Abstract

Pemanfaatan kepiting bakau (Scylla spp.)  oleh masyarakat setempat khususnya nelayan di wilayah pesisir Timur Bangka Tengah cukup intensif. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis keanekaragaman dan kelimpahan kepiting bakau, parameter Fisik-Kimia perairan, kerapatan mangrove serta saling keterkaitannya di pesisir timur Bangka Tengah. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus-September 2020 di kawasan hutan mangrove, Desa Belilik (Stasiun 1), Desa Kurau Barat (Stasiun 2) dan Desa Kurau Timur (Stasiun 3). Metode yang digunakan dalam peneltian ini adalah purposive sampling dan transek plot. Jenis kepiting bakau yang ditemukan teridentifikasi sebagai Scylla serrata, Scylla tranquebarica, Scylla olivacea dan Scylla paramamosain. Indeks keanekaragaman kepiting bakau pada kawasan tersebut tergolong rendah dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 0,94, dan kelimpahan jenis kepiting bakau yang tertinggi adalah Scylla serrata yaitu sebesar 71 individu/m2. Tingkat kerapatan mangrove pada ketiga stasiun tergolong rendah dengan jenis vegetasi yang ditemukan adalah Rhizophora apiculata dan Sonneratia alba. Hasil principal component analysis menunjukkan bahwa keanekaragaman jenis kepiting bakau dipengaruhi oleh salinitas dan kecepatan arus air, sedangkan kelimpahan kepiting bakau dipengaruhi oleh kedalaman dan salinitas air.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh variasi temperatur deproteinasi pada daya adsorbsi kitosan udang krosok (Penaeus semisulcatus) terhadap logam besi (Fe) pada air kolong bekas penambangan timah timah di Pulau Bangka. Bahan baku kitosan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan limbah cangkang udang krosok dari industri rumah tangga pembuatan ebi. Kitosan limbah cangkang udang ebi telah disintesis dalam tiga tahapan meliputi: deproteinasi, demineralisasi, dekolorisasi dan deasetilasi. Pada penelitian ini proses sintesis menggunakan variasi temperatur deproteinasi masing-masing: 30oC, 60oC, dan 90oC. Berdasarkan analisis data FTIR, dapat ditentukan nilai derajat deasetilasi sampel berturut-turut sebesar: 32,01% ; 30,94% dan 28,74%. Peningkatan temperatur deproteinasi menyebabkan nilai derajat deasetilasi kitosan menjadi menurun. Penurunan ini diakibatkan oleh rusaknya struktur kitin pada sampel akibat temperatur yang meningkat. Kandungan logam Fe pada air kulong yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mencapai 6,1 ppm. Adsorbsi kitosan pada logam Fe dapat menurunkan kadar terlarut mencapai rata-rata 99,67% dari kadar awal. Kandungan gugus hidroksil pada kitosan menyebabkan terjadinya reaksi pembentukan senyawa hidroksida turunan dari logam besi terlarut. Senyawa besi hidroksida tersebut akan terpisah dari air dan membentuk endapan. Semakin besar nilai derajat deasetilasi maka akan semakin besar kandungan gugus hidroksil sehingga menyebabkan daya adsorbsi kitosan semakin meningkat.

Abstract

Bangka Island is the largest tin producer in Indonesia, dominated by onshore mining. Various ex-tin mining land reclamation programs have been implemented in Bangka and to monitor its success, indicators that characterize soil quality improvement are needed. One of the bioindicators that has potential as an indicator of the success of the reclamation program is the soil mesofauna community, such as Collembola (Springtail). Further research and variations in the correlation of data are needed to support this statement. This study calculates the abundance, diversity, species richness, evenness, and dominance of Collembola family associated with several soil fertility parameters. The research location is a pilot reclamation land of the alluvial inland tin mine “Air Kundur 3”. Seven families of Collembola were found with the abundance of 6,642 inviduals. The category of this land reclamation is low soil fertility. The results showed that an increase in the diversity, richness and evenness index values ​​was followed by an increase in the parameters C-Organic, Cation Exchange Capacity, thickness and dry weight of litter. The increase in the relative abundance and dominance of Collembola was followed by a decrease in the index of diversity, richness and evenness of species. This study confirm the prediction that the diversity, richness, and evenness index of Collembola species can be used as an indicator of soil fertility in post-tin mining reclamation.

Abstract

The aims of this study were to determine the diversity of phenotypes and the status of environmental carrying capacity in local chicken cultivation in Merawang District, Bangka Regency. This research was conducted in 5 villages in Merawang District which have many local chicken coops. The sampling method used is purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out by gender. The parameters observed in this study were phenotype observations in the form of qualitative characteristics (feather color, feather pattern, feather pattern, feather flickering, shark color and comb type) and quantitative traits (chicken body weight, chicken, chicken breast circumference, length of femur, shank length and environmental parameters). The results obtained were 164 local chickens. The chickens obtained consisted of 108 female chickens and 56 male chickens. The results showed the dominant comb shape was rose (male) and pea (female), feather color was white (male) and colored (female), yellow shank color, feather pattern for both males. and dominantly striated females. The dominant feather pattern is Colombia, while the flickering feathers are dominant for both local and female chickens. The results showed that the body weight of local chickens in five villages, Merawang District had an average of 12.6 ± 9.33 kg (male) and 192.4 ± 2.87 kg (female). Based on body size data, values in millimeters (mm) were obtained for males and females, such as body length 1.734 ± 51.53 and 3.091 ± 104.13; shank lengths 306.6±9.78 and 551.8±18.16; thigh (femur) length 749±28.53 and 1,403±46.74; calf length (tibia) 702±17.60 and 1,228±38.29; and shank circumferences 63.6 ±1.16 and 121±3.77. The average temperature of the cage during observation was 28ºC with feed given an average of three times a day, namely in the morning, afternoon and evening. Environmental factors such as housing and temperature become the carrying capacity of local chicken cultivation in Bangka.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the types and parts of herbal medicinal plants used as immune boosters and food by the people of Merawang District and to determine the content of chemical compounds in medicinal plants used as immune enhancers and food by the people of Merawang District. This research was conducted in September-November 2021. Samples were obtained from 5 villages (Balunijuk village, Pagarawan village, Jada Bahrin village, Jurung village, and Kimak village) in Merawang District, Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The results showed that medicinal plants found in 5 villages in Merawang sub-district (Balunijuk village, Pagarawan village, Jada Bahrin village, Jurung village, and Kimak village) contained 6 types of plants and their family names Akar Medang Sahang (Lauraceae), Pepper (Piperaceae), Coriander roots, Kecapa stems (Asteraceae), Pandan roots & Belacan stems (Pandanaceae & Verbenaceae) have the potential to cure various diseases, one of which is overcoming problems with ulcers, stomach acid, jaundice, and impotence. Parts of the plant used start from the roots, stems, to leaves. The results of the TLC method showed that each extract contained active secondary metabolites, namely alkaloids, flavonoids, and triterpenoids.

Abstract

Jumlah pengguna Internet di Indonesia telah mencapai 132.7 juta orang dari 256.2 juta orang populasi Indonesia. Kenyataan menunjukkan, banyaknya jumlah pengguna Internet di Indonesia, serta tingginya frekuensi mengakses konten informasi dan media sosial, tidak serta-merta menjamin ‘kedewasaan’ netizen Indonesia dalam menggunakan Internet. Selain kesenjangan yang terjadi, berbagai kasus penyalahgunaan Internet juga marak, mulai dari internet fraud, adiksi atau kecanduan, pelanggaran privasi, bias realitas, hingga yang paling mutakhir adalah meluasnya hoax. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian yaitu dengan memfasilitasi peningkatan pemahaman mahasiwa terhadap literasi digital dan informasi Hoax adalah dengan mengadakan pelatihan melalui (a) Metode ceramah (b) Metode praktek (c) Metode pendampingan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini melibatkan mahasiswa dilangsungkan di Gedung Babel IV Universitas Bangka Belitung. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada mahasiswa tentang pengertian hoax, latar belakang seseorang memproduksi dan menyebarkan hoax, siklus penyebaran informasi dan hoax, media penyebaran hoax, lingkaran penyebaran hoax, dan cara mengantisipasi hoax.. Adapun cara caranya yaitu berupa (a) Hati-hati dengan Judul Provokatif, (b) Mencermati Alamat situs (URL), (c) Memeriksa Fakta dan Memverifikasi kebenaran, (d) Terlibat dalam berbagai group anti hoax dan (e) Memeriksa keaslian foto. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan memberikan luaran berupa terbentuk pemahaman dalam literasi digital khususnya dalam menghindari dari berita hoax sebagai bentuk berita yang tidak benar sehingga menjadi masyarakat yang cerdas dalam berliterasi. Kegiatan sosialisasi Literasi digital menuju mahasiswa Universitas Bangka Belitung (UBB) milenial anti hoax diikuti oleh mahasiswa dengan narasumber dari Perpustakaan Universitas Bangka Belitung dan hasil kerjasama dengan UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Bangka Belitung

Abstract

Garbage is a place for disease agents to develop, whether in the form of bacteria, mosquitoes, cockroaches and rats. These agents carry disease agents that can cause diarrhea, malaria, dengue fever, typhoid and others. The amount of waste in the environment is also related to the increasing population. The environment in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province is also inseparable from the problem of waste management. Especially at the service location, namely in Permis Village, Simpang Rimba District, South Bangka Regency. Permis village is a village with quite a large population in South Bangka district, so waste management and health education are very important. Pemis Village has a population of 3,894 people or a population density of 173.77 people/km2. Permis Village has geographical potential, namely the Permisan Hill and the beach. Permisan Hill or better known as the Mount Permisan Natural Tourism Park (TWA) in Simpang Rimba District, South Bangka Regency which is still natural and has not been managed properly. So it really needs to be managed, especially in an effort to make the area an ecotourism area that can grow people's economic resources. The service program that will be carried out is in the form of Independent Family-Based Waste Management activities within the Permis village population. The activity is in the form of Socialization of an independent family-based waste management system and Involving the Permis village community in the waste management application. The purpose of implementing this service is to build community commitment and awareness about the importance of good waste management towards a healthy and economically valuable family environment. So that it is hoped that an independent, healthy and competitive society will be formed.

Abstract

Tailing post-tin mining land has a sandy textured and loose structure. Those physical properties can affect the efficiency of fertilization and cause inefficiency of nutrient absorption in plants. That issue can be corrected by the application of organic material such as cow manure compost which has the potential for plant cultivation, especially for “porang” (Amorphaphillus oncophyllus Prain). This study aimed to examine the cultivation of porang plants in post-tin mining tailings by applying cow manure compost and to determine the best dose of cow manure compost for porang cultivation in artificial ex-tin mining land. This study used a single-group randomized design method with the treatment factor being the dose of cow manure compost consisting of five dose levels (5 t ha-1, 10 t ha-1, 15 t ha-1, 20 t ha-1, and 25 t ha-1). Each treatment level was replicated with five replications, and each replication consisted of five populations so the total population was 125 plants. The results showed that the application of various doses of cow manure compost to artificial post-tin mining land affected the growth and yield of porang plants. The treatment of cow manure compost at a dose of 25 t ha-1 gave the best growth and yield of porang plants. Heavy metal (Pb) analysis on porang tubers showed that all doses of cow manure compost had a Pb content value of <0.059%, which means that cow manure compost can reduce heavy metal uptake in porang tubers. Porang planted in artificial post-tin mining land is safe for consumption because lead (Pb) content was below the threshold of Indonesia National Standard (SNI) for food.

Abstract

Taman Wisata Alam Jering Menduyung memiliki potensi kenaekaragaman jenis burung yang tinggi dan dapat dikembangkan sebagai salah satu ekowisata birdwatching. Namun, data mengenai keanekaragaman dan sebaran jenis burung di kawasan ini masih sangat sedikit dan belum terdokumentasi dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman dan sebaran jenis burung, serta jalur yang potensial untuk dikembangkan sebagai ekowisata birdwatching. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Agustus sampai Oktober 2022. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksplorasi pada jalur 1 (hutan dataran rendah) dan jalur 2 (mangrove), serta metode IPA (Index Point of Abundance) pada jalur 3 (pantai). Hasil menunjukkan terdapat 39 spesies burung dari 11 ordo dan 24 famili, dengan nilai indeks keanekaragaman Shannon-Wiener 2,981. Jalur 1 (hutan dataran rendah) sangat berpotensi untuk dikembangkan sebagai lokasi birdwatching dengan jumlah spesies burung sebanyak 30 jenis, sedangkan jalur 2 (mangrove) dan jalur 3 (pantai) dengan jumlah spesies burung sebanyak 13 jenis termasuk jalur berpotensi untuk pengamatan burung.
