Abstract

This research aims to explore the efforts of internalizing the values of wasathiyyah in the endeavor to enhance religiosity and tolerance attitudes based on mentoring. Since the Indonesian government introduced the concept of religious moderation as a preventive measure to counteract radicalism in society, the majority of State Universities have sought to implement this policy through various programs on their campuses. In Indonesia, the official stance is against radical ideologies, given the potential divisive consequences and the emergence of terrorist actions. In 2016, the Setara Institute surveyed 171 schools in Jakarta and Bandung and observed that seeds of terrorist ideologies had emerged within classrooms. At the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, supported by the Rector, the Tutorial program was established with the aim of enhancing the individual piety of students. Using a qualitative approach, data collection combined ethnographic methods and interviews with 17 students. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman framework, including drawing, displaying data, reduction, and conclusion. The research findings indicate significant results, wherein the mentoring-based tutorial program with the internalization of wasathiyyah values enhances the religiosity and tolerance of students through the selection of qualified mentors, a wasathiyyah curriculum, inclusive communities, and ongoing evaluation. Collaboration with relevant parties is deemed necessary.  Keywords:  Wasathiyyah Values, Mentoring, Tolerance

Abstract

This study explored how Islamic education proved its existence in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and how Islamic education adapts by using digital technology in the teaching and learning process. This study adopts a qualitative approach by using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) as a study method. The SLR approach was chosen because it has several advantages, one of which is the existence of systematic and standardized procedures. In this study, 120 articles were found to be filtered using the PRISMA Model and analyzed more deeply about the existence of Islamic education in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and adapted by using digital technology in the teaching and learning process. This study shows that the existence of Islamic education is very worthy of appreciation; it is not only interpreted as a transfer of knowledge and transfer of values but also gives birth to human-centred and technology-based creativity and innovation. The existence of Islamic education can also answer society’s need to live a more meaningful life by utilizing technological tools to improve the quality of education, science, technology, and imtaq, as well as the quality of moral and intellectual human resources. Islamic education aligns with the use of digital technology in the learning process by helping students and teachers, as well as the learning process itself, personalized learning or self-study, freedom to choose all learning approaches, project-based learning, and applicable field practice.

Abstract

This mixed-method research aims to determine the interaction between the learning process using the two models and university students organizational experience on conflict resolution skills (Factor 1), and to determine the difference in influence between organization experience called BSLT (Factor 2). The research by using sequential explanation population was all PGSD university students at Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon, in 30 university students. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The research instrument uses test questions and interview guidelines. The results of this study found that the influence of Factor 1 had no effect. However, based on the results of Factor 2, it shows that there is an influence between the conflict resolution skills of university students who have taken BSLT and those who have never taken BSLT. This shows that the experience of taking BSLT has an effect on university students' conflict resolution abilities, compared to just using the learning model. The impact of university students mastering good conflict resolution skills is the creation of a positive climate in the organizational and campus environment. As well as university students' agility in eliminating potential conflicts that develop, so that they can be resolved immediately. Abstract

Based on the ranking of 20 Indonesian Green Universities by UI Green Metric 2022, green campuses are dominated by public campuses that do not have a strong foundation in Islamic values. In fact, not a single Muhammadiyah and 'Aisyiyah Universities (PTMA) was included in the top 10 ranking release. Why has PTMA, which has developed Green Fiqh, not been able to present itself as a green campus? This research aims to identify Green Fiqh in Islamic Religion learning at PTMA. This qualitative research uses a thematic approach with a narrative-descriptive-explanative strategy. The research was conducted at three PTMAs in Yogyakarta. The findings obtained are: first, the Green Fiqh study materials in learning Islamic religion courses at PTMA are not optimal. Even though Muhammadiyah has created Green Fiqh products such as Environmental Fiqh, Disaster Fiqh, Water Fiqh and Agrarian Fiqh. Second, learning about Islamic religion at the three PTMAs where the emphasis is still limited to the basics of Islamic religious teachings, such as Aqidah, morals and worship. The Aqidah theme raised also does not optimally touch the role of rububiyah monotheism in preserving the environment. The moral theme also does not touch much on actual contemporary problems, including the problem of global climate change. Third, the Al-Ma'un ethos which is the foundation and spirit of Muhamamdiyah taught in the three meanings of PTMA has not yet developed. Al-Ma'un's main mission is only interpreted as fighting religious liars in a narrow sense. Al-Ma'un has not been developed towards "new" religious liars, namely those who destroy nature and the environment.  Keywords: Environmental Sustainability, Green Fiqh, Islamic Value
