Abstract

The purpose of the article is to educate the children by reading books. It shows the step by step in introducing reading books to children. An introducing reading books to children on the early age is important. Books are a storehouse of knowledge that needs to be presenting to the children until they grow up . The role of parents towards children is very important because the way parents educate children will determine their abilities and creativity for their future. Parents should be responsible for the growth and development of children in building children's character by introducing small things around children such as books. The function is to ensure that the small family in their own children are provide facilities and infrastructure to develop skills as provisions in social life, as well as media in instilling social and cultural values as early as possible. The method used in this study is the descriptive method and qualitative approach.

Abstract

This article aims to describe children's literature as character development, it is known that children's literature is considered to be able to shape character effectively because the values contained contain morals that are not conveyed directly, but through stories and metaphors so that the educational process takes place fun and not patronizing. Children's literature is able to support the growth and development of children in terms of emotional, intellectual, imagination, social sense, religious, language development and reading habits.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the analyzing the film Upin Ipin as a literary work especially to children. This research is a descriptive quantitative whose source comes from several references to data that can be accounted for and can be proven through dialogues in this Upin Ipin film. Upin Ipin's animated series contains many values such as educational values, character, culture, and moral language styles that are very good for children's cognitive development. The real life presented in the film can be well imitated by children because it teaches very positive things.

Abstract

Children's literature is literary writing aimed at early childhood where today children's literature has experienced many developments from time to time both in terms of form and writing. Children's literature experiences many developments over time both in various media, such as digital and non-digital. This article focuses on digital literary media. Digital literacy is the capability to utilize technology and information from digital devices successfully and efficiently in a variety of contexts, including education, employment, and daily life, especially in the field of children's literature, education, form and genre will continue to be considered, so that children who read get good information. The purpose of this article is to explore various digital media of children's literature. This research used qualitative research method through library research. Data collection in this study was carried out by exploring several journals, books and documents (both print and electronic) and other sources of data and/or information related to research. The result of the study indicate that there are several digital media literature, namely CD-Roms, video games and picture book apps that have advantages such as entertaining children, helping children's cognitive and emotional development, helps and develops the reasoning and potential of the child, developing children's imagination and creativity.

Abstract

The research described character of 12 angry man movie directed by Sidney Lumen adapted from teleply by Reginald Rose,. The purpose of this research was to analyze the psychological theory benefits of the main character such as unconscious mind, character analysis, symbolism also to find the dominant data of the main character’s personality. In the writing of this research, the researcher used qualitative research method. The researcher used the theory of Freud’s theories to analyze the psychological theory. The researcher collected the data from 12 Angry Men movie as a primary data. Then for the secondary data sources from books, internet, journal, that is relevance to strengthen the argument. The data collection in this research was done by watching movie and took notes before did the analysis from dialogue, situation that delivered in the movie which becomes the main data of this research. In result of this research, the researcher found that the main character, Henry Fonda as a Mr. Davis, depicted has individual and social attitudes.

Abstract

Literature is very important for our life. Literature can be enjoyed by all people, including children. There are many kinds of literature for children, namely fairy tales, folklore, children's songs, folklore, legends, and others. Literature for children is made like children's views. Imagination that emerges from children is summarized and researched into children's literature. Children's literature is made for education and as a means for children to grow to know literature. However, children need to get guidance from parents or adults in side by side with children's literature. Not all children's literature can be accepted by children. In some examples of children's literature there are things that are inappropriate for children to accept, such as fairy tales with a romantic genre. Therefore, the role of parents is important to help children get to know children's literature. Children cannot but coexist with literature. Literature for children helps children in their development. Literature for children exists so that children can express themselves as freely and as broadly as possible. Children must also accept literature and pass it on to the next generation. Without realizing it, humans live side by side with literature. Therefore, the role of parents and adults is very important in introducing literature to children.

Abstract

Literary works can certainly be enjoyed through anything, be it through books, poetry, drama, music and films. Literature children can also be enjoyed through films that are currently booming. Nowadays, you can enjoy it with your family in the cinema. Talking about children's literature, it has a big impact on both adults and children, because there are no limits to enjoying children's literature. What needs to be found is the meaning or purpose of a work that was created. Can it have a good impact on the recipient of the work or even become a bad impact. Many think that literature can only be enjoyed by children, even though children's literature does not have a minimum age or regardless of age, from children to parents can certainly enjoy it. There are many morals that can be drawn from children's literature, the more we know the meaning of a literary work, the more we can apply it in our lives.
