Abstract

Telah dilakukan analisis pengaruh kuat arus dan tegangan terhadap kualitas citra Computed Tomography (CT) Scan menggunakan phantom Siemens berbentuk silinder dengan metode pengambilan citra secara pemindaian axial.  Variasi tegangan tabung yang digunakan adalah 80 kV, 110 kV dan 130 kV, untuk kuat arus 240 mA, 260 mA, 280 mA, 300 mA, 320 mA dan 340 mA dengan waktu pemindaian 1 detik.  Setiap metode pemindaian untuk satu tegangan dilakukan dengan enam kali penyinaran.  Penyinaran dilakukan pada dua keadaan yaitu pada tegangan tetap, nilai kuat arus yang divariasikan dan untuk variasi tegangan dilakukan pada nilai kuat arus yang tetap, dengan menggunakan ketebalan irisan 8 mm dengan kernel J30s.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kenaikan tegangan tabung diikuti oleh dan penurunan nilai noise dan kenaikan nilai uniformity . Selain itu, variasi penambahan arus tabung akan menurunkan nilai  noise dan menurunkan nilai uniformity.  Nilai noise yang paling optimal berada pada tegangan 110 kVp dan 130 kVp, sedangkan nilai uniformity yang paling optimal berada pada tegangan 80 kVp dengan kuat arus 300 mAs dan 340 mAs.

Abstract

The concept of electromagnetic induction is very important in understanding and developing modern electrical technology. Some factors cause students to often find it difficult to understand electromagnetic induction material in school is that this material involves abstract concepts such as magnetic flux, magnetic field changes, and emf. For some students, understanding these concepts may be difficult due to a lack of direct experience or concrete representations. Enrichment of physics material on electromagnetic induction has been implemented at SMA N 1 Gunung Talang. This service activity aims to improve students' understanding of the basic concepts of Electromagnetic Induction in Class XII. This service consists of three stages including: preparation, implementation and evaluation. The evaluation of this activity was carried out by comparing the pre-test results before enrichment and the post-test scores of students after being given enrichment material by the lecturer (service team). The results obtained show an increase in student knowledge towards understanding the concept of electromagnetic induction. This service activity can be an effort for school and university cooperation to support student success in understanding physics concepts that are considered complicated

Abstract

This study explores the seasonal rainfall variation in Indonesia under normal conditions, excluding the influence of El-Nino Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) events. Monthly rainfall data is sourced from the CHIRPS dataset, and wind and atmospheric movement data are obtained from the ECMWF ERA-5 dataset. Identification of normal conditions relies on the ONI and DMI indices. Results reveal that the seasonal rainfall patterns during these normal conditions align with previous studies encompassing all atmospheric conditions. Indonesia typically witnesses one or two peaks in rainfall annually, notably in December-January-February (DJF), May-June (MJ), and March-April-May (MAM), consistent with established rainfall zone classifications in earlier research. A nuanced discrepancy emerges in the timing of the May-June peak, previously noted in June-July. The congruence in peak rainfall patterns during normal conditions, as observed in prior comprehensive research, implies a negligible influence of ENSO and IOD on the timing of seasonal rainfall peaks. Although ENSO and IOD may impact the amplitude of seasonal variation, particularly in Indonesia's eastern and western regions, they do not alter the temporal occurrence of rainfall peaks. Consequently, the timing of rainfall peaks in Indonesia predominantly reflects the combined influence of the Asian and Australian monsoons.

Abstract

This study discusses the influence of aerosols on lightning on Java Island using monthly and diurnal observation data from the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) for 16 years (1998 - 2013). Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) was obtained from The Modern Era Retrospective Analysis for Research and Applications version 2 (MERRA-2). Aerosol and lightning data are grouped into rainy (December-January-February) and dry (June-July-August) seasons and diurnal data grouped per 3 hours. The intensity of lightning strikes in the western part of Java Island, such as Jakarta and Banten, is higher than the eastern region, in accordance with the aerosol distribution pattern. The influence of aerosols and lightning in the rainy and dry seasons is relatively stable. However, influence of aerosols on lightning diurnally changes significantly. The strongest correlation between aerosol and lightning was recorded in the afternoon (r = 0.8) and evening (r = 0.9). Although the influence of aerosols on radiation reaches a saturation point during the day, the movement of land and sea breezes plays a dominant role. At night, the influence of aerosols on surface temperature is weakened due to the absence of solar radiation, so aerosols help the electrification of clouds through the formation of ice crystals.

Abstract

This study analyzes tropical cyclones (TCs) in the Southern Indian Ocean from 1970 to 2022, utilizing data from the International Best Track Archive for Climate Stewardship (IBTrACS) and Sea Surface Temperature (SST) data from ERA-5. Trends are assessed with Sen's slope method. Significant TC shifts are evident. Categories 1-2 TCs have substantially reduced in number, duration, and speed, indicating an overall decline in activity. Conversely, more powerful TCs (categories 3-5) have intensified, driven by rising SST. This intensification is associated with alarming increases in the Power Dissipation Index (PDI) and Accumulated Cyclone Energy (ACE), reflecting heightened destructive potential. TCs predominantly occur during DJFM, influenced by elevated SST compared to MJJASO. Climate drivers, including El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO), Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD), and Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO), significantly affect TC characteristics. Elevated TC activity coincides with La Niña, neutral ENSO phases, and positive IOD events. At the same time, MJO influences are nuanced, leading to a slight TC activity decline, potentially due to data limitations in specific MJO phases. This study offers vital climatological insights into evolving TC risks in the Southern Indian Ocean, aiding agencies and decision-makers in understanding TC-related risks in the region.

Abstract

The preseismic and coseismic deformation due to the 21st November Cianjur Earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 Mw has been analyzed. This study uses Global Navigation Satellite Station (GNSS) data and 13 Indonesian Continuously Operating Reference Station (InaCORS) daily displacement data to reveal the source of the 21 November 2022 Cianjur earthquake. The InaCORS stations used include BAKO, CANG, CBTU, CJKT, CJUR, CLBG, CLDO, CPTN, CPWK, CROL, CSUM, and CUMI. This research uses GLOBK/GAMIT software and is interpreted in a deformation map. From the data processing results, the deformation pattern of station shifts in the pre-earthquake phase indicates that the movement of the Cimandiri Fault did not cause the 21 November 2022 Cianjur earthquake but was likely caused by a new fault. This is indicated by the difference between the deformation direction of the InaCORS station close to the epicenter and the direction of the Cimandiri Fault movement. The most significant horizontal coseismic deformation was obtained at 43.86 mm at CJUR station, with deformation towards the southeast. The most significant vertical coseismic deformation (uplift) was obtained at 25.9 mm at the CLDO station.

Abstract

Laboratorium merupakan salah satu sarana dan prasarana pembelajaran fisika di sekolah untuk menarik pembelajaran dan mendorong motivasi siswa dalam belajar fisika. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan di laboratorium biasanya dalam bentuk praktikum atau demonstrasi. Laboratorium harus dikelola dan direncanakan dengan baik agar fungsinya optimal sebagai sarana pembelajaran fisika. Hasil observasi di beberapa SMA yang ada di Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota ditemukan permasalahan bahwa laboratorium tidak dikelola dengan baik sehingga keberadaanya tidak efektif. Siswa jarang diajak praktikum di laboratorium. Alat-alat praktikum yang sudah diperoleh dari Dinas Pendidikan jarang digunakan untuk kegiatan praktikum, sehingga banyak alat yang sudah rusak karena jarang dipakai. Penataan alat dan fasilitas di laboratorium cukup memprihatinkan, tidak tertata dengan rapi dan tidak di inventaris dengan baik. Guru fisika kesulitan dalam mengadakan praktikum karena tidak adanya modul praktikum/buku petunjuk praktikum. Oleh karena itu kegiatan praktikum yang biasanya dilaksanakan di laboratorium kini dilaksanakan di ruang kelas dengan peralatan yang seadanya. Ini menyebabkan keberadaan laboratorium fisika tidak dimanfaatkan dengan baik. Atas dasar permasalahan-permasalahan tersebut, maka kami tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat mengadakan pembinaan pengelolaan laboratorium fisika bagi guru-guru MGMP fisika yang ada di Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota agar para guru fisika mampu mengelola laboratorium dengan baik sehingga dapat digunakan untuk kegiatan praktikum maupun proses pembelajaran. Rencana kegiatan PKM antara lain 1) Memberikan sosialisasi pengelolaan laboratorium, 2) Melakukan pengembangan Laboratorium Percontohan Implementasi Merdeka Belajar, 3) Melakukan diskusi pembuatan alat-alat praktikum dari peralatan sederhana, 4) Melakukan diskusi pembuatan modul praktikum/ buku petunjuk praktikum, dan 5) Melakukan monitoring awal dan lanjutan terhadap laboratorium dibeberapa sekolah yang berada di Kebupaten Lima Puluh Kota.

Abstract

Materi Pemanasan Global merupakan salah satu bagian dari Mata Pelajaran Fisika di SMA. Materi Pemanasan Global ini merupakan ilmu yang penting dan harus di kuasai oleh siswa-siswi jurusan IPA. Kegiatan pengabdian adalah memberikan pengayaan materi pemanasan global pada siswa-siswi kelas X SMA N 2 Gunung Talang. Tujuan kegiatan ini memberikan tambahan ilmu terkait dengan materi pemanasan global dan efek rumah kaca. Metode yang dilakukan adalah persiapan pelaksanaan, pelaksanaan kegiatan, monitoring evaluasi, pembuatan laporan akhir dan pembuatan luaran pengabdian. Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari pengabdian Masyarakat mengenai pengayaan mata Pelajaran Fisika di SMA N 2 Gunung Talang yang dilaksanakan mulai dari bulan Oktober-Desember 2023. Dari hasil kegiatan ini dapat dilihat adanya peningkatan persentase penguasaan materi dari rata-rata 33,8% menjadi 68,4%.

Abstract

Rejang Lebong is a tourism area in Bengkulu Province, Indonesia, which is located close to the active Ketaun and Musi faults which are segments of the Sumatran Fault System (SFS). This research uses 3-D analysis and modeling of Earth's gravity anomaly inversion data obtained from the high-resolution Global Gravity Model (GGM). The aim of this research is to identify subsurface geological structures such as faults, active volcanoes and sedimentary layers that have the potential to pose a danger to the Curup Rejang Lebong tourism area. The Complete Bouguer Anomaly (CBA) in the study area was calculated using modern terrain correction methods that utilize full-scale topographic gravity data from the SRTM2gravity model. Separating regional and residual anomalies using an upward continuity filter with a height of 10 km. The 3D inversion model of satellite gravity data has succeeded in modeling the subsurface of the Rejang Lebong district where the presence of the Mount Kaba magma chamber is characterized by low negative density contrast, and the Ketaun and Musi fault lines are characterized by low and high contrast boundaries which have the potential to cause natural disasters in the region. Analysis of gravity anomalies and rock density contrasts provided results that are in line with the regional geological conditions of the Bengkulu region, including the pattern of intrusion of igneous rocks with high density contrasts and sedimentary rocks with lower density contrasts.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara lari sprint 30 meter dan kelentukan togok dengan kelentukan togok dengan kecepatan menggiring bola pada permainan bola basket. Penelitian ini diharapkan berguna untuk memecahkan masalah yang dialami dan mendeskripsikan seberapa besar Hubungan antara lari sprint 30 meter dan kelentukan togok dengan kecepatan menggiring bola pada permainan bola basket. Metode penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode Korelasi. Populasi yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas XI Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 02 Muara Enim, sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 55 orang. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah teknik tes, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi. Hasil pengolahan dan analisis data menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara lari sprint 30 meter dan kecepatan menggiring bola pada permainan bola basket sebesar 0.14 Hasil pengolahan dan analisis data menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara kelentukan togok dan kecepatan menggiring bola pada permainan bola basket sebesar 0,16 Hasil pengolahan dan analisis data menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara lari sprint 30 meter dankelentukan togok dengan kecepatan menggiring bola pada permainan bola basket sebesar 0,47. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan pada lari sprint 30 meter dan kelentukan togok dengan kecepatan menggiring bola pada permainan bola basket di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 02 Muara Enim. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hubungan  rata-rata sebesar 0.47.
