Abstract

Resilience is a crucial element in helping teachers manage various pressures and demands stemming from dual roles as educators and homemakers. This study aims to examine the influence of self-efficacy and religiosity on resilience, as well as to test the moderating role of religiosity in the relationship between self-efficacy and resilience. The study involved 167 female teachers from state madrasahs in Medan City as respondents. Data collection was conducted through a survey using online questionnaires employing three measurement tools: the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES), the Short Muslim Belief and Practice Scale (Short-MPBS), and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale-25 (CD-RISC-25). Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). This research offers novel insights into understanding resilience among female madrasah teachers by introducing religiosity as a moderating variable. The findings indicated that: 1) there is a positive relationship between self-efficacy, religiosity, and resilience; 2) religiosity does not moderate the relationship between self-efficacy and resilience. This study reveals that although religiosity serves as spiritual support, the dominance of self-efficacy highlights the importance of tangible actions in overcoming challenges. The study underscores the significance of building self-efficacy and provides new insights into developing support strategies for female madrasah teachers. Field data support the hypotheses.

Abstract

Learning is a process of changing behavior from not knowing to knowing or from not being able to be able to. Because of that learning becomes something very important for one's life. In conducting learning activities, of course, requires a force called motivation. This paper tries to look further at how motivation influences one's learning activities. Literature approach is employed in this study to describe everything obtained to increase understanding related to motivation to learn. In general, motivation is divided into two, namely intrinsic and extrinsic. Problems that always cause difficulties for students to learn are internal factors that include cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, while external factors cover all situations and environmental conditions that do not support student learning activities. In addition, other factors that are more specifically causing difficulties for students in learning are dyslexia (inability to learn to read); dysgraphia (inability to learn or to write) and dyscalculia (inability to learn mathematics).

Abstract

Membaca adalah bagian dari jendala dunia, dengan banyak membaca maka kita semakin banyak tahu, hal ini harus terus diinformasikan kepada masyarakat banyak, khususnya disekitar kita, tujuan dari pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, yaitu untuk meningkatkan pentingnya membaca bagi siswa-siswi sekolah, dan tentang pemanfaatan lahan Hutan Kanal dengan membangun taman baca bagi masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan mitra Perkumpulan Warga Peduli Sekitar yang disingkat dengan WA PESEK yang berbadan Hukum beralamat Jl. Karya Jaya No 136 Pangkalan Mansyur Kecamatan Medan Johor. pada pelaksanaan kegiatan di lapangan, kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam dua tahap yaitu Tahap 1 Pembuatan materi sosialisasi dilakukan pada hari sabtu 22 Juli 2023 dan tahap 2 dilaksanakan pada minggu 23 Juli 2023

Abstract

Smartphone addiction is a behavior where people rely on their smartphones for daily activities and lack self-control, giving the impression that users are being deceived by the presence of smartphones and applications that provide greater convenience and supervision must be carried out to overcome interaction problems between students and prevent possible negative impacts. caused by excessive use of smartphones in the school environment. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi guru dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi siswa melalui penerapan strategi inkuiri pada pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam di SMP IT Arisa Medan. Keterampilan komunikasi merupakan salah satu kompetensi penting abad 21 yang harus dimiliki peserta didik, terutama dalam proses pembelajaran yang menuntut keterlibatan aktif siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dengan guru mata pelajaran SKI, serta dokumentasi terhadap aktivitas pembelajaran. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa kelas VIII di SMP IT Arisa Medan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi inkuiri diterapkan melalui tahapan merumuskan pertanyaan, pengumpulan informasi, diskusi kelompok, penyajian hasil, dan refleksi. Penerapan strategi ini berhasil mendorong siswa untuk aktif bertanya, mengemukakan pendapat, mendengarkan tanggapan, serta menyusun laporan diskusi. Peningkatan keterampilan komunikasi siswa terlihat dari partisipasi dalam diskusi kelas, keberanian dalam presentasi, serta kemampuan menyampaikan ide secara lisan dan tertulis. Strategi inkuiri dapat dijadikan alternatif pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi siswa, khususnya dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam. This study aims to investigate teacher strategies in improving students' communication skills through the implementation of inquiry-based learning in Islamic Cultural History (Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam/SKI) at SMP IT Arisa Medan. Communication skills are essential 21st-century competencies that students must possess, especially in learning processes requiring active student engagement. This research employs a qualitative approach with descriptive method. Data collection techniques include classroom observation, interviews with SKI teachers, and documentation of learning activities. The subjects were teachers and eighth-grade students at SMP IT Arisa Medan. The findings reveal that inquiry strategies are implemented through formulating questions, collecting information, group discussions, presenting results, and reflection. This strategy successfully encourages students to actively ask questions, express opinions, listen attentively, and compile discussion reports. Improvement in students' communication skills is evident through increased class participation, confidence in presentations, and ability to convey ideas both orally and in writing. Therefore, the inquiry strategy proves to be an effective alternative in enhancing students' communication skills, particularly in Islamic Cultural History subjects.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MTs Nurul Ikhwan Konsesi. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan melibatkan siswa kelas VIII sebagai subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL efektif meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, keterampilan berpikir kritis, serta keterlibatan siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Model ini juga mendorong siswa untuk aktif berdiskusi, bekerja dalam kelompok, dan mengaitkan materi pelajaran dengan situasi kehidupan nyata. Dengan demikian, PBL dapat dijadikan model pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan pembentukan karakter islami siswa.
