Abstract

Islamic economics has emerged as an important alternative economic paradigm that integrates ethical values, legal principles, and economic activities derived from Islamic teachings. In recent decades, the rapid expansion of Islamic banking has positioned Islamic economics as a significant component of the global financial system, raising questions about its evolution, practical implementation, and broader international impact. This study aims to analyze the evolution of Islamic economics by examining its foundational principles, contemporary practices, and the global role of Islamic banking. The research employed a qualitative and descriptive-analytical approach, drawing on secondary data from academic literature, policy documents, and international financial reports related to Islamic finance. Data were analyzed through thematic and comparative analysis to explore the relationship between Islamic economic principles and institutional banking practices. The findings indicate that Islamic banking has successfully translated core Islamic economic principles, such as risk sharing, asset backing, and ethical responsibility, into modern financial operations, while also adapting pragmatically to global regulatory and market environments. The study further reveals that Islamic banking has gained global relevance by promoting ethical finance, financial inclusion, and institutional stability. The study concludes that Islamic economics represents an adaptive and evolving economic framework in which Islamic banking serves as a key mechanism for integrating ethical values into contemporary global finance.

Abstract

Background. The increasing heterogeneity of patient responses to pharmacotherapy has driven a paradigm shift from conventional treatment approaches toward precision medicine. This shift requires strong integration between pharmaceutical sciences and biotechnology to ensure targeted, safe, and effective therapy. Purpose. This study aims to analyze the role of synergy between pharmacy and biotechnology in the development of precision therapy and its contribution to improving the quality of healthcare services. Method. This research employed a qualitative literature review method by analyzing scientific articles, review papers, and policy reports published between 2015 and 2025. Data were collected from reputable international databases and analyzed using a descriptive-analytical approach. Results. The findings indicate that biotechnological innovations such as pharmacogenomics, monoclonal antibodies, and molecular diagnostics significantly support pharmacists in optimizing individualized therapy. The integration of these technologies enhances therapeutic effectiveness, minimizes adverse drug reactions, and improves patient safety. Conclusion. The synergy between pharmacy and biotechnology constitutes a fundamental pillar in the advancement of precision therapy and plays a strategic role in strengthening patient-centered and sustainable healthcare services.

Abstract

Patriarchal norms continue to shape socio-religious expectations for Muslim women in Southeast Asia, particularly in Malaysia, where debates around gender, authority, and piety intersect within civil society spaces. Islamic feminist discourse has gained increasing visibility in recent years, yet questions remain regarding how women leaders in Muslim-majority contexts negotiate religious legitimacy while challenging gendered power structures. Malaysian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) provide an important arena for examining the everyday strategies through which women navigate patriarchal constraints and articulate faith-based approaches to gender justice. This study aims to investigate how women leaders in Malaysian Islamic-oriented NGOs engage with Islamic feminist discourse to negotiate authority, cultivate legitimacy, and advance transformative social agendas. The research seeks to identify the discursive, religious, and organizational strategies that enable or hinder women’s leadership within patriarchal environments. A qualitative case-study approach was employed, drawing on in-depth interviews with fifteen female NGO leaders, participant observation of organizational activities, and document analysis of mission statements, program materials, and public advocacy texts. Data were analyzed using thematic coding informed by feminist theory, Islamic gender ethics, and discourse analysis. Findings reveal that women leaders strategically mobilize Qur’anic principles, prophetic narratives, and concepts of justice to challenge patriarchal interpretations while maintaining religious credibility. Participants reported using relational leadership styles, community-based legitimacy, and interpretive flexibility to navigate gendered expectations. The study concludes that Islamic feminist discourse serves as both a protective shield and a transformative tool, enabling women to assert leadership within constraints while promoting more inclusive understandings of Islam in civil society.

Abstract

Background. This study aims to examine the influence of constructivism philosophy application on elementary school students’ learning independence. The rapid changes in educational paradigms emphasize the need for students to actively engage in their learning processes. Constructivism, with its focus on learners building knowledge through experience and reflection, has been identified as a potential catalyst in fostering students’ independence. Purpose. The objective of this research is to determine how the implementation of constructivist-based learning strategies can impact students’ ability to work autonomously in the learning environment. This research adopts a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test design. Method. The sample consists of two groups of elementary school students, with one group receiving constructivist-based instruction and the other group following traditional teaching methods. Data collection involved observation, questionnaires, and tests to measure the level of students’ learning independence before and after the intervention. Results. The results revealed that the application of constructivist principles significantly improved students’ learning independence, as seen from the increased scores in the post-test and positive feedback from observational data. Conclusion. This study concludes that constructivist-based learning can effectively enhance students’ independence, suggesting that educators should consider incorporating these strategies into their teaching practices.

Abstract

Teacher involvement in curriculum development plays a critical role in shaping effective teaching strategies and fostering meaningful learning experiences. However, limited participation of teachers in curriculum design processes often results in less relevant and engaging instructional practices, potentially impacting student learning outcomes. This study examines the relationship between teacher involvement in curriculum development and student achievement in elementary schools. A correlational research design was employed, involving 120 elementary school teachers and their corresponding student groups. Data were collected using teacher participation surveys, curriculum alignment evaluations, and student learning outcome assessments. The findings revealed a significant positive correlation between teacher involvement in curriculum development and student learning outcomes. Teachers who actively participated in designing curriculum elements tailored to their students’ needs demonstrated higher effectiveness in instructional delivery, resulting in improved academic performance and engagement among students. The research concludes that increasing teacher involvement in curriculum development is essential for enhancing student learning outcomes and recommends integrating collaborative curriculum design practices at the institutional level.

Abstract

Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) often face significant challenges in achieving full social inclusion within mainstream educational settings, particularly in countries with limited inclusive education infrastructures such as Indonesia. Despite the existence of inclusive education policies, actual practices in schools frequently fall short of supporting the social integration of students with ASD. This study aims to examine the extent and nature of social inclusion experienced by students with ASD in Indonesian mainstream classrooms from a social-psychological perspective. A mixed-methods design was employed, incorporating classroom observations, structured interviews with teachers, parents, and students, and quantitative surveys measuring peer acceptance and emotional well-being. The findings indicate that while policy frameworks endorse inclusion, students with ASD often experience social isolation, limited peer interaction, and inadequate teacher preparedness. Social acceptance was highly dependent on the teacher's attitude, peer training, and availability of support systems. The study concludes that achieving meaningful inclusion requires more than policy—it demands deliberate social and psychological interventions at the classroom level. These findings call for teacher training, inclusive pedagogy, and school-wide empathy-building programs to promote equitable learning environments for all students.

Abstract

Adolescence is a critical developmental period marked by rapid cognitive, emotional, and social changes that significantly influence learning processes and mental health outcomes. Cognitive development during this stage plays a central role in shaping adolescents’ academic engagement, self-regulation, and psychological well-being, yet it is often examined separately from educational and mental health perspectives. This study aims to investigate the role of cognitive development in adolescence and its implications for both education and mental health within an integrated framework. The research employed a quantitative cross-sectional design involving adolescents aged 13–18 years enrolled in secondary education. Data were collected using standardized instruments measuring cognitive development, educational engagement, and mental health well-being, and were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The findings reveal significant positive relationships between cognitive development and educational engagement, as well as between cognitive development and mental health indicators. Adolescents with higher levels of cognitive functioning demonstrated stronger academic engagement and better emotional regulation. These results indicate that cognitive development functions as a key mechanism linking learning and mental health during adolescence. The study concludes that educational practices and mental health interventions should prioritize cognitive development as a foundational element.

Abstract

Quantum annealing has emerged as a promising computational paradigm for solving large-scale combinatorial optimization problems that are traditionally intractable for classical algorithms. The financial modeling sector, characterized by complex portfolio optimization, risk minimization, and option pricing problems, offers a fertile ground for benchmarking the performance of quantum versus classical solvers. This study aims to systematically evaluate the computational efficiency, scalability, and accuracy of quantum annealers specifically the D-Wave Advantage system against leading classical optimization algorithms, including simulated annealing and branch-and-bound methods. A comparative experimental framework was developed to test both solver types on real-world financial datasets encompassing portfolio selection and risk-parity optimization tasks. Quantitative performance metrics such as solution quality, convergence time, and energy landscape exploration were assessed. Results revealed that quantum annealers achieved near-optimal solutions significantly faster for high-dimensional problem instances with non-convex cost functions, whereas classical solvers maintained superior consistency for smaller, well-conditioned models. The findings suggest a complementary paradigm where quantum annealing can accelerate subproblems within hybrid financial optimization pipelines. The study concludes that quantum computing, while not yet universally superior, represents a viable accelerator for specific financial optimization classes under current hardware constraints.

Abstract

Business incubators have emerged as vital institutions in fostering startup growth, providing support, resources, and networking opportunities to early-stage ventures. In Indonesia, a rapidly growing startup ecosystem, incubators play a crucial role in helping entrepreneurs navigate the challenges of scaling their businesses. However, the extent to which these incubators contribute to startup success remains underexplored, particularly in the Indonesian context.. The research aims to identify the specific support mechanisms provided by incubators and assess how these contribute to the scalability and sustainability of startups in the country. This study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys of startup founders who have participated in incubator programs and qualitative interviews with incubator managers and industry experts. The data collected were analyzed to identify key factors that contribute to startup growth, such as access to funding, mentorship, networking opportunities, and business development services. The findings indicate that business incubators significantly enhance startup growth by providing access to crucial resources, including seed funding, mentoring, and networking with industry professionals. Startups that participated in incubator programs demonstrated higher survival rates and faster growth compared to those that did not. Mentorship and access to strategic partnerships were particularly important for long-term sustainability. Business

Abstract

Background of the Study Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in driving economic growth, particularly in emerging economies. However, MSMEs often face challenges related to limited resources, outdated business processes, and inefficient operational practices. The implementation of information technology (IT) has emerged as a potential solution to improve business processes, streamline operations, and enhance competitiveness. Despite the benefits, many MSMEs remain hesitant or lack the knowledge to effectively adopt IT solutions. Objective of the StudyThis study aims to examine the impact of information technology implementation on the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes in MSMEs. The research seeks to identify key factors that influence the adoption of IT, as well as assess how it contributes to improving operational efficiency, decision-making, and overall business performance in MSMEs. Research Method A mixed-methods approach was used, combining qualitative case studies with quantitative surveys. The study surveyed 100 MSMEs across various sectors, focusing on their adoption of IT tools for operations such as inventory management, financial tracking, and customer relationship management. In-depth interviews were conducted with business owners and managers to gain insights into their experiences with IT implementation. Research Results The findings revealed that MSMEs that integrated IT solutions experienced notable improvements in process efficiency, reduced operational costs, and enhanced decision-making. Over 70% of surveyed businesses reported better inventory management and faster response times to customer needs. Moreover, businesses leveraging IT tools showed a significant increase in productivity and profitability. Conclusion The implementation of information technology significantly enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of MSME business processes. The research suggests that MSMEs should prioritize IT adoption to stay competitive in a rapidly evolving business environment. Government support and capacity-building initiatives could further accelerate the digital transformation of MSMEs.
