Abstract

Background. The digital era has transformed the landscape of business disputes, leading to a rise in conflicts arising from online transactions, e-commerce, and digital platforms. Traditional dispute resolution methods often struggle to address the unique challenges posed by these digital disputes, prompting a growing interest in alternative methods such as mediation. Objective. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of mediation in resolving business disputes within the digital environment. Specifically, it investigates how mediation compares to other traditional dispute resolution methods and its impact on time efficiency, cost, and overall satisfaction for businesses involved in digital disputes. Method. A mixed-method approach was used, combining quantitative surveys from businesses that have engaged in digital mediation with qualitative interviews of legal experts and mediators. The data were analyzed to assess key factors such as cost, time savings, and satisfaction in resolving disputes. Results. The findings indicate that mediation is significantly more cost-effective and time efficient compared to litigation. Most participants expressed high satisfaction with the mediation process, noting its flexibility and ability to preserve business relationships. Conclusion. Mediation proves to be an effective method for resolving business disputes in the digital era, offering benefits in terms of cost, time, and relationship management. Businesses are encouraged to adopt mediation as a primary dispute resolution strategy.

Abstract

Background. Cross-cultural education has become increasingly important in pluralistic societies where issues of tolerance, identity negotiation, and social integration shape educational priorities. Schools are expected to cultivate inclusive attitudes and intercultural competence; however, conventional approaches often emphasize factual cultural knowledge rather than transformative engagement. Purpose. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of narrative-centered instruction in promoting tolerance, strengthening identity awareness, and fostering social integration among secondary school students. The research investigates both cognitive and affective outcomes associated with structured engagement with culturally diverse stories. Method. A mixed-methods quasi-experimental design was employed involving 128 students divided into experimental and control groups. Quantitative data were collected using validated scales of tolerance, social integration, and identity awareness administered before and after an eight-week intervention. Qualitative data were obtained through reflective journals and classroom observations. Statistical analysis and thematic coding were conducted to triangulate findings. Results. Results indicate significant improvements in tolerance levels, inclusive identity formation, and peer interaction in the experimental group. Narrative engagement enhanced empathy and reduced stereotypical perceptions.   Conclusion. The study concludes that cross-cultural education through narratives serves as an effective pedagogical strategy for promoting social cohesion and culturally responsive learning environments.

Abstract

Background. Augmented reality (AR) is increasingly being integrated into education, enhancing learning experiences through interactive and immersive environments. In language learning, AR holds promise for increasing engagement and cultural immersion. Purpose. To investigate the impact of AR on English language learning, comparing engagement and cultural immersion in formal and informal contexts. Method. Mixed-methods approach involving middle school, high school, and university students. Participants were divided into experimental (AR) and control (traditional methods) groups. Data were collected through pre- and post-tests, surveys, and interviews to measure language proficiency, engagement, and cultural awareness. Results. Significant improvements were observed in both learning contexts. In formal settings, there was a 17% increase in test scores, while informal settings saw a 13% increase. Formal learners exhibited higher engagement and cultural awareness, with 80% reporting high engagement compared to 70% in informal settings. Formal learners frequently utilized interactive features, enhancing their learning experience, whereas informal learners showed a preference for independent study tools offered by AR applications. Conclusion. AR significantly enhances English language learning, particularly within formal educational environments. The study highlights AR's potential to boost student engagement and cultural understanding, suggesting that tailored approaches are necessary to optimize its use across different learning contexts. The findings indicate that while both formal and informal settings benefit from AR, the structured environment of formal education leverages the technology's interactive features more effectively, leading to greater student engagement and improved learning outcomes. These insights are valuable for educators and developers aiming to integrate AR in language learning, emphasizing the need for context-specific strategies to maximize its educational benefits.

Abstract

Anxiety disorders are among the most prevalent mental health conditions worldwide, significantly impacting individuals' quality of life. Traditional face-to-face therapeutic interventions have proven effective in treating anxiety, but the accessibility and convenience of online clinical psychological interventions are becoming increasingly relevant. With the rise of digital mental health platforms, it is essential to evaluate the effectiveness of these interventions in treating anxiety disorders. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of online clinical psychological interventions for anxiety disorders by comparing outcomes in terms of symptom reduction, treatment adherence, and overall patient satisfaction. A systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted, synthesizing data from 25 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) involving over 1,500 participants. The studies examined various online interventions, including internet-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (iCBT), virtual counseling, and digital self-help programs, with a focus on anxiety symptom severity pre- and post-treatment. The analysis showed a significant reduction in anxiety symptoms among participants receiving online interventions, with a moderate effect size (Cohen’s d = 0.55). Internet-based CBT demonstrated the highest efficacy, followed by virtual counseling and self-help programs. High treatment adherence and positive patient satisfaction were also reported. Online clinical psychological interventions, particularly internet-based CBT, are effective in reducing anxiety symptoms.
