri dan (2) mengetahui hubungan antara karakteristik individu dan sifat inovasi terhadap tingkat adopsi inovasi pengolahan kotoran ternak sapi menjadi biogas dan pupuk organik. Penelitian dilakukan di tujuh kecamatan di Kabupaten Gianyar. Responden penelitian sebanyak 62 orang yang terdiri dari ketua dan anggota kelompok dari 31 kelompok simantri tahun 2009-2012. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode acak distratifikasi tidak proporsional. Jenis data berupa data primer dan sekunder. Metode  pengambilan  data  primer adalah  wawancara  secara  langsung,  observasi  dan dokumentasi, data sekunder diambil dengan metode arsip.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) tingkat adopsi inovasi pengolahan kotoran ternak sapi menjadi pupuk organik dan biogas oleh gapoktan simantri adalah sedang; (2) terdapat hubungan yang sangat nyata (P<0.01) antara pendidikan non formal dan semua indikator sifat inovasi dengan adopsi biogas dan pupuk organik. Umur berhubungan sangat nyata (P<0.01) dengan adopsi biogas, namun pada inovasi pupuk organik, umur hanya berhubungan nyata (P<0.05). Jumlah pemilikan lahan berpengaruh nyata (P<0.10) dengan adopsi inovasi biogas dan pupuk organik.

Abstract

This study aim to determine the effect of dragon fruit with Saccharomyces cereviseae on diets to chicken carcass age of 10 weeks. This research has been conducted in the Faculty of Animal Husbandry Research Station, Jimbaran, Badung Regency for 100 weeks. Chickens used were 100 head of local chicken (Gallus domesticus). The design use was Completely randomized design with four treatments and five replications.The control diet is chicken were offered diets without dragon fruit (RKBN0), diets with skin dragon fruit fermented Saccharomycescerevisiae 5% (RKBN1), diets with skin dragon fruit fermented Saccharomycescerevisiae 7% (RKBN2), and diets with skin dragon fruit fermented Saccharomycescerevisiae 9% (RKBN3). Drinking water and feed were offered ad libitum. The variables measured were: slaughter weight, carcass weight, and carcass percentage and parts of carcass. The results showed that administration of dragon fruit peel fermented with Saccharomyces cerevisiae7% (RKBN2) and 9% (RKBN3) differ significantly (P<0.05) compared with that obtained ration chicken without skin dragon fruit fermented with Saccharomyces cerevisiae (RKBN0) in the variable slaughter weight, carcass weight, breast weight, and the weight of the wing just carcass percentage, weight back and thigh weights had no significant (P>0.05). Based on research can be concluded that the administration of skin dragon fruit fermented Saccharomyces cerevisiae as much as 9% (RKBN3) on chicken can increase slaughter weight, carcass weight, and part of carcass (breast and wing) and the provision of as much as 7% (RKBN2) can increase the weight beef, carcass weight and carcass recahan on the wings while giving as much as 5% (RKBN1 ) does not affect the slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage and parts carcass on (weight breast, wings, back and thighs).

Abstract

Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi karakteristik edible film berbahan gelatin dari kulit kaki ayam dengan penambahan ekstrak daun jati telah dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Teknologi Hasil Ternak dan Mikrobiologi Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Udayana selama 2 bulan. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL),  dengan 5 perlakuan (ekstrak daun jati dengan konsentrasi 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%) dan 3 ulangan. Variabel yang diamati adalah organoleptik, pH,  kadar protein  dan kadar fenol. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa warna edible film secara statistik menunjukan hasil yang berbeda nyata (P<0,05) dengan skor warna berturut – turut pada perlakuan P10 dan P15 (3,80) ; P20 (3,73) ; P5 (3,67) dan P0 (3,13). Sedangkan pada aroma menunjukan perbedaan yang tidak nyata (P>0,05) untuk pH skor pada perlakuan P20 (5,78) ; P5 (5,73) untuk P10 dan P15 (5,72) sedangkan untuk P0 (5,66). Pada protein skor tertinggi di peroleh pada perlakuan P5 yaitu (85,36) dan skor fenol berturut-turut pada perlakuan P10 (3,34) ; P20  (3,25) ; P5 (3,17) ; P15 (3,11) dan P0 (1,20) secara statistik untuk pH, protein dan fenol menunjukan hasil berbeda nyata (P<0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa karakteristik edible film berbahan gelatin dengan penambahan ekstrak daun jati dari konsentrasi 5 – 20% dapat meningkatkan warna, nilai pH, protein, dan fenol edible film namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap aroma.

Abstract

The research was aimed to determine the comparisonof physicaland chemical quality pork of Landrace crossbred that is fed based on Denpasar city waste with pork of Landrace crossbred given concentrate.The research conducted for 2 months at the Laboratory of Animal Product Technology and Microbiology Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Agrokomplek Building Udayana University.The research used the meat of the Longissimus dorsi muscle from 16 crossbred Landrace pigs, male sex of castration, finisher phase with final body weight 90±0,53kg. The research used simple experimental design (t-Test) by comparing the physical and chemical quality of pork from Landrace crossbred that is fed based on Denpasar city waste (A) with pork of Landrace crossbred given concentrate (B), with each 8 pigs as replications. The variables observed were pH value, cooking loss, drip loss, water holding capacity, and water content. The data obtained were analyzed used two independent sample t-Test.The results showed that the pH values ??of both samples were the same, the percentage of water content of the two samples was significantly different (P<0.05), while the percentage of cooking loss, drip loss, and water holding capacity of both samples were not significantly different (P>0.05). Based on the results of the research can be concluded that, the physical and chemical qualitypork of Landrace crossbred that is fed based on Denpasar city wasteis lower than the physical and chemical quality pork of Landracecrossbred given concentrate. Abstract

The study aimed to determine the effect of giving Effective Microorganism probiotics through drinking water on the slaughter weight and carcasses physical composition of male bali duck. The research was conducted in Kediri, Tabanan, for 8 weeks starting from August 2 to October 2, 2018.. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of three treatments, namely: A (Drinking water without Effective Microorganism probiotics as a control), B (Drinking water + 0.5% Effective Microorganism probiotics), C (Drinking water + 1% Effective Microorganism probiotics). Each treatment consisted of five replications and each replication used three male bali ducks aged 3 days with an average body weight ranging from 55,72 ± 7,16 g. The variables observed were slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, bone percentage, meat percentage, and percentage of subcutaneous fat including skin. The results showed that administration of Effective Microorganism probiotics through drinking water at the level of 1% significantly increased male bali duck weight, but did not significantly increase carcass weight, meat percentage, percentage of subcutaneous fat including skin and not significantly decrease carcass percentage, and bone percentage. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the administration of Effective Microorganism probiotics through drinking water at the level of 1% it can increase the slaughter weight of male bali duck, but at the level of 0,5-1% does not affect the carcasses physical composition of male bali duck. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas telur ayam Isa Brown umur 100-104 minggu yang diberi ransum komersial dengan tambahan tepung kulit kerang. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Pesedahan, Kecamatan Manggis, Karangasem, Bali, dan berlangsung selama 4 minggu. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan, dan setiap ulangan menggunakan 5 ekor ayam. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu; ransum komersial tanpa tambahan tepung kulit kerang (A), ransum komersial dengan tambahan 1% tepung kulit kerang (B), ransum komersial dengan tambahan 2% tepung kulit kerang (C), ransum komersial dengan tambahan 3% tepung kulit kerang (D).Variabel yang diamati adalah berat telur, indeks telur, berat kerabang telur, tebal kulit telur, Haugh Unit, pH telur, dan warna kuning telur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ransum komersial dengan tambahan tepung kulit kerang 1%, 2%, dan 3% memberikan hasil yang secara statistik tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05) terhadap berat telur, indeks telur, berat kerabang telur, tebal kulit telur, Haugh Unit, pH telur dan warna kuning telur dibandingkan dengan perlakuan kontrol (A). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian tepung kulit kerang dengan 1%, 2% dan 3% pada ayam Isa Brown umur 100–104 minggu tidak berpengaruh terhadap kualitas telur yang meliputi berat telur, indeks telur, berat kerabang telur, tebal kulit telur, Haugh Unit, pH telur dan warna kuning telur serta belum mampu meningkatkan kualitas telur pada warna kuning telur sedangkan kualitas telur pada berat telur, indeks telur, berat kerabang, tebal kulit telur, Haugh Unit, dan pH masih memiliki kualitas yang baik. Abstract

Dalam upaya untuk mewujudkan atau sebagai pelaku utama yang berkualitas, petani diarahkan untuk mengembangkan kemampuannya melalui pendekatan kelompok, belajar, wahana kerja sama, unit produksi, unit penyedia sarana produksi, unit pengolahan dan pemasaran, serta unit jasa penunjang sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan para anggotanya dalam mengembangkan usaha tani yang berbasis agribisnis, yang selanjutnya dapat menjadi kelembagaan petani yang kuat dan mandiri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kedinamisan Gapoktan Simantri yang juara dan bukan juara di Provinsi Bali.Mengetahui hubungan kedinamisan kelompok dengan prestasi juara pada Gapoktan Simantri di Provinsi Bali.Mengetahui sistem penyuluhan yang tepat untuk meningkatkan kedinamisan kelompok pada Gapoktan Simantri di Provinsi Bali.Jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 60 orang terdiri dari 30 kelompok juara dan 30 kelompok bukan juara.Pengumpulan data penelitian yang dilakukan dengan metode wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan:(1) Tingkat kedinamisan Gapoktan Simantri yang memperoleh juara di Provinsi Bali tergolong lebih dinamis dibandingkan dengan kedinamisan Gapoktan bukan juara. (2) Adanya hubungan yang sangat nyata antara tingkat kedinamisan gapoktan simantri dengan prestasinya. (3) Untuk meningkatkan sistem penyuluhan pada Gapoktan Simantri di Provinsi Bali diperlukan sistim penyuluhan dengan metode berdasarkan pendekatan kelompok. Petani atau peternak dibimbing dan diarahkan secara kelompok untuk melakukan sesuatu kegiatan yang lebih produktif atas dasar kerja sama. Kata kunci: Kedinamisan Kelompok, Gapoktan Simantri, Prestasi.

Abstract

Pigs are one of the livestock commodities that are potential enough to be developed. The application of a good partnership pattern will lead to satisfaction. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of application of pig partnership patterns and the level of satisfaction of plasm farmers Charoen Pokphand ltd. in Bali. The results of the study are expected to be useful as a material consideration that is useful for core companies in making decisions and perfecting the implementation of partnerships that have taken place. The study was carried out for 3 months, at 4 regencies in Bali. The choice of the study location use the Purposive Sampling method and the determination of the sample using Quota sampling. Respondents in this study were 32 people who collaborated with Charoen Pokphand ltd. The variables observed were the application of partnership patterns and the level of satisfaction of plasm farmers. The results of the study showed that the application of the pig partnership pattern was categorized as high with an average score of 78.16%. The level of satisfaction of the plasm farmers expressed satisfaction with an average score of 77.73%. The relationship between the two was categorized as very significant (P<0.01). From the results of the research, it can be suggested that the farmers as plasm were more willing to submit complaints to the company as the core, in order to create mutual benefits. Abstract

The purpose this study was to assess the provision of 5% water extract of leaves katuk (Sauropus androgynus) and the water extract of leaves of Moringa (Moringa aloivera Lam) in drinking water can increase the weight of beef and broiler chicken carcasses. The design used in this study is completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and six replications. These three treatments are chickens given drinking water without the water extract of leaves of Moringa or katuk as control (A), chicken by water extract of leaves katuk 5% through drinking water (B), Chicken by water extract of leaves of Moringa 5% through drinking water (C). The variables measured were: slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, the consumption of protein and lysine consumption. The results showed that pieces of broilers fed extracts of leaves katuk 5% water through drinking water (B) and broilers were given a water extract of leaves of Moringa 5% through drinking water (C), respectively 17,47% and 17,20% were significantly different (P<0.05) higher than the untreated A. chicken carcass weight of broilers were treated (B) and broilers are treated (C), respectively 25,62% and 25,16% were significantly different (P<0.05) than chickens treated A. Percentage of broiler carcasses were treated B and broilers are treated C, respectively 6,95% and 6,79% were significantly different (P<0.05) higher compared to treatment A. protein consumption of broilers were treated B and broilers are treated C, respectively 2,03% and 1,80% were significantly different (P<0.05) higher compared to the treatment of A. and the consumption of lysine broilers were treated B and broilers are treated C, respectively 1,87% and 1,77% were significantly different (P<0.05) higher in comparison with treatment A. Based this study it can be concluded that the provision of 5% of katuk leaves (Sauropus androgynus) and/or Moringa leaves (Moringa aloivera Lam) water extract in drinking water can increase the slaughter weight and carcasses of broiler.

Abstract

Penelitian  ini bertujuan  untuk  mengetahui atribut-atribut yang menjadi preferensi  konsumen,  dan atribut-atribut yang paling dipertimbangkan oleh konsumen dalam membeli daging ayam broiler di pasar  tradisional  Kota Denpasar. Penelitian ini dilakukan di empat pasar tradisional Kota Denpasar yaitu: Pasar Badung, Pasar Sanglah, Pasar Kreneng, dan Pasar Tamba, yang ditentukan secara purposive dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 100 orang. Responden adalah konsumen yang membeli daging ayam broiler pada empat pasar sampel tersebut diatas. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan  data  sekunder. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan bantuan kuisioner. Metode  yang  digunakan  adalah  analisis Chi-Square dan  analisis  sikap Multiatribute Fishbein. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  semua atribut yang diteliti  berbeda sangat nyata  dalam  taraf  kepercayaan  99%  yang  berarti  terdapat  perbedaan preferensi konsumen terhadap atribut-atribut yang ada pada daging ayam broiler. Daging ayam broiler yang menjadi preferensi konsumen di pasar tradisional Kota Denpasar adalah daging ayam broiler yang memiliki  warna karkas putih kekuningan, kulit yang bersih, bau daging segar, kodisi tulang utuh, daging yang segar, daging bagian dada, dan ukuran daging  sedang  dengan berat antara 1,1 sampai 1,5 kg.  Berdasarkan  analisis  Multiatribut Fishbein diketahui  atribut daging ayam broiler yang dipertimbangkan konsumen dalam keputusan membeli daging  ayam broiler di  pasar  tradisional  Kota Denpasar dari yang paling dipertimbangkan sampai  dengan  yang kurang dipertimbangkan berturut-turut adalah bagian karkas, warna karkas, bau daging, kesegaran daging, kebersihan kulit, kondisi tulang, dan ukuran karkas ayam broiler.
