Abstract

Communication is important for establishing relationships, especially in the healthcare industry. particularly for front office staff who are the first point of contact for patients. In March 2024, X Hospitals Balikpapan received 168 reviews with one out of five rating on Google Customer Reviews. The common complaint was the lack of communication by the front office staff. This research aims to determine the relationship between effective communication among front office staff at registration department and outpatient satisfaction at X Hospitals Balikpapan The research utilized a correlational analytic approach with a cross-sectional design, encompassing a sample of 96 outpatients out of 45,985 population at the polyclinic from April to June 2024, using a quota sampling technique. The data analysis included univariate and bivariate analysis. The results revealed that 49% of respondents perceived the communication of front office staff as effective, and 49% reported satisfaction with the services provided. The correlation analysis using Kendall's Tau-B yielded a coefficient of 0.427 with a significance value of 0.000, indicating a significant relationship between effective communication by front office staff and outpatient satisfaction. Based on these results, it is recommended that the hospital enhance front office staff's communication skills by providing training.

Abstract

Halodoc merupakan salah satu aplikasi telemedis yang populer di Indonesia, termasuk di Kota Semarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kualitas sistem dengan kepuasan pengguna aplikasi halodoc di Kota Semarang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei analitik dan desain cross-sectional. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 106 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner daring berupa google formulir dan dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Kendall Tau. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden menilai kualitas sistem dalam kategori “cukup baik” (67,9%) dan kepuasan pengguna dalam kategori “cukup puas” (69,8%). Uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kualitas sistem dengan kepuasan pengguna (koefisien korelasi 0,804; nilai p 0,000). Semakin baik kualitas sistem halodoc, maka semakin tinggi pula kepuasan pengguna. Perbaikan pada aspek keandalan sistem, keamanan, dan responsivitas layanan perlu terus dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna.

Abstract

The importance of basic health services is because posyandu plays an important role in reducing maternal and infant mortality rates. The research aims to analyze the relationship between the quality of health services and compliance with visits by mothers of toddlers at Posyandu Balita Makarti 4. The research uses a quantitative analytical design, and correlational description with a cross-sectional design. The population includes all visits by mothers of toddlers in Sumowono, Semarang Regency, in June 2023. Sample selection used a total sample of 34 respondents. The validity test uses the product moment formula, the reliability test uses Cronbach's alpha formula, the normality test uses the Shapiro-Wilk formula, and the data is analyzed using chi-square. The research results show that the service quality of Posyandu Balita Makarti 4 is considered good. The dimensions of health service quality which include tangibles (0.003), reliability (0.01), responsiveness (0.015), assurance (0.001), and empathy (0.001) show that they have a positive and significant relationship with compliance with visits by mothers of toddlers at Posyandu Balita Makarti 4. Research suggestions emphasize the importance of improving the quality of services at Posyandu as an effective strategy to increase participation and compliance with visits by mothers of toddlers.

Abstract

Work accidents are accidents that occur related to work, including diseases that arise due to work relations, as well as accidents that occur on the way to and from work. The purpose of this community service is to increase the understanding of building project workers to be able to participate in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. So that it can support the optimization program for the implementation of the Employment Social Security Program launched by the Government. The method of community service is carried out by counseling, discussion, and mentoring. As for the results of the service, it was obtained that counseling and mentoring accompanied by discussions of building project workers CV. Griya Rencana in Karanganyar Regency, has a positive impact on understanding and awareness of the completeness of occupational health and safety (K3) administration.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat agar turut aktif dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan donor darah sebagai gaya hidup untuk mewujudkan generasi sehat. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Bendan Duwur Kecamatan Gajahmungkur Kota Semarang. Tahap pertama adalah persiapan, yaitu melakukan anamnesa identitas peserta serta skrining riwayat kesehatan melalui wawancara. Tahap kedua yaitu peserta melewati beberapa pemeriksaan karena harus memenuhi kriteria. Tahap ketiga tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Universitas Ivet memberikan sosialisasi yaitu donor darah sebagai gaya hidup untuk mewujudkan generasi sehat. Tahap keempat yaitu pelaksanaan donor darah. Tahap kelima yaitu mengukur tingkat kesadaran peserta melalui kuesioner. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta paling banyak yaitu remaja akhir (17-25 tahun) sebanyak 44 orang (71%), lulusan dari pendidikan tingkat SMA sebanyak 51 orang (82,3%), status sebagai pelajar sebanyak 43 orang (69,4%), dan tingkat kesadaran peserta donor darah kategori sedang sebanyak 45 orang (72,6%).

Abstract

Gadget addiction causes various personality disorders. This study is to determine whether the use of gadgets with screen time has an effect on emotional intelligence. This research uses the cross-sectional method. The research variables are gadgets as an independent variable, screen time as an intervening variable, and emotional intelligence as a determining variable. The population of adolescents is the middle adolescence (15-18 years) SMA X Semarang City as many as 252 people. Using a minimum sample of 100 people, with a cluster random sampling technique. Data analysis using Path Analysis. Validity test with a 5% confidence level of 0.374. The calculated r-value > r-table. The reliability test used Cronbach Alpha with the results of the reliability value > 0.7. Research results: (1) The significance value of 0.751 > 0.05 means that the use of gadgets does not affect screen time. (2) The significance value of 0.025 < 0.05 means that the use of gadgets affects emotional intelligence. (3) The significance value of 0.722 > 0.05 means that the use of screen time does not affect emotional intelligence. (4) The direct effect of using gadgets on emotional intelligence is explained by a beta value of 0.228. (5) The indirect effect between gadget use and screen time as an intervening variable is (-0.032 x 0.035 = (-0.00112), so 0.228 > (-0.00112), meaning that screen time is not an intervening variable between gadgets and emotional intelligence. The better a person's emotional intelligence, the better it will be accepted by the community.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between health service quality and outpatient satisfaction. The research method used is quantitative research with a cross sectional design. Respondents were patients aged 18-50 years who came to Puskesmas X Grobogan Regency in March-April 2023, totaling 500 patients. The sampling technique used non-probability sampling with accidental sampling technique, namely 83 respondents. The results of the validity test using the product moment person test were declared valid with a calculated value > 0.361 and the results of the reliability test with Cronbach's alpha coefficient (C) were declared reliable with a calculated value > 0.600. The normality test using the Kolomogorov-Smirnov test shows that the data is not normally distributed with a significance <0.05, namely 0.000. The results of the study used the chi-square test with a confidence level of 95%, namely that there was a significant relationship between the variables reliability (p value = 0.000), empathy (p value = 0.002), tangibility (p value = 0.002) on outpatient satisfaction. And there is no significant relationship between the variables of fast response (p value = 0.280), guarantee (p value = 0.511) on outpatient satisfaction.

Abstract

Aging is a natural process experienced by all living beings, including humans. As people age, they often experience a decline in cognitive and physiological functions. This decline increases the risk of degenerative diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and cancer, which can significantly impact the quality of life and productivity of the elderly. The concept of the Seven Dimensions of Resilient Elderly serves as a framework to enhance the quality of life and promote more productive living for the elderly. By implementing the Seven Dimensions of Resilient Elderly, the quality of life for older adults can be significantly enhanced, enabling them to lead more productive lives. The objective of this community service initiative is to mentor the volunteers of the Elderly Family Development Group, known as "Bina Keluarga Lansia Mawar (BKL Mawar)” in Lamper Krajan as they prepare to participate in the city-wide competition in Semarang. However, the program faced challenges, including the volunteers' limited understanding of the Seven Dimensions of Resilient Elderly and low levels of community participation in activities organized by BKL Mawar RW 02. The mentoring activities were conducted between April and May 2024, beginning with an analysis of existing issues and discussions to identify priority activities. Subsequent mentoring sessions focused on the practical implementation of the Seven Dimensions of Resilient Elderly within BKL Mawar's programs. The program's outcomes demonstrated significant improvements in the volunteers' understanding of the Seven Dimensions of Resilient Elderly and their application in activities. This enhanced understanding contributed to improving the quality of life for the elderly in RW 02 Lamper Krajan, Lamper Lor, South Semarang, and increased the group's overall preparedness for the competition.

Abstract

Remaja rentan terhadap penyalahgunaan narkotika akibat pengaruh media sosial dan kurangnya edukasi serta aktivitas positif. Program Healthy Teens Movement hadir sebagai upaya promotif dan preventif untuk membangun ketahanan remaja melalui edukasi interaktif dan kegiatan sehat. Inisiatif ini merupakan kontribusi nyata Program Studi Administrasi Kesehatan dalam meningkatkan kesehatan remaja secara berkelanjutan.Program ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 8 Semarang pada Maret 2025 dengan melibatkan 188 siswa kelas VIII dalam sesi edukasi dan aktivitas positif bertema hidup sehat bebas narkotika. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif-edukatif. Remaja dilibatkan secara aktif melalui edukasi narkotika, life skills, dan aktivitas positif, dengan evaluasi pre test dan post test serta dukungan dari sekolah dan BNN, sebagai upaya membentuk remaja yang sehat dan tangguh.Kegiatan didukung penuh oleh guru dan sekolah, berjalan lancar, serta didokumentasikan sebagai bentuk laporan dan bukti keberhasilan program. Program ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap siswa, serta memperkuat peran guru dan kolaborasi sekolah. Meski ada kendala teknis, kegiatan berjalan lancar dan direkomendasikan untuk dilanjutkan secara berkelanjutan melalui duta remaja sehat dan kerja sama lintas sektor.

Abstract

Nursing services have an influence on the quality of health services. A nurse has the responsibility to provide good performance when providing health services, where they are in direct contact with consumers. Nursing performance is based on established guidelines and standards which serve as a reference in health services. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between nurse performance and patient satisfaction at Hospital X, Semarang Regency. The type of research used is quantitative with observational analytics. The research used a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were 1,653 inpatients in 2023 at Hospital X Semarang Regency. The sample for this study was 95 patients undergoing inpatient treatment at Hospital X Semarang Regency in 2023, calculated using the Slovin formula. The results of the study showed that the performance of nurses at Hospital Meanwhile, patient satisfaction at Hospital From this research, there is a relationship between nurse performance and patient satisfaction with a significant value (p-value) of 0.001 (<0.05).
