Abstract

Polite character is a person's attitude in acting that cannot be separated from self-control from negative actions. This article contains a study of the polite character of students in the context of Guidance and Counseling in Aceh Tamiang. This article aims to describe "politeness" comprehensively and conduct a comparative test on each tribe. The research method of this study is the survey method with descriptive-analytical techniques and data analysis using One Way Anova. The research was carried out in Aceh Tamiang by involving several tribes including; Acehnese, Malay, Batak, Padang, Javanese, Sundanese, Gayo, and Bandar tribes. Data collection was carried out using google form by the Polite Behavior Scale instrument. The results of the research contribute theoretically and practically to developing a polite character that can be a reference in the scientific repertoire of guidance and counseling. It is hoped that teenagers in Aceh Tamiang can maintain their friendly attitude, believing that ethnic differences are not an obstacle to positive behavior

Abstract

Abstrak Every individual wants family harmony in forming a family. Awareness of role and function and acceptance of existence and existence become a strong foundation in running a household. In realizing a harmonious household, there are often problematic phenomena in the family such as quarrels, jealousy, infidelity, income differences, differences in life principles and leading to the act of lending the marriage lor lthe divorce or lproblems that occur lin lthe life of lthe household lshould lbe resolved lso that lthe harmony of lthe family lremains land lis realized. The increase in the rarity of divorce has raised the issue of the decline in the value of family harmony and the institution of the family is not always a good place for children's development. The line research is a library research approach which is sourced from books about realizing household harmony using family counseling. With the approach of family counseling, it is used as an intervention process for problems that interfere with family harmony. Family counseling tries to build closer relationships, individuals who are able to control their emotions, and families who always have good communication in realizing family harmony. Abstract

Quarter life crisis is a period of transition from late adolescence to early adulthood, namely between the ages of 18-30 years. This condition occurs because of a person's inability and indecision in facing an uncertain future. To avoid a quarter life crisis, self awareness is required. This study focuses on examining the description of self awareness and quarter life crisis of MAN 1 Langsa students. This study also reviews the relationship between self awareness and quarter life crisis. The research method used is quantitative correlation. This study reveals that the self awareness of MAN 1 Langsa students is high, namely 52.4% and the quarter life crisis is moderate, namely 46.8%. This study also reveals that there is a relationship between self awareness and quarter life crisis with a sig value of 0.006. The correlation coefficient is -0.263 or 26.3%. The higher the self awareness the lower the quarter life crisis. Conversely, the lower the self awareness, the higher the quarter life crisis. Thus, this study strengthens the argument that self awareness plays an important role in overcoming the occurrence of a quarter life crisis.

Abstract

A person's self-awareness affects the decisions that will be made, whether in making a decision to solve a problem or making decisions for his survival. Locus of Control becomes one of the most determining factors of an individual's behavior. An individual who commits a social deviation, then they will be responsible for what has been done, in this case the authors use the prisoners of Class II Narcotics Layer Slow as the object of research. The study aims to find out the picture of the locus of control and Self-awareness in the prisoner as well as the influence of the local of control on self-consciousness in the NAPAS Drug Class II Slow. The sampling techniques used in this study were random samplings, a population of 470 prisoners researchers and samples determined 217 samples. The results of the study obtained an overview of the locus of control prisoners as a whole were in the middle category, the overall self-awareness of the prisoner was in the high category, and the results of a simple double linear regression test in obtaining the results from the t table 0.042<0.05 had no significant influence on the locuse of control on self- awareness in the prisoner.

Abstract

Kebutuhan guru BK disekolah SMA se- Kota Langsa masih belum mencukupi secara rasio yang ideal berdasarkan Permendikbud No 111 tahun 2014 yakni 1: 150 siswa. Kondisi lainya adalah remaja belum mampu terbuka dengan guru BK sehingga remaja lebih suka memecahkan masalahnya dengan teman sebaya. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah mengetahui gambaran pemahaman siswa SMA se- Kota Langsa tentang konselor sebaya di sekolah. Kemudian mengetahui kesiapan siswa SMA se- Kota Langsa menjadi konselor sebaya. Selanjutnya mengetahui efektivitas kegiatan pelatihan mencetak konselor sebaya di SMA se- Kota Langsa. Metode pengabdian menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR). Pada tahap persiapan membuat skala kebutuhan akan konseling sebaya dan merumuskan rancangan modul. Tahap pelaksanaan pelatihan menggunakan metode off the job training yakni metode pelatihan yang digunakan ceramah, dan FGD. Tahap Monitoring dan Evaluasi menggunakan sistem UCA (Understanding, Comfort and Action) yaitu membuat kelompok konseling teman sebaya di sekolah . Hasil pengabdian memperlihatkan bahwa pada setiap peserta kegiatan mendapatkan peningkatkan pemahaman pada saat sebelum diberikan pelatihan dan sesudah diberikan pelatihan. Ditinjau dari jurnal harian yang berikan oleh peserta sudah mampu menerapkan keterampilan dasar konselor teman sebaya. Keunggulan dari pengabdian ini adalah terbentuknya konselor sebaya yang dapat membantu guru BK dalam menyelesaikn masalah remaja di sekolah dan membantu program prioritas BKKBN Kota Langsa agar para remaja produktif dalam bidang sosial

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of sociodrama techniques in reducing conformity to adolescents in Sidodadi Village. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The research subjects were 10 teenagers who were selected by purposive sampling technique. The instrument used is a conformity scale with 26 items with r = 0.84. data analysis used a paired sample t-test technique with the help of the SPSS 20 application. The themes used in the sociodrama were designed based on themes adapted to the daily lives of teenagers, namely: respecting friends' opinions, not choosing friends, not mocking friends' shortcomings, being obedient what friends ordered and be yourself. The results from the description before being given the sociodrama technique that the average pre-test score was 46.7 which was in the negative category and the results after being given the sociodrama technique the average post-test score was 60.7 which was in the positive category. The results of the analysis of the paired sample t-test, the value of Asymp.sig (2 tailed)/ significant is 0.001 or the probability is below 0.05, the magnitude of t is 4.832.

Abstract

Setiap orang dalam hidupnya pasti pernah berada difase harus menentukan pengambilan keputusan. Pengambilan keputusan adalah sebuah tindakan yang diambil untuk pemecahan masalah yang ada dalam kehidupannya. Salah satu contoh pengambilan keputusan adalah pengambilan keputusan studi lanjut yang dilakukan oleh remaja. Pengambilan keputusan ini terjadi karena pengaruh dari faktor internal dan eksternal (orang tua), tetapi dalam hal itu terdapat juga seorang remaja yang berasal dari keluarga Single Parent atau memiliki orang tua tunggal, dimana bisa dikatakan remaja tersebut kurang salah satu peran orang tua. Sehingga peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan sebuah penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor pengambilan keputusan studi lanjut pada remaja dari keluarga Single Parent di Gampong Teungoh Kota Langsa dan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengambilan keputusan untuk studi lanjut pada remaja dari keluarga Single Parent di Gampong  Teungoh Kota Langsa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian menggunakan teknik sampling purposive. Sehingga mendapatkan 10 narasumber di Gampong Teungoh Kota Langsa. Adapun hasil penelitian ialah faktor pengambilan keputusan sesuai dengan minat, bakat, dan potensi diri yang bertujuan untuk mengapai sebuah cita-cita, serta keputusan untuk pengambilan keputusan studi lanjut bagi remaja di Gampong Teungoh. Walaupun berasal dari keluarga Single Parent tetap mendapatkan dukungan penuh dari orang tua tunggalnya. Dalam hal ini proses pengambilan keputusan hasil dari diskusi antara remaja dari keluarga Single Parent dengan orang tua tunggalnya. Dimana untuk penunjang kebutuhan untuk studi lanjut remaja dari keluarga Single Parent juga berasal dari pensiunan orang tua, beasiswa serta ada juga yang bekerja.

Abstract

guide in improving culture-based counseling communication skills for guidance and counseling students and to describe the level of its application by lecturers of counseling communication courses in guidance and counseling service units at universities. This research method uses the ADDIE Research and Development model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research was conducted by testing research products in the form of modules and continued with discussion group forums (FGD) and data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis. The results showed that the culture-based counseling communication skills module was at an average value of 4.80 and the usability test result was 4.33, which means that the module product designed is very feasible and can be used and passed the usability test by counseling experts. Furthermore, the culture-based counseling communication skills module can be used in learning for guidance and counseling students who have different cultural backgrounds.

Abstract

This study aims to explore in depth the role of the family in the social and emotional development of adolescents from broken homes in Seulalah Baru Village, Langsa City. The increasing prevalence of family disharmony and parental divorce has generated significant psychosocial impacts on adolescent well-being. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, allowing the researcher to examine adolescents’ subjective experiences and family interaction dynamics within their sociocultural context. The participants consisted of three broken-home families selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that adolescents’ social and emotional development in broken-home families is influenced by parenting patterns, communication quality, emotional support, religious values, and social environment. The study identifies family religiosity and community support as protective factors that mitigate emotional instability and maladaptive behavior among adolescents. The results further emphasize that the quality of emotional relationships and family communication is more crucial to adolescents’ socio-emotional well-being than the structural completeness of the family itself. Theoretically, this study strengthens Bandura’s social learning theory and Bronfenbrenner’s ecological theory. Practically, it provides a foundation for developing family support programs rooted in cultural and spiritual values, contributing to more holistic and contextually relevant interventions for adolescents from broken-home families.
